The setting of the Grand Theft Auto five trailer is in San Andreas, the game world that features all of
the playable characters and many different locations. The setting features areas with huge skyscrapers,
smaller gang ridden areas, various areas In a desert setting, great, vast mountainous landscapes and
streets with “only the rich live here” houses. The trailer shows off the game world, landscapes and
different areas helping to give you an idea of what the game is like and what you might expect to come
across on your journey throughout the game. Throughout the game many sounds are featured, they
are very typical to a game such as this; there is a lot of use of music and sound effects like gunshots
and the sound of different vehicles.
The game trailer gives off a very energetic mood, it is fast paced and shows many different cut scenes,
it shows all the action you can expect and gives you a brief look at the main three characters and what
they are like. When judging the moods of this game trailer, when playing the game itself, you would
expect a lot of joking around and serious debates between the characters as well as having to come to
terms with each of their crazy, fairly psychotic personalities. This trailer definitely gives off an action
packed, crazy fast paced mood. The sounds in the game are very appropriate for the mood of the
game, the sounds of gunshots, gangs taunting you and different vehicles help to give off a chaotic vibe
and set the scene of a gang ridden environment.
Action/Adventure
This game definitely fits its genre, it is full of immense action and with the in game world being so
massive and with the ability to make decisions and choices it definitely fits the adventure genre. The
sounds featured are sounds that related strongly to the genre, gun shots and the sounds of cars
speeding are often related to the action genre.
The narrative to the trailer is of the characters speaking throughout different cut scenes, the characters
are speaking about each other and the things that you do throughout the game and are in debate over
each other’s crazy personalities. This definitely helps to set the scene of what the game is like and gives
you an idea of what to expect the characters features in the game to be like. The voices help make the
narrative suitable for this game as they relate to the game environment and gameplay.

The soundtrack to the game trailer is an upbeat techno type
track, it fits the game very well and helps the person
watching the trailer to get a better vibe off the game setting
and enjoy it more. I think that to create the soundtrack for
this trailer, computer software was probably used as it does
not sound like something that has been created with actual
instruments.
The soundtrack definitely creates an upbeat mood and is
fairly comical in comparison to what the trailer Is showing,
mass destruction and anarchy. I think the soundtrack would
have been partially made with really instruments that were
then brought into an editor to be manipulated.
The soundtrack also fits the game genre as it is very upbeat
and fits the craziness of the game, this would have been
harder to achieve if perhaps an orchestra was used to make
the soundtrack. The soundtrack relates to the game as it is
very modern, probably created with real increments that
were recorded.
The soundtrack fits the narrative very will as it has been
created to not be very overpowering over the characters
voices and varies and loudness throughout the trailer. The
narrative would have been created by prerecording and
editing voices before putting them into the game.
