Wisdom In Erich Maria Remarque s All Quiet On The Western...
Wisdom belongs to the aged, and understanding to the old Job 12:12. As Job explained to one of his
fellow church leaders, with age come wisdom. In the novel, All Quiet On the Western Front, Erich
Maria Remarque develops the underlying theme of ith age comes Wisdom. With the use of the main
character, Paul, Remarque how as the older you get, the wiser you get. To begin the development of
the theme, Remarque shows Paul in his twenties.Paul explains that since he is young ... the influence
of parents [was] at its weakest and girl [had] not yet [had] a holdover [him]. Besides this there [were]
little else some enthusiasm, a few hobbies, and [their] school. Beyond this [his] life did not extent

As Paul gains more time in the army, he also gains more wisdom. He starts to understand how to
survive in the trenches. Later on in the book, more recruits come to join the company. Paul sees these
new soldiers and sees how unwise they are in how they fight. While being attacked, Paul notices a
recruit with out his helmet on. He tries to place the helmet back on the the draftee, but he draftee
decides to tuck under paul s arm. Paul lets him be and ...[sticks his helmet] on his behind not for a
jest, but out of consideration, since that [was] his highest part (Page 61). Since Paul has been in the
army longer that the recruit, he knows how to adapt to the situation. Also, Remarque uses this passage
to contrast the youth and old age. Youth is represented by the recruit who does not know how to
survive in the war; he hid under Paul and relies on Paul to protect him. Then in contrast, old age is
represented by Paul. Paul not only understand how to survive, he also knows how to adapt to the
situation which is shown by when he puts the helmet on the recruit s behind. Remarque develops this
theme of with age come wisdom by literally showing pual mature and become more

Inadequate Voter Registration
3. Inadequate Voter Registration
3.1 Multiple Registration
Multiple Registration is a huge challenge for holding a free and fair presidential election in
Afghanistan. Voter registration process in Afghanistan is different as compared to rest of the world.
According to the electoral law of Afghanistan, for presidential elections, the entire country is a single
electoral constituency (Ministry of Justice, 2016, p.29). This means that a voter can register himself
and vote in any voting station across the country. Therefore, voter s lists do not exist in the voting
stations, and the required documents are election cards that open entrance for voters to vote.
According to ICG, 10.6 million Afghans were registered within Afghanistan and 740,000 special
election cards were distributed to Afghan refugees in Pakistan in 2004(ICG, 2009, p. 15).
Later, in 2005, through a registration process, 1.7 million more elections cards added to the previously
available voter cards. Similarly, in 2009, 4.4 million new voter cards were issued for those who
supposedly were not registered before. With these new voter cards, a number of election cards in
circulations reached 17 million. However, the eligible voters in ... Show more content on

Insecurity has negatively affected the whole electoral process, including voter registration, election
campaigns, actual voting process, and counting. Poor security had its effects over registration process.
For example, in the southern and southeastern regions, many registration centers were closed or the
process of registration was limited (Fair, 2009, p. 5). In consonance with the rapid assessment review
of the USAID (2014), upon reflecting over the extent of the existential threats, the IEC followed the
recommendation from the Ministry of Interior to close more than 10 percent of 7,000 polling centers

I. INTRODUCCION

Facebook And Social Networking Sites Essay
New media has been easily made available everywhere and Facebook in particular as one of the world
most popular social networking site (SNS) can be made accessible from desktops, laptops,
smartphones and tablet because of this, almost everybody can have access to Facebook anywhere they
go. For the most reason, due to the introduction of new media, Facebook plays a key role
communication and staying in touch with families, friends, acquaintances, businesses, groups
meetings and a whole lot of others. Moreover it has also been useful in growing markets and
advertising mediums through big companies, brands and highly respectable top class businesses. New
media as a broad topic can be defined as a form of communication which transmits information
through a medium that uses routers and servers via high speed internet and involves materials been
received via desktops, computers, tablets and smartphones . In this paper, I will like to convey how the
dramaturgical model of social interaction on the use of Facebook reveal how humans communicate
their identities using front stage, back stage and impression management to have a perceived view
about the world as well as how it reflects Facebook users everyday lives. To begin with, the world s
largest Social media site (Facebook) has made it possible for your front stage, back stage and
impression management to be different due to the individual view of how they want to be perceived,

The Cuban Missile Crisis
Explanation: Like what it is said. North Korea can and will be a threat, and we need to keep a close
watch on them before it is too late. Everybody needs to be ready. Kim Jong Un looks like an innocent
man but behind closed doors, that is where he is most dangerous. He can be planning and preparing an
attack that nobody even know.
Topic Sentence: The Cuban missile was a crazy time. It happened some fifty years ago when John F.
Kennedy was president. It was when one of U.S. spy plane caught Soviet Union trying to sneak some
nuclear missiles into Cuba that was ninety miles off the United States coast. Soon enough president
Kennedy had to talk to one of their leaders about what are they doing with the missiles and if they do
not remove it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Topic Sentence: the other reason to why not all nations have access to nuclear weapons, is because
there are some countries that we know a little or not at all about what they are doing with the nuclear
weapons. Like in Iran, we do not know if they are making more nuclear weapons or using it for
medical purposes. Iran sixth president Mahmound Ahmadinejad, said that his country has been a
member of International Atomic Energy Agency for over thirty three years now. Ahmadinejad said
that the by law all agency guarantees him to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes only, but
everybody knows that nuclear energy can be used the wrong way also. For what it seems, there are
possibilities that there are ways to make nuclear energy into bombs or just weapons of mass
destruction.
Evidence: This is why we should worry about Iran s missiles. Just last fall Washington and European
capital been involved in a long time bout with Iran nuclear diplomacy. In Washington, they hope that
there hopes will run high and the effort will help the threat posed by Tehran s atomic ambitions. The
diplomatic deal is not only to limit Iran s capability to build nuclear weapons but to also deliver to
them. United states thinks that Iran is not really a threat to us but according to U.S. intelligence
assessments, Iran already have the most powerful missile in the Middle East. They also have ballistic
missiles that can be a

The Essential Gandhi By Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi once said, Nonviolence is not a garment to be put on and off at will. Its seat is in the
heart, and it must be an inseparable part of our being . The book The Essential Gandhi expresses
Gandhi s views on issues like untouchability, religion, nationality, his movements like civil
disobedience are deeply shown in this book. Readers can learn about Gandhi s childhood, his early
married life, his realization and transition in South Africa, and his ways of approach towards attaining
Independence in India. The book did a fantastic job in showing the Gandhi s principles like non
violence with exemplary contexts. The researcher understood the specific theme chosen and was a bit
au fait with the topic, because she had a keen interest in Gandhi and all his work. In an age where
violence is on the increase Gandhi s message of non violence is needed. It is the researchers hope that
this IA will reach a wide cross section of people and will effect a change. Gandhi s views on issues
like untouchability are deeply dealt with. Never anywhere Gandhi s views about untouchability were
effectively heard. But, in this book they were dealt in detail with lots of arguments and convincing
proofs of why untouchability is sin. Even his co living with the untouchables and the resistance he
faced for that is discussed. His views on religion, nationality, his movements like civil disobedience,
are also clearly shown. Even his opinions on many religions were discussed in deep; a striking

Essay on Macbeth and the Gunpowder Plot of 1605
Macbeth and the Gunpowder Plot of 1605
Shakespeare s Macbeth was influenced by the gunpowder plot of 1605. The equivocation that was
inspired by this event played an important role in the play. The general theme of Macbeth reflects the
mood of society at the time that it was written. This relationship is a direct reflection of the mimetic
theory. This paper will examine the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 and the role of equivocation in the
subsequent prosecutions during the time that Shakespeare was writing Macbeth, and show how
Macbeth was influenced by the event.
On the night of November 4, 1605, an important discovery was made in London: thirty six barrels of

Under the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1558 to 1603), the Church of England that was created by King
Henry VIII (who reigned from 1509 1547) was the only tolerated religion in England. The Church of
England held that the British Monarchy, rather than the Pope, was the leader of the church. The
Catholic religion was forced underground.
Guy Fawkes was born a protestant but was surrounded by Catholics as he was growing up. He
converted to Catholicism shortly before enlisting as a mercenary in the Spanish army in the
Netherlands in 1593. There he was free to practice the Catholic Faith. By the time he was 21 Guy had
sold his inheritance and had joined the Catholic forces fighting in the Low Countries. For twelve years
he served as a military man in the Netherlands. He was trained as a miner, skilled with gunpowder and
in the arts of tunneling.2
The prohibition of Catholicism and the persecution of all who practiced the faith led to a conspiracy to
liberate Catholicism in England. When Guy Fawkes returned to England in May, 1604 he met with
fellow conspirators. This group included:
Robert Catesby: Mover of the scheme; Kit and John

Joseph Stalin s Ignorance
On the death of Vladimir Lenin in 1924, competition emerged between leading Bolsheviks Leon
Trotsky and Joseph Stalin to succeed as Soviet leader. There were several reasons why Stalin, rather
than Trotsky, succeeded Lenin such as Trotsky s ignorance; Stalin s cunning; Trotsky s arrogance;
Stalin s ever increasing influence and Trotsky s relaxed attitude. In this essay I will be exploring the
contribution of Stalin s cunning, and both Trotsky s arrogance and ignorance that resulted in Stalin s
succession and Trotsky s fall from grace. Despite starting his political journey as a supporter of the
Menshevik wing (peaceful communism), Leon Trotsky became one of the paramount powers of the
Bolshevik party, leading their Red Army to victory during the Russian civil war of 1918 to 1921; so ...

This may have presented the committee members an attitude of superiority by Trotsky, as though he
was too important to be dealing with such inferior men and their childish matters.
Similarly, Trotsky seemed to be ignorant of Stalin s determination and no boundaries attitude to
becoming leader. Deutscher also wrote that Trotsky refrained from attacking Stalin as he felt secure .
In her book, Stalin: Man of Steel (1968), Elizabeth Roberts states that there was little doubt about the
Red Army s support of Trotsky, should he try to seize power. However, he failed to use his popularity
with the Red Army to his advantage because he did not recognise the threat of Stalin and the possible
future need he could have had for them.
It also appears that Trotsky did not realise his removal from his position of Head of the Army by Stalin
s suggestion was part of the latter s plan to clinch power and Robert s report states that Trotsky made
no protest in regards to his new post of being in charge of the electrification of

2.1 Research and Report on Rapid Interface Design Tools
Introduction
A rapid prototype is defined as a 3D model generated rapidly with the help of Computer Aided Design
(CAD) drawing. The process of creating such a masterpiece requires a number of prerequisites to be
fulfilled on the onset of creating the 3D model. The various portions of the model are built layer after
layer. The processes involved in the creation process include solid ground curing; selective laser
sintering, fused deposition modelling, and stereo lithography.
Rapid Prototyping Tools
There is a wide array of rapid prototyping software available in the market today. They range from
WebZap, Balsamiq, Pencil and paper, all the way to Bootstrap. In this assignment, special focus will
be given to the review of Bootstrap.
Bootstrap
This is specially designed for prototyping in code. It bypasses many basics of creating and enforcing a
basic User interface (UI). This software was designed to eliminate the need for having to write all the
codes you need by hand. It works by availing Bootstrap components you require for rapid prototyping
in the canvas section.
Bootstrap Builders and Editors

Tungsten Essay
In 1781, Carl Wilhelm Scheele discovered Tungsten, which is also known as Wolfram. The word
Tungsten is used in the United States, but Wolfram is still used in some European countries. Tungsten
comes from the Swedish language which means heavy stone . Tungsten is a very strong, shiny, gray
white metal that makes up just a tiny fraction of the earth s crust and is always combined with other
elements as compounds. Every tungsten atom has 74 positively charged protons in the nucleus which
means it also has 74 negatively charged electrons revolving around the nucleus. Tungsten played a big
role in the background of World War II. Portugal was the main source of this element which meant,

However it combines with other elements to form compounds in minerals. An interesting fact is that
wolframite and scheelite are the only two important sources of the metal. Wolframite contains varying
amounts of iron tungstate and manganese tungstate. Another important tungsten mineral is scheelite,
which varies in color from white to green. The leading producers of tungsten are China, with 37,000
tons, Russia, with 3,600 tons and Austria, with 1,700 tons. Another interesting fact is that more than
half of the world s supply of tungsten comes from mines in the Nah Ling Mountains of Jianxi, Henan
and Quangdong provinces of China. The method to extract tungsten ore is generally a compromise
between safety and cost. One way to mine it is using the room and pillar method, which is cutting
rooms in tungsten, and leaving a series of columns called pillars . However other mines use the bulk
mining method of slashing out the ore . This involves drilling into the face of the tungsten deposit to
carve out large chunks of the ore. Around 30% of tungsten comes from scrap and waste metal.
Tungsten its self is not a major pollutant, but scrap and waste tungsten may contain other metals that
are harmful to the environment. In addition, recycling is a lot cheaper than disposing of the waste

Materialism Personal Statement
As a child, I ve always understood the world as a place where people desire upward mobility and
considered material wealth as happiness. Although I do not consider myself a materialistic person, my
perception has been shaped by several tribulations where material has affected my personal
relationships. My own philosophy is that I live by is to explore the things that you re scare of and to
challenge the unknown. Without exploring our fears, I think that we wouldn t be able to expand our
own perception of the truth and surroundings. In my opinion, our fears hold metaphors and significant
meanings that we repress and are frightened to face. In fact, they may reveal important truths, which

You Know When The Men Are Gone By Siobhan Fallon
Siobhan Fallon, has a Master of Fine Art from the New School in New York City in addition to being
a military spouse, is the author of You Know When the Men Are Gone a short story collection book.
In the short story You Survived the War Now Survive the Homecoming Fallon writes a gripping and
enticing story about Carla and her beloved husband, Ted, who returns from war as a changed man.
Carla is struggling with Ted because he is easily enraged and poses as a threat to Carla and their seven
month year old child. Throughout the story Ted and Carla must work together to bridge the change
that war brought upon them. In 2011 You Know When the Men Are Gone was published, during this
time, the war in Iraq was coming to end and soldiers were returning home from deployment. Fallon s
primary audience consisted of American civilians unaffiliated with a military family or lifestyle.
Therefore the audience may be aware of the life of a military spouse but not entirely informed on the
effects war has on a family. This audience shares similar values on family, for example how important
honesty and patience is within families. Although returning home is the most exuberant time for a
soldier longing for their family, Fallon s use of third person perspective in the short story You
Survived the War Now Survive the Homecoming exemplifies the reality of Carla, the wife, dealing
with the hardships of a returning soldier because adjusting back to normal civilian lifestyle seems
unfeasible.

important role on a drama that took place in 1936. An event that has often been forgotten by many,
and it is well known for few as the Citrus War of 1936
According to the agricultural census, in 1935 Orange County had roughly 70,000 acres dedicated to
the production of citrus such as that of oranges (usda.gov) This represented a major form of income
for the county, since approximately 70% of the oranges produced in the U.S. originated from
California alone (cdfa.ca.gov). Orange county was at the center of those that benefited from the
booming of oranges, but there was a small group who did not gained much out of this economy

The Role Of Lady Capulet In Romeo And Juliet
In William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, Lady Capulet and the Nurse are responsible for the deaths
of Romeo and Juliet because Lady Capulet is pragmatic and the Nurse is irresponsible. Lady Capulet s
traditional views on love and forcing her daughter to marry Paris are two examples in which Lady
Capulet shows us that being pragmatic was the cause for the lover s deaths. Compared to Juliet, Lady
Capulet is very pragmatic when its comes to views on the meaning and ideas of love. Her opinion is
that the tradition of arranged marriages is correct, as in that marriage should be arranged by your
parents and you should do what you are told. Lady Capulet instructs Juliet to seek out her future
husband at the party and asks her, What say you? Can you love the gentleman? This night you shall
behold him at our feast (1.3.85 100). Lady Capulet, who married at a young age, offers complete
support for her husband s plan for their daughter, and puts pressure on Juliet to think about Paris as a
husband even before Juliet has begun to think about marriage at all. Considering the fact that a
marriage to Paris would bring increasing social status and wealth for the Capulets, it s reasonable to
say that Lady Capulet was thinking about this situation pragmatically. Assuming that Lady Capulet is
still quite young herself, she should be able to remember her feelings of being forced into an arranged
marriage and use them to persuade Juliet in a different approach. If Lady Capulet had put less pressure
on Juliet to marry Paris or consider the fact that she might not even want to marry for social status or
wealth, Juliet s death might not have taken place in the way it did. When Juliet rebels against the
planned marriage with Paris, she s rebelling against her mother s way of life, and against the kind of
marriage that Lady Capulet learned to suffer through. After Juliet refuses to marry Paris as her parents
wish, Lady Capulet comes in and responds, Talk not to me, for I ll not say a word Do as thou wilt, for
I have done with thee (3.5.15). These words express how Lady Capulet is an irresponsible mother. She
declares that she is done with this entire situation showing that she s ineffectual. There is a major

In This Essay, We Will Consider And Analyse The Effect
In this essay, we will consider and analyse the effect of Brexit upon the rights of individuals as well as
the effect it will have upon the competence of the devolved Scottish government and its relationship
with the UK.
Treaties, regulations and directives make up the European Union (EU) law. They have a direct effect
which means that they are directly implemented in United Kingdom(UK) law. However, a Directive is
binding to the result to be achieved, upon each member state to which it is addressed, but shall leave
to the national authorities the choice of form and methods . The national law is legislated in a way that
gives effect to the directive. As a result of Brexit treaties and regulations will no longer have effect in

The charter was still carrying out its main role of reaffirming rights, but the UK did not allow it to go
beyond this power.
Leaving the EU would mean that the charter would no longer apply in the UK, as a result a lot of our
rights such as environmental protection, data protection etc would be lost. Also, EU regulations and
any future or unimplemented legislation cannot be relied upon in UK courts. Therefore, any future
improvements of fundamental rights protection will cease to apply in the UK
As the UK has now left the EU the most important question is what will happen to our rights. There is
great uncertainty about this as it depends upon what path the UK takes and what sort of contact it
maintains with the EU. For example, if it joins the European Economic Area (EEA) then the EU
fundamental rights law will still apply, this is because the European Free Trade Association has held
that the provisions of the EEA agreement are to be interpreted in the light of EU law. Additionally, the
remedies available under the EU law are wider than those under the HRA 1998 because of the
supremacy principle. The UK will have civil and political rights, but it will lose a wide range of rights
and there will be less remedial options for violations. The Human Rights Centre at the University of

Old Breed At Peleliu And Okinawa Analysis
The nature of warfare is unfathomable to someone who hasn t experienced it. Yet, With The Old Breed
At Peleliu and Okinawa describes every aspect of war. Sledge describes his experience by giving the
reader the idea of what war is like, the ability to picture it in their heads, and evoke some sort of
emotions from his experience when he was there. In order for Sledge to describe the nature of his
experience in the war, he needed to describe the essence of what it was truly like. I asked God Why,
why, why? I turned my face away and wished that I were imagining it all. I had tasted the bitterest
essence of war, the sight of helpless comrades being slaughtered, and it filled me with disgust.

The psychological effects, the mentality of fighting and killing another human, and the sheer
decimation of human values is what makes war atrocious. War is not only fought on the battlefield
though. This book also describes the feelings of a soldier fighting his own demons that war has
brought on. The battle that the soldier has with himself, is almost if not more damaging than the
physical battle of war. He will never forget his experience with battle, no matter how hard he tries the
memories of artillery, blood, and death cannot be erased. I prayed like you to survive, but look at me
now. It is over for us who are dead, but you must struggle, and will carry the memories all your life.
People back home will wonder why you can t forget. (Sledge). This struggle still happens to soldiers
today. Sledge s words of the struggles still captures the effects of warfare that lingers today. The other
effects that war has on the men is the instability that surrounds them at every hour of the day. They are
either engaged in battle having bullets and artillery fired at them, or waiting for battle just so they can
be deposited back in the pressure cooker of survival. Lying in a foxhole sweating out an enemy
artillery or mortar barrage or waiting to dash across open ground under machine gun or artillery fire

The Chick-Fil-A Short Story
On October 8, 2016, Samantha Webb went on her first date. Her date for the evening was Calvin
Jones. She had turned 16 the previous July and hadn t been asked on a date since then. Calvin had
asked her to the school s Homecoming dance. For the day date, they started at Chick fil A. Sam was
worried because this was her first time eating Chick fil A. She soon learned that it was good and that
waffle fries were the bomb. The next part involved some tricky carpooling when she learned that her
sister s date didn t drive very well. She feared for her life. He also had to gas money from his grandpa.
After arriving to Rexburg almost a half an hour later than the rest of her group, she was going to play
laser tag! She loved laser tag and often likes to brag that she could dominate. However she would soon
learn that playing against her 9 and 10 year old brothers was nothing like playing with adrenaline
charged teenage boys. She was second to last and only because someone else s gun broke down half
way through the game. They played two games that day, she lost both. ... Show more content on

This took a while. It involved a few burns and being poked in the eye. Finally the boys came to get the

Dave Ramsey has been known to say (2011), What an organization spends money on is what they
value (p. 275). He also goes on to state that if you feel that your employees are a valuable part of the
company, you need to pay them as if they are (Ramsey, 2011, p. 275). When an employee feels
appreciated, they will have a longer, more productive career with the company. According to Ross
Blake (2006), it is estimated that it can cost a company anywhere from 50% to 150% of an employee s
annual salary to replace them. If an employee makes $40,000 annually, it is estimated that it will cost
$20,000 $60,000 to replace that employee. These amounts include recruiting, interviewing,
orientation, training and loss of expertise (Blake, 2006). So what methods can we use to retain our
valuable employees?
It is believed that compensation plans are a legitimate way to express appreciation in employee s
productivity and efforts and an excellent way to retain employment. Some of the main reasons to
institute a compensation plan are (Vivekanand, p.2): Ø Increased employee morale and motivation Ø
Improved employee performance Ø Increased employee productivity Ø Enhance employee efficiency
Ø Reduction in employee turnover Ø Increased company commitment
So what must one do to create a successful compensation and performance plan? There seem to be
four areas that need to be present no matter what plan you chose. One of the first steps

The Standards Of Iso Standards
1. Foreword
Over the last few decades, there has been an increase in companies following a set of recognised
standards to make sure quality standards are maintained across the board. There are different standards
relating to different aspects of running a business. Out of these standards, ISO 9000 series of standards
are recognised some of the best known standards1. There are 4 standards within the ISO 9000 series;
namely the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 9000:2008, ISO 9004:2009, ISO 19011:2011.1
This report will give an overview of the ISO 9001 series of standards which gives a guideline on the
requirements of a quality management system1 and will help this manufacturing company in its
Quality Assurance procedures.
Many organisations across the world claim that certain quality programs, such as the ISO 9001,
improve management practices whilst also improving workers safety and elimination of hazardous
practices5.
2. Origins of IS09000/ISO9001
The origins of ISO standards lie as far back as the 1940 s, where the competition between companies
was picking up. In today s competitive market, quality assurance has become one of the most
important aspects in determining which business is able to offer the best products.
ISO was established under the United Nations as an agency in 19472 3. At that time, membership was
small; however, it now exceeds membership from 160 countries3. Over the decades, ISO standards
have increased and cover most aspect of quality assurance in the world today.

Originalism Vs Living-Constitutionalism
Our country is founded on laws and to those laws we need to be held accountable. There are two
forms of judicial review that the laws we have and the laws we will have are decided on. Those two
forms of judicial review are originalism and living constitutionalism . Originalists believe, the
constant touchstones of constitutional law should be the purposes and values of those who had the
authority to make the Constitution not of those who are charged with governing under it and abiding
by it (Whittington, 2006, para. 4). While living constitutionalism looks to remove some of the power
from the words used in the Constitution and move that displaced power into the hands of our judicial
system. Michael Dorf stated, The act of ratification by the people who are long dead, and whose

The During The Second World War Essay
During the Second World War My grandfather had served in the United States Navy starting in 1944.
During his time in the war he was able to visit many islands that were once being occupied by the
Japanese and could see the remainders of their rule. He was able to see what had happened to the local
people who got caught in the middle of a war that they had no place in and how it affect all of them.
That is what I researched, how the Japanese treated the people that they occupied and what had
happened to the people during the Second World War. Before the start of the war many of the islands
in the pacific had been inhabited by native people, and during the Age of Imperialism many islands
had been taking over by European powers for their natural resources. These islands being just south of
Japan had gained their interest for both economic and strategic reasons and they began to take control
of them in the late 1800 s. Then throughout the war the Japanese had captured many islands during the
war and had moved some ways into China as well. The people who would be used as a labor force and
sometimes the women would become comfort women or sex slaves. It is shown that the way that the
Japanese treated the inhabitants was poor and towards the end of the war when the Americans came in
the Japanese would have the inhabitants actually commit suicide. Japan treated the inhabitants
horribly and some compare it to a Holocaust of their own with other numbers of war crimes. Even

Amadeus Research Paper
The film Amadeus has been added to my personal collection of favorite and most interesting films of
all time. The movie Amadeus won eight academy awards, and is considered one of the most popular
movies of that time. Before watching the movie, I thought it was going to be all about Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart but was shied away from that thought after it opened and closed with Antonio
Salieri. Antonio Salieri had a dream of becoming the best composer in Vienna as well as the world. He
worshiped God and wanted to make music with gods helping hand, then he met a man with such great
talent that he thought god had turned his back on him and shined his light on Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart.

Wolfgang s mother, Anna Maria Pertl, was born to a middle class family of local community leaders.
His only sister was Maria Anna with their father s encouragement and guidance, they both were
introduced to music at an early age. Mozart was an extremely talented child, who started to compose
music before the age of five years old. By the age of thirteen, Mozart started writing proof of his
genius with sonatas, concertos, symphonies, religious works and quite a few operas. In the year 1773
he wrote his first piano concerto.
The relationship between Mozart and Salieri wasn t as hate filled as the film was sought out to be. For
Salieri, another great composer at that time, it is easy for him to take the part as a musically jealous
antagonist for the film. The film showed that Salieri at the end of the film was considered crazy by
placing him in an insane asylum because of the claims he made about Mozart and his works. Salieri in
fact did not hate Mozart because of lack of proof, but for the movie it was fitting to show that he
envied Mozart, turned against him, and even tried to kill

Healthcare Costs Increase Creating A Barrier For Health...
Healthcare costs continued to rise creating a barrier for people to receive medical care in a fee for
service world. Advances in technology and an aging population requiring more care has driven up the
costs. In an effort to control this, managed care organizations were created to focus on efficiency, cost
control, and overall quality of care. MCOs channeled their insurances consumers towards physicians
that are within the contracted network and the over utilization of care began to ebb back, making
physicians the gatekeepers. Prescription management and preauthorization before care from an
insured s health plan also aided in the decrease. In the beginning of the twentieth century, healthcare
was available to the ones that could afford it. If you could buy it, it was yours but much of the
population lacked the funds to do so, as well as the knowledge to choose. Prepaid hospital plans and
clinics slowly started to appear. During the 1930s a person could attempt to negotiate their healthcare
prices with a physician since physicians could not advertise at that time. Not everyone received the
same service for the same price. Up until the 1960s, the United States had a physician shortage that
narrowed down choices that individuals had for their healthcare needs. Physicians that worked alone
were considered entrepreneurs and navigated the risks of profit or financial loss. Others that had fee
for service practices started to broaden their medical services, which in turn

Is Cannibalism Is Wrong
Now through the analysis of the scripture it is made clear that cannibalism is an abomination to God,
and that the ones who have part taken in this have been cursed. In other words, the Catholic Church
did follow the teachings of the Bible, and had a basis to expunge such practice. Another interpretation
one could get from the passage is that it is parallel to that of the indigenous people. Both the Israelites
and the indigenous people both had their temples and idols torn down and destroyed. Which biblically
shows that when people do commit the abomination of cannibalism then it is the right thing to do to
turn away from that sin and turn back to God.
However, this is not the only change the Roman Catholic Church made. Smith also said native deities
were replaced by Christian saints, (Smith, 1). This can easily be interpreted as instead of the
indigenous people worshiping their gods as they were already doing, the Church just shifted their
worship to the saints. Which biblically is still wrong, because this goes against the very first
commandment which reads, 6 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt,
from the house of bondage. 7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me. (Due. 5, 6 7). Although the
Catholic Church had the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Hitler and The Holocaust by Robert S. Wistrich
Hitler and the Holocaust is a very informational novel written by Robert S. Wistrich that not only
explains this horrible time in history, but also gives us a look into the mind of Hitler and Nazi
ideology. This book is not just centered on Hitler and Germany as it my sound, antisemitism spread
like a plague all across Europe even before the Holocaust took place. In this work, Wistrich is not
making an argument, but is trying to find an explanation on why so many inhumane actions were
allowed.
Robert S. Wistrich defined antisemitism as hostility and/or prejudice against the Jewish people or their
religion of Judaism. Many people in today s world instinctively associate antisemitism with Nazi
Germany because of the mass genocide that took place. Hostility towards the Jewish people dates
back thousands of years ago when the Roman Empire forced them away from their homeland that is
now known as Israel. With the Jewish population forced from their homes they began to spread out all
over the world and so did the prejudice against them. The Judaism religion was looked down upon in
many parts of the world and people felt like it was their duty to treat the Jewish people with inequality.
Antisemitism took a different turn when statesmen begin to use it in their campaign to gain the
citizens support.
Austrian born Adolf Hitler grew up in the midst of political antisemitism. Arrested for organizing a
coup over the German government, Hitler was sentenced to five years in

The Mysterious Zodiac Murders In California
The late 1960s when the first murder occurred it sent California into a panic. Fear gripped the public
as more murders started happening. Letters began to surface to the public by newspaper companies.
After decoding a letter the mystery murderer became known as the Zodiac. The mysterious Zodiac
made the public fear him by threatening the lives of numerous civilians. In Northern California the
self proclaimed Zodiac was connected to five murders from 1968 to 1969. Zodiac is also claimed to
have been responsible for more deaths. The first murder to be confirmed was of Seventeen year old
David Faraday and his girlfriend, sixteen year old Betty Lou Jensen, on December 20, 1968. They
were shot to death near the couple s car at an isolated place on Lake Herman Road, on the edge of
Vallejo, California (Internet 7). The next murder occurred on July 4, 1969 of Darlene Ferrin, twenty

Rock Springs Park, where they sat and talked. Shortly before midnight a random car pulled up next to

Making a Difference as an Educator Essay
Making a Difference as an Educator
I believe the purpose of an educator is to enhance minds and touch lives. I think it is wonderful that in
the country we live in today, that all children are not only given the opportunity for an education, but
are forced to take advantage of it. Almost every adult can look back at their school years and think of
at least one teacher that has touched their lives in one or more ways. I hope that as an educator that I
will have made a difference in many lives and be their motivation to reach their highest goals.

After I successfully complete the teacher education program at Concord University, I plan to take my

Faust By Goethe Research Paper
Faust Romanticism is the belief that poetry is an imitation of life and that feelings and emotion were
more reliable than a scientific thought. During the Romanticism, society in this period focused a lot on
nature and imagination because romanticism had and has no definable standards. The Romantic Period
also had a big interest in finding the truth in everything, especially in unique individuals. Due to the
way they saw the world they valued every individual thing, and the size or color had no matter to

Conflict resolution in the workplace
Conflict resolution in the workplace Introduction Conflict is a fact in any relationship including the
work area. Still, it is important to emphasize that some conflicts should not be seen as good or bad,
they are just differences. Many times when there are disagreements between players these issues are
left on the table without giving much emphasis. Unfortunately some of these conflicts have reached a
level that ends in a physical altercation. When things get out of proportion, the sports psychologist is
called in to intervene as a third party to mediate the situation. This process can take weeks. This paper
attempts to raise awareness to owners of The Sluggers baseball team, their coordinators, managers and
coaches, and provide them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now, I stress the fact that these conflicts can happen between teammates, managers to players and
vice versa, or between managers and coaches. Unsolved, or unsatisfactorily resolved conflicts
perceived by one or all parties in the situation can lead to worse consequences, (Jehn, Rupert, Nauta,
2006).
Conflicts do not always come to light immediately because parties will intent to use mechanisms to
deal or solve them. These mechanisms are not always the most appropriate. A manager o coach that
becomes aware of something going wrong with their team should pay attention and try to solve it
before it escalates to another level, (Fisher Santana Gonzalez, (2013). Addressing a conflict as soon as
possible does not mean to be made lightly or quickly. Individuals serving as mediators must be
impartial, show true interest between the parties, and above all be prepared in the area of conflict
resolution. A mediator should never favor any party, (Montgomery, 1995). Studies related to the
perception of asymmetry (inequity or favoritism) in the process of settlement of conflict demonstrate
that this can lead to absenteeism, lack of motivation and job dissatisfaction after the resolution, (Jehn
et al., 2006).

Mexican Culture Essay
Mexico is a very diverse and multicultural country. Over 60 indigenous groups exist, some of them
maintain their own language. Indigenous people mane up 10 30% on the population today. Over 60%
of the population is mestizo, and about 9% are from European descent. As a result of the Spanish
conquest a lot of things change, religion is a very good example. As a result of the conquest Mexico is
a predominantly catholic country.
Another example are traditions, like folklore, which is a traditional dance. Also Mexico has adapted
traditions from other countries like halloween whis is a tradition from United States. Mexico has kept
its traditions and adapted new ones from other countries, that is also why it has made a diverse
country, by having the exchange of things we enrich our country. The indigenous cultures ... Show

Since the Spanish conquest, Spaniards brought different ingredients and recipes to our country. Pork
was brought into Mexico, cows, donkeys, oatmeal, olives, onions, apples, grapes etc. Thanks to this

modern days, some of the ingredients that were brought, are now being cultivated and grown in
mexico. Not only Spaniards changed mexican cuisine, but also more countries like Arab since they
were the inspiration for one of the most famous dishes in Mexico tacos de trompo .
Mexico s clothing is another example. When the Spanish arrived, one of the first thing they did was to
put clothes in men and force them to wear pants and a shirt. Aldo silks and wools were starting to get
very popular. One of the most emblematic women dress is the china poblana which was made by a

As Job explained to one of his fellow church leaders, with age come wisdom. In the novel, All Quiet On the Western Front, Erich Maria Remarque develops the underlying theme of ith age comes Wisdom. With the use of the main character, Paul, Remarque how as the older you get, the wiser you get. To begin the development of the theme, Remarque shows Paul in his twenties.Paul explains that since he is young ... the influence of parents [was] at its weakest and girl [had] not yet [had] a holdover [him]. Besides this there [were] little else some enthusiasm, a few hobbies, and [their] school. Beyond this [his] life did not extent (Page 20). As a young recruit, Paul did not have a good amount of ... Paul lets him be and ...[sticks his helmet] on his behind not for a jest, but out of consideration, since that [was] his highest part (Page 61). Since Paul has been in the army longer that the recruit, he knows how to adapt to the situation. Also, Remarque uses this passage to contrast the youth and old age. Youth is represented by the recruit who does not know how to survive in the war; he hid under Paul and relies on Paul to protect him. Then in contrast, old age is represented by Paul. Paul not only understand how to survive, he also knows how to adapt to the situation which is shown by when he puts the helmet on the recruit s behind. • 4. Inadequate Voter Registration 3. Inadequate Voter Registration 3.1 Multiple Registration Multiple Registration is a huge challenge for holding a free and fair presidential election in Afghanistan. Voter registration process in Afghanistan is different as compared to rest of the world. According to the electoral law of Afghanistan, for presidential elections, the entire country is a single electoral constituency (Ministry of Justice, 2016, p.29). This means that a voter can register himself and vote in any voting station across the country. Therefore, voter s lists do not exist in the voting stations, and the required documents are election cards that open entrance for voters to vote. According to ICG, 10.6 million Afghans were registered within Afghanistan and 740,000 special election cards were distributed to Afghan refugees in Pakistan in 2004(ICG, 2009, p. 15). Later, in 2005, through a registration process, 1.7 million more elections cards added to the previously available voter cards. Similarly, in 2009, 4.4 million new voter cards were issued for those who supposedly were not registered before. With these new voter cards, a number of election cards in circulations reached 17 million. However, the eligible voters in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Poor security had its effects over registration process. In consonance with the rapid assessment review of the USAID (2014), upon reflecting over the extent of the existential threats, the IEC followed the recommendation from the Ministry of Interior to close more than 10 percent of 7,000 polling centers before the 2014 presidential election day (p. ... • 5. Facebook And Social Networking Sites Essay New media has been easily made available everywhere and Facebook in particular as one of the world most popular social networking site (SNS) can be made accessible from desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablet because of this, almost everybody can have access to Facebook anywhere they go. For the most reason, due to the introduction of new media, Facebook plays a key role communication and staying in touch with families, friends, acquaintances, businesses, groups meetings and a whole lot of others. Kim Jong Un looks like an innocent man but behind closed doors, that is where he is most dangerous. He can be planning and preparing an attack that nobody even know. Topic Sentence: The Cuban missile was a crazy time. It happened some fifty years ago when John F. Kennedy was president. It was when one of U.S. spy plane caught Soviet Union trying to sneak some nuclear missiles into Cuba that was ninety miles off the United States coast. Soon enough president Kennedy had to talk to one of their leaders about what are they doing with the missiles and if they do not remove it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Topic Sentence: the other reason to why not all nations have access to nuclear weapons, is because there are some countries that we know a little or not at all about what they are doing with the nuclear weapons. Like in Iran, we do not know if they are making more nuclear weapons or using it for medical purposes. Iran sixth president Mahmound Ahmadinejad, said that his country has been a member of International Atomic Energy Agency for over thirty three years now. Ahmadinejad said that the by law all agency guarantees him to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes only, but everybody knows that nuclear energy can be used the wrong way also. For what it seems, there are possibilities that there are ways to make nuclear energy into bombs or just weapons of mass destruction. Evidence: This is why we should worry about Iran s missiles. Just last fall Washington and European capital been involved in a long time bout with Iran nuclear diplomacy. In Washington, they hope that there hopes will run high and the effort will help the threat posed by Tehran s atomic ambitions. The diplomatic deal is not only to limit Iran s capability to build nuclear weapons but to also deliver to them. Its seat is in the heart, and it must be an inseparable part of our being . The book The Essential Gandhi expresses Gandhi s views on issues like untouchability, religion, nationality, his movements like civil disobedience are deeply shown in this book. Readers can learn about Gandhi s childhood, his early married life, his realization and transition in South Africa, and his ways of approach towards attaining Independence in India. The book did a fantastic job in showing the Gandhi s principles like non violence with exemplary contexts. The researcher understood the specific theme chosen and was a bit au fait with the topic, because she had a keen interest in Gandhi and all his work. In an age where violence is on the increase Gandhi s message of non violence is needed. It is the researchers hope that this IA will reach a wide cross section of people and will effect a change. Gandhi s views on issues like untouchability are deeply dealt with. Never anywhere Gandhi s views about untouchability were effectively heard. But, in this book they were dealt in detail with lots of arguments and convincing proofs of why untouchability is sin. Even his co living with the untouchables and the resistance he faced for that is discussed. His views on religion, nationality, his movements like civil disobedience, are also clearly shown. • 9. Essay on Macbeth and the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 Macbeth and the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 Shakespeare s Macbeth was influenced by the gunpowder plot of 1605. The equivocation that was inspired by this event played an important role in the play. The general theme of Macbeth reflects the mood of society at the time that it was written. This relationship is a direct reflection of the mimetic theory. This paper will examine the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 and the role of equivocation in the subsequent prosecutions during the time that Shakespeare was writing Macbeth, and show how Macbeth was influenced by the event. On the night of November 4, 1605, an important discovery was made in London: thirty six barrels of highly explosive gunpowder, ready to blow a hole in the earth, were ... Under the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1558 to 1603), the Church of England that was created by King Henry VIII (who reigned from 1509 1547) was the only tolerated religion in England. The Church of England held that the British Monarchy, rather than the Pope, was the leader of the church. The Catholic religion was forced underground. Guy Fawkes was born a protestant but was surrounded by Catholics as he was growing up. He converted to Catholicism shortly before enlisting as a mercenary in the Spanish army in the Netherlands in 1593. There he was free to practice the Catholic Faith. By the time he was 21 Guy had sold his inheritance and had joined the Catholic forces fighting in the Low Countries. For twelve years he served as a military man in the Netherlands. He was trained as a miner, skilled with gunpowder and in the arts of tunneling.2 The prohibition of Catholicism and the persecution of all who practiced the faith led to a conspiracy to liberate Catholicism in England. When Guy Fawkes returned to England in May, 1604 he met with fellow conspirators. • 10. Joseph Stalin s Ignorance On the death of Vladimir Lenin in 1924, competition emerged between leading Bolsheviks Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin to succeed as Soviet leader. There were several reasons why Stalin, rather than Trotsky, succeeded Lenin such as Trotsky s ignorance; Stalin s cunning; Trotsky s arrogance; Stalin s ever increasing influence and Trotsky s relaxed attitude. In this essay I will be exploring the contribution of Stalin s cunning, and both Trotsky s arrogance and ignorance that resulted in Stalin s succession and Trotsky s fall from grace. Despite starting his political journey as a supporter of the Menshevik wing (peaceful communism), Leon Trotsky became one of the paramount powers of the Bolshevik party, leading their Red Army to victory during the Russian civil war of 1918 to 1921; so ... In her book, Stalin: Man of Steel (1968), Elizabeth Roberts states that there was little doubt about the Red Army s support of Trotsky, should he try to seize power. However, he failed to use his popularity with the Red Army to his advantage because he did not recognise the threat of Stalin and the possible future need he could have had for them. It also appears that Trotsky did not realise his removal from his position of Head of the Army by Stalin s suggestion was part of the latter s plan to clinch power and Robert s report states that Trotsky made no protest in regards to his new post of being in charge of the electrification of ... The word Tungsten is used in the United States, but Wolfram is still used in some European countries. Tungsten comes from the Swedish language which means heavy stone . Tungsten is a very strong, shiny, gray white metal that makes up just a tiny fraction of the earth s crust and is always combined with other elements as compounds. Every tungsten atom has 74 positively charged protons in the nucleus which means it also has 74 negatively charged electrons revolving around the nucleus. An interesting fact is that wolframite and scheelite are the only two important sources of the metal. Wolframite contains varying amounts of iron tungstate and manganese tungstate. Another important tungsten mineral is scheelite, which varies in color from white to green. The leading producers of tungsten are China, with 37,000 tons, Russia, with 3,600 tons and Austria, with 1,700 tons. Another interesting fact is that more than half of the world s supply of tungsten comes from mines in the Nah Ling Mountains of Jianxi, Henan and Quangdong provinces of China. The method to extract tungsten ore is generally a compromise between safety and cost. One way to mine it is using the room and pillar method, which is cutting rooms in tungsten, and leaving a series of columns called pillars . However other mines use the bulk mining method of slashing out the ore . This involves drilling into the face of the tungsten deposit to carve out large chunks of the ore. Around 30% of tungsten comes from scrap and waste metal. Tungsten its self is not a major pollutant, but scrap and waste tungsten may contain other metals that are harmful to the environment. • 14. You Know When The Men Are Gone By Siobhan Fallon Siobhan Fallon, has a Master of Fine Art from the New School in New York City in addition to being a military spouse, is the author of You Know When the Men Are Gone a short story collection book. In the short story You Survived the War Now Survive the Homecoming Fallon writes a gripping and enticing story about Carla and her beloved husband, Ted, who returns from war as a changed man. Carla is struggling with Ted because he is easily enraged and poses as a threat to Carla and their seven month year old child. Throughout the story Ted and Carla must work together to bridge the change that war brought upon them. In 2011 You Know When the Men Are Gone was published, during this time, the war in Iraq was coming to end and soldiers were returning home from deployment. Fallon s primary audience consisted of American civilians unaffiliated with a military family or lifestyle. Therefore the audience may be aware of the life of a military spouse but not entirely informed on the effects war has on a family. This audience shares similar values on family, for example how important honesty and patience is within families. Although returning home is the most exuberant time for a soldier longing for their family, Fallon s use of third person perspective in the short story You Survived the War Now Survive the Homecoming exemplifies the reality of Carla, the wife, dealing with the hardships of a returning soldier because adjusting back to normal civilian lifestyle seems unfeasible. ... • 16. The Role Of Lady Capulet In Romeo And Juliet In William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, Lady Capulet and the Nurse are responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because Lady Capulet is pragmatic and the Nurse is irresponsible. Lady Capulet s traditional views on love and forcing her daughter to marry Paris are two examples in which Lady Capulet shows us that being pragmatic was the cause for the lover s deaths. Compared to Juliet, Lady Capulet is very pragmatic when its comes to views on the meaning and ideas of love. Her opinion is that the tradition of arranged marriages is correct, as in that marriage should be arranged by your parents and you should do what you are told. Lady Capulet instructs Juliet to seek out her future husband at the party and asks her, What say you? Can you love the gentleman? This night you shall behold him at our feast (1.3.85 100). Lady Capulet, who married at a young age, offers complete support for her husband s plan for their daughter, and puts pressure on Juliet to think about Paris as a husband even before Juliet has begun to think about marriage at all. Considering the fact that a marriage to Paris would bring increasing social status and wealth for the Capulets, it s reasonable to say that Lady Capulet was thinking about this situation pragmatically. Assuming that Lady Capulet is still quite young herself, she should be able to remember her feelings of being forced into an arranged marriage and use them to persuade Juliet in a different approach. If Lady Capulet had put less pressure on Juliet to marry Paris or consider the fact that she might not even want to marry for social status or wealth, Juliet s death might not have taken place in the way it did. When Juliet rebels against the planned marriage with Paris, she s rebelling against her mother s way of life, and against the kind of marriage that Lady Capulet learned to suffer through. After Juliet refuses to marry Paris as her parents wish, Lady Capulet comes in and responds, Talk not to me, for I ll not say a word Do as thou wilt, for I have done with thee (3.5.15). These words express how Lady Capulet is an irresponsible mother. She declares that she is done with this entire situation showing that she s ineffectual. There is a major change from the ... Treaties, regulations and directives make up the European Union (EU) law. They have a direct effect which means that they are directly implemented in United Kingdom(UK) law. However, a Directive is binding to the result to be achieved, upon each member state to which it is addressed, but shall leave to the national authorities the choice of form and methods . Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The charter was still carrying out its main role of reaffirming rights, but the UK did not allow it to go beyond this power. Leaving the EU would mean that the charter would no longer apply in the UK, as a result a lot of our rights such as environmental protection, data protection etc would be lost. Also, EU regulations and any future or unimplemented legislation cannot be relied upon in UK courts. Therefore, any future improvements of fundamental rights protection will cease to apply in the UK As the UK has now left the EU the most important question is what will happen to our rights. There is great uncertainty about this as it depends upon what path the UK takes and what sort of contact it maintains with the EU. For example, if it joins the European Economic Area (EEA) then the EU fundamental rights law will still apply, this is because the European Free Trade Association has held that the provisions of the EEA agreement are to be interpreted in the light of EU law. Additionally, the remedies available under the EU law are wider than those under the HRA 1998 because of the supremacy principle. The UK will have civil and political rights, but it will lose a wide range of rights and there will be less remedial options for violations. The Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex ... Advances in technology and an aging population requiring more care has driven up the costs. In an effort to control this, managed care organizations were created to focus on efficiency, cost control, and overall quality of care. MCOs channeled their insurances consumers towards physicians that are within the contracted network and the over utilization of care began to ebb back, making physicians the gatekeepers. Prescription management and preauthorization before care from an insured s health plan also aided in the decrease. In the beginning of the twentieth century, healthcare was available to the ones that could afford it. If you could buy it, it was yours but much of the population lacked the funds to do so, as well as the knowledge to choose. Prepaid hospital plans and clinics slowly started to appear. During the 1930s a person could attempt to negotiate their healthcare prices with a physician since physicians could not advertise at that time. Not everyone received the same service for the same price. Up until the 1960s, the United States had a physician shortage that narrowed down choices that individuals had for their healthcare needs. In other words, the Catholic Church did follow the teachings of the Bible, and had a basis to expunge such practice. Another interpretation one could get from the passage is that it is parallel to that of the indigenous people. Both the Israelites and the indigenous people both had their temples and idols torn down and destroyed. Which biblically shows that when people do commit the abomination of cannibalism then it is the right thing to do to turn away from that sin and turn back to God. However, this is not the only change the Roman Catholic Church made. Smith also said native deities were replaced by Christian saints, (Smith, 1). This can easily be interpreted as instead of the indigenous people worshiping their gods as they were already doing, the Church just shifted their worship to the saints. Which biblically is still wrong, because this goes against the very first commandment which reads, 6 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Wistrich that not only explains this horrible time in history, but also gives us a look into the mind of Hitler and Nazi ideology. This book is not just centered on Hitler and Germany as it my sound, antisemitism spread like a plague all across Europe even before the Holocaust took place. In this work, Wistrich is not making an argument, but is trying to find an explanation on why so many inhumane actions were allowed. Robert S. Wistrich defined antisemitism as hostility and/or prejudice against the Jewish people or their religion of Judaism. Many people in today s world instinctively associate antisemitism with Nazi Germany because of the mass genocide that took place. Hostility towards the Jewish people dates back thousands of years ago when the Roman Empire forced them away from their homeland that is now known as Israel. With the Jewish population forced from their homes they began to spread out all over the world and so did the prejudice against them. The Judaism religion was looked down upon in many parts of the world and people felt like it was their duty to treat the Jewish people with inequality. I think it is wonderful that in the country we live in today, that all children are not only given the opportunity for an education, but are forced to take advantage of it. Almost every adult can look back at their school years and think of at least one teacher that has touched their lives in one or more ways. I hope that as an educator that I will have made a difference in many lives and be their motivation to reach their highest goals. I can not wait to become a teacher. I love to work with children and I love to see them enjoying themselves. I want to become a teacher so I can be given the chance to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After I successfully complete the teacher education program at Concord University, I plan to take my education farther. I plan to attend Marshall University and get my master s degree. If I am this far in my education, I believe that it would be in my best interest to go ahead and go all the way while I am still young and in the habit of studying and going to school. I plan to attend Marshall University because I have already attended school there before, and I believe they have a lot to offer there. I want to go there so that I can learn from new teachers that I have not had in class before, and expand my horizons. After I receive my master s degree, I plan to teach school for a few years. I would prefer to teach kindergarten or first grade, but I will take whatever is available in the area I am living in, being a young and inexperienced educator. • 35. Faust By Goethe Research Paper Faust Romanticism is the belief that poetry is an imitation of life and that feelings and emotion were more reliable than a scientific thought. Still, it is important to emphasize that some conflicts should not be seen as good or bad, they are just differences. Many times when there are disagreements between players these issues are left on the table without giving much emphasis. Unfortunately some of these conflicts have reached a level that ends in a physical altercation. Now, I stress the fact that these conflicts can happen between teammates, managers to players and vice versa, or between managers and coaches. Unsolved, or unsatisfactorily resolved conflicts perceived by one or all parties in the situation can lead to worse consequences, (Jehn, Rupert, Nauta, 2006). Conflicts do not always come to light immediately because parties will intent to use mechanisms to deal or solve them. These mechanisms are not always the most appropriate. A manager o coach that becomes aware of something going wrong with their team should pay attention and try to solve it before it escalates to another level, (Fisher Santana Gonzalez, (2013). Addressing a conflict as soon as possible does not mean to be made lightly or quickly. Individuals serving as mediators must be impartial, show true interest between the parties, and above all be prepared in the area of conflict resolution. A mediator should never favor any party, (Montgomery, 1995). Studies related to the perception of asymmetry (inequity or favoritism) in the process of settlement of conflict demonstrate that this can lead to absenteeism, lack of motivation and job dissatisfaction after the resolution, (Jehn et al., 2006). ...
