Stanislavsky Biography
An Actor (Writing a Research Paper on Stanislavsky) Prepares Cast your eyes towards Hollywood.
Notice the thousands of actors attempting to make it by bouncing from one audition to the next with
headshot and résumé in hand. The amount of desperate thespians is just as abundant if not more in
New York, Chicago, London, etc.. As economically aware citizens, they strive for the same goals:
work, money, a reason to quit that job at T.G.I. FRIDAY s. However, as artists, each strives for truth.
Before a man, known simply by theatre aficionados as Stanislavsky , theatre was somewhat of a
spectacle. Somewhere between the eras of Shakespeare and Chekov, actors had lost the ability to act
truthfully. For Victorian actors, a hand turned up on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It wasn t until age twenty one when the young Konstantin adopted the name Stanislavsky in order to
keep his theatrical career a secret from his bourgeois family (Merlin). At the time, professional actors
in Russia had the social status equivalent to that of a poor farmer. They had only recently escaped
serfdom and were freshly no longer the property of nobility (Benedetti). For a man of such high birth,
the idea of pursuing a career in theatre was inconceivable; however, the cultural interest and love of
theatrical entertainment of the Alekseyev family only fueled Stanislavsky s pursuits. Sergei
Vladimirovich Alekseyev, Stanislavsky s father, converted multiple buildings on his family s estate
into theatres, making the Alekseyev home Moscow s hub for cultural and artistic life (Benedetti).
Named The Alekseyev Circle, this family owned theatre is where Stanislavsky would make his acting
debut. In the September of 1877, a time which Stanislavsky himself refers to as the beginning of [his]

Samir Nassaf Mustafa
ABSTRACT : In this work, the mechanical and water absorption properties of polymer blend
polypropylene (PP) and low density polyethylene (LDPE) at constant ratio (50/50) composites as a
function of kaolin powder weight content in the grain size (100,120 µm) were investigated. Polymer
composite was fabricated by mixing polymer blend ( PPLDPE) with (0, 1, 3 ,5, 10, 14) wt.% of kaolin
powder to obtain desirable properties. The parameters such as tensile strength, tensile modulus,
elongation at break , yield stress, impact strength, shore D hardness and water absorption test were
carried out on the prepared samples. The results showed that the addition of kaolin powder to the
polymer leads to increase the tensile strength, modulus of elasticity, shore D hardness and impact
strength and it decreases the % elongation at break,. Water absorption of the composites behaves as
function of time (days) has also been investigated, and it increases by increasing immersion time for
the same filler content, while the absorbed amount of water increases, by increasing the wt% of kaolin
at constant immersion time.
Keywords: mechanical properties. polypropylene, low density polyethylene, kaolin, blend, filler.

Winston Churchill s Iron Curtain
On March 5, 1946, Winston Churchill gave his most prominent speech at Westminster College in
Fulton, Missouri. The Iron Curtain is thought to be the mark of the beginning of the Cold War.
Numerous notable speeches were given during the World War II time period, but among these
speeches, the Iron Curtain just seems to stand out. The Iron Curtain dealt with principles such as
freedom, democracy, and justice. He opened up the eyes of millions. Churchill hoped to introduce the
threat of communism upon the minds of the world. People believed the war of the century had already
came and passed, but Winston Churchill presumed otherwise. When the Soviet Union rejected to
adopt democracy, the world began to fear of what is to come. The Soviet Union s decision to not take
part in the expansion of democracy led the world to exist in a constant fearful and anxious state. ...

He describes the Soviet Union s quest to spread communism like wildfire. The Iron Curtain speech
alerted the world s nations about the intentions of the Soviet Union. Churchill saw the Soviet Union
desire to foist communism to Eastern European countries. This speech has presented the world one of
the most distinguished metaphors; an iron curtain was set to describe the controversy between
democracy and communism. In his speech, Churchill acknowledges America s new role as a strong
world power and what they must do.
Churchill s speech recognized that the Soviet Union was trying to convert Eastern Europe to
communism. The Soviets would dominate politically, socially, and culturally in the region.
Churchill recognized that with the building of the Berlin Wall, the Soviet Union was basically saying
that the East was in the Russian sphere of influence. Churchill understood that the Soviet Union was
no longer acting in co operation with the West for the benefit of Europe, but was dividing Europe into

oppressed was through Jim Crow laws. These laws were especially seen at the voting polls. African
Americans were harassed at the polls, threatened, forced to pay poll tax, forced to do literacy tests and
even killed for voting. (americanhistory.si.edu). This kept the democratic party in power during this
time. So with all of this happening to African Americans in the south the only way that was seen to
escape this oppression was through education. The only education at this time allowed for African
Americans in the south was a trade education. The same kind of education advocated by Booker T.
Washington. The reason why this was the only kind allowed was to keep African Americans as the

When Tennessee State University originally founded its goal and mission was to teach agricultural and
industrial trade to African Americans. As before stated the reason for this was due to any other form of
education that did not keep African Americans as the working class was not accepted in the Jim Crow
south. The programs that the University has available reflected this mindset during the time. The
programs that promoted trade that the University had were agricultural, industrial, home economics
and engineering. As aforementioned these programs were meant for the prevention of the African
American community from rising above poverty. This University was also seen as very difficult to
teach at according to W.E.B. Du Bois letter to his future wife, ...you picked a very difficult place to
start teaching... (Du Bois 1). The reason on why Du Bois would be saying that this is a difficult place
to teach at might be due to the area s racism or due to having to teach trade skills to the students which
Du Bois was very against advocating more of a traditional style of education over trade education. As
time went on the University did change its original goals. Tennessee State University has changed
their goals over the years of being active. Their original goal was to provide an industrial and
agricultural education to the African American community. This goal slowly evolved into a more

Epilogue To The Waiters
When we got inside a fancy restaurant and waited for a waiter to address us a smile broke out, because
I haven t gone anywhere in a good while. I look around at my surrounding and found everything so
nice and expensive by the way the food look. I look down at my clothes knowing I wasn t dress to
look the part.
You look beautiful shorty. Eli says as if he heard my thoughts. I nod my head not believing him seeing
other people dress high and expensive are in here. The waiter comes to us telling us our table is ready.
We follow him as we walk hand in hand to our table with people eyeing us. I felt shy and nervous for
some reason. I wanted to take my hand out of Eli hand, but for some reason he tightens his grip on my

I like being in charge as you can see. Eli says.
Why didn t you become the leader in the gang? Eli chuckles.
If I was the leader would you have love me instead of Nino? His questions don t hit me since I had a

How do you know I loved Nino?
He almost killed you, but after that you still wanted him. I think that s safe to say that s love. Eli says

Bathypelagic organisms are mostly black, red or transparent, rendering them essentially invisible in
the weak biological light. Because they do not go anywhere, streamlining has either not evolved or has
disappeared. 2.3 The Bathypelagic Zone In the bathypelagic zone, most organisms 4 are unable to
undertake vertical daily migrations because below a certain depth the pressure is too great and the
swim bladder is unable to function gas cannot be produced. Most of these fish lack swim bladders or,
like orange roughy, have bladders that are filled with wax. Sharks do not have swim bladders but are
able to move vertically. To plane up and down they rely on strong swimming and the buoyancy
provided by their oily livers (oil is less dense than water). This zone is located at a depth of 1000 to

Persuasive Essay About Homework
Can you agree that lately homework is being largely misguided? Can you agree that homework is
being abused without producing its primary intended results? I highly urge you on behalf of all
students operating through this system; change is needed. The current use of homework may be
contributing to the decline in the motivation of students; therefore, interfering with their academic
potential. Evidently, there has been an abundance of research which shows how homework is
detrimental to a teen s self confidence, social skills, overall health, and most importantly their attitude
towards school. Why am I directing this straight to the teachers? Teachers have full control over what
they hand out and what they demand from students. Teachers also have the authority to practice their
style of teaching and alter them accordingly. Every teacher should consider the unhealthy and negative
outcomes which come with the homework system. In every student s life, a teacher is another
character you will meet who is supposed to guide, motivate, and support you through your journey in
life. Teachers are rather more like mentors. However, this concept has escaped for a majority of
students because of the pressure and the endless amount of stress which is constantly being stacked on
top of each other. In 2013, researchers from Stanford surveyed more than 4,300 students from high
schools in California. One of the questions the researchers asked the students was; did you experience

Human Trafficking And Sex Trafficking
A challenge that I took interest in is the horrifying problem that women and young girls face as
victims of human trafficking and sex slavery. Women and young girls make up 98% of victims of
trafficking for exploitation. Human trafficking and sex slavery is a form of modern slavery, in which
traffickers profit from the control and exploitation of others. It is a multi billion industry. Traffickers
use control of others for the purpose of engaging in sexual activities and or forcing others to provide
labor services against their will. Traffickers use many manipulative tactics to trap their victims in
horrific situations such as using violence, threats, deception, and bondage.
More women and girls are transported into brothels yearly, in the 21st century, than African slaves
were shipped into slave plantations each year in the 18th century. In the United States, sex trafficking
commonly occurs in online escort services, residential brothel, brothels that may be disguised as
businesses, and in street prostitution.
High profits and low risks are the two primary factors that drive the spread of human trafficking. It is
a market driven criminal industry that is based on the principal of supply and demand. Traffickers
generate billion of dollars in profits each year. Traffickers can be lone individuals or extensive
criminal networks. Pimps, gangs, family members, labor brokers, employers of domestic servants,
small business owners, and large factory owners have all been found

Baboon Research Paper
Baboons also called dog faced monkeys, are an old world monkey of the genus Papio, belonging to
the family Cercopithecinae. There are five species of baboons that live across Africa and Arabia. They
inhabit a wide array of climates but favor savannas and other semi arid habitats even though some live
in tropical forests. Baboon s travel in hierarchical groups called troops. Columbia Electronic
Encyclopedia says, most species travel in groups of 40 to 80, which are socially based on a core of
females and may include several transient males but there is variation between types of baboons. This
essay will cover baboon s daily life, vocal communication, and social behavior with respect to their
ability to handle environmental stressors. There are two types of baboons the savanna baboon,
chacma, olive, yellow, and Guinea baboons. They live, as their name would suggest in the tropical
grasslands of the North African savanna. The second type is the hamadryas baboon, which lives in the

of a higher quality then most other primates. This lack of variation among the taxa is compatible with
the assumption that evolutionary constraints play an important role limiting the flexibility in the
structure of nonhuman primate vocalizations (Maciej et al). Evolution has caused the vocal variation

A Discussion On Organizational Culture
It is the fourth day of the retreat and fifteen people are sitting in a conference room on the bank of the
Mohican River in Ohio. The conversation is difficult; to the rhythm of brief respites of silence, the
careful culling of words betrays the veiled tension. The moderator has been facilitating a discussion
centred on the difference between leading and managing; many wonder: What s the point? Everyone
attending mostly individuals who for years have been deeply immersed in a traditional manufacturing
shop floor environment work at Tool, Inc., a hierarchical organization where workers followed
supervisor s orders, who in turn executed the senior team s strategy and mandates. To participants,
facilitators look like supervisors, so they impatiently wait for an order. But they are not ordering, but
asking. Naturally, it took them a few days to connect with the facilitators, who had been laboriously
kneading them into a mind set where such an intangible conversation about organizational culture
would even be possible. After an hour of persistent nudging, one jaded machinist finally summarized
Tool, Inc. s culture: Do your eight, hit the gate . It would take more than just one retreat and
participants from every role, layer and team across the organization to finally achieve the headroom
necessary for the conversation facilitators meant to have that day. Defining the many differences
between leading and managing was, of course, not a purely semantic pursuit. Tool,

development of technologies that can exploit this domain. This paper researches various emerging
technologies that impact the cybersecurity field. The emerging technologies that are discussed in this
paper are based on advances in information systems, computing, and security. Each emerging
technology that is discussed in this paper is explained thoroughly, including information on its
characteristics and possible usage. Additionally, further information is provided regarding the role the
federal government has regarding its support for the emerging technology. Finally, the benefits and
drawbacks that support from the federal government creates for emerging technology is described.
Emerging Cybersecurity Technologies
Emerging technology is a term that is utilized to describe technology that is or will be developed
within the next few years. As a result, these technologies are of great interest to many individuals and
organizations. For example, how the technology will be exploited will be dependent on the
characteristics and the usage of the technology.
The increased use of information and information systems has also created an increased dependency
on this technology. The development of the personal computer in the late 1970 s early 1980 s in itself
was an emerging technology in its time. It provided the spark that set off a new revolution in
technology and led to the

Michael Moore Capitalism Synopsis
Michael Moore is the writer and director of the highly relevant documentary film, Capitalism: A Love
Story. To me, the most interesting chapter of the film is Dead Peasants. Moore talked about capitalism
is a system of giving and taking, mostly taking . In my opinion, it sounds true for me. Moore
illustrated Irma Johnson s husband Dan ironic case. Who recently died of cancer, leaving behind Irma
and their two sons. They filmed the woman cried and sadly talked about her husband. Her husband
worked in middle management at Amegy Bank in Houston, Texas. Amegy had taken out a secret life
insurance policy on Dan s life. The bank generously named itself as the beneficiary in the event of
Dan s death. Dan s death made them $1.5 million richer by the insurance company accidentally
informed Irma that Amegy Bank had received a check for $1.5 million just weeks after Dan died. Irma
Johnson cried in pain that she didn t know anything and they never told her. Why the company try to
profit from employee s death?. How are these companies able to get away with this?. Moore might be
answer those kinds of question in sarcastic way : I guess that s the point of capitalism. It allows you to
get away with anything, like making a profit off the death of an employee.
These kind of corporate insurance policies on employees, with the normal use of life insurance, ...

Learning Into Three Sub Categories
According to a study conducted by the Institute of Education, children who read for pleasure made
more progress in math, vocabulary and spelling between the ages of 10 and 16 than those who rarely
read ( Reading for Pleasure, 2013). Nowadays, we see children who prefer using the latest gadgets,
rather than reading a book. This is due in part to the significant advancement in technology, but the
main concern here is, how can parents keep their children away from iPad s, iPhones, and
playstations, and get them to read? Psychologically.
Learning is a very important part in psychological development, and is defined as the process of
acquiring new and relatively enduring information and behavior (Myers, 2013, p. 266). However, not

268 283). How can we use this concept of classical conditioning to help parents encourage their kids
to read more often?
One of the earliest methods of classical conditioning for reading in children can occur during infancy.
Reading to infants contributes to the development of their growing brains and gives them a good start
towards a lifelong love of reading and good literature ( The Importance of Reading, 2015). Reading
aloud connects synapses in the infant s brain through the linking of neurons, thus greater enhancing
child development. Infants have stranger anxiety starting from nine months of age, and always feel the
need to be close to parents or caregivers. As a result, if the parents or caregivers read to their children,
the children can associate reading with a pleasant interaction from the parents.
Emerging from infancy, there are also many precautions that can be taken to get children to read in
their early years. For example, Parents can convey important positive impressions about reading by
making reading an experience their children will remember and cherish ( What Parents Can Do,
2015). Changing your tone of voice for different characters is one of the many strategies that leads
children to be more engaged. The different tones create a sensation

The Importance Of The Media
With the fantastic spur both in industry and economy in the world, the spread of media is on the rise.
In general, media refers to the implement of mass communication, it consists of newspaper,
magazines, television, the internet and so forth. There is a huge amount of media users around the
world which means the number of audiences is large. As generally acknowledged, nowadays, the
spread of news, entertainment has a rapid speed through the media and mass communication. The
public opinions and thoughts can be easily affected by the spread of media, also, mass communication
of the news media may provide some bias and prejudice of the news. In this sense, to have a powerful
communication tool, the agenda setting theory demonstrates that it is better if shaping the various
news in order to create a moral society (Kiousis and McCombs, 2004). In general, agenda setting
describes the effects of the media on the general public, the ability to choose important issues (Moon
2011, p.699). The sense of agenda setting has been deeply accepted by the public a long time ago. In
1992, Walter Lippmann (1992), a newspaper columnist, argued that the mass media has the ability to
produce images of events that can be present to the public. Since 1948, Lazarsfeld and Metton (1948)
acknowledged that the function of the press to give specific status upon events it emphasizes. Till
1959, Norton Long (Long 1958) also illustrated that media will grasp specific attention from the
public on certain

Models Of Health And The Biopsychosocial Model Of Health
Models of Health The World Heath Organization defines health as being a state of wholeness in a
person s mental, physical, and social well being (Gurung, 2014). Different models of health are used
worldwide to assist in achieving this state. Two widely used models of health in the United States
include the biomedical model of health and the biopsychosocial model of health. They both strive to
help individuals and communities achieve wholeness, while approaching this in different manners.
Each model of health has strengths, drawbacks, and practical uses in the field of medicine. The
biomedical model of health takes into account the physical or biological quality of life and is widely
used in the Western medicine approach to health (Gurung, 2104). A basic assumption of this model is
that the mind and body connection is irrelevant. Many advances in medicine have occured because of
the biomedical model of health. In using evidence based medicine it has been possible to evaluate the
results of clinical and pharmaceutical research in order to make strides in medicine (Ashton, 1999). It
takes advantage of algorithmic treatment options. Even though this approach may be more difficult for
a psychiatrist to utilize when diagnosing and treating a patient, this model has radically shaped
psychotherapy research and psychiatric medication (Deacon, 2013). The biomedical approach lends
itself more readily to research because of its quantitative nature and it is less subjective than the
biopsychosocial approach when measuring emotions and culture. The biopsychosocial model of health
is a multidimensional approach to health (Lecture 1, 2014). It focuses not only on the biology or
physiology of a person, but also includes the psychology of a person and the manner in which society
and culture influence health as well (Gurung, 2014). It was developed in the 21st century as an
important theoretical framework to approaching health and medicine (Richtig, Trapp, Kapfhamer,
Jenull, Richtig Trapp, 2016).This approach makes the assumption that the mind and body connection
is not only relevant but also vital to a person s entire well being. It takes a holistic approach when
treating an individual and can improve health in the

The city state was divided at the time into Guelphs the party of the pope and Ghibellines the party of
the Holy Roman Emperor. The Alighieris belonged to the former party until they were driven out in
the late 1200s.
The Guelphs assumed power but split themselves up into Whites and Blacks, the Whites taking the
antipapal position of the Ghibellines. Dante eventually cast his lot in with the Whites. When the
Blacks seized power in Florence in 1302, they condemned him to death, forcing him to leave his wife,
Gemma Donati, and their four children in his beloved native city for the rest of his life. Dante spent
most of his time in exile writing new pieces of literature (Siegal). It is believed that around 1307 he
stops work on Convivio to begin The Comedy (later known as The Divine Comedy). He completed it
shortly before he dies in 1321. The Divine Comedy is
recognized as his greatest literature accomplishment not only for the multitude of themes and
literature firsts, but also for the beauty of his writing style.
With his writing style and the implementation of some literature firsts, Dante assured his name in

Holland Tunnel Essay
Holland Tunnel
It has taken engineers thousands of years to perfect the art of digging tunnels. Today tunnels provide
available space for cars and trains, water and sewage, even power and communication lines. However,
before cars and trains, tunnels carried only water. The first to use tunnels on a major scale were the
Romans. Roman engineers created the most extensive network of tunnels in the ancient world. The
Romans built aqueducts to carry water from mountain springs to cities and villages; however, in many
instances there were obstacles, such as rock formations, in between the spring and the city of interest.
To solve these problems the Romans built tunnels by carving underground chambers and building
elegant arch structures to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, there were drawbacks to a bridge crossing. A Hudson River bridge would require a
minimum clearance of 200 feet for ships to travel to and from the Hudson River ports. Since the
Manhattan side of the Hudson did not meet the 200 foot elevation requirement for a bridge, long
approaches would have to be built on the New York side. Because the land that was required for these
long approaches would require the purchase of very costly Manhattan real estate the bridge idea was
rejected in favor of a tunnel.
There are three basic steps to building a stable tunnel. The first step is excavation: engineers dig
through the earth with a reliable tool or technique. The second step is support: engineers must support

Three main proposals were submitted for the Hudson river tunnel; The first proposal was a bi level

an 18½ foot wide roadway and a clearance of 12 feet, flanked by sidewalks measuring 4½ feet wide.
The lower level, which was to be reserved for express vehicles, was to have a 16 foot wide roadway

1 Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Banking Operations in Nigeria An Evaluation
of Recent Experiences By Akinlolu Agboola Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife, Nigeria Abstract
The study is a comprehensive evaluation of the response of Nigerian banks to the adoption of ICT.
Three categories of variables that relate to the adoption and implementation of information technology
devices were used for the study. These include the nature and degree of adoption of innovative
technologies; degree of utilisation of the identified technologies; and the impact of the adoption of
ICT devices on banks operation. The study covered 36 out of the 89 banks in the country as at the end

The banking industry in Nigeria has witnessed tremendous changes linked with the developments in
ICT over the years. The quest for survival, global relevance, maintenance of existing market share and
sustainable development has made exploitation of the many advantages of ICT through the use of
automated devices imperative in the industry. This study evaluates the response of Nigerian banks to
this new trend and examines the extent to which they have adopted innovative technologies in their
operations and the resultant effects. Information and Communication Technology Information
Technology (IT) is the automation of processes, controls, and information production using
computers, telecommunications, software and ancillary equipment such as automated teller machine
and debit cards (Khalifa 2000). It is a term that 4 generally covers the harnessing of electronic
technology for the information needs of a business at all levels. Irechukwu (2000) lists some banking
services that have been revolutionized through the use of ICT as including account opening, customer
account mandate, and transaction processing and recording. Information and Communication
Technology has provided self service facilities (automated customer service machines) from where
prospective customers can complete their account opening documents direct online. It assists

Effects Of British Rule On India
By the late 1700s, industrially made goods were gaining popularity in Europe. With all of the
factories, the British needed resources to continue making all of the products that were in high
demand. In the early 1700s, India s government was falling apart. With their political vulnerability and
great climate for growing crops, India was ideal territory for the British to take advantage of. The East
India Company, a British company, took workers and land after victoriously beating India in the Battle
of Plassey. Over time the company gained control of more and more land. When Britain took control
of India, they set up a new government, opened up trade with other countries, made efforts to preserve
the environment, and reduced the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dr. Lalvani explains how the British came and reunified the government, which had fallen apart
(Paragraph 6). What he didn t mention, is that after building it, they largely took control over the
government, not allowing the people that were native to the country to run it themselves, which might
ve factored into the split of the country of India after it was granted independence from Britain
(Document 1). When British administration began, new trades were put in place (Paragraph 10), and
the farmers in India were taught how to use their land for profit by growing cash crops, but in doing
so, also degraded the earth, causing the climate to warm, and leaving the soil malnourished and unfit
for growing any more crops (Document 7). Last, although teaching the people of India the English
language would ve helped to unite the country, only a minority of the young, wealthy Indians were
taught the language (Document 10), perhaps to keep the mass of the population easier for the
government to control. Dr. Lalvani chose to only look at the advancements that British Imperialism
brought India, but you can also see the long lasting effects of Imperialism by looking at the hardships
and struggles that the people of India had to endure, and are still dealing with

The Five Principle Beliefs Of Christianity
OUTLINE THE FIVE PRINCIPLE BELIEFS OF CHRISTIANITY
The principle beliefs associated with Christianity exuberate the understanding of life for its adherents,
whilst perpetrating an influence on society. This therefore allows for the comprehension of sacred
texts and its cohesive meaning on an entity. The principle beliefs of Christianity include the divinity
and humanity of Christ, his death, resurrection and ascension, the nature of God, revelations and
salvation. The correlation between these beliefs ultimately shape Christianity itself and thus enhances
the influence it has over the adherents.
The divinity and humanity of Christ is evident through his suffering and sacrifice, in conjunction with
his eloquent relationship with God. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another prevalent issue regarding the divinity and humanity of Christ is Arianism, which primarily is
the belief that Jesus is superior to the rest of creation however is not an equal to God purely due to him
being created by the deity, thus is not an eternal entity. The Council of Nicaea in 325 was called to
fight against Arianism. The Council developed the Nicene Creed which states that the Father and the
Son are of one essence, which correlates with the trinity, hence Jesus is fully divine. The Council of
Constantinople reaffirmed this decision. Nestorius undermined the unity of Jesus by claiming that
Mary was the Mother of the human Jesus but not the divine Jesus, suggesting that there were two
beings within Jesus. The Council of Ephesus in 431 CE rejected this view and confirmed the notion
that there was only one entity within Jesus, therefore Mary could rightfully be called the Mother of
God or theokotos. The establishment of the divinity and humanity of Christ ultimately distinguished
him as part of the Trinity with the deity, in addition to being a saviour of humanity through his
extensive suffering.
The death, resurrection and ascension of Christ accentuates the importance his divinity and humanity
is to the Christian adherents. Adequate reflections on the crucifixion of Jesus highlight the notion that
death is an integral part of the human condition and one that is shared.

Anxiety Negative Effects
Anxiety is a negative aspect of experiencing stress. It is the worry that is experienced due to fear of
failure Honeybourne (2003)
My Opinion
Anxiety is triggered mostly in the mind and is psychological. It can cause shaking, perspiration and
increased heart beat. Severe cases would need therapy and medication to help control it as it is more to
do with mental health rather than physical health.
Type of Anxiety
There are two types of anxieties
Trait anxiety which is an aspect of personality and part of an individual s pattern of behavior.
Someone with a high level of trait anxiety is likely to become worried in a variety of situations; even
non threatening situations.
State anxiety is a temporary, ever changing mood state that is an emotional response to any situation
considered threatening. For example, at the start of a show jumping event, the rider may have higher
levels of of state anxiety that settle down one the event begins. State anxiety levels may increase again
when coming up to a particularly high jumps and then be at their highest level when coming towards
the final jump which, if they were to clear up quickly and cleanly, would result in a win. There are two
types of state anxiety: Cognitive state anxiety is the amount you worry Somatic state anxiety relates to
your perception of the physiological changes that happen in a particular situation.
Causes of anxiety
Having to much stress can cause anxiety this is known as a negative effect of stress. An athlete may
get anxious if they have a fear of failing, fear of bad feedback from coaches and managers, fear of the
match or competition taking place for example in a world cup final, fear or an injury happening and
the athlete being out for a long time without any control
Symptoms of anxiety
Cognitive state anxiety relates to negative thoughts, nervousness and worry experienced in certain
situations. People that have cognitive state anxiety are likely to have concentration problems, fear and
bad decision making. The level of anxiety increase when the performance level decrease. When the
performers concentration drops their performance levels also decrease this is due to the mistakes they
have made during the match or game. When

Essay about Discrimination Against the Deaf Culture
The deaf community does not see their hearing impairment as a disability but as a culture which
includes a history of discrimination, racial prejudice, and segregation. According to an online
transcript, Through Deaf Eyes (Weta and Florentine films/Hott productions Inc., 2007) there are thirty
five million Americans that are hard of hearing. Out of the thirty five million an estimated 300,000
people are completely deaf. There are ninety percent of deaf people who have hearing parents
(Halpern, C., 1996). Also, most deaf parents have hearing children. With this being the
exemplification, deaf people communicate on a more intimate and significant level with hearing

According to an online journal by Carla A. Halpern, in 1817, a Connecticut clergyman named Thomas
Hopkins Gallaudet, opened the first permanent school for the deaf in Hartford (Halpern, C., 1996).
This deaf school was for American children which only had seven students and a head teacher by the
name of Laurent Clerc. Clec was from the Paris Institution for the Deaf and had been deaf since
infancy. He bought to the United States a nonverbal form of communication known as French sign
language (Halpern, C., 1996). The technique that Clerc taught was by the use of his hands, which he
communicated with French sign language, blended with a bit of signs used by students in the United
States. To Gallaudet the language was a inspiration which he called it, Highly poetical (Weta and
Florentine films/Hott productions Inc., 2007), but to Clerc and many of the deaf people, the using of
sign was natural and useful. This was a result of a created acculturated nonverbal language known as
American Sign Language (ASL). As new schools for the deaf spread west and south, American sign
language also evolved as well in the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky,
Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois. By the year of 1864, Abraham Lincoln signed a law constituting the first
college in the world for deaf students called Gallaudet University and all these schools used sign as a

The Shakespeare Conspiracy Theory
William Shakespeare, by far one of the greatest playwrights of all time, is clouded with controversy.
Rumors run rampant that he was nothing more than a non de plume for someone who wished to keep
the anonymity of his identity. There have been names such as Edward De Vere the 17th Earl of
Oxford, Sir Francis Bacon, even Queen Elizabeth herself was among those thought to be the true
writer of the plays and poems.
To start from the beginning of the controversy, the earliest actual documentation of such findings
began in 1785 by an oxford scholar named James Wilmot. It was here that when James came up empty
handed of any evidence of Shakespeare s plays did he come to the conclusion that it had to have been
someone else and that someone was Sir Francis Bacon. James however never reported anything and
on his deathbed actually destroyed his writings, but not before telling a fellow scholar, James Corton
Cowell, his findings. Cowell would leave and make a presentation to the Ipswich Philosophic Society,
and so began the greatest mystery of whether William Shakespeare was a famous playwright or a
fraud taking credit for the work of someone else.
The search for evidence to either prove or disprove this conspiracy has been one of the hardest
searches I have ever had to do. I searched countless sites and countless books to find at least one
negative or positive piece of evidence other than just speculation and one side arguing against another
on the true author.

Bats and agave plants have co evolved over millions of years, however that relationship was disrupted

The population has subsequently rebounded in the U.S., due in part to the tireless work of Medellin

To further bat conservation, Medellin has joined forces with a handful of tequila producers and bar

According to their website, a simple shift in agricultural practices could be a boon for biodiversity.

The Victorian era, spanning from 1830 1901, was a period of dramatic change with the rapid extension
of colonialism through Africa, Asia and the West Indies making England a world power and relocating
the perceived centre of western civilisation to London. Advances in industry, science, technology,

Both vastness and ocean make the reader feel lost and fearful of the unknown activities and size of the

other words such as omens , spiritual , ghosts , witches , shadows , echoes , haunted , spectral and
subterranean are piled on the reader to create a sense of fear, vulnerability and death.
Next is The Signalman by Charles Dickens, which is about a visit from a ghost. The setting for this
story is very old, depressing, dingy and gloomy but the scenery around the signalman isn t reflected in
his personality. His box is located underground next to the railway line. Straight away the setting
seems to be weird as it s descending down, as if almost entering hell, zigzag path descending down . I
think this because most nice stairways are straight and go up, not uneven. The writer also describes the

words I would think of when dungeon is mentioned. Also it says there was a gloomy red light, and the
gloomier entrance to a black, in whose massive architecture there was a barbourus, depressing and
forbidding air . This makes the reader think that this

My Mistakes In My Life
My mistakes and life have been just growing with me as I move further into my life. I have had so
much mistakes ever since I was a baby. I am really clumsy which makes it easy for me to make tons of
mistakes. I thought this would be an interesting topic because you learn from failure and just got to
accept that fact.
The Mistakes I Made as a Baby/Toddler:
The only way I knew of all these mistakes I made as a baby was because my parents recorded
everything when I was a baby. I was an angry baby my parents said because whenever they took a
picture of me I would be making my angry baby face .
My family and baby me went to a park and, of course, my parents were recording me. I was a mad as
usual for no reason. I ran away with my chubby little baby legs. My parents were freaking out because
they couldn t spot where I was until... THUMP!
I bumped into a hotdog stand and fell on the ground. I started crying like the huge baby I was. My
parents to this day don t trust what I am doing when I start to wander off.
Another mistake I have made in my baby life is, I was at a funeral, my parents were being respectful
so they didn t record me. I was around 3, my parents say, I wanted for them to carry me but, my
parents didn t want to. Baby me was, of course, angry because my parents didn t want to carry me.
And I started crawling in the aisle so no one can see me. It was super easy to see me, and my parents
started having a panic attack because they had no clue where I was heading to. My parents were
surrounded by people so they couldn t run over to me and grab me, quickly. Also, my parents were
going crazy and when that happens you don t think of the simplest ideas. My brother, though, could
get around the crowd and most likely reach me before I did anything dumb.
My brother starts crawling through all the people trying to reach me. Just imagine this, you see a 3
year old crawling towards the altar and then you see a 8 year old about 5 feet behind that baby. My
baby eyes saw that my brother was behind me and as the smart baby I was I start going in different
directions. My brother finally stands up and sees what I am doing. He starts lunging towards me so he
can reach me faster. If he was just one foot closer he

Fahrenheit 451 Vs Today
Albert Einstein once said, I Fear the Day That Technology Will Surpass Our Human Interaction and

In On the Principles of Nature , Aquinas expounded upon the natural philosophies of Aristotle.
Aquinas established his three principles to be form, matter, and privation (Aquinas 19). Matter was
being in potency, Privation was not being in act, and from was that through which it becomes actual,
namely form. Matter and form were principles of being. Neither existed absolutely. Form was the
principle of actuality and perfection, while matter was the principle of potentiality and imperfection.
Form is what make a thing what it is, and matter is what a thing can be. Matter become form. This is
known as Generation (Aquinas 19). Aquinas also used the same four causes which Aristotle used,
efficient, material, formal, and final. Aquinas broke things down to the smallest level possible when
evaluating them. He did all of this in an attempt to help further explain the soul and the rational soul.
He tried to explain it all through reason and the investigation of causes using his principles. This
pursuit of Aquinas was inspired by the wonder he had from Theology and Aristotle.
The second work of Aquinas, which the class was introduced, further carried on with the previous
themes. In The Love of Wisdom , Aquinas once again was working off of teachings by Aristotle. This

An Evaluation Of A Business System Essay
Companies must ensure that they put in place mechanisms that will ensure upgrading the systems in
the work place are hassle free. Early preparations must be put in place to ensure that there is very little
disturbance to clients. The movement is due to an increase in the number of clients and the intention
of the firm to serve these clients better. AET has come up with a migration strategy that is divided into
three phases. Once the plan is executed, there are possibilities that the migration will serve the
intended clients in the best way possible. The cost of the entire exercise and an overview of the work
breakdown structure and the related costs are also captured.
Introduction
AET is a rapidly growing IT firm. It, therefore, means that their current systems cannot support most
of their operations. According to Flinttzer, Hein, Kahse, Mohse, et al. (2014) when the client base
increases, it is prudent that measures must be put in place to ensure the firm meets the needs of the
clients. The system upgrade is not supposed to cause a breakdown in the operations of the firm. Proper
selection of the person to be in charge of the program is key to ensuring the success of the program.
Proper prior preparation and the laying of the firm s migration strategy will ensure that there are no
hiccups experienced on the way (Meads, 2011). It is on this basis that AET has put in place a strong
team that will ensure the upgrade is achieved.

Effiecieny of Islamic Banking in Malaysia
Efficiency of Islamic Banks in Malaysia
Mariani Abdul Majid*
NOR GHANI MD. NOR**
FATHIN FAIZAH SAID
ABSTRACT
IN RECENT YEARS, MALAYSIAN ISLAMIC BANKS HAVE TO OPERATE IN AN
INCREASINGLY COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT. THIS TREND IS EXPECTED TO
CONTINUE AS THE COMPETITION FROM CONVENTIONAL BANKS PICKS UP, PARTLY IN
RESPONSE TO THE ASEAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT (AFTA), BUT ALSO IN RESPONSE
TO THE GENERAL GLOBALIZATION OF MARKETS. HOW ISLAMIC BANKS WILL BE
AFFECTED BY THE INCREASED COMPETITIVE PRESSURES DEPENDS IN PART ON HOW
EFFICIENTLY THEY ARE RUN. THIS PAPER EXAMINES THE PRODUCTIVE EFFICIENCY
OF MALAYSIAN COMMERCIAL (ISLAMIC AND CONVENTIONAL) BANKS OVER THE 1993
TO 2000 TIME PERIOD. THE GOAL OF THE ANALYSIS IS TO IDENTIFY THE ... Show more

Total deposits in the Islamic banking system amounted to RM47 billion (9.5 percent) compared to
RM495 billion total deposits in the entire system (Abdul Kader, 2002).
The gale of economic liberalization currently sweeping across the globe provides another reason for
looking into the efficiency of Islamic banks since it poses a further competitive challenge to the
Islamic banking institutions. It is expected that by the year 2007, trade liberalization will require
Malaysian domestic banks to compete with other global players on an equal playing field. Such a
change implies that local Islamic banking institutions will have to be efficient, innovative, competitive
and resilient players in the market. This is particularly important since foreign banks that are arguably
more efficient may also offer Islamic banking products to take advantage of brisk demand for Islamic
banking products.
The policy relevance of this study can be viewed from the target set by the Malaysian central bank
(Bank Negara Malaysia) for the Islamic banking institutions to command a 20 percent market share by
year 2010 as outlined in its financial sector master plan. How the increased competition expected in
the future affects Islamic banks partly depends on how efficient the banks

Hot Site Research Paper
Hot Site
Hot site is the solution to provide immediate recovery, so it is called mirrors of the datacenter
infrastructure (Aparicio, 2011). Furthermore, recovery of data and applications is done through a fully
redundant data center configuration. Hot site can be done continuously, so it allows to employees to
continue with operations (Aparicio, 2011). Hot site should be included hardware, software, network,
and internet connection. Data backup and replication to hot site is done in a regular basis, so that it can
be made completely operational in a minimum time after a disaster. To avoid any disaster effect on hot
site, it should be located far from the original site (Aparicio, 2011).
Warm Site
Warm site is another solution of disaster planning, however it is different than the hot site. The warm
site uses network, server, power, phone and other resources. Furthermore, warm site allows pre install
the software and pre configured bandwidth needs (Hobbs, 2005). So, if disaster occurs, just have to
load the software to restore data in the business. However, a warm site does not provide immediate
switch over like hot site, but warm site gives solution in less cost. Another difference between hot site
and warm site is that, hot site provides replication of data, whereas warm site makes server ready to
install the software (Hobbs, 2005). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, cold site takes more time switch operation but cheaper than the other sites. Cold site is a
datacenter space to provide facility to infrastructure, data, and applications through restoring data at a
disaster recovery location (Varghese, 2002). It includes from telephony recovery and email recovery to
relocation (Varghese,

Elderly Patients Communication
10 Tips for Nurses for Effective Communication with Elderly Patients
Effective communication facilitates positive patient outcomes. [1] When caring for senior patients,
this might involve providing for certain issues. Older patients may have multiple conditions, such as
hearing loss, vision impairment, dementia, or Alzheimer s disease. Additionally, providers may have
to address sensitive topics, such as end of life care.
When treating the elderly, it s important not to make assumptions about patients abilities and take the
time to understand the conditions and circumstance that are unique to each client; patients may or may
not suffered from age related impairments. While the following tips might appear time consuming at

Death-Marked Love
A Star Crossed Review of Death Marked Love.
Today I have just finished watching the movie Romeo and Juliet, and I d like to give my personal
opinion of the movie. The movie has tons of love scenes and fights. The company Paramount Pictures
published the movie in 1968. The director was Franco Zeffirelli. The plot of Romeo and Juliet is
relatively simple. Romeo goes to a ball, Juliet is there, Romeo see Juliet, and he falls in love. The
same night, Juliet falls in love with Romeo. The movie takes place in Verona, Italy. The main
characters are Romeo and Juliet, two young lovers whose families have been feuding. The story is
about the two lovers trying to be together, but their families constantly get in the way.
For the most part, the actors did fairly well. I especially enjoyed the performance of Romeo, played by
Leonard Whiting. He brought Romeo to life but not in an overly exaggerated way. Juliet, played by
Olivia Hussey, also did a decent job. However, when it came to trying scenes, she did that same crying
voice and pose. It got repetitive towards the end and killed the moments that were supposed to be
heart wrenching. The Nurse and Priest did an excellent job, but I expected that from veteran actors. ...

Not because it s a bad production, it s actually fairly good for its age, but because I just don t have
anybody I know who would enjoy watching the movie. The MPAA rating for Romeo and Juliet is PG.
I don t agree with that rating myself. I think it should be PG 13, for a couple of reasons. One, there s
that mild nudity scene that we skipped over, the multiple deaths, and lastly two people commit suicide
over each other! That is not a great message to send to kids! With PG 13, at least kids in that age
bracket would know that committing suicide over a five day romance is a dumb idea. Also that you
don t actually have to be married and have a kid by the age of

Alzheimer s Disease Personal Statement
Alzheimer s disease not only degrades a patient s quality of life during their final years, but
additionally steals those precious years before death away from the families. This gruesome disease
also affects my family; alzheimer s runs on my grandmother s side and has lead to the deterioration of
many strong women. This personal connection has had a pivotal role in my life decisions and goals,
leading me to pursue an M.D/Ph.D with a specialty in neurology in order to focus on the clinical
research of Alzheimer s disease. To take part in the NINDS program means gaining experience in the
way that actual research runs, seeing how scientists and clinicians collaborate, and glimpsing into the
life of a clinician. Thus, this experience will promote my career by providing an advantage over the
competition when applying to medical schools, moreover giving me knowledge and experience to
draw upon when entering into my own research. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

is why I wish to take part in the NINDS program; it provides the unique opportunity to not only
conduct research on neurological disorders, but also to learn about how clinicians work with patients
on a daily basis to put into practice the ideas that research brings

How My Sex, Gender, And Race Ethnicity Influenced My...
In this self analysis, I look at how my sex, gender, and race ethnicity influenced my concept of family
and traditional gender roles. Education as a minority has forced an awareness on the disproportion of
men and women in STEM majors. Navigating through stereotypes, cultural differences, and
similarities amongst family, peers, and strangers has been an ongoing voyage in my life. The
opportunities my upbringing and culture has afforded and the consequences of chances are critical in
how I balance multiple statuses. Identifying as a double minority has affected my life experiences and
potential career options will also be reflected upon. The master, ascribed status associated with being a
woman has countless affects on my experiences and how it has designed my life. Everything I do is
with the mindset of a woman, whether it is how I dress or how I speak. From the time when I was
young, I was the first female child within my generation. Even at the age of five, I recall countless
times where I had to prove I could hang with the boys. This sort of initiation occurred in countless
ways from doing gross dares to having to show I can take a punch literally. Enduring all this mayhem
only seemed natural because I did not want to be seen or treated differently from the boys. Time
passed and my woman ness became even more prevalent as boys were able to get away with things
that I could not. Close your legs, girls do not play with toy guns, Put down the Gameboy, go play with

Israel s Involvement In The 1967 June War
The nature of Israel s involvement in the 1967 June War can be aptly portrayed as both a prime
example of pre emptive self defence of the nation and as a rapacious campaign of self interested
opportunism. A central tenet of the Israeli position that Arab encroachment posed a danger to the
continued existence of Israel is that the short and long term consequences of Israel not acting
decisively were disastrous and had to be avoided. The partisan essence of the Six Day War is
exemplified through the Arab narrative s empathetic denial that Israel acted defensively and their
testimony that the actual aggressor in this conflict was Israel. Primary source documents, particularly
declassified intelligence reports, provide a unique prism through which one can deconstruct some of
the underlying principles that steer Israel s justifications of war against its foes. Likewise, the rejection
of elements of Israel s narrative by esteemed Israeli s such as Yitzhak Rabin and Abba Eban indicates
that certain facets of its conduct in the June War cannot be reasonably understood as being defensive.

M. A. El Kony, who served as the United Arab Republic s ambassador to the United Nations,
succinctly summarised the Arab narrative by stating Israel has committed a treacherous premeditated
aggression against the United Arab Republic . The notion that Israel had explicitly planned the Six
Day War as a land grabbing maneuverer is utterly contradictory to the principles encapsulated within
the ideology of defensive warfare. Consequently, it becomes vital to analyse contemporary source
material to determine the veracity of the Arab narrative as doing so will enable an unbiased observer
to form a more nuanced position that could deviate considerably from the Israeli

Much is mentioned about Ethiopia in the bible and as more slaves started to read about it soon
concluded that their homeland was part of the Garden of Aden, cradle of mankind . (Napti). These
revelations about Ethiopia came at a time when majority of African people, inside and outside of
Africa were ruled by white supremacy. Ethiopia one of the few places still not dominated by white
power became for all the Africans living in despair and oppression, a place of freedom and of pride in
their heritage. Soon after, hope emerged among the black population, especially in Jamaica, where
they lived in despair and poverty, oppressed by white ruling as well. During the 19th century, when
many Africans learn to write and read English, some grew to be quite known and respected, in
particular Marcus Garvey, a Jamaican born scholar. He was seen as a prophet among the people living
in the slums of Kingston, Jamaica. During this time, the Rastafarian religion was not quite established
yet; however his travels, organizational abilities and pioneering efforts established a basis and a spirit
for a foundation for Rastafari s development (Dubb). He wanted to unify Africa in order to create a
government ruled by the black people. Garvin s vision was for blacks to overcome their feelings of
inferiority

The Truism Of Ambition In Shakespeare s Othello
I am not who I am. Shakespeare s Othello suggests the truism that human nature is at core savage
through Iago s ambition and duplicity. Geoffrey Sax builds upon this concept by suggesting the
irrelevance of morality/the distinction between good and evil in 1980 s London. Personal ambition
still plays a major role in lives of humans both in Shakespeare s period and the 20th and 21st century.
In the tragedy Othello, Shakespeare demonstrates how ambition manipulates people s minds against
morality and causes the tragic fall of the hero. Shakespeare studies the human nature of the machiavel
in the Renaissance period that is Iago, the machiavel, who causes the death of Othello for his own
selfish interest. At the beginning of the play, in Iago s

Neural Network Based Intrusion Detection Systems
3. Neural Networks This technique follows the same notion of how human brain works. It consists of
collection of highly interconnected processing elements that convert a set of given inputs to a set of
desired outputs. The widely used neural network for intrusion detection is Multilayer Perceptions
(MLP).Neural Network based intrusion detection systems are intended to classify the normal and
intrusion patterns and the type of the attack. For this purpose, the network is trained on various types
of attacks and normal data. One input node is present for each element of the feature vector, and one
output node for each class, to which a feature may be assigned, as shown in fig.4. The nodes in the
hidden layer are connected to the input nodes and the connection has some initial weight assigned to
it. These weights can be modified during the training process. Fig.4 : Neural Network Back
propagation rule is the learning algorithm used for MLP which is a gradient descent method and is
based on an error function. Error function represents the difference between network s calculated
output and desired output. The error is back propagated from one layer to the previous one using back
propagation rule. The weights on the connection are modified according to the back propagated error
so that there is reduction in the error. The output of the neural network would be one of the two
values: intrusion and normal. It is seen that, huge number of training vectors leads to

  • 2. Stanislavsky Biography An Actor (Writing a Research Paper on Stanislavsky) Prepares Cast your eyes towards Hollywood. Notice the thousands of actors attempting to make it by bouncing from one audition to the next with headshot and résumé in hand. The amount of desperate thespians is just as abundant if not more in New York, Chicago, London, etc.. As economically aware citizens, they strive for the same goals: work, money, a reason to quit that job at T.G.I. FRIDAY s. However, as artists, each strives for truth. Before a man, known simply by theatre aficionados as Stanislavsky , theatre was somewhat of a spectacle. Somewhere between the eras of Shakespeare and Chekov, actors had lost the ability to act truthfully. For Victorian actors, a hand turned up on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It wasn t until age twenty one when the young Konstantin adopted the name Stanislavsky in order to keep his theatrical career a secret from his bourgeois family (Merlin). At the time, professional actors in Russia had the social status equivalent to that of a poor farmer. They had only recently escaped serfdom and were freshly no longer the property of nobility (Benedetti). For a man of such high birth, the idea of pursuing a career in theatre was inconceivable; however, the cultural interest and love of theatrical entertainment of the Alekseyev family only fueled Stanislavsky s pursuits. Sergei Vladimirovich Alekseyev, Stanislavsky s father, converted multiple buildings on his family s estate into theatres, making the Alekseyev home Moscow s hub for cultural and artistic life (Benedetti). Named The Alekseyev Circle, this family owned theatre is where Stanislavsky would make his acting debut. In the September of 1877, a time which Stanislavsky himself refers to as the beginning of [his] Childhood and Adolescence (Stanislavsky: MLIA), fourteen year old Konstantin Alekseyev made his first journey to the stage. EFFECT OF KAOLIN ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF POLYPROPYLENE/ POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITE MATERIAL Samir Nassaf Mustafa ABSTRACT : In this work, the mechanical and water absorption properties of polymer blend polypropylene (PP) and low density polyethylene (LDPE) at constant ratio (50/50) composites as a function of kaolin powder weight content in the grain size (100,120 µm) were investigated. Polymer composite was fabricated by mixing polymer blend ( PPLDPE) with (0, 1, 3 ,5, 10, 14) wt.% of kaolin powder to obtain desirable properties. The parameters such as tensile strength, tensile modulus, elongation at break , yield stress, impact strength, shore D hardness and water absorption test were carried out on the prepared samples. The results showed that the addition of kaolin powder to the polymer leads to increase the tensile strength, modulus of elasticity, shore D hardness and impact strength and it decreases the % elongation at break,. Water absorption of the composites behaves as function of time (days) has also been investigated, and it increases by increasing immersion time for the same filler content, while the absorbed amount of water increases, by increasing the wt% of kaolin at constant immersion time. Keywords: mechanical properties. polypropylene, low density polyethylene, kaolin, blend, filler. • 4. Winston Churchill s Iron Curtain On March 5, 1946, Winston Churchill gave his most prominent speech at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. The Iron Curtain is thought to be the mark of the beginning of the Cold War. Numerous notable speeches were given during the World War II time period, but among these speeches, the Iron Curtain just seems to stand out. The Iron Curtain dealt with principles such as freedom, democracy, and justice. He opened up the eyes of millions. Churchill hoped to introduce the threat of communism upon the minds of the world. People believed the war of the century had already came and passed, but Winston Churchill presumed otherwise. When the Soviet Union rejected to adopt democracy, the world began to fear of what is to come. The Soviet Union s decision to not take part in the expansion of democracy led the world to exist in a constant fearful and anxious state. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He describes the Soviet Union s quest to spread communism like wildfire. The Iron Curtain speech alerted the world s nations about the intentions of the Soviet Union. Churchill saw the Soviet Union desire to foist communism to Eastern European countries. This speech has presented the world one of the most distinguished metaphors; an iron curtain was set to describe the controversy between democracy and communism. In his speech, Churchill acknowledges America s new role as a strong world power and what they must do. Churchill s speech recognized that the Soviet Union was trying to convert Eastern Europe to communism. The Soviets would dominate politically, socially, and culturally in the region. Churchill recognized that with the building of the Berlin Wall, the Soviet Union was basically saying that the East was in the Russian sphere of influence. Churchill understood that the Soviet Union was no longer acting in co operation with the West for the benefit of Europe, but was dividing Europe into two ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

African Americans were harassed at the polls, threatened, forced to pay poll tax, forced to do literacy tests and even killed for voting. (americanhistory.si.edu). This kept the democratic party in power during this time. So with all of this happening to African Americans in the south the only way that was seen to escape this oppression was through education. The only education at this time allowed for African Americans in the south was a trade education. The same kind of education advocated by Booker T. Washington. The reason why this was the only kind allowed was to keep African Americans as the working class in the south and never to rise above ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When Tennessee State University originally founded its goal and mission was to teach agricultural and industrial trade to African Americans. As before stated the reason for this was due to any other form of education that did not keep African Americans as the working class was not accepted in the Jim Crow south. The programs that the University has available reflected this mindset during the time. The programs that promoted trade that the University had were agricultural, industrial, home economics and engineering. As aforementioned these programs were meant for the prevention of the African American community from rising above poverty. This University was also seen as very difficult to teach at according to W.E.B. Du Bois letter to his future wife, ...you picked a very difficult place to start teaching... (Du Bois 1). The reason on why Du Bois would be saying that this is a difficult place to teach at might be due to the area s racism or due to having to teach trade skills to the students which Du Bois was very against advocating more of a traditional style of education over trade education. As time went on the University did change its original goals. Tennessee State University has changed their goals over the years of being active. Their original goal was to provide an industrial and agricultural education to the African American community. This goal slowly evolved into a more traditional ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most of these fish lack swim bladders or, like orange roughy, have bladders that are filled with wax. Sharks do not have swim bladders but are able to move vertically. • 8. Persuasive Essay About Homework Can you agree that lately homework is being largely misguided? Can you agree that homework is being abused without producing its primary intended results? I highly urge you on behalf of all students operating through this system; change is needed. The current use of homework may be contributing to the decline in the motivation of students; therefore, interfering with their academic potential. Evidently, there has been an abundance of research which shows how homework is detrimental to a teen s self confidence, social skills, overall health, and most importantly their attitude towards school. Why am I directing this straight to the teachers? Teachers have full control over what they hand out and what they demand from students. Teachers also have the authority to practice their style of teaching and alter them accordingly. Every teacher should consider the unhealthy and negative outcomes which come with the homework system. In every student s life, a teacher is another character you will meet who is supposed to guide, motivate, and support you through your journey in life. Teachers are rather more like mentors. However, this concept has escaped for a majority of students because of the pressure and the endless amount of stress which is constantly being stacked on top of each other. In 2013, researchers from Stanford surveyed more than 4,300 students from high schools in California. One of the questions the researchers asked the students was; did you experience any ... • 9. Human Trafficking And Sex Trafficking A challenge that I took interest in is the horrifying problem that women and young girls face as victims of human trafficking and sex slavery. Women and young girls make up 98% of victims of trafficking for exploitation. Human trafficking and sex slavery is a form of modern slavery, in which traffickers profit from the control and exploitation of others. It is a multi billion industry. Traffickers use control of others for the purpose of engaging in sexual activities and or forcing others to provide labor services against their will. Traffickers use many manipulative tactics to trap their victims in horrific situations such as using violence, threats, deception, and bondage. More women and girls are transported into brothels yearly, in the 21st century, than African slaves were shipped into slave plantations each year in the 18th century. In the United States, sex trafficking commonly occurs in online escort services, residential brothel, brothels that may be disguised as businesses, and in street prostitution. High profits and low risks are the two primary factors that drive the spread of human trafficking. It is a market driven criminal industry that is based on the principal of supply and demand. Traffickers generate billion of dollars in profits each year. Traffickers can be lone individuals or extensive criminal networks. There are five species of baboons that live across Africa and Arabia. They inhabit a wide array of climates but favor savannas and other semi arid habitats even though some live in tropical forests. Baboon s travel in hierarchical groups called troops. Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia says, most species travel in groups of 40 to 80, which are socially based on a core of females and may include several transient males but there is variation between types of baboons. This essay will cover baboon s daily life, vocal communication, and social behavior with respect to their ability to handle environmental stressors. There are two types of baboons the savanna baboon, chacma, olive, yellow, and Guinea baboons. They live, as their name would suggest in the tropical grasslands of the North African savanna. The conversation is difficult; to the rhythm of brief respites of silence, the careful culling of words betrays the veiled tension. The moderator has been facilitating a discussion centred on the difference between leading and managing; many wonder: What s the point? Everyone attending mostly individuals who for years have been deeply immersed in a traditional manufacturing shop floor environment work at Tool, Inc., a hierarchical organization where workers followed supervisor s orders, who in turn executed the senior team s strategy and mandates. To participants, facilitators look like supervisors, so they impatiently wait for an order. But they are not ordering, but asking. Naturally, it took them a few days to connect with the facilitators, who had been laboriously kneading them into a mind set where such an intangible conversation about organizational culture would even be possible. After an hour of persistent nudging, one jaded machinist finally summarized Tool, Inc. s culture: Do your eight, hit the gate . To me, the most interesting chapter of the film is Dead Peasants. Moore talked about capitalism is a system of giving and taking, mostly taking . In my opinion, it sounds true for me. Moore illustrated Irma Johnson s husband Dan ironic case. Who recently died of cancer, leaving behind Irma and their two sons. They filmed the woman cried and sadly talked about her husband. Her husband worked in middle management at Amegy Bank in Houston, Texas. Amegy had taken out a secret life insurance policy on Dan s life. The bank generously named itself as the beneficiary in the event of Dan s death. Dan s death made them $1.5 million richer by the insurance company accidentally informed Irma that Amegy Bank had received a check for $1.5 million just weeks after Dan died. Irma Johnson cried in pain that she didn t know anything and they never told her. Why the company try to profit from employee s death?. How are these companies able to get away with this?. Nowadays, we see children who prefer using the latest gadgets, rather than reading a book. This is due in part to the significant advancement in technology, but the main concern here is, how can parents keep their children away from iPad s, iPhones, and playstations, and get them to read? One of the earliest methods of classical conditioning for reading in children can occur during infancy. Reading to infants contributes to the development of their growing brains and gives them a good start towards a lifelong love of reading and good literature ( The Importance of Reading, 2015). Reading aloud connects synapses in the infant s brain through the linking of neurons, thus greater enhancing child development. Infants have stranger anxiety starting from nine months of age, and always feel the need to be close to parents or caregivers. As a result, if the parents or caregivers read to their children, the children can associate reading with a pleasant interaction from the parents. Emerging from infancy, there are also many precautions that can be taken to get children to read in their early years. • 16. The Importance Of The Media With the fantastic spur both in industry and economy in the world, the spread of media is on the rise. In general, media refers to the implement of mass communication, it consists of newspaper, magazines, television, the internet and so forth. There is a huge amount of media users around the world which means the number of audiences is large. As generally acknowledged, nowadays, the spread of news, entertainment has a rapid speed through the media and mass communication. The public opinions and thoughts can be easily affected by the spread of media, also, mass communication of the news media may provide some bias and prejudice of the news. In this sense, to have a powerful communication tool, the agenda setting theory demonstrates that it is better if shaping the various news in order to create a moral society (Kiousis and McCombs, 2004). In general, agenda setting describes the effects of the media on the general public, the ability to choose important issues (Moon 2011, p.699). The sense of agenda setting has been deeply accepted by the public a long time ago. In 1992, Walter Lippmann (1992), a newspaper columnist, argued that the mass media has the ability to produce images of events that can be present to the public. Since 1948, Lazarsfeld and Metton (1948) acknowledged that the function of the press to give specific status upon events it emphasizes. Till 1959, Norton Long (Long 1958) also illustrated that media will grasp specific attention from the public on certain ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 17. Models Of Health And The Biopsychosocial Model Of Health Models of Health The World Heath Organization defines health as being a state of wholeness in a person s mental, physical, and social well being (Gurung, 2014). Different models of health are used worldwide to assist in achieving this state. Two widely used models of health in the United States include the biomedical model of health and the biopsychosocial model of health. They both strive to help individuals and communities achieve wholeness, while approaching this in different manners. Each model of health has strengths, drawbacks, and practical uses in the field of medicine. The biomedical model of health takes into account the physical or biological quality of life and is widely used in the Western medicine approach to health (Gurung, 2104). A basic assumption of this model is that the mind and body connection is irrelevant. Many advances in medicine have occured because of the biomedical model of health. In using evidence based medicine it has been possible to evaluate the results of clinical and pharmaceutical research in order to make strides in medicine (Ashton, 1999). It takes advantage of algorithmic treatment options. Even though this approach may be more difficult for a psychiatrist to utilize when diagnosing and treating a patient, this model has radically shaped psychotherapy research and psychiatric medication (Deacon, 2013). The biomedical approach lends itself more readily to research because of its quantitative nature and it is less subjective than the biopsychosocial approach when measuring emotions and culture. The biopsychosocial model of health is a multidimensional approach to health (Lecture 1, 2014). It focuses not only on the biology or physiology of a person, but also includes the psychology of a person and the manner in which society and culture influence health as well (Gurung, 2014). It was developed in the 21st century as an important theoretical framework to approaching health and medicine (Richtig, Trapp, Kapfhamer, Jenull, Richtig Trapp, 2016).This approach makes the assumption that the mind and body connection is not only relevant but also vital to a person s entire well being. It takes a holistic approach when treating an individual and can improve health in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Alighieris belonged to the former party until they were driven out in the late 1200s. The Guelphs assumed power but split themselves up into Whites and Blacks, the Whites taking the antipapal position of the Ghibellines. Dante eventually cast his lot in with the Whites. When the Blacks seized power in Florence in 1302, they condemned him to death, forcing him to leave his wife, Gemma Donati, and their four children in his beloved native city for the rest of his life. Dante spent most of his time in exile writing new pieces of literature (Siegal). It is believed that around 1307 he stops work on Convivio to begin The Comedy (later known as The Divine Comedy). He completed it shortly before he dies in 1321. The Divine Comedy is recognized as his greatest literature accomplishment not only for the multitude of themes and literature firsts, but also for the beauty of his writing style. With his writing style and the implementation of some literature firsts, Dante assured his name in history. Today tunnels provide available space for cars and trains, water and sewage, even power and communication lines. However, before cars and trains, tunnels carried only water. The first to use tunnels on a major scale were the Romans. Roman engineers created the most extensive network of tunnels in the ancient world. The Romans built aqueducts to carry water from mountain springs to cities and villages; however, in many instances there were obstacles, such as rock formations, in between the spring and the city of interest. However, there were drawbacks to a bridge crossing. A Hudson River bridge would require a minimum clearance of 200 feet for ships to travel to and from the Hudson River ports. Since the Manhattan side of the Hudson did not meet the 200 foot elevation requirement for a bridge, long approaches would have to be built on the New York side. Because the land that was required for these long approaches would require the purchase of very costly Manhattan real estate the bridge idea was rejected in favor of a tunnel. There are three basic steps to building a stable tunnel. The first step is excavation: engineers dig through the earth with a reliable tool or technique. The second step is support: engineers must support any unstable ground around them while they dig. The final step is lining: engineers add the final touches, like the roadway and lights, when the tunnel is structurally sound. Three main proposals were submitted for the Hudson river tunnel; The first proposal was a bi level tunnel measuring 31 feet in diameter. The upper level, which was to carry slower vehicles, was to have an 18½ foot wide roadway and a clearance of 12 feet, flanked by sidewalks measuring 4½ feet wide. The lower level, which was to be reserved for express vehicles, was to have a 16 foot wide roadway and a nine foot clearance. The East India Company, a British company, took workers and land after victoriously beating India in the Battle of Plassey. Over time the company gained control of more and more land. Another prevalent issue regarding the divinity and humanity of Christ is Arianism, which primarily is the belief that Jesus is superior to the rest of creation however is not an equal to God purely due to him being created by the deity, thus is not an eternal entity. The Council of Nicaea in 325 was called to fight against Arianism. The Council developed the Nicene Creed which states that the Father and the Son are of one essence, which correlates with the trinity, hence Jesus is fully divine. The Council of Constantinople reaffirmed this decision. Nestorius undermined the unity of Jesus by claiming that Mary was the Mother of the human Jesus but not the divine Jesus, suggesting that there were two beings within Jesus. The Council of Ephesus in 431 CE rejected this view and confirmed the notion that there was only one entity within Jesus, therefore Mary could rightfully be called the Mother of God or theokotos. The establishment of the divinity and humanity of Christ ultimately distinguished him as part of the Trinity with the deity, in addition to being a saviour of humanity through his extensive suffering. The death, resurrection and ascension of Christ accentuates the importance his divinity and humanity is to the Christian adherents. It is the worry that is experienced due to fear of failure Honeybourne (2003) My Opinion Anxiety is triggered mostly in the mind and is psychological. It can cause shaking, perspiration and increased heart beat. Severe cases would need therapy and medication to help control it as it is more to do with mental health rather than physical health. Type of Anxiety There are two types of anxieties Trait anxiety which is an aspect of personality and part of an individual s pattern of behavior. Someone with a high level of trait anxiety is likely to become worried in a variety of situations; even non threatening situations. State anxiety is a temporary, ever changing mood state that is an emotional response to any situation considered threatening. For example, at the start of a show jumping event, the rider may have higher levels of of state anxiety that settle down one the event begins. State anxiety levels may increase again when coming up to a particularly high jumps and then be at their highest level when coming towards the final jump which, if they were to clear up quickly and cleanly, would result in a win. There are two types of state anxiety: Cognitive state anxiety is the amount you worry Somatic state anxiety relates to your perception of the physiological changes that happen in a particular situation. Causes of anxiety Having to much stress can cause anxiety this is known as a negative effect of stress. Rumors run rampant that he was nothing more than a non de plume for someone who wished to keep the anonymity of his identity. There have been names such as Edward De Vere the 17th Earl of Oxford, Sir Francis Bacon, even Queen Elizabeth herself was among those thought to be the true writer of the plays and poems. To start from the beginning of the controversy, the earliest actual documentation of such findings began in 1785 by an oxford scholar named James Wilmot. It was here that when James came up empty handed of any evidence of Shakespeare s plays did he come to the conclusion that it had to have been someone else and that someone was Sir Francis Bacon. James however never reported anything and on his deathbed actually destroyed his writings, but not before telling a fellow scholar, James Corton Cowell, his findings. Cowell would leave and make a presentation to the Ipswich Philosophic Society, and so began the greatest mystery of whether William Shakespeare was a famous playwright or a fraud taking credit for the work of someone else. The search for evidence to either prove or disprove this conspiracy has been one of the hardest searches I have ever had to do. That is also like today given that there are now surround sound speakers and OLED or 3D TV s that make you feel like you re in that place. Secondly, the difference between actual and estimated returns is less than 5%, (FASB ASC 250 10 S99 1) therefore, according to GAAP the difference is immaterial and the accounting procedure is permissible. Lastly, the estimated cost of keeping detailed records for each product line of each division may outweigh the benefits of accurate rates of returns. Option #2: Trademark, Inc., after responding to complaints and the high rate of returns, relationships with customers increased and they received less returns. Trademark, Inc. s ability to make a reasonable estimate of future returns was impaired because they altered their shipping method, but did not change how they estimated for the return of damaged goods. According to FASB ASC 605 15 25 3, the ability to make a reasonable estimate of future returns may be impaired if there have been changes in the selling entities policies or relationships with customers. This gave each of them different insights, which helped to create their philosophies and principles of their philosophies. Each philosopher also had a different means as to how they delivered their ideas and teachings. With so many differences the three had one thing in common: A love for wisdom, and the need to share it with others. Socrates was a great philosopher from Ancient Greece. Aquinas established his three principles to be form, matter, and privation (Aquinas 19). Matter was being in potency, Privation was not being in act, and from was that through which it becomes actual, namely form. Matter and form were principles of being. Neither existed absolutely. Form was the principle of actuality and perfection, while matter was the principle of potentiality and imperfection. Form is what make a thing what it is, and matter is what a thing can be. Matter become form. This is known as Generation (Aquinas 19). Aquinas also used the same four causes which Aristotle used, efficient, material, formal, and final. Aquinas broke things down to the smallest level possible when evaluating them. He did all of this in an attempt to help further explain the soul and the rational soul. He tried to explain it all through reason and the investigation of causes using his principles. This pursuit of Aquinas was inspired by the wonder he had from Theology and Aristotle. The second work of Aquinas, which the class was introduced, further carried on with the previous themes. In The Love of Wisdom , Aquinas once again was working off of teachings by Aristotle. HOW ISLAMIC BANKS WILL BE AFFECTED BY THE INCREASED COMPETITIVE PRESSURES DEPENDS IN PART ON HOW EFFICIENTLY THEY ARE RUN. Total deposits in the Islamic banking system amounted to RM47 billion (9.5 percent) compared to RM495 billion total deposits in the entire system (Abdul Kader, 2002). The gale of economic liberalization currently sweeping across the globe provides another reason for looking into the efficiency of Islamic banks since it poses a further competitive challenge to the Islamic banking institutions. It is expected that by the year 2007, trade liberalization will require Malaysian domestic banks to compete with other global players on an equal playing field. Such a change implies that local Islamic banking institutions will have to be efficient, innovative, competitive and resilient players in the market. This is particularly important since foreign banks that are arguably more efficient may also offer Islamic banking products to take advantage of brisk demand for Islamic banking products. The policy relevance of this study can be viewed from the target set by the Malaysian central bank (Bank Negara Malaysia) for the Islamic banking institutions to command a 20 percent market share by year 2010 as outlined in its financial sector master plan. • 43. Death-Marked Love A Star Crossed Review of Death Marked Love. Today I have just finished watching the movie Romeo and Juliet, and I d like to give my personal opinion of the movie. The movie has tons of love scenes and fights. The company Paramount Pictures published the movie in 1968. The director was Franco Zeffirelli. The plot of Romeo and Juliet is relatively simple. Romeo goes to a ball, Juliet is there, Romeo see Juliet, and he falls in love. The same night, Juliet falls in love with Romeo. The movie takes place in Verona, Italy. The main characters are Romeo and Juliet, two young lovers whose families have been feuding. The story is about the two lovers trying to be together, but their families constantly get in the way. For the most part, the actors did fairly well. I especially enjoyed the performance of Romeo, played by Leonard Whiting. He brought Romeo to life but not in an overly exaggerated way. Juliet, played by Olivia Hussey, also did a decent job. However, when it came to trying scenes, she did that same crying voice and pose. It got repetitive towards the end and killed the moments that were supposed to be heart wrenching. The Nurse and Priest did an excellent job, but I expected that from veteran actors. ... One, there s that mild nudity scene that we skipped over, the multiple deaths, and lastly two people commit suicide over each other! That is not a great message to send to kids! Israel s Involvement In The 1967 June War The nature of Israel s involvement in the 1967 June War can be aptly portrayed as both a prime example of pre emptive self defence of the nation and as a rapacious campaign of self interested opportunism. A central tenet of the Israeli position that Arab encroachment posed a danger to the continued existence of Israel is that the short and long term consequences of Israel not acting decisively were disastrous and had to be avoided. The partisan essence of the Six Day War is exemplified through the Arab narrative s empathetic denial that Israel acted defensively and their testimony that the actual aggressor in this conflict was Israel. Primary source documents, particularly declassified intelligence reports, provide a unique prism through which one can deconstruct some of the underlying principles that steer Israel s justifications of war against its foes. It consists of collection of highly interconnected processing elements that convert a set of given inputs to a set of desired outputs. The widely used neural network for intrusion detection is Multilayer Perceptions (MLP).Neural Network based intrusion detection systems are intended to classify the normal and intrusion patterns and the type of the attack. For this purpose, the network is trained on various types of attacks and normal data. One input node is present for each element of the feature vector, and one output node for each class, to which a feature may be assigned, as shown in fig.4. The nodes in the hidden layer are connected to the input nodes and the connection has some initial weight assigned to it. These weights can be modified during the training process. Fig.4 : Neural Network Back propagation rule is the learning algorithm used for MLP which is a gradient descent method and is based on an error function. Error function represents the difference between network s calculated output and desired output. The error is back propagated from one layer to the previous one using back propagation rule.
