Was Madoff Able To Conceal His Fraud
There are many peculiarities in Madoff s world that contributed towards making his mind s outcomes
so very suspicious. The answer to how Madoff was still able to conceal his fraud can be explainable
through his techniques, methods, and darkly hidden tricks that he has been demonstrating throughout
his long period of wrongful criminal deception. To begin, the operations that are being undertaken on
the seventieth floor are considered the center of Madoff s world. Specifically, the information

Analysis Of Paulo Freire s The Banking Theory Concept...
In the essay The Banking Concept of Education, Paulo Freire creates the argument that teachers
simply deposit knowledge into students and the students then only store the deposits, without having
any input of their own. He says that the student records, memorizes, and repeats these phrases without
perceiving what four times four really means.... (318).
The teacher teaches and the students are taught; the teacher chooses and enforces his choice, and the
students comply; the teacher chooses the program content, and the students (who were not consulted)
adapt to it. Those are only some of the points made by Freire in the banking theory. Although Freire is
talking about education, this theory can also be applied to modern day advertisement. Companies
plaster advertisements anywhere they can, from billboards to television screens, telling viewers what
they need to look like, act like, be like, and talk like, while the viewers simply take in that information
and conform to it.
In this Sisley advertisement, two models are snorting what would be expected to be cocaine, but
instead it is a white dress. The words Fashion Junkie are printed underneath the brand name. The
bright white of the dress creates a contrast with the pitch black background, creating an atmosphere of
darkness. Additionally, both models are caked with heavy eye makeup, and the model on the right has
her eyes rolled back giving the appearance of being high. This Sisley advertisement uses Freire s

Clayton County Population Health Case Study
Among all the factors that are attributed to population health, the environment is perhaps the greatest.
It is common knowledge in public health that if the physical environment is unhealthy, so is the
population that live there. Even though the many of the environmental issues are being addressed by
the State and County authorities, Clayton County is experiencing a slow rate of change. While the air
pollution particulate matter is declining, it is currently at 13.2, which is higher than the national
average of 9.5, and the 12.8 for the state s average.2 In addition, this county has drinking water
violations and severe housing problems. As a result of these and other environmental issues, Clayton
County ended up with a county ranking of 159 out of 159.1 This is not a good thing for the population
of Clayton County. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As with the environment, this health factor is also a great indicator of the health status of a population,
because if babies are not being born or are dying prematurely, this can have long term economic
consequences and population decline. Therefore, it is paramount that much efforts are put into
lowering infant mortality rates According to State of Health Report, Clayton County ranked high in
infant mortality in the State of Georgia. In addition, it ranked highly in premature births and low birth
weight. The most current data show the infant mortality rate to be 9.2, premature birth at 11.0 percent,
and low birth weight at 10.4 percent among all ages and races.6 These disparities are much greater
among the various age group and race. Because the issue of maternal and child health is such a major
factor in the overall health of the population of Clayton County, the focus will be centered on the
issues of infant mortality and the magnitude of the problem confronting the population of this

Nonverbal Communication And Non Verbal Communication
Non verbal communication is especially significant in intercultural situations (Businesscom, 2015). In
a business setting duties performed are the main reasons for an employees success, though studies and
reports show that nonverbal communications can hinder or excel an employees relationships.
Ultimately, nonverbal communications can benefit a business. With the communication of nonverbal
there are many forms that help to read body language and true feelings including: adapters, a body
movement, as well as eye contact (Krauss, Chen, Chawla, 1996). These examples are just a few of
several hundreds non verbal communications (Hawk, Fischer, Van Kleef, 2012; Snider, 2012). Not
only does nonverbal communication play a role in communication, but also it plays a role at a
staggering greater than 50%, and some studies higher percentage, of the total message (Vintean,
2007). Visual clues also play a large role in nonverbal communication. Nonverbal communication has
been a long time institute and is rooted from primal instincts (Hecht Ambady, 1999). To prove the
positive role that nonverbal communication plays in business the following writing will show various
nonverbal and how they work.
Nonverbal communication is truly important as it truly completes the message delivered from the
verbal communication (Businesscom, 2015). The message is delivered through various ways, as stated
before. Nonverbal communication accents the message that is delivered as tone can formulate the

The Story Of Camelot Castle
Little did Mithian know that joining a flurry of Councillors rushing towards the Great Court would be
a terrible idea. But, with the fresh air having brought a healthy glow to her cheeks, and her hair
slightly ruffled from a spirited walk around archways, fields and Courtyard, everything seemed
interesting.
She had soon learned that Camelot Castle was the kind of place where you could find everything by
following the crowd. Over a week into her stay, and the chatter still lifted her heart. What was going
on? Another Knighting ceremony, or other celebration?
Rather than heading towards the Court used when she arrived in Camelot, tearfully luring Arthur to his
death, the crowd swerved to the right and down several more corridors until they reached two great
oak doors. The guards opened them and Mithian gasped in delight. Rather than the lower arched
ceiling she remembered, this ceiling stretched forever into the sky, its windows sparkled with sunlight,
making each pane look like a sheet of diamonds and at the far end, she saw two Thrones adorned with
intricate decorations. The King and Queen were already seated, discussing something in low voices.
Pausing, Mithian studied them with a strange feeling in her stomach of either envy nor admiration.
And then shaking her head, she went to find a good place to stand as the seats had already been taken
by Knights and Councillors. An aisle separated the two crowds and and several men, including a Lord

Racial Profiling
Introduction:
Racial profiling is the use of an individual s race or ethnicity as a key factor in deciding if the person
should enforce such things on the other person. The act of racial profiling is a type of discrimination.
Discrimination is an act of injustice and prejudicial treatment of different types of people, depending
on their age, sex, race or religion
Racial discrimination occurs every day in the United States, in cities and towns across the country.
Racial profiling is illegal, violating the U.S. Constitution s promises of equal protection under the law

In the exposition of Warriors Don t Cry we are introduced to the nine students from Central High

she was a target for the white segregationists, and she went through horrifying situations. The rising
action is when Melba and the eight other students finally make it into Central, and they start their

Mid term Examination: Enlightenment
Enlightenment was a European intellectual movement that happened in the eighteenth century. Before
the enlightenment, medicine, technology, and people s ideas were restricted due to religion. A group of
writers and scholars wanted to use rational thinking to challenge the unknown religious questions. But
instead of just questioning religion, Enlightenment became something big and better. It changed the
way people thought of government/politics, religion, society classes, and even what the most
important qualities of being a human being were.

The world is a vampire sent to drain.
Earle s second major concept of her book is the relentless greed of the human race. Through pollution,
ignorance, and pillaging of all resources, the human race has become that of a vampire species,
feeding off of the seductive lure of power, money, and claim that our planet s oceans bring. A
particular lipstick wearing, wolf hunting politician made a statement that is becoming unanimous with
most of America today Drill baby, drill. For the unknowing, that is Sarah Palin, a woman who agrees
with offshore, and in some cases, onshore drilling. The topic of oil is sensitive. Do you drill in former
wildlife and marine reserves to avoid wars with your supplying companies? Most of America, even
the left minded Barak Obama was nodding to the idea of on and offshore drilling in the United States
backyard. The steadily rising price of fuel and oil are making more Americans nod yes, than ever
before. Earle is shaking her head no. largely because the action occurs underwater, out of the public
view, little attention has focused on what actually happens on the ocean floor where drilling takes
place, or what creatures are displaced by the thousands of miles of pipeline laced across the bottom...

However, if this were true all Monica had to do was make the University aware of Harold s presence.
Had Monica done this, Harold would have been removed from the room. She would not have been
forced to clean his messes and her injury would not have happened. By not informing the University
Monica silently acquiesced to Harold moving in and became a harborer of Harold. It is also likely that
her care and desired control over Harold is enough to establish her as Harold s keeper, while Rachel

Malek, the plaintiff and defendant were neighbors. Pulley v. Malek, 495 N.E.2d 402 (Ohio 1986). The
defendant s dog was hit by a car and unable to move on its own. Id. at 403. The defendant then called
the plaintiff asking for a veterinarian s phone number. Id. Plaintiff gave the number and came outside
asking if he could help. Id. Plaintiff then picked up the dog and carried it into the defendant s house,
even though the defendant refused assistance. Id. Inside the defendant s house, plaintiff again picked
up the dog attempting to place it into the defendant s car and the dog bit the plaintiff. Id. Ohio Court of
Appeals, stated that there was no evidence of the plaintiff maliciously provoking the dog. Id.
However, no part of the R.C. 955.28(b) requires evidence of malicious provocation, to establish the
plaintiff s conduct as tormenting. Id. at 404. Most Ohio courts define tormenting as conduct involving
greater annoyance, usually resulting in physical pain. Id. at 405. The Supreme Court of Ohio applied
this definition to the facts in Pulley, and concluded that a reasonable jury would find the picking up of
the injured dog, sufficient for tormenting. Id.
In our case, the plaintiff was more aggressive toward the dog by striking it with her shoe. In Pulley v.
Malek, the plaintiff was attempting to assist the dog and ended up accidentally harming the dog by
picking it up. 495 N.E.2d 402 (Ohio 1986). In both cases, the dogs received physical pain as a result
of the plaintiff s conduct. Applying the same definition of tormenting used by The Supreme Court of
Ohio in Pulley, to our case, it is likely that Monica s conduct will constitute as tormenting, if not
abuse.

Gatsby is another successful scene. In The Great Gatsby the mise en scene is used to show off the
romance and magnificence of Jay Gatsby it is used to describe his personality and economic status. In
Romeo and Juliet the success comes from the symbolism of the water and the use of camera position.

Gattegno And The Silent Way
Caleb Gattegno (1911 1988), one of the most prominent and productive educators of the twentieth
century, is best known for his innovative approaches to teaching and learning foreign languages (The
Silent Way). In 1972, Caleb Gattegno introduced The Silent Way, that is, a language teaching method
whose basic concept is that the teacher should remain silent much of the time, thus its name while the
students speak as much as possible. In the same way, Gattegno was under the impression that the
teacher should focus on the way students learn more often rather than how to teach. In fact, he
expressed support for language learning by problem solving, creative, discovering activity and all that,
which is directly opposed to drills such as seen in audiolingualism. He, on the other hand, contends
that students could naturally earn a new language like a child, through perception, awareness,
creativity, and other mental processes. Besides being critical of linguistic theory, he devoted his
thinking to a pedagogical perspective called the subordination of teaching to learning in that learners
demands are placed at the center of teaching, so teaching is subordinate or dependent to learning.
Gattegno holds that understanding the spirit of a language that ... Show more content on

Comparing Dunkin And Costa s Marketing Strategies
As coffeehouses and restaurants, Dunkin and Costa s marketing channels share the same resemblance
in how they want to approach the customers. The two companies now offer franchise option to
potential business partners, both domestic and international. Moreover, each brand adopt different

America are considering implementing nursing ratio laws. This ratio law wouldrequire hospitals to

medication errors and nosocomial infections (MacPhee, M., et al, 2006). Improved RN topatient ratios

bleeding, and other adverse outcomes in acute care settings. Recentresearch indicates that the cost of
the RN to patient ratio law is considerably lower than the costof basic safety interventions commonly
used in hospitals such as PAP tests for cervical cancerand clot busting medications to treat stroke and

The Hypocrisy of Imperialism and the Integrity of the Imperialist Powers.
One must ask these questions: Is Joseph Conrad s short novel, Heart Of Darkness, a result of an

often seems to be an underlying message. It is often heard that sex sells. So, many advertisers will use
beautiful women and men in their advertisements to try to market a product. The hope is that sex will
sell, and people will go out and buy what the ads are selling. There are many advertisements and
commercials that use this approach. Prime examples of this are the advertisements for Orbit Gum and
A Diamond is Forever. Also, the commercials for Levi jeans use sex to promote the sale of their brand.

If the main point is really about engagement rings, shouldn t the ring be seen on her finger? Since
there is no ring shown, it is implied that buying this ring will make your relationship more sensual. It
makes a man think that his girlfriend will love him even more for buying her that ring. For a woman,
it means that her boyfriend truly and deeply loves her. It tries to play on people s love for each other.
Sex as Symbol in Fashion Advertising points out that the creators of any advertisement are trying to
generate some kind of an effect or emotional response (184). This ad does exactly that. It plays on a
couple s emotions.
Likewise, the advertisers for Orbit Gum use a common situation involving a man and a woman to sell
their product. The ad pictures a side view of a construction worker s face, with his mouth open,
looking at a woman. However, the only parts of the woman that are seen are her legs and feet. The ad
draws attention to the fact that the man is only looking at one part of the woman s body. The ad reads,
Dirty mouth? Clean it up with Orbit. It is implied that since the man is looking at just the woman s
legs, he is thinking of something sexual, possibly even saying it out loud. Therefore, he is being dirty,
and the only way to become clean is to chew some Orbit gum. In this ad, the woman is seen as a sex
object. As Jean Kilbourne points out,

How African Americans Shaped America
African Americans blood run threw America veins, and all their hard work and sweat shaped America.
How African Americans shape America is the topic I enjoyed the most in African American literature
It first started when blacks can through the middle passage, civil rights, and reconstruction period.
African Americans had a significant impact in America history, and with all their hard work they
shaped America as it is today. The first subject that I would like to talk about is the Middle Passage. In
1619 Europeans start bringing africans was separated from their families and friends. They were
stripped naked and put on a boat, where they would be chain to people who would die days into the
trip. Some mothers would kill their kids and themselves,

Compare And Contrast Romeo And Juliet And The Capulets
Most of everyone knows the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. If you have ever read it
then you know how it ends, or if you have ever heard about it you know how it ends. What I want to
know is why? Why the two forbidden star crossed lovers took their own lives, but there is no answer
for that. There is also no answer as to why the two families, The Montagues and The Capulets could
not get along. It took the tragedy that had occurred for them to become civil with each other. In my
essay I will be discussing how the two star crossed lovers got along with their parents and if they were
rebellious in the modern sense. Along with how their parents felt about them.
If you have read the play, then you already know that Romeo s parents ... Show more content on

Lady Capulet, (Juliet s mother) tries to keep Juliet out of trouble and tabs on her. Capulet (Juliet s
father) would do the same. He did do the same. For Juliet keeping from her parents that her and
Romeo are together, she could get killed. Her parents could have killed her. Her father and mother
would have the right to do that because she lied to them and it s like a disgrace to the family. But don t
get me wrong, the Capulets loved Juliet very much and care about her a lot too. A part in the play
where it shows how much they care for her is Scene 5, act 3. Lady Capulet comforts Juliet after she
found out about Tybalt s death. She says, Evermore weeping for your cousin s death? What, wilt thou
wash him from his grave with tears? An if thou couldst, thou couldst not make him live. Therefore
have done. Some grief shows still and some want of wilt. Juliet responded with, Yet let me weep for
such a feeling loss. Lady Capulet said, So shall you feel the loss, but not the friend which you weep
for. To me Lady Capulet was comforting Juliet by saying it s okay to cry a little to show love, but not a
lot, that shows a lack of good sense. A place where Capulet says something to Juliet about caring is
Scene 2, act 1. Capulet says, But saying o er what I have said before; my child is yet a stranger in the
world, she hath not seen the change of fourteen; let two more summers with her in their pride ere we
may think her ripe to be a bride. Even though it s about her wedding, (like everything her father says
is) he says he wants her to mature before she gets married and that s a good thing. He cares and wants
her to understand even though she doesn t. But her parents, they care about her and love her. Yes, she

How Does Borges Create A Labyrinth
Once again, the reader witness Borges infamous idea of the labyrinth portrayed through a unique
parallel with a game of chess, intertwined with historical essences, and also intertwined with the
metaphysical, bringing into question the notion of ontology.
Influenced by historical context, Borges story unravels a midst Nazi Germany with the Nazi
occupation of Prague on March 15, 1939. The Secret Miracle opens with the idea of a labyrinth almost
immediately. In relation to many of his other works and in pastiche to other works by authors like
Cervantes, a fictional world/idea transcends to the non fictional, real world, connecting fiction with
reality. The Secret Miracle deals with dream imagery and transitions into adjacent experiences, ...

Borges depicts dreams are mirrored to the source it originates from. Such theme is also evident in
Hamlet.
In The Circular Ruins, Borges audience tries to understand the origin of the dreamer. When the
dreamer finally notices the idea of the dream cycle, the reader then, realizes that the dreamer s
memory had been eliminated by his father as the dreamer had done for his son. In his work, Borges
conveys the notion that the perception of reality depends upon the mind, to shape reality rather than
external substance, reflecting the concept of mirrors. In The Man on the Thresholds the audience again
witness a story within . There is a parallel to both stories, while David Alexander is being put to death
we also encounter the removing of the tyrant. In Hamlet, Shakespeare places Hamlet in a series of
unfortunate events, similar to the idea of reoccurring events in Borges work. Borges concept of the
mirror relates to Hamlet in finding meaning in reality through the dream Hamlet has. Shakespeare
mirrors Hamlets actions in his dream, bringing Hamlet (and the audience) back to where his dream
begins, with his death. Borges concept of a mirror is extremely interesting in relation to magical
realism where characters are set to motion in a realistic fictional world (similar to the world of the
audience) but supernatural mirrored aspects arise thought the development of the

Borders s stores control is forcefully competitive and not only contains Internet based retailers and

Scientists have projected possible tsunami scenarios for coastal Oregon and Washington, based on the
human impact of the 2004 Sumatra and 2011 Japan tsunami. An earthquake along the Cascadia

For Colored Girls is comprised of seven women who represented a different shade of the rainbow. The
colors are brown, red, yellow, white, green, orange and blue. Their costumes and make up transformed
each of them and were symbolic of the color their character embodied. The ensemble acting made all
of their roles of equal importance, without one dominating the other. These women together formed a

Stellar Numbers
The aim of this task is to investigate geometric shapes, which lead to special numbers. The simplest
example of these are square numbers, such as 1, 4, 9, 16, which can be represented by squares of side
1, 2, 3, and 4.
Triangular numbers are defined as the number of dots in an equilateral triangle uniformly filled with
dots . The sequence of triangular numbers are derived from all natural numbers and zero, if the
following number is always added to the previous as shown below, a triangular number will always be
the outcome:
1 = 1
2 + 1 = 3
3 + (2 + 1) = 6
4 + (1 + 2 + 3) = 10
5 + (1 + 2 + 3 + 4) = 15
Moreover, triangular numbers can be seen in other mathematical theories, such as Pascal s triangle, as
shown in the diagram ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The coefficients above are simply plugged into the calculator; this can be seen in the screenshots
below
Hence the general formula for the sequence is Sn = 6n2 6n + 1, to be certain that this is in fact correct,
it can also be worked out as shown below.
The second difference of the sequence is divided by 2, since this is the value of a, thereafter the
sequence is extended to T0, as the number highlighted in red is c. To figure out the value of b, the
values have been substituted into the quadratic formula as shown below, where after the equation has
been solved using simple algebra.
Sn = an2 + bn + c
Sn = 6n2 + bn + 1
S1 = (6)(1)2 + b(1) + 1
1 = 6 + b + 1 b = 6
∴ Sn = 6n2 6n + 1
As seen above, this method works out the same general formula, and this is tested below to assess the
validity.
Sn = 6n2 6n + 1S3 = 6(3)2 6(3) + 1S3 = 6(9) 18 + 1S3 = 54 17S3 = 37 | Sn = 6n2 6n + 1S5 = 6(5)2
6(5) + 1S5 = 6(25) 30 + 1S5 = 150 29S5 = 121 |
The results derived from the general formula are the same as worked out earlier when not applying
any formula at all; hence, it is correct and can be applied to terms 3 and 5 and also other values of n.
The previous example was then repeated using

Meals Tax On November 8th, voters will be asked to vote for or against the Meals Tax. This meals tax
would be imposed on prepared foods and restaurant meals. The Meals Tax was proposed by Fairfax
County. The reason for this Meals Tax is to fund public schools and county services. The seventy
percent will go to Fairfax County Public Schools. Also, the thirty percent will go towards capital
improvements, county services and property tax relief. It would impose a four percent tax on top of
the existing six percent sales tax. The Meals Tax will support Fairfax County children and help protect

these tough economic times, this tax will be no help and it will hurt people. There are many questions
to the Meals Tax. What is Meals Tax? The definition of this tax is taxes incurred in addition to a state s
sales tax on the purchase of prepared foods that are eaten in restaurant or to go. The media said that
Meals Tax would be up to four percent. The actual range is various from between 0.5 percent to as
high as 5.5 percent. There are other cities that charge a tax. Cities like Miami, Virginia Beach, Dever,

Chemical Structure Of Chitin And Cellulose
3.2 Chemistry of chitin
Similar to its polysaccharide nature, Chitin has a similar chemical structure as that of cellulose. It is
reported to be a polymer with high molecular weight of N acetyl D glucosamine units which are
linked by β D bonds, which has 1000 3000 units (Shahidi Abuzaytoun 2005). In similarity with
cellulose, chitin has an acetamido group at its C2 postion unlike cellulose which has a hydroxyl group
(Shahidi Abuzaytoun 2005). Figure 1 shows the structure of chitin, its derivative chitosan and
cellulose.
Figure 1: Structure of chitin, chitosan and cellulose, Source: (Shahidi Abuzaytoun 2005)
Furthermore, discussing the structure of chitin, it is reported that chitin and chitosan are
heteropolymers as compared to cellulose which is a homopolymer (Kumar R 2000). In addition to the
structure of chitin the degree of N acetylation is also an important part of its chemistry. It is important
to know the chemistry related to the degree of N acetylation that is the ratio of 2 acetamido 2 deoxy D
glucopyranose to 2 amino 2 deoxy D glucopyranose (Kumar R 2000), before considering its
application for specific purposes. Furthermore, chitosan is one such universally accepted derivative of
chitin that is obtained by N deacetylation to such a degree at which it is soluble in aqueous solution of
acetic acid and formic acid, an optimized degree to achieve chitosan is 0.35 or less. This ratio is can be
defined by several analytical methods such as gel permeation

There are short term external sources of finance available in the form of a bank overdraft which is
flexible and can be increased/decreased instantaneously (subject to bank approval). These can be
inexpensive to arrange with competitive interest rates but these rates are higher than a term loan and
this is not a secure form of finance as a bank overdraft could become repayable on demand.
Another source of short term external funding to be considered is asset based finance which is utilised
by debt factoring which will reduce tied up funds in the customer accounts and is outsourced to a
subcontractor. According to Dyson,
there are two types of factoring: recourse factoring, where an entity obtains a loan based on the
amount of its debtor balances and non recourse factoring, where the debtor balances are sold to a
factor and the factor then takes responsibility for dealing with them. Factoring is a convenient way of
obtaining ready cash but either the interest rate on the loan or the discount on the invoices may be high
, (2010:437).
Short term Internal sources of finance can be achieved by using tighter credit control, therefore
exercising good cashflow management by reducing terms and payment period to customers although
potential lost sales and the reputation of the company should be considered together with credit
policies adopted by rival businesses.

Question 1a. Write a one page concise or two pages double spaced summary explaining the Federal
Reserve.
Basically, the Federal Reserve System is a banking system of the United States. It was created in
1913, with the enactment of the Federal reserve Act (2014). There are many responsibilities the
Federal Reserves has which include, supervision and regulation, monetary policy, payment services
and finally the financial stability. President Woodrow Wilson signed the Federal Reserve Act, into a
law. There are also many events that led up to the signing of the Federal Reserve Act that stuck out to

The money and banking systems weren t the same in Colonial America. Colonial banks were not
allowed to accept deposits from the public or make loans. Instead, they issued paper currency backed
by metals and goals. Colonists were also limited to using bartering, European coinage as their primary
means of exchange. The legislation created a uniform national currency and permitted only nationally
chartered banks to issue bank notes (2014).
There was a period of a free banking era. There was a huge need for a reliable banking system during
the civil war. Many banks did not keep enough money on hand to meet the normal demands. People
lost their confidence in the banks and then began to go take their money out. This triggered a
succession of bank failures. The Federal Reserve System had a severe financial crisis, in

Common Themes In Seger s Creating The Myth
Until reading Seger s, Creating the Myth I did not realize how movies are connected in a special way.
Most movies have the common background, and similar heroic endings, through the story is usually
different from one another. The movie I will be analyzing is The Lion King. It is not the traditional
superhero movie, but it has the same common principles. There were many universal themes
embedded in this movie to help us connect more with the movie. Seger mentions in paragraph 13,
many times...the hero doesn t want to leave, and this is true. Simba, in The Lion King, did not want to
leave but he felt his father, Mufasa, death was because of him. Simba lost himself and literally almost
died from running away until he got help from some unusual creatures. This is another point Seger
mentions in paragraph 14, the hero usually receives help, and the help often comes from unusual
sources. Without the help from Pumba and Timon, Simba realistically would have died whether from
starvation or depression. These creatures taught him, Hakuna Matata, which taught Simba not to
worry about things he could not fix. Thus, they helped him, in a way, get away from his past life and

How Did Chinese Culture Influence The Qing Dynasty
From the Shang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Chinese culture had influence to neighboring and some
distant countries, at the same time China also transformed by other influence. One of the dominating
traditional belief with which China interacted with the world was a vassal or tributary formation. It
basically believed itself to be the center of civilization and other small states as tributaries or vessels
like a river with small tributaries. It was essentially an arrangement under which all types of contracts

philosophical ideas.
On the other hand, the rulers of north, the Mongols, Jurchen and Xiongnu had to be countered and it
led the foreign policy to be assertive at times especially under the Ming Dynasty. In the third century
B.C. Qin Dynasty in the North had emerged which build up a powerful state by internal reforms and
creation of a powerful army. However, the most famous and far reaching project was the building of
Great Wall of China to contain the nomadic horsemen from the north. Most of the construction of it
was carried out in the Ming Dynasty and it was a symbolic boundary that acted as a shield from any

Overall, the Chinese were though at one hand encouraged the trade, but at certain points became

La County Fair Research Paper
Getting Lost at the L.A County Fair I turned around and at that moment I realized I was lost. Field
Trips are always exciting growing up because it s a day off of school until you get lost. I always
looked forward to going on field trips growing up. To me it was an opportunity to miss class but also
learn new exciting things. Every year in middle school, my school went to the Los Angeles County
Fair in the beginning of September. Since it was the beginning of the school year, it was a fun time
considering this is the most exciting field trip all year. There was this feeling about this field trip that it
was going to be different.
It was my eighth grade year and the last time going to the fair with my school. Before we left, we took
attendance, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I knew I had to find my group and fast, so I put my stuff in my bag and looked for them. I first looked
to see if they went to the other side, surprise they weren t there. I went to the last place we went, they
weren t there. I decided to check to see if they went to another dinosaur, no sign of them. I went back
to where I was in the first place. I was walking and at the corner of my eye, I saw a person from my
group looking at some artifacts. I went over there and saw the rest of my group. I became relieved to
see them. My friend asked me, where I did I go? And I told her, that I was still writing down facts
when they left me. At that point I realized, that they may have left me on purpose because I wasn t
with them. Despite whatever the reason was I had to make sure I was around my group at all times.
After that scary experience, we enjoyed ourselves and got food and ride on a few fair rides.
This trip was unlike any other ones.Getting lost at such a big place, was a scary experience. This is a
moment, that I will always remember that changed my outlook on people. No matter what, I learned to
put the past behind me and be cautious of my surroundings. I guess that it just shows to make sure you
know where everyone is at all times because you never know what can and will happen. From this
experience, I learned to keep up with my group at all times and make sure I don t get left behind even
if I don t like the people I m working with. This time in my life reminds me to keep a watchful

  • 3. Analysis Of Paulo Freire s The Banking Theory Concept... In the essay The Banking Concept of Education, Paulo Freire creates the argument that teachers simply deposit knowledge into students and the students then only store the deposits, without having any input of their own. He says that the student records, memorizes, and repeats these phrases without perceiving what four times four really means.... (318). The teacher teaches and the students are taught; the teacher chooses and enforces his choice, and the students comply; the teacher chooses the program content, and the students (who were not consulted) adapt to it. But, with the fresh air having brought a healthy glow to her cheeks, and her hair slightly ruffled from a spirited walk around archways, fields and Courtyard, everything seemed interesting. She had soon learned that Camelot Castle was the kind of place where you could find everything by following the crowd. Over a week into her stay, and the chatter still lifted her heart. What was going on? Another Knighting ceremony, or other celebration? Rather than heading towards the Court used when she arrived in Camelot, tearfully luring Arthur to his death, the crowd swerved to the right and down several more corridors until they reached two great oak doors. The guards opened them and Mithian gasped in delight. Rather than the lower arched ceiling she remembered, this ceiling stretched forever into the sky, its windows sparkled with sunlight, making each pane look like a sheet of diamonds and at the far end, she saw two Thrones adorned with intricate decorations. The King and Queen were already seated, discussing something in low voices. Pausing, Mithian studied them with a strange feeling in her stomach of either envy nor admiration. Gattegno And The Silent Way Caleb Gattegno (1911 1988), one of the most prominent and productive educators of the twentieth century, is best known for his innovative approaches to teaching and learning foreign languages (The Silent Way). In 1972, Caleb Gattegno introduced The Silent Way, that is, a language teaching method whose basic concept is that the teacher should remain silent much of the time, thus its name while the students speak as much as possible. In the same way, Gattegno was under the impression that the teacher should focus on the way students learn more often rather than how to teach. In fact, he expressed support for language learning by problem solving, creative, discovering activity and all that, which is directly opposed to drills such as seen in audiolingualism. He, on the other hand, contends that students could naturally earn a new language like a child, through perception, awareness, creativity, and other mental processes. Besides being critical of linguistic theory, he devoted his thinking to a pedagogical perspective called the subordination of teaching to learning in that learners demands are placed at the center of teaching, so teaching is subordinate or dependent to learning. • 31. Stellar Numbers The aim of this task is to investigate geometric shapes, which lead to special numbers. The simplest example of these are square numbers, such as 1, 4, 9, 16, which can be represented by squares of side 1, 2, 3, and 4. Triangular numbers are defined as the number of dots in an equilateral triangle uniformly filled with dots . The sequence of triangular numbers are derived from all natural numbers and zero, if the following number is always added to the previous as shown below, a triangular number will always be the outcome: 1 = 1 2 + 1 = 3 3 + (2 + 1) = 6 4 + (1 + 2 + 3) = 10 5 + (1 + 2 + 3 + 4) = 15 Moreover, triangular numbers can be seen in other mathematical theories, such as Pascal s triangle, as shown in the diagram ... The second difference of the sequence is divided by 2, since this is the value of a, thereafter the sequence is extended to T0, as the number highlighted in red is c. To figure out the value of b, the values have been substituted into the quadratic formula as shown below, where after the equation has been solved using simple algebra. Sn = an2 + bn + c Sn = 6n2 + bn + 1 S1 = (6)(1)2 + b(1) + 1 1 = 6 + b + 1 b = 6 ∴ Sn = 6n2 6n + 1 As seen above, this method works out the same general formula, and this is tested below to assess the validity. It is reported to be a polymer with high molecular weight of N acetyl D glucosamine units which are linked by β D bonds, which has 1000 3000 units (Shahidi Abuzaytoun 2005). In similarity with cellulose, chitin has an acetamido group at its C2 postion unlike cellulose which has a hydroxyl group (Shahidi Abuzaytoun 2005). Figure 1 shows the structure of chitin, its derivative chitosan and cellulose. Figure 1: Structure of chitin, chitosan and cellulose, Source: (Shahidi Abuzaytoun 2005) Furthermore, discussing the structure of chitin, it is reported that chitin and chitosan are heteropolymers as compared to cellulose which is a homopolymer (Kumar R 2000). In addition to the structure of chitin the degree of N acetylation is also an important part of its chemistry. It is important to know the chemistry related to the degree of N acetylation that is the ratio of 2 acetamido 2 deoxy D glucopyranose to 2 amino 2 deoxy D glucopyranose (Kumar R 2000), before considering its application for specific purposes. Furthermore, chitosan is one such universally accepted derivative of chitin that is obtained by N deacetylation to such a degree at which it is soluble in aqueous solution of acetic acid and formic acid, an optimized degree to achieve chitosan is 0.35 or less. Another source of short term external funding to be considered is asset based finance which is utilised by debt factoring which will reduce tied up funds in the customer accounts and is outsourced to a subcontractor. Most of the teachers of Montgomery, called for a one day protest against the bus line, asking the blacks to stay at home or find another way to get to work or school. This strike hurted the bus system. The success of that one day protest persuaded Montgomery civil rights leaders to organize a larger scale boycott of the buses. The NAACP organizers, particularly the leader, E.D. Nixon decided the most way to gain support and spread the word in black communities in Alabama to enlist the help of local ministers and church leaders. Nixon and NAACP established the Montgomery Improvement Association (MIA) to arrange the boycott and at it, they appointed a twenty six year old minister, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr as its president.
