The Factors Of Adolescent Behavior
The Factors of Adolescent Behavior as Defined by Aloe Blacc s Song, Love is the Answer
Love is the answer/ It s the only thing that everybody needs A. Blacc
The presence of love plays a distinct role on society. The amount of compassion and support given
greatly affects an individual s outcome in life. The story told in Aloe Blacc s music video Love Is The
Answer centers on two teenage brothers who become separated after their parents divorce. With each
son residing with one parent, the video shows a contrast of the lives of the boys. The message of the
video suggests that family life, social environments, and love are factors of adolescent behavior. The
music video uses imagery, videography techniques, and lyrics to convey its ... Show more content on

The video also captures scenes of the father s son attending a good school. The neatly maintained
lockers and hallways, student computers, football field, and suburbia looking teenagers conveys the
thought that he has a quality education that perhaps teaches moral ethics to their students. This son is
also seen dedicating himself to football. The scenes highlight his passion and hard work as he is seen
practicing on the football field. The second son s quality of life is not the same as his brother s. His
mother is rarely seen in the music video. She only makes one appearance with her son. Her short
appearance shows her yelling at him as he lies on the couch, holding a football. This son attends a
school with damaged lockers and enters a classroom that appears to be a rundown portable building.
Most of the students have rebellious looks on their faces and show no interest in their education. He
spends his free time gambling and drinking with rebellious people.
The contrast in the lifestyles of the two brothers suggests that the factors of behavior vary in each
situation. Although social behavior is learned by youth through a variety of sources, including peers,
school, the family and the neighborhood, it is the family that is the single most important influence on
youth socialization (Donegan 1996). Both sons are highly influenced by the parent they live with.
Judging by the stern facial expressions seen on the mother s son throughout

The Role Of Dea Is A Linear Programming Methodology...
The related research uses a variety of variables. Based on the nature of DEA, the number of variables
in the model affects the results. Given imperfect data, researchers often must make tradeoffs in
selecting input and output variables. In this research, in order to verify the stability of the DEA model,
a stability test is conducted by changing the number of inputs and outputs. To get a fuller picture, four
models are developed for this test. Spearman correlation coefficients are calculated to assess the
impact of the variation.
DEA is a linear programming methodology measuring the relative performance and efficiency of
multiple DMUs when the production process is composed of a difficult structure of multiple inputs
and outputs [38]. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Details of the linear form of a CRS model may be found in Chapter 2 of Cooper [39]. The dual of the
linear model reduces the number of constraints and makes the linear problem easier to solve. It is
given below [39, 40]: where is the measure of the efficiency of DMUo, the DMU in the set of DMUs
rated relative to the others; and is the dual weight assigned to DMUs. Constant returns to scale are
assumed in the above model. When the constraint is added, we have a variable return to scale model
[6].
The DEA estimates of is an indicator of efficiency. It measures the distance between the observed
input/output combination and the efficiency frontier. The Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI) is
based on ideas similar to the DEA, but MPI allows comparisons between two periods. Assume the
technology at is implied in a set , where all feasible are included, i.e., .The output distance function,
based on , is . The distance function increases output as much as possible for given input and
technology at time . Following Färe et al. [41] and Boisso et al. [42], MPI is defined as:
Rearranging the terms in formula (4), following Färe et al. [41], we obtain the subsequent formula:
The MPI is thus decomposed into two elements, efficiency change , and technological change . The
distance functions in the MPI can be calculated by linear programming methods similar to those used
in the DEA. DEA constructs a production

Analysis Of The Generation Of Monsters
According to Jenny Strauss Clay, in their journal titled The Generation of Monsters in Hesiod, there is
a natural hierarchy of men and beasts (Clay 112). As with any hierarchy, there are usually differences,
or in this case distinguishing features of the divine, the bestial, and the human, which instinctively
place some creatures above others (Clay 108). In the Greek and Roman myths that we read in class,
this hierarchy is clearly shown through the relationship between the gods and monsters. As written in
Theogony, all monsters derived from Gaia, however it is their appearances that set them apart from the
gods. Clay defines being monstrous as being an anomaly. From birth, a monster does not fit into usual
classifications, or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, there are new standards for all beings.
Greek and Roman monsters are hybrid creatures that unite normally disparate elements, like for
example, the human and the bestial (Clay 106). It is their distinctive qualities that make them
discriminated against. Sometimes, they involve a multiplication of human or animal features or they
violate fundamental categories, for instance, mortal/immortal, young/old, and male/female (Clay 106).
One example of this in the Aeneid is Cerberus. Once Aeneas and the Sibyl cross the river to get into
the underworld, they see this multi headed dog that guarding the gates. As revealed in Theogony,
Cerberus is also the offspring of two monsters, Echidna and Typhon (Hesiod, Theogony, 310 315).
Like Clay wrote, the gods would view those who had multiples of the same feature as monsterous.
Thus, it makes sense how in the Aeneid, Cerberus is described as having three throats, an enormous
bulk, and serpents writh[ing] around his neck (Virgil, Aeneid, p. 198, 6.480 482). Because of this, the
gods are fine with using him as a guard. They are taking advantage of him so that they don t have to
deal with people trying to sneak out of the underworld. This is all because, as a monster, their
excessive power or distinguishing features inspires fear, especially in those who rule . So Zeus is left
neutralize the threat and then incorporate them into his new order (Clay

My Dedication Of The Director Of One Day Program
Greetings Mr. and Mrs. Evans, again it was a pleasure meeting you both during the meeting last
Friday. I will say, it is my goal to ensure that all future meetings are on better terms. I want to thank
you both for your dedication and involvement in Amanda s life. As stated during the meeting your
concerns were valid and will be addressed. I left that meeting hearing you loud and clear. I have been
with EPIC formerly SMVI since October 2014, I was hired as the Director of one Day Program then
promoted to Director of Day Support Services which consisted of all five day programs offered by
EPIC in December of that same year. With my dedication to the quality of services and the
participants being supported I was again promoted to the Chief Operating Officer position July 1
2015. I say this not to boast, but to outline my dedication to EPIC s mission and to the program
participants receiving supports and services. As the COO I am responsible for enhancing and
maintaining the quality of each program and service offered by EPIC, as you could probably tell
during the meeting I was not happy with some of the information discussed and will personally ensure
you that change is on the way. As stated during the meeting, I am really transparent and I am fully

Pokemon Go Is An Augmented Reality Game
Pokémon Go is an augmented reality game that uses the real world to turn it into a game environment
and goal of the players is to find new creatures around them by walking to different places and
collecting them. The game uses GPS to find out the location of the player and guides him to find the
creatures and send them to training centers around. The game Pokémon Go gained over a large
audience in a small amount of time. Although, the game Pokémon Go gained popularity in media,
articles, and of course its players the game fails to provide security for its players in multiple ways that
can result in possible theft of personal information, possible exposure to the dangerous game
environment in real life, and inattentive behavior on the part of the players. Firstly, the possible theft
of personal information by the game begins with players granting full access to their Google accounts.
Usually games being installed take permission from the users for accessing resources on the user
device and do not ask for personal information. But, Pokémon Go is taking personal information from
its players google accounts without specifying it clearly at the time of installation than rather just
asking permission to know the email id. It is reported that if you use your Google account for sign in
and use an iOS device, unless you specifically revoke it, Niantic has access to your entire Google
account. (Joseph). This supports the argument that the game has entire access to

Fiduciary Acceptance Definition
The fiduciary administration is the responsibility of the trustee for managing the trust property. The
trustee has all of the powers over trust property that a legally competent, unmarried individual has
with respect to individually owned property. But it is the beneficiaries, not the trustee, that bear the
consequences of the trustee s exercise of these powers. Meanwhile, by making a transfer in
testamentary trust rather than outright leave them to their heirs, a settlor ensures that the property will
be managed and distributed in accordance with his wishes which expressed in the terms of the trust
rather than the whims of the beneficiaries. A testamentary trust also allows the settlor to empower the
trustee to decide how the trust property ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the view above, beneficiaries may bear high risk for the consequences of intentionally or
negligently improper actions of trustee. So there must be some measures to protect the beneficiaries
from mismanagement or misappropriation by the trustee. In deciding whether and how to exercise the
powers of the trusteeship, the trustee is subject to and must act in accordance with the trustee s
fiduciary duties. The fiduciary duties come from the law of fiduciary administration, whose purpose is
to induce the trustee to adhere to the terms of the trust and to act prudently and in the best interests of
the beneficiaries. Trustees are subject to overarching fiduciary duties of loyalty and prudence. The
fiduciary duties are the highest standard of care, at the same time, trustees have to be subject to a host
of subsidiary duties, such as keeping adequate records and disclosing information about the trust to the
beneficiaries. If trustee breaches the fiduciary duties, he or she may be removed from office, and need
to account for the ill gotten profit. The beneficiaries are entitled to damages, even if they suffered no

Essay on European Music History
Questions to Consider: Europe
1. How is the history of European and Arabic cultural contact reveal through musical characteristics in
places such as Spain and Bulgaria?
In Spain, the authentic flamenco had just a singer. It had a strained type of timbre and melisma was
used a lot. It shows that there was Arabic influence because they also had that type of style. And
because they also used a guitar as accompaniment, it showed there was European influence because
they liked harmony. Bulgarian music also had harmonies but with voices. This was a European
characteristic. Their music is very colorful and lively and I think that was Arabic influence.
2. What defines a music as classical as opposed to folk in the European context? How ... Show more

An easy to play folk instrument is the hurdy gurdy. In the text it even says it s foolproof . To play it,
you just have to turn a crank and press some keys.
A folk instrument needing more advanced techniques is the uilleann. It s from Ireland and it is the
more complex type of bagpipes in the world. It is complicating because it requires a lot of
coordination. A player has to use both of his arms and hands at the same time.
5. How are music and musical instruments used to express national identity in Europe?
I think the music and musical instruments expresses national identity in Europe because there are
different styles of music according to where they are from in Europe. And different countries have
different types of instruments. For example the bagpipes in Scotland. Many people recognize music
with pipes to be from Scotland or Ireland. Spain has flamenco and Russia has their balalaika. They all
express their nationality and where they are from. The countries in Europe have different types of
musical styles that are distinct to their own country and culture.
6. Is language a reliable demarcation of musical style in Europe? Why or why not?
I don t think language is a reliable separation of musical style in Europe because even if people from
different countries speak the same languages, they might have different types of styles. For example,
Ireland and Scotland are grouped together but their music is a bit different. They both play

herself is included in this group. The theme which is emphasised in this section is the overriding
theme that humanity is small and fragile in comparison with the forces that control our lives.
Steinbeck shows great compassion to this group of people, he describes is great detail before this

After exploration of the pancreas, pancreatic lesion was identified by using intraoperative laparoscopic

Is Plagiarism Wrong
Plagiarism to me is making someones work your own without giving them credit. If you plagiarize
there could be serious consequences you d have to face. It could be personal, professional, ethical, and
even legal. The most serious would have to be legal. An author can sue the plagiarist, they could get a
criminal offense, and possibly a prison sentence. They consequences should give people a good reason
why not to plagiarize.
Most plagiarism is obvious, but could be accidental. There are several things you could do to avoid
accidental plagiarism. If you ever copy words from a source, put quotation marks around them so that
you remember you got them from a source. You can write parenthesis around ideas from the source
your using. Finally you should check your final copy for any kind of plagiarism and to double check
that you correctly cited the sources. If you want to be absolutely sure you can even run your paper
through a website that checks for plagiarizing errors. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

part in what s wrong about plagiarism. If you submit an essay to your teacher/professor containing
plagiarism, you are lying to them because they re expecting it to be your words and not anyone elses.

Character Analysis Of Sandra Bullock s The Blind Side
At the age of 45, Sandra Bullock won an Oscar award for the movie The Blind side in the year 2010.
Sandra plays the role of Leigh Anne Tuohy, her character s heart is pure of kindness as she took in
Michael Oher, who she knew from the start was full of potential. But due to his skin color, no one
thought to believe it. She plays a middle class, average american mom who believed in equality and
acceptance. As she had a family of her own, she never failed to leave Michael out of the picture. Her
character is very strong and independent, and in my opinion kind of stubborn but for a good cause. As
many doubted Michael, Leigh used the kindness of her heart to make sure Michael had a clear road to
success, since his own birth mom wasn t capable of doing it herself. This movie was based on a true
story which I find astonishing and inspiring. What filled me with anger though is just seeing how
people were discriminated, and how many did not stand up to be allies. But Leigh really opened up
that passage way to equality that most African American s never really experienced. She put out a
clear message that not all white people are cruel and racist. Fun fact: The real Leigh Anne Tuohy did
an interview talking about her experience and how it really encouraged many to stand up for what s
right, and even the little spontaneous moments can really impact someone s life, in a way you may not
understand.
It s mindboggling, the 54 year old mother of three says. We realize we do have a mission. We have the
opportunity to change lives. If that sounds narcissistic, screw it. Racism is alive and well in this
country; we have to learn how to love someone who doesn t look like us. (Tuohy, 2015) She speaks
with honesty and confidence, yet many still disagree with equality. Why hate on someone for the
stupidest excuses. Because of skin? Eyes? Hair? People can t help the way they look. But they can
help the way they are treated. If you don t like the way someone is being treated, be like Leigh Tuohy
and stand up. Stop sitting on your butts and speak up. Sandra Bullock was speaking to a reporter about
how taking on this role would become a challenge but she would take the risks. Leigh Anne is a one of
a kind human being, and

The Mental Capacity Act 2005
Answer: Introduction: The Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA 2005) introduced a statutory framework
for advance decision making in England and Wales building upon the common law recognition of
advance decisions. Academics considered that a bias may operate against upholding advance decisions
refusing life sustaining treatment 1. It s commonly felt that judges usually give decisions favouring
preservation of life and making advance decisions invalid on various grounds. Recent case law
indicates that a high level of specificity is required for advance refusals of life sustaining treatment
and, in some capacity must be demonstrated at the time of making the decision. This essay will argue
the legal back ground of the advance decisions and relevant case law. There are suggestions that
advance care planning (ACP) instead of advance decisions (ADRT) may be more helpful when it
comes to the practice of law on ground 2. The Mental Capacity Act 2005: The MCA 2005 introduced
the statutory framework for the advance decisions as follows: A decision made by a person ( P ) after
he has reached 18 and when he has capacity to do so, that if (a) at a later time and in such
circumstances as he may specify, a specified treatment is proposed to be carried out or continued by a
person providing health care for him, and (b) at that time he lacks capacity to consent to the carrying
out or continuation of the treatment, the specified treatment is not to be carried out or

199 0 s were the Decade of Superiority
1990 s, the decade of superiority The 1990 s was a decade of great advancement and achievements.
The music, technology and the way technology was used advanced and changed how everything is to
this day. If the achievements of the 1990 s never happened we wouldn t be where we are in society to
this day. Looking back at the 90 s, its far superior over any other decade because of the great music,
the amazing invention of the internet and creation of Google that were all familiar with. In October
1969 two teams of computer scientists, linked computers over telephone lines to operate as a single
system. The U.S. military supported the research, hoping to get communications that would work even
if part of the system were disabled or destroyed in a nuclear attack. Which turned into the genesis of
the Internet Age. In the 90s the Internet changed every aspect of the daily life. Anyone with a
computer, telephone, and modem literally had a digital library at their fingers. As the 90 s came to an
end a new kind of technology was beginning (Malvasi, Mark G., Greene 1).
The 1990s was a time of such tumult and confusion as far as the Internet was concerned that no one
could agree on what was happening, let alone about what the future was likely to bring. Since 1994,

The Chase Approach
The Chase Approach, developed by Marian Chase, is the dance/movement therapy orientation that
continues to be studied and practiced the most to date. This orientation focuses on the therapist joining
a client on their verbal and physical level through mirroring or attunement. These interventions
involve group work that builds trust and communication through rhythmic movements. Mirroring of
the clients movements is a key rehabilitative intervention that validates their emotions on a deeply
personal and genuine level (Malchiodi, 2005, p.71). Susan Sandel, a student of Marian Chase,
identified the need to expand on the concept of mirroring through empathic reflection , which
highlighted the importance of nonjudgmental and supportive growth.

six sunscreen. A small amount of each sunscreen was applied to a square and was taken outside for
three minutes to be exposed to the sun. The UV squares were taken back inside to be soaked in water
for one minute each. The squares were left to dry for twenty four hours. Three trials were conducted
for each sunscreen. After the twenty four hours of drying time and for the results to fully come in,
immediately it was noticed that the lotions made the UV paper much lighter than the sprays. For all
three trials, sunscreen number two, made the UV paper the whitest, meaning it protected the UV paper
from sun exposure more.
It was already hypothesized that the lotion sunscreens would protect the UV paper more as all three
sunscreen lotions contained zinc oxide while none of the sprays contained this ingredient. Zinc oxide
is very helpful for sensitive skin when it comes to sun block and provides a broad spectrum sun
protection that helps prevent sunburns. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One error that did occur was that the lotions were applied very unevenly. The lotions were applied
evenly throughout the UV square and was just left as a thick material in the middle of the square. A
paint brush or using an even smaller amount may have helped apply the products evenly across the
small square. Another error that may have occurred was that the spray was applied directly to the UV
squares. This resulted in uneven and patchy coverage. This uneven coverage could have affected the
results as only parts of the paper had sunscreen applied to it. This may not have occurred if the spray
sunscreen was first sprayed into a small container and applied with a fingertip or a paintbrush to the

Patriarchy s Radar In Don Quixote
Kathryn Renae Metcalf
Mr. Barrera
ISAAP Literature A
15 December 2014
Surviving Below the Patriarchy s Radar Patriarchal structure remains prevalent today with the
concepts of white knighting, fathers walking their daughters down the aisle to be given away to
another man in a wedding, a father s approval for a daughter s partner, and many other cases. In
Miguel de Cervantes s Don Quixote, Don Quixote works to save various damsels in distress as his
patriarchal white knight position and is always working to please Dulcinea through his efforts of
gallantry. In the case of the Captive, the Captive ultimately tried eloping with Lela Zoraida. The
Captive s secret relationship with Lela Zoraida was only able to occur because the affairs were
conducted below Lela Zoraida s father s radar, therefore, he was not aware of these proceedings. ...

to patriarchal gender roles in that a women is expected to devote herself to a man and pleasing him.
Lela Zoraida, fueled by her passionate love for the Captive, is using her devotion to court him into
loving her when she professed her love to him in a prison care package letter coupled with money to

Periodic Table and Periodic Law Experiment Date: March 16, 2017

Co worker: 박정언 Introduction
In 1869, Dmitri Mendeleev and Lother Meyer separately made the periodic table, which showed that
the properties of chemicals recur periodically. However, both periodic tables sorted the elements in
order of increasing atomic mass. This, along with the discovery of the noble gasses made several
errors in repeating periods, one being argon and calcium. In 1913, H. G. J. Moseley ordered these
elements in increasing atomic number, fixing the error. In the periodic table, horizontal lines of
elements are called periods and vertical lines are called groups. Elements in the same group tend to
have repeating properties. Three of these main ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

An Analysis Of Dr. Newcomer During My Internship
A person that I have worked with during your internship that I most likely will never forget was Dr.

life. Most professors I met in the Palomar College did not need write articles and they got pay for
summer even they did not teach any class. I did not changed my mind until I talked to Dr. Newcomer
about his article, which he tried to submit to a journal. Two reviewers viewed his article, and one of
them did not believe Dr. Newcomer had enough evidences to support his hypothesis. Instead of giving

Christina Rossetti Biography
Let s skip all the small talk and get straight to my story, trust me you ll thank me later it s pretty long. I
was born December 5, 1830 in London, England. My parents are my talented father Gabriele Rossetti,
and my beautiful mother Frances Polidori. I am the youngest of 4 children. See there s my oldest
brother William Michael Rossetti, he was always a pain in butt. Then there s Dante Gabriel Rossetti,
he was more of the silent type which was odd, but hey i m not gonna complain. Then there s my stuck

My mother started teaching to keep my family out of poverty, and my sister became a live in
governess which i dreaded by the way. When i was 14 i suffered a nervous breakdown and left school.
After that depression and illness followed right behind. In 1845 i had health problems. From one
doctor he diagnosed me with just a normal health problem, but another doctor thought i was plain
crazy and said i was mental. In 1847 that s when i really began experimenting with writings such as
verse forms as sonnets, hymns, and ballads. I mostly imitated my favorite poets which are my father,
and Dante Alighieri. In my late teens i became engaged to a painter named James Collison. The
engagement ended in 1850 when he reverted to Catholicism. I also became involved with a linguist
but that ended for the same reasons but we remained friends. My career was going great until October
29 1893 i was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although the tumor was removed i suffered from a
recurrence on September 14 1894. Finally i died in Bloomsbury, Torrington square at the age of 64.
You re probably thanking me right now for skipping the small talk huh? It s a long story but it s mine
and i wouldn t change it for anything, well maybe i ll change the part where i die, but kinda too late

Concealed Self In Tang
This art analysis will argue in favor of the dissenting literati of the Song Dynasty that sought to
underscore the concealed self of governmental punishment and the re discovery of self in landscape
paintings of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. During the Song Dynasty, governmental scholar officials
were often expected to challenge the policies of the government, which caused some officials to self
edit themselves due to fear of punishment from the Emperor. Song era landscape painters concealed
their literary symbolism in the landscape paintings produced by scholar officials. However, some
scholar officials chose to re discover the self by retreating to the countryside to create landscape
paintings as a form of public dissent against the new Mongolian government of the Yuan Dynasty.

In essence, an analysis of the concealed self in Northern Song paintings will be contrasted by the re
discovery of self in the public dissent of Yuan and Ming literati painters in the landscape painting
style. After the fall of Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty scholar officials sought to re discover the self
through the paintings of Northern Song Dynasty painters, such as Su Shi, define the desire of scholar
officials to find peace and harmony in the rural retreat from urban life at the royal court. For instance,
Su Shi s Ancient tree and Rock is a famous work of the Northern Song period, which breaks with
academic or courtly traditions in art by applying simple brush strokes as a form of silent dissent
against the authority of the Emperor. In this context, the concealed dissent of Su Shi s painting is

Allusion In John Cuddon s The Moon And The Stars
12) ča:nd ɔr ta:re (Moon and Stars) In the poem The Moon and the Stars, show the star fatigue caused
by the eternal journey. The moon reminds them that movement is the essence of life and only those
who endure; those who are tired will die. The poet recognizes that the arrest of the movement leads to
historical gains; Human history is prescribed in a universe where change is the eternal law of time.
But the universe continues to grow and numerous treasures complement its history at every moment.
Iqbal finds hope in the consciousness of this eternal change. 4.2. 2: Allusion Cuddon (1992) stated
that, Allusion is usually an implicit reference, perhaps to another work of literature or art, to a person
or an event. It is often a kind of appeal to a reader to share some experience with the writer. An
allusion may enrich the work by association and give it depth. When using allusion a writer tends to
assume an established literary tradition, a body of common knowledge with an audience sharing that
tradition and an ability on the part of the audience to pick up the reference. The following kinds may
be roughly distinguished: A reference to events and people, Reference to facts about the author
himself, a metaphorical allusion, an imitative allusion . Allusion is a brief and indirect reference to a
person, place, thing or idea of historical, cultural, literary or political significance. It does not describe

Proteins and Their Functions
Proteins The word protein originates from the Greek word protos which denotes the first rank of
importance , in all biological systems we find macromolecules called proteins which range from as
low as prokaryotes to higher eukaryotes. Naturally proteins are complex in nature performing
numerous functions that sustain life. Besides other polymers for instance nucleic acids,
polysaccharides, or lipid assembles, proteins account for almost over 50% of the total dry weight of
cells, They occupy the largest percentage in living cells both quantity and quality . Proteins are
involved in all biological processes, for instance enzymes(specific proteins), catalyze all chemical
reactions that occur in all life forms, they also transport and store wide range of ions and small
molecules as well as electrons. They play a role in the regulation of the expression of genetic
information and their transcription of translation level in connection with the control of growth and
differentiation of cells; they also among other important functions provide the mechanical support and
filamentation architecture within and between cells consequently important to cellular contraction and
coordination of motion (alan.j.cozzone, n.d). Considering their vital importance in living organisms,
biochemists have always given priority to the investigation of the structure and functional property of
proteins; they can be differentiated based on the number of amino acids (residue) in them, their overall

Freemasons Research Paper
Everyday, there are people are involved in something that is greater than themselves, I have been in
many experiences where the result of my actions gave back to others. The Freemasons give back to
their communities every day. These actions may not be marked as big news by the media, but to the
people being helped it is bigger than anything in the world. One the key points of the Kansas
Freemasons is philanthropy. Philanthropy is often known as rich people giving money to
organizations, but in my case, and also in the case of the Freemasons, it can be seen by helping others.
Recently, as a member of the Boy Scouts of America I have helped give clothes, such as socks, to the
needy. Also on a trip to New Mexico, I built trail in a way that kept the form of the rock and mountain.

Integrity, by definition, is the quality of being honest and having upstanding principles. A big point for
me right now, as a leader in my Boy Scout troop, is to teach and aid the younger scouts in my troop
the correct morals and have them pass them down as well. I also think that being honest with
everybody is something that everybody should strive for. Even though this commonly doesn t happen,
it is most definitely the best way to do things. The Masons lead a very idealistic life and believe that
many positive values such as honesty and doing what they are told. Philanthropy and integrity are only
two of the main points outlined by the Kansas Freemasons, others include leadership and personal
growth. I think that achieving all of these things like the Masons have is a huge accomplishment, as
well as keeping up all of these ideals. The way that I carry myself around other people is especially
big. But holding my ideals highly and spreading them are very important as well. The Masons do a lot

The High Court Decision Case
LAWS 5533 Research Essay 2 Question 4 Explain fully the issues involved in the High Court decision
in Stingel v Clark (2006) 226 CLR 442. Did the High Court reach the right decision in this case?
Contextual Analysis In Stingel v Clark (2006), plaintiff, Carol Ann Stingel sued Geoff Clark over
alleged historical sexual abuse claims dating from the 1970 s. In this case, the High Court had opted
not to follow the earlier House of Lords authority of Stubbings v Webb, which had denied that the
commencement of a limitation period could be delayed until the date of the injured person s
knowledge in the case of an intentional assault . Instead the High Court relied on the interpretation of
Section 5(1A) of the Limitation of Actions Act 1958 (Vic), which reads as follows: An action for
damages for negligence nuisance or breach of duty (whether the duty exists by virtue of a contract or
of provision made by or under a statute or independently of any contract or any such provision) where
the damages claimed by the plaintiff consist of or include damages in respect of personal injuries
consisting of a disease or disorder contracted by any person may be brought not more than six years
from and the cause of action shall be taken to have accrued on the date on which the person first
knows (a) That he has suffered those personal injuries; and (b) that those personal injuries were caused
by the act or omission of some person. In handing down the decision, The High Court

Norwin Meneses Role In The Iran-Contra Scandal
8. Who was Norwin Meneses? What was his role in the Iran Contra Scandal? (Be Specific)
Norwin Meneses was the primary connection to Colombian cocaine in Nicaragua prior to the 1979
Sandinista takeover. He fled with Blandon and other Somoza sympathizers and became instrumental
in the funding of the Contras through CIA sanctioned cocaine sales in America (OIG, 2016). As the
Contra counter revolution began to form, he became the adviser to the military commander of the
Contra forces. He was known drug kingpin of Nicaragua due to his close ties to Colombian drug
cartels and those same connections gave him the access to the quantities of cocaine that would sold in
the United States to fund the Contra s CIA sponsored proxy war to overthrow the Sandinistas.

Analysis Of Waffle House Operations Express
Technology is evolving more and more every day, making it nearly impossible to be employed without
at least some knowledge of technology such as cell phones, computers, and the internet. As a result of
the consistent increase in technology, human resource management (HRM) is evolving into a
technology based function in many organizations. Several HRM services have been made available
through the use of technology, changing the face of HR from a person to a portal. The practice of
human resource management has drastically changed as companies provide universal access to HR
services through technology and web based applications. The term E HR refers to the use of web
based technology for human resource service delivery (Johnson, 2011). ... Show more content on

Waffle House s portal (Ops Express) serves as an intranet resource to all employees, in which the page
s functionality depends on the type of employee accessing it. HRMs can access the portal as an
HRMS, upper management can obtain resources and documents necessary for their jobs, and unit
managers can gain access to their payroll stubs and training.
Employee Productivity
Waffle House requires its unit managers to have cell phones in order to call in their sales numbers to
their district manager every day. The company also requires the managers to have internet access so
that they can access metrics reports as they are uploaded to the portal; this allows managers to be
aware of their performance by the day. Managers are also paid a monthly bonus based off of their
performance so they are able to access what bonuses they should be expecting as well. The district,
division, and area managers have access to these reports as well; however they can also access
performance management documents and disciplinary forms (Waffle House Info Portal, 2010).
Improvements to improve the employee productivity technology would be to have all company
metrics reports to show the employees production benchmarked against the other unit managers across
the company. This way the employees know the expectations and could reach out to the top
performing managers for tips and best practices. T

Sea Turtle Water Pollution Essay
Water pollution wreaks havoc on marine organisms around the world. It is a leading cause of species
endangerment. One animal that has overwhelmingly felt the effects of water pollution is the sea turtle.
I am especially interested in the effects of water pollution on sea turtles as I have worked at a
leatherback sea turtle conservatory called San San Pond Sak in Bocas Del Toro, Panama for two
summers. I learned extensively about the hardships that these turtles fae, dealing with a horde of
problems from egg poaching to injuries due to water pollution. Sea turtles don t have it easy from the
start. It is estimated that somewhere between a mere 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 10,000 survive to adulthood
(accurate estimates are challenging to obtain). These turtles face tribulations beginning in the nest,
such as humans disturbing eggs and predators attacking baby turtles on their march to the ocean.
Humans often don t realize the detrimental effects they can have on turtles. For example, artificial
lighting along beaches can cause a mother sea turtle to lay eggs in a less than optimal spot, or cause a
hatchling to crawl away from the ocean (they use the moonlight to guide themselves towards the
water). Various species of sea turtles are distributed throughout warm/temperate waters around the
globe. Most inhabit coastal waters, lagoons, estuaries, and bays; although some venture deeper into
open waters. Sea turtles are also migratory animals. Some species feed and nest in the same area,
whereas Leatherbacks have been observed to migrate up to 3,000 miles to nest. Once a sea turtle
reaches maturity, (10 50 years after hatching, depending on species) a mother will return to the same
shore she was born at a few times per nesting season, every 2 4 years.
Hatchlings tend to eat mollusks and small crustaceans, hydrozoans, seaweed, fish eggs, and jellies. An
adult sea turtles diet varies depending on species. Some species such as Green sea turtles are
herbivorous, eating mainly algae and seaweeds. Others such as the leatherback are referred to as
gelatinivores, meaning they eat mainly jellies, tunicates, and sea squirts. Various other species are
carnivores, spongivores, or omnivores. As a whole, sea turtles control the

He used more than one frame. He used an outcome frame when stating his preferences, and a
characterization frame when stating that he viewed Marilyn s team as not ready to handle viable
accounts.
What do you project the outcome of the first exchange to be?
Because resources are fixed and limited, both used distributive bargaining strategies and tactics. Both
appear to be competing with each other. I project a win lose for Len. Marilyn tried to get Len to
reduce his resistance point by reminding him that they had made an agreement, and that she was
expecting him to commit to it. Her strategy was shortsighted because she didn t anticipate the frame
they would be using, or the frame Len would be using. Len elected to reframe his position on the basis
of power, using Joe as leverage, which was done intentionally, since Marilyn s challenges seemed to
fuel his creativity.
Part C: Were Marilyn s objectives achieved in the second exchange?
Yes. Marilyn used an active engagement strategy that persuaded Len to reveal his target and resistance
points. She got Len to see that their goals are not mutually exclusive, and that they need to work on a
transfer schedule that results in a win win. She used key steps in the integrative negotiation process to
shift the tone and focus of the exchange. She defined the problem, stated it as a goal, and avoided
stating solutions that favored her side only, until they could meet with Joe to examine alternative

  • 2. The Factors Of Adolescent Behavior The Factors of Adolescent Behavior as Defined by Aloe Blacc s Song, Love is the Answer Love is the answer/ It s the only thing that everybody needs A. Blacc The presence of love plays a distinct role on society. The amount of compassion and support given greatly affects an individual s outcome in life. The story told in Aloe Blacc s music video Love Is The Answer centers on two teenage brothers who become separated after their parents divorce. With each son residing with one parent, the video shows a contrast of the lives of the boys. The message of the video suggests that family life, social environments, and love are factors of adolescent behavior. The music video uses imagery, videography techniques, and lyrics to convey its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The video also captures scenes of the father s son attending a good school. The neatly maintained lockers and hallways, student computers, football field, and suburbia looking teenagers conveys the thought that he has a quality education that perhaps teaches moral ethics to their students. This son is also seen dedicating himself to football. The scenes highlight his passion and hard work as he is seen practicing on the football field. The second son s quality of life is not the same as his brother s. His mother is rarely seen in the music video. She only makes one appearance with her son. Her short appearance shows her yelling at him as he lies on the couch, holding a football. This son attends a school with damaged lockers and enters a classroom that appears to be a rundown portable building. Most of the students have rebellious looks on their faces and show no interest in their education. He spends his free time gambling and drinking with rebellious people. The contrast in the lifestyles of the two brothers suggests that the factors of behavior vary in each situation. Although social behavior is learned by youth through a variety of sources, including peers, school, the family and the neighborhood, it is the family that is the single most important influence on youth socialization (Donegan 1996). Both sons are highly influenced by the parent they live with. Judging by the stern facial expressions seen on the mother s son throughout ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Role Of Dea Is A Linear Programming Methodology... The related research uses a variety of variables. Based on the nature of DEA, the number of variables in the model affects the results. Given imperfect data, researchers often must make tradeoffs in selecting input and output variables. In this research, in order to verify the stability of the DEA model, a stability test is conducted by changing the number of inputs and outputs. To get a fuller picture, four models are developed for this test. Spearman correlation coefficients are calculated to assess the impact of the variation. DEA is a linear programming methodology measuring the relative performance and efficiency of multiple DMUs when the production process is composed of a difficult structure of multiple inputs and outputs [38]. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Details of the linear form of a CRS model may be found in Chapter 2 of Cooper [39]. The dual of the linear model reduces the number of constraints and makes the linear problem easier to solve. It is given below [39, 40]: where is the measure of the efficiency of DMUo, the DMU in the set of DMUs rated relative to the others; and is the dual weight assigned to DMUs. Constant returns to scale are assumed in the above model. When the constraint is added, we have a variable return to scale model [6]. The DEA estimates of is an indicator of efficiency. It measures the distance between the observed input/output combination and the efficiency frontier. The Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI) is based on ideas similar to the DEA, but MPI allows comparisons between two periods. Assume the technology at is implied in a set , where all feasible are included, i.e., .The output distance function, based on , is . The distance function increases output as much as possible for given input and technology at time . Following Färe et al. [41] and Boisso et al. [42], MPI is defined as: Rearranging the terms in formula (4), following Färe et al. [41], we obtain the subsequent formula: The MPI is thus decomposed into two elements, efficiency change , and technological change . The distance functions in the MPI can be calculated by linear programming methods similar to those used in the DEA. DEA constructs a production ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Analysis Of The Generation Of Monsters According to Jenny Strauss Clay, in their journal titled The Generation of Monsters in Hesiod, there is a natural hierarchy of men and beasts (Clay 112). As with any hierarchy, there are usually differences, or in this case distinguishing features of the divine, the bestial, and the human, which instinctively place some creatures above others (Clay 108). In the Greek and Roman myths that we read in class, this hierarchy is clearly shown through the relationship between the gods and monsters. As written in Theogony, all monsters derived from Gaia, however it is their appearances that set them apart from the gods. Clay defines being monstrous as being an anomaly. From birth, a monster does not fit into usual classifications, or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus, there are new standards for all beings. Greek and Roman monsters are hybrid creatures that unite normally disparate elements, like for example, the human and the bestial (Clay 106). It is their distinctive qualities that make them discriminated against. Sometimes, they involve a multiplication of human or animal features or they violate fundamental categories, for instance, mortal/immortal, young/old, and male/female (Clay 106). One example of this in the Aeneid is Cerberus. Once Aeneas and the Sibyl cross the river to get into the underworld, they see this multi headed dog that guarding the gates. As revealed in Theogony, Cerberus is also the offspring of two monsters, Echidna and Typhon (Hesiod, Theogony, 310 315). Like Clay wrote, the gods would view those who had multiples of the same feature as monsterous. Thus, it makes sense how in the Aeneid, Cerberus is described as having three throats, an enormous bulk, and serpents writh[ing] around his neck (Virgil, Aeneid, p. 198, 6.480 482). Because of this, the gods are fine with using him as a guard. They are taking advantage of him so that they don t have to deal with people trying to sneak out of the underworld. This is all because, as a monster, their excessive power or distinguishing features inspires fear, especially in those who rule . So Zeus is left neutralize the threat and then incorporate them into his new order (Clay ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. My Dedication Of The Director Of One Day Program Greetings Mr. and Mrs. Evans, again it was a pleasure meeting you both during the meeting last Friday. I will say, it is my goal to ensure that all future meetings are on better terms. I want to thank you both for your dedication and involvement in Amanda s life. As stated during the meeting your concerns were valid and will be addressed. I left that meeting hearing you loud and clear. I have been with EPIC formerly SMVI since October 2014, I was hired as the Director of one Day Program then promoted to Director of Day Support Services which consisted of all five day programs offered by EPIC in December of that same year. With my dedication to the quality of services and the participants being supported I was again promoted to the Chief Operating Officer position July 1 2015. I say this not to boast, but to outline my dedication to EPIC s mission and to the program participants receiving supports and services. As the COO I am responsible for enhancing and maintaining the quality of each program and service offered by EPIC, as you could probably tell during the meeting I was not happy with some of the information discussed and will personally ensure you that change is on the way. As stated during the meeting, I am really transparent and I am fully aware that there are some issues needing attention and I have drafted a plan of correction for all programs and am in the implementation process as we communicate. • 6. Pokemon Go Is An Augmented Reality Game Pokémon Go is an augmented reality game that uses the real world to turn it into a game environment and goal of the players is to find new creatures around them by walking to different places and collecting them. The game uses GPS to find out the location of the player and guides him to find the creatures and send them to training centers around. The game Pokémon Go gained over a large audience in a small amount of time. Although, the game Pokémon Go gained popularity in media, articles, and of course its players the game fails to provide security for its players in multiple ways that can result in possible theft of personal information, possible exposure to the dangerous game environment in real life, and inattentive behavior on the part of the players. Firstly, the possible theft of personal information by the game begins with players granting full access to their Google accounts. Usually games being installed take permission from the users for accessing resources on the user device and do not ask for personal information. But, Pokémon Go is taking personal information from its players google accounts without specifying it clearly at the time of installation than rather just asking permission to know the email id. It is reported that if you use your Google account for sign in and use an iOS device, unless you specifically revoke it, Niantic has access to your entire Google account. (Joseph). This supports the argument that the game has entire access to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The trustee has all of the powers over trust property that a legally competent, unmarried individual has with respect to individually owned property. But it is the beneficiaries, not the trustee, that bear the consequences of the trustee s exercise of these powers. Meanwhile, by making a transfer in testamentary trust rather than outright leave them to their heirs, a settlor ensures that the property will be managed and distributed in accordance with his wishes which expressed in the terms of the trust rather than the whims of the beneficiaries. • 9. Essay on European Music History Questions to Consider: Europe 1. How is the history of European and Arabic cultural contact reveal through musical characteristics in places such as Spain and Bulgaria? In Spain, the authentic flamenco had just a singer. It had a strained type of timbre and melisma was used a lot. It shows that there was Arabic influence because they also had that type of style. And because they also used a guitar as accompaniment, it showed there was European influence because they liked harmony. Bulgarian music also had harmonies but with voices. This was a European characteristic. Their music is very colorful and lively and I think that was Arabic influence. 2. What defines a music as classical as opposed to folk in the European context? I think the music and musical instruments expresses national identity in Europe because there are different styles of music according to where they are from in Europe. And different countries have different types of instruments. For example the bagpipes in Scotland. Many people recognize music with pipes to be from Scotland or Ireland. Spain has flamenco and Russia has their balalaika. They all express their nationality and where they are from. The countries in Europe have different types of musical styles that are distinct to their own country and culture. 6. Is language a reliable demarcation of musical style in Europe? Why or why not? I don t think language is a reliable separation of musical style in Europe because even if people from different countries speak the same languages, they might have different types of styles. For example, Ireland and Scotland are grouped together but their music is a bit different. They both play ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Sandra plays the role of Leigh Anne Tuohy, her character s heart is pure of kindness as she took in Michael Oher, who she knew from the start was full of potential. But due to his skin color, no one thought to believe it. She plays a middle class, average american mom who believed in equality and acceptance. As she had a family of her own, she never failed to leave Michael out of the picture. Her character is very strong and independent, and in my opinion kind of stubborn but for a good cause. As many doubted Michael, Leigh used the kindness of her heart to make sure Michael had a clear road to success, since his own birth mom wasn t capable of doing it herself. This movie was based on a true story which I find astonishing and inspiring. What filled me with anger though is just seeing how people were discriminated, and how many did not stand up to be allies. But Leigh really opened up that passage way to equality that most African American s never really experienced. She put out a clear message that not all white people are cruel and racist. Fun fact: The real Leigh Anne Tuohy did an interview talking about her experience and how it really encouraged many to stand up for what s right, and even the little spontaneous moments can really impact someone s life, in a way you may not understand. It s mindboggling, the 54 year old mother of three says. We realize we do have a mission. We have the opportunity to change lives. If that sounds narcissistic, screw it. Racism is alive and well in this country; we have to learn how to love someone who doesn t look like us. (Tuohy, 2015) She speaks with honesty and confidence, yet many still disagree with equality. Why hate on someone for the stupidest excuses. Because of skin? Eyes? Hair? People can t help the way they look. But they can help the way they are treated. If you don t like the way someone is being treated, be like Leigh Tuohy and stand up. Stop sitting on your butts and speak up. • 17. The Mental Capacity Act 2005 Answer: Introduction: The Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA 2005) introduced a statutory framework for advance decision making in England and Wales building upon the common law recognition of advance decisions. Academics considered that a bias may operate against upholding advance decisions refusing life sustaining treatment 1. It s commonly felt that judges usually give decisions favouring preservation of life and making advance decisions invalid on various grounds. Recent case law indicates that a high level of specificity is required for advance refusals of life sustaining treatment and, in some capacity must be demonstrated at the time of making the decision. This essay will argue the legal back ground of the advance decisions and relevant case law. There are suggestions that advance care planning (ACP) instead of advance decisions (ADRT) may be more helpful when it comes to the practice of law on ground 2. The Mental Capacity Act 2005: The MCA 2005 introduced the statutory framework for the advance decisions as follows: A decision made by a person ( P ) after he has reached 18 and when he has capacity to do so, that if (a) at a later time and in such circumstances as he may specify, a specified treatment is proposed to be carried out or continued by a person providing health care for him, and (b) at that time he lacks capacity to consent to the carrying out or continuation of the treatment, the specified treatment is not to be carried out or ... The music, technology and the way technology was used advanced and changed how everything is to this day. If the achievements of the 1990 s never happened we wouldn t be where we are in society to this day. Looking back at the 90 s, its far superior over any other decade because of the great music, the amazing invention of the internet and creation of Google that were all familiar with. In October 1969 two teams of computer scientists, linked computers over telephone lines to operate as a single system. The U.S. military supported the research, hoping to get communications that would work even if part of the system were disabled or destroyed in a nuclear attack. Which turned into the genesis of the Internet Age. In the 90s the Internet changed every aspect of the daily life. Anyone with a computer, telephone, and modem literally had a digital library at their fingers. As the 90 s came to an end a new kind of technology was beginning (Malvasi, Mark G., Greene 1). A small amount of each sunscreen was applied to a square and was taken outside for three minutes to be exposed to the sun. The UV squares were taken back inside to be soaked in water for one minute each. The squares were left to dry for twenty four hours. Three trials were conducted for each sunscreen. After the twenty four hours of drying time and for the results to fully come in, immediately it was noticed that the lotions made the UV paper much lighter than the sprays. For all three trials, sunscreen number two, made the UV paper the whitest, meaning it protected the UV paper from sun exposure more. They play a role in the regulation of the expression of genetic information and their transcription of translation level in connection with the control of growth and differentiation of cells; they also among other important functions provide the mechanical support and filamentation architecture within and between cells consequently important to cellular contraction and coordination of motion (alan.j.cozzone, n.d). Considering their vital importance in living organisms, biochemists have always given priority to the investigation of the structure and functional property of proteins; they can be differentiated based on the number of amino acids (residue) in them, their overall ... • 30. Freemasons Research Paper Everyday, there are people are involved in something that is greater than themselves, I have been in many experiences where the result of my actions gave back to others. The Freemasons give back to their communities every day. These actions may not be marked as big news by the media, but to the people being helped it is bigger than anything in the world. One the key points of the Kansas Freemasons is philanthropy. Philanthropy is often known as rich people giving money to organizations, but in my case, and also in the case of the Freemasons, it can be seen by helping others. Recently, as a member of the Boy Scouts of America I have helped give clothes, such as socks, to the needy. Also on a trip to New Mexico, I built trail in a way that kept the form of the rock and mountain. The Freemasons have paralleled this recently by helping with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Integrity, by definition, is the quality of being honest and having upstanding principles. A big point for me right now, as a leader in my Boy Scout troop, is to teach and aid the younger scouts in my troop the correct morals and have them pass them down as well. I also think that being honest with everybody is something that everybody should strive for. Even though this commonly doesn t happen, it is most definitely the best way to do things. The Masons lead a very idealistic life and believe that many positive values such as honesty and doing what they are told. Philanthropy and integrity are only two of the main points outlined by the Kansas Freemasons, others include leadership and personal growth. I think that achieving all of these things like the Masons have is a huge accomplishment, as well as keeping up all of these ideals. The way that I carry myself around other people is especially big. But holding my ideals highly and spreading them are very important as well. The Masons do a lot for our community, and you don t have to wait for others to live up to ... Did the High Court reach the right decision in this case? Contextual Analysis In Stingel v Clark (2006), plaintiff, Carol Ann Stingel sued Geoff Clark over alleged historical sexual abuse claims dating from the 1970 s. In this case, the High Court had opted not to follow the earlier House of Lords authority of Stubbings v Webb, which had denied that the commencement of a limitation period could be delayed until the date of the injured person s knowledge in the case of an intentional assault . Instead the High Court relied on the interpretation of Section 5(1A) of the Limitation of Actions Act 1958 (Vic), which reads as follows: An action for damages for negligence nuisance or breach of duty (whether the duty exists by virtue of a contract or of provision made by or under a statute or independently of any contract or any such provision) where the damages claimed by the plaintiff consist of or include damages in respect of personal injuries consisting of a disease or disorder contracted by any person may be brought not more than six years from and the cause of action shall be taken to have accrued on the date on which the person first knows (a) That he has suffered those personal injuries; and (b) that those personal injuries were caused by the act or omission of some person. (Be Specific) Norwin Meneses was the primary connection to Colombian cocaine in Nicaragua prior to the 1979 Sandinista takeover. He fled with Blandon and other Somoza sympathizers and became instrumental in the funding of the Contras through CIA sanctioned cocaine sales in America (OIG, 2016). As the Contra counter revolution began to form, he became the adviser to the military commander of the Contra forces. He was known drug kingpin of Nicaragua due to his close ties to Colombian drug cartels and those same connections gave him the access to the quantities of cocaine that would sold in the United States to fund the Contra s CIA sponsored proxy war to overthrow the Sandinistas. 9. • 33. Analysis Of Waffle House Operations Express Technology is evolving more and more every day, making it nearly impossible to be employed without at least some knowledge of technology such as cell phones, computers, and the internet. As a result of the consistent increase in technology, human resource management (HRM) is evolving into a technology based function in many organizations. Several HRM services have been made available through the use of technology, changing the face of HR from a person to a portal. The practice of human resource management has drastically changed as companies provide universal access to HR services through technology and web based applications. The term E HR refers to the use of web based technology for human resource service delivery (Johnson, 2011). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Waffle House s portal (Ops Express) serves as an intranet resource to all employees, in which the page s functionality depends on the type of employee accessing it. HRMs can access the portal as an HRMS, upper management can obtain resources and documents necessary for their jobs, and unit managers can gain access to their payroll stubs and training. Employee Productivity Waffle House requires its unit managers to have cell phones in order to call in their sales numbers to their district manager every day. The company also requires the managers to have internet access so that they can access metrics reports as they are uploaded to the portal; this allows managers to be aware of their performance by the day. Managers are also paid a monthly bonus based off of their performance so they are able to access what bonuses they should be expecting as well. The district, division, and area managers have access to these reports as well; however they can also access performance management documents and disciplinary forms (Waffle House Info Portal, 2010). Improvements to improve the employee productivity technology would be to have all company metrics reports to show the employees production benchmarked against the other unit managers across the company. This way the employees know the expectations and could reach out to the top performing managers for tips and best practices. T Staffing Systems Technology required for staffing systems at ... • 34. Sea Turtle Water Pollution Essay Water pollution wreaks havoc on marine organisms around the world. It is a leading cause of species endangerment. One animal that has overwhelmingly felt the effects of water pollution is the sea turtle. I am especially interested in the effects of water pollution on sea turtles as I have worked at a leatherback sea turtle conservatory called San San Pond Sak in Bocas Del Toro, Panama for two summers. I learned extensively about the hardships that these turtles fae, dealing with a horde of problems from egg poaching to injuries due to water pollution. Sea turtles don t have it easy from the start. It is estimated that somewhere between a mere 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 10,000 survive to adulthood (accurate estimates are challenging to obtain). These turtles face tribulations beginning in the nest, such as humans disturbing eggs and predators attacking baby turtles on their march to the ocean. Humans often don t realize the detrimental effects they can have on turtles. For example, artificial lighting along beaches can cause a mother sea turtle to lay eggs in a less than optimal spot, or cause a hatchling to crawl away from the ocean (they use the moonlight to guide themselves towards the water). Various species of sea turtles are distributed throughout warm/temperate waters around the globe. Most inhabit coastal waters, lagoons, estuaries, and bays; although some venture deeper into open waters. Sea turtles are also migratory animals. Some species feed and nest in the same area, whereas Leatherbacks have been observed to migrate up to 3,000 miles to nest. Once a sea turtle reaches maturity, (10 50 years after hatching, depending on species) a mother will return to the same shore she was born at a few times per nesting season, every 2 4 years. Hatchlings tend to eat mollusks and small crustaceans, hydrozoans, seaweed, fish eggs, and jellies. An adult sea turtles diet varies depending on species. Some species such as Green sea turtles are herbivorous, eating mainly algae and seaweeds. Others such as the leatherback are referred to as gelatinivores, meaning they eat mainly jellies, tunicates, and sea squirts. Various other species are carnivores, spongivores, or omnivores. As a whole, sea turtles control the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In drafting your answers to the questions, make sure that you apply course concepts in your answers. Part A: What are the objectives of both parties in the exchanges? Marilyn and Len are both looking out for their teams, and protecting their own best interests. Marilyn s objective is to get Len to turnover five billion dollars worth of viable accounts. Len s objective is to get Marilyn to accept the accounts he has chosen to give her, so that his team won t incur a loss of commission. How would you describe the general tone of the exchanges? He used an outcome frame when stating his preferences, and a characterization frame when stating that he viewed Marilyn s team as not ready to handle viable accounts. What do you project the outcome of the first exchange to be? Because resources are fixed and limited, both used distributive bargaining strategies and tactics. Both appear to be competing with each other. I project a win lose for Len. Marilyn tried to get Len to reduce his resistance point by reminding him that they had made an agreement, and that she was expecting him to commit to it. Her strategy was shortsighted because she didn t anticipate the frame they would be using, or the frame Len would be using. Len elected to reframe his position on the basis of power, using Joe as leverage, which was done intentionally, since Marilyn s challenges seemed to fuel his creativity. Part C: Were Marilyn s objectives achieved in the second exchange? Yes. Marilyn used an active engagement strategy that persuaded Len to reveal his target and resistance points. She got Len to see that their goals are not mutually exclusive, and that they need to work on a transfer schedule that results in a win win. She used key steps in the integrative negotiation process to shift the tone and focus of the exchange. She defined the problem, stated it as a goal, and avoided stating solutions that favored her side only, until they could meet with Joe to examine alternative ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
