In other words feminist SF is an effective and powerful means for feminist visionary developments

VOCs are more complex hydrocarbons than CH4 that are emitted from biogenic and anthropogenic
sources. Biogenic VOCs include alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, aldehydes, etc. Generally, anthropogenic
VOCs are diverse and also include aromatic hydrocarbons, most importantly benzene, toluene,
ethylene and the isomers of xylene as major components (up to 75%).5 To say the least, there is a
wide chemical composition variety of VOCs released to the atmosphere. For my project centered in
the oil and gas industry, I will focus on the aromatic compounds BTEX. Studying the isotopic ratio of
VOCs can provide insight into the photochemical transformation and physical processing of ambient
VOCs.10 Recent isotope studies on VOCs has shown the stable isotopes of C within the compounds is
consistent with the kinetic isotope effect.10 Thus, the fractionation between the emission and the
observation can determine the extent of photochemical processing, other words the photochemical
age.10 The study of isotopes within VOCs has recently developed with Rudolph, et al., 1997 as a
method was introduced to measure VOCs at low mixing ratios (3 to 5 orders of magnitude smaller
than CH4).

pictures of themselves or of something they really like. For example, of flowers, animals or a favorite

to make cupcakes and cookies. This helps the child identify that sugar and chocolate chip cookies
need to be added to the mixture and all the ingredients need to be mixed together in order to create the

Purpose: The purpose of this lab is to determine both the formula and percent water of hydrated
magnesium sulfate.
Background: According to George B. Kauffman of Britannica, a hydrate is any compound containing
water in the form of H2O molecules, usually, but not always, with a definite content of water by
weight. Within this, there are two aspects of the compound; the water of hydration and the anhydrous
salt. When a hydrate is heated, the water of hydration leaves the compound as vapor due to the
unsteady bonds between the water and salt molecules. The anhydrous salt ends up becoming the only
piece that is leftover. From the two, the percent water in a hydrate and the mass of the salt can be
determined from the loss of the water of hydration. As a result, the formula of the compound can be
found because the masses of the salt and the water can be used to determine the mole ratio, which are
both small, whole numbers.

German states was very great. The German s shared a common identity in the form of language race

states from 365 to 39 states made each state more economically and militarily stronger.

majority of middle class liberals wished to instate an elected government with freedom of speech and

not labor unions are actually beneficial to workers or if unions are harmful to the economy. Labor
unions first started popping up as early as 1794 and started catching on in the 1880s with the
introduction of The Knights of Labor. (Staff, http://www.history.com/topics/knights of labor) Unions
grew in response to terrible working conditions, long hours, zero benefits, very low wages, and child
labor. The opponents of labor unions were around even before then. When the industrial age began
and people started moving to the cities, many employers took advantage of the high numbers of
people in search for work and treated them more as numbers and expendable machines than people.
The workers maybe got enough to live on after working for most of the day, everyday, for most of
their lives. Even the children had to work those same hours instead of enjoying their childhood. The
flip side to all of that is that the economy expanded and there were many people who got rich through
that system. Overall, labor unions were extremely beneficial not only to American workers but also to
the American economy because they improved working conditions, eliminated child labor, and
because the more money workers received, the more money they spent and put back into the economy.

Throughout the book The Shallows, by Nicholas Carr, he explains the history of mankind and their
evolution of communications. As time progressed, humans forms of communication advanced from
pictures and hieroglyphics to spoken language to written language. As we created a form of written
language, Johannes Gutenberg was able to invent the world s first printing press. After this invention,
written pieces of information became able to be printed onto paper and bonded together to form a
book. Once books began being made, it allowed readers to begin reading in depth and start to
understand the concept that the book s author is trying to convey. But when the internet was
developed, it had taken a toll on individuals capability of storing long term memory and made humans
into people who are constantly distracted by the internet, lacking attentiveness and focus. The internet
and the way we chose to make use of it made us into shallow people. One of the internet s negative
effect on humans is that we are now incapable of storing long term memory. Before the internet was
incorporated into the daily lives of humans, they developed a habit of deep reading. As a result of deep
