Drama Definition Essay
Most people in the world thinks everyone has drama but themselves, when in reality everyone has
drama including themselves. No not every person goes through the same thing meaning each
persons drama can be different, a lot unspoken. The definition of drama is conflict or contrast of
character and a wise woman once said don t waste time on whats not important. Dont get sucked
into the drama. get on with it: be a big person; be generous of spirit; be the person you d admire .
my interpretation of Hudson s words are if something is going on in your or someone else life
don t tell everyone your or their business, be an adult. If you tell someone something in confidence
you don t expect them to go back and tell everyone, so do the same for someone

Essay On Dental Sealant
The purpose of this research was to prove that the School Based Dental Sealant program could
improve access to Preventive Dental Service. The authors investigated 8145 students in
Framingham, Massachusetts which was considered representative of the 66190 residents living in
west/ southwest of Boston. The study began after applying oral survey to all first and second grade
students in Framingham from 2000 to 2009. In this period of time, all students were screened for
the number of teethfilled, number of teeth with untreated decay, number of teeth extracted, existing
sealants on the first molar, and identification of first molars in need of sealant. And then the dental
officials applied sealant to the molars of those students who had high potential of developing carries.
Although students were identified and informed of the dental care they needed, just 29% of
students in 2003 were willing to receive sealants. In 2004, just 26% of the students were willing to
receive sealants resulting in 52% of students having tooth decay. Over the six year period, the
dental hygienists and nurses of Boston schools applied sealant and gave them 20 to 25 minutes of

The effectiveness of preventive education is moderated by the patient s beliefs and cultural and
social norms. In my home country, in the villages, it is the custom that people expect to lose their
teeth by the time they are old, so it takes a lot of persuasion to get them to believe they can keep
their teeth if they take care of them. Understanding different cultures increases the dental hygienist s
competency and trustworthiness. It is worthwhile being part of the diversity class. Thus, during the
time I study in the dental hygiene program I will have a chance to learn more about cultural
differences in order to improve my communication

Class Struggle Explored in House of the Spirits and Uncle...
The House of the Spirits and Uncle Vanya are two famous international literary works written
within a century of each other. Despite the differences in time periods of which the two works
were written, they both seem to convey the literary theme of class struggle between the poor lower
class and the rich upper class elites. Both elaborate on the feelings of resentment and regret as a
result of the hardships of life around them as demonstrated through hidden historical connections,
literary devices such as parables and themes, and love reminiscences. Since the beginning of
civilization, class struggle has existed not only as a result of economic conditions but societal
conditions as well (Thirteen Notes on Class Struggle for Discussion).... Show more content on

There was the upper elite class of government officials, the middle class, and the serfs. If one was
not in the upper or middle class than life was miserable. A lot of citizens had to make sacrifices
just so that they could continue to live in the meager existence that life afforded. There was no
place to go other than down and no opportunities to better themselves as an individual. Chekhov
lived in a place where people often became depressed, bitter, and filled with enmity (Chekhov
60). Just as individuals in House of the Spirits had to struggle against their government to survive
and increase their standard of living so did the people in Uncle Vanya. Likewise, both Esteban
Trueba and Vanya made sacrifices in their lives for love as a result of the stigma of social class.
Esteban fell in love with Rosa the Beautiful, daughter of a senator. Since he was below her
station and could not possibly have been able to provide for her in the way that she was
accustomed to, he went to work as a mineworker for several years so that he would have enough
money to provide a stable home for her and give her everything she desired (Allende 44). For
years, Trueba worked in a mine he hated and just when he had discovered something in the mine
that would make him rich for life Rosa died. Her death would later cause him

Historical Accuracy of the Film Good Night Good Luck Essay
The Movie good night good luck is incredibly historically accurate. The Movie uses authentic
clips that show McCarthy and many speeches Murrow used. World War ended in 1945 leaving a
broken Europe and a communist block behind. The United States quickly receded back to the red
scare that had existed before WWII. The United States quickly set an anti communist stance and
prepared for a war against the communists. While the war never came some enterprising
individuals placed themselves in powerful positions using the paranoia created. Among these
individuals one came forward and began one of the most controversial historical programs. Joe

Using Edward Murrow s speeches means that the Good Night and Good Luck keeps close to the

would claim any movie made for entertainment must possess some historical flaws Good Night,
and Good Luck defies that rule even having the characters private lives straight. Don Hollenbeck
committed suicide because using gas for the exact reasons the movie listed. State Master
Encyclopedia states He died from natural gas inhalation... several reasons that it might have
been suicide included health problems, a broken marriage, and frequent published attacks by
Jack O Brian (State master Encyclopedia). This event was completely and well illustrated in the
movie. Joe and Shirley Wershba the married couple were really married which was forbidden
through C.B.S. policy. Brooklyn College states, Wershbas had to keep their marriage secret from
their employers. (Brooklyn College). The movie even got Edward Murrow s smoking habits
right. Ed Murrow smoked huge amounts of cigarettes Shirley Wershba stated in her interview.
Murrow was a four pack a day smoker (Brooklyn College). Good Night Good Luck shows the real

Michael Newdow s Pledge Of Allegiance
I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it
stands, one nation, under Congress, the Supreme Court, the Declaration of Independence, our
founding fathers, and the President, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Francis Bellamy wrote the Pledge of Allegiance in 1892 (Baer). He did this in the memory of the
400th anniversary of Columbus discovering America ( The Pledge ). In 1954, Congress added the
words, under God to the pledge; this was done for the differentiation of the United States from the
Soviet Union during the Cold War.
Recently, there has been great controversy about the words under God existing in the nations
Pledge of Allegiance. Michael Newdow, a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Placing God in the pledge was thought of as a term that could be applied to all religions and creeds;
thus, the word God would be describing something more than just material existence.
Building the basis of the United States was the founding fathers of the nation. They were not all
necessarily under a Christian belief; nonetheless, they did wish for the people of the United States
to have morals and values (Williams).
On the contrary, some people do not feel that the nation should follow what the founding fathers
thought and did. Gewertz states, We decide to keep these sayings or traditions in play just because
they were the values of our founding fathers. I have to say that not all the values of our founding
fathers are values I want to embody.
Despite the fact that the founding fathers assumed the existence of an almighty power, they also
protected the right of the people to believe or not. Gewertz does not agree with all ideas of the
founding fathers, but he also says, the phrase under God is in keeping with the intentions of the
Founding Fathers. They anchored their thinking in the idea of a higher law in order to ensure that
all power does not reside in the state. Agreeing with Gewertz, Cameron thinks that the founding
fathers would not be too happy with the way things are going now.
Furthermore, in recognition of the words under God being added to the Pledge of Allegiance,
President Eisenhower told of how thankful he was

Aaron Burr s Influence In American History
Aaron Burr is a person whose influence in American History is rivalled only by our founding
fathers of the time. He had a working relationship with many of the people who helped to forge
the United States of America and he left his own lasting legacy in many places that can still be
seen today. He was revolutionary war hero as well as a leader in the politics of New York City and
Colonial United States. His ambition and motivation to succeed would be legendary, but it was his
methods that would cast doubt and a shadow on his character for history to remember him by.
Aaron Burrs life, successes, and failures are so great that many books have to been written to try
to encompass them in the pages of history. This paper serves to document a few small elements of
his life that displayed his extraordinary leadership and some of this successes and failures that

because arguing with him was ineffective, Burr resorted to ruse. Burr decided to mount his horse,

brigade was to abandon the fort back to Harlem Heights. Colonel Silliman fell for the ruse and
brigade retreated their position. Despite a few small skirmishes with British troops while

Wretchedness In Les Miserables
Victor Hugo s Les Miserables is written as a novelistic insight on tragedy and wretchedness, but
throughout there is maintained an underlining resonate theme. The changing power of actions to
others remains a center point tieing all these many stories and lives together. Compassion changed
Jean Valjean, the mention of her daughter momentarily saved Fantine, and the noble actions of
Valjean changed Javert s perspective. The power of our actions, but specifically the consequences
of unnecessary kindness is a strong theme in Les Miserables.
When Jean Valjeanrobs the priest but is shown compassion in return, he experienced a moment
of large self growth, leading to an instance of prominent theme building. Previously, Valjean was
a bitter ex convict who believed the world a cruel place with no mercy. In fact, his surprise at
being allowed to stay with the Bishop is most telling of this fact and portrayed most evidently
when he calls out, I thought that you would send me away, so I told first off who I am. Oh! the
fine woman who sent me here! I shall have supper! a bed like other people with mattress and
sheets a bed! (pg. 15) He goes on to steal the silver and run into the night; however, he is caught
and returned in the morning. Whilst in the precarious position of attempting to convince the cops
that the treasures were given to him, he is subject to the judgment of the Bishop. Upon hearing the
story given the Bishop simply claims it to be true and shows Valjean one

The Black Church In The Film Red Hook Summer
(Response to Question 2) In studying the Black Church not only as an institution, but as a
transitioning tradition I have come understand the role it plays in the lived Black experience. It is
within the Black Church that one encounters a Divine that affirms and respects Black bodies,
communities, and cultures. And from that affirmation and respect, derives the societal call to
address the systemic oppression and disregard of Blackness. This statement and movement pivotal
to the Black Church tradition is rooted within the intersectional space of prophetic and pastoral

Throughout the duration of the class, I have come to understand Black Church studies as an
examination of the complex meaning of contextual theology in the lived of African American
experience theology rooted within the experience and social realities of the believer. Religious
identity being a force that does not consume the identity of the person, but is shaped and formed by
the cultural reality of the believer. It is within this dynamic that I have come to understand both
traditions that shape my personhood (the tradition of Catholic moral theology and African
American liberation ethics) call me to public resistance of the neoliberal aggressions that harbor the
African American community. As stated within Black Church Studies: An Introduction regarding
liberation, We should not understand liberation in the passive voice...Rather, we should construe
liberation in an active sense, in which the Black community is forever liberating in order that it
may do more and be more than it has done or been before. Within this statement, lies the obligation
I have as a Black Christian to participate in the resistance to the systemic movement(s) of reducing

The Dokdo Dispute Between South Korea and Japan
Dokdo Dispute An enduring dispute over Dokdo Island has proven difficult to resolve. Japan and
Korea have been having an argument over the island for sovereignty ever since 1910 (South). This
island has three names, Dokdo, Takeshima, and Liancourt. Dokdo, a solitary island, is a Korean
name for this island. Takeshima, a Bamboo Island, is what Japanese call it. Both Japan and South
Koreauses historical facts to support their claims for the island (Profile). To what extent is the
dispute between Korea and Japan an issue about resources versus history? South Korea claims that
Liancourt Island was originally their territory ever since Kim Isabu conquered the island
(мљ°м‚°кµ). After the liberation from Japan, South Korean government argues they got the
island back from Japan and got an official approve by Japan in 1696. In 1900, Uldo County
possessed the island, but Japan took over the island when they colonized South Korea. However
after World War 1, Japan returned Dokdo to Korea. On a government website (The Foreign Office
of Dokdo) says, that Dokdo belongs to Korea in terms of history and geography (Profile). Korea
supports their argument with historical contents.
Due to the various evidences from different antique map, Dokdo belongs to Korean territory before
the modern days. Japan, who launched 1904 Russo Japanese Wars, used н•њмќјмќ м •м„њ, a

The Tenant Of Tenants And Landlords
As it often happens, there may come a time when a manager of an apartment building (landlord)
and a tenant argument rises up. These arguments can pop up over many different issues including
lease agreement rights, responsibility for repairs to the property, rent, evictions, and more. It is
unfortunate that not all tenants and landlords arguments can be settled by a simple conversation
between both parties to the lease. While many people in the U.S. are homeowners a great many
other people live as tenants in different types of rental residences. Even though tenants don t
actually own their rental residences they do receive certain rights almost the same in some ways to
ownership rights. Tenants of rental residences and their landlords also have responsibilities to each
other, including residence repairs. Depending on the situation/event, a tenant or a landlord may be
responsible for making repairs to the tenant s rental residence.
Knowledge of state law is extremely important to both tenants and landlords. Managers of apartment
buildings want to run a money making business and protect their investment. Tenants want to be
happy in their rental homes and protect their rights. At the end of the day, managers of apartment
buildings and people who occupy those rooms want to avoid legal hassles when it comes to rent,
deposits, repairs, and other key issues. Let s take a look at Larry s and Roger s situation and
figure out the best course of actions from both points of view.

Mermaid Myths
The mystical maidens of the sea, better known as mermaids, have been featured in everything from
the folklore of the past to the fiction of the present, but what do we really know about them?
Legends of these half human, half fish creatures exist all over the globe, and even if they are merely
legend, they re a pretty fascinating manifestation of what the human imagination can produce. Here
are six things you might not know about these mythical creatures.
Number One: The first mermaid was a goddess of fertility.
The original mermaid came out of ancient Assyria in 1000 B.C. According to legend, Atargatis,
or Derecto, as some scholars refer to her, was a goddess of fertility who fell in love with a young
shepherd. While some sources say the young man impregnated her, others say she accidentally
killed him. Maybe both happened, but either way, she ended up throwing herself in a lake out of
shame and transformed into a human with a long fish tail as a result. She is also said to have
inspired the worshipping of Venus and Aphrodite, the Roman and Greek goddesses of love, beauty,
and fertility. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

arts. Some ancient alien theorists believe he might be historical evidence of an otherworldly

Assisted Suicide Research Paper
After researching assisted suicide I have more questions than when I started. The definition of
assisted suicide is very factual: suicide facilitated by another person, especially a physician, who
organized the logistics of the suicide, as by providing the necessary quantities of a poison (The
definition of assisted suicide2016). After much research I have learned that assisted suicide is an
option one has to make depending on their moral standards, will to live, and how they want to die
rather than a factual process one can follow. Assisted suicide is currently legal in five states:
Oregon, Vermont, Washington, California and Montana (Physician Assisted Suicide Fast Facts
2016). Each state differs in the process toward obtaining physician assisted suicide approval, but all
follow the generic rule that one must have the mental capability to communicate their own
decisions regarding their terminal illness(How to Access and Use Deathwith Dignity Laws 2016). I
question how one can truly make such a decision for themselves if they are in pain from their
terminal illness. In California they have the rule that one must submit two oral requests, each
fifteen days apart, and a written request to the attending physician (Physician Assisted Suicide
Fast Facts 2016). I feel this is a great way of avoiding patients who may be making this decision
based off of impulsive drives and decisions. Other guidelines to being eligible for assisted suicide
includes that one must be eighteen

ONCE BEAUTIFUL RIVER GONE TO THE FISHES?
If I said green, grimy and Adelaide, your mind would instantly race to the contaminated River
Torrens. The River Torrens makes up a 85km stretch of the Murray Darling Basin and is vital to
the water security of Australia. But, yet it used to flow on a seasonal basis through and would
have been used for leisure activities, such as swimming. If you looked at the River Torrens now you
could never tell that s what it was used for, and instead, you can see the unsightly weir restricting
water flow and the murky brown green water plagued with environmental issues.
Two of these such issues are algal blooms, caused by various cyanobacteria, and the introduction of

Aeration pumps have successfully been used in many rivers and dams to lower algal blooms,
they work by reducing nutrient load in the water column and mixing algae deeper into the water
so that they are deprived of light, other methods such as algaecides are also used as these are
toxic to the algae or cyanobacteria, but using algaecides can come with great risks and may
cause more problems. As a part of a redevelopment plan, the city of Adelaide has been looking at
potential ways to remove the algae and rubbish in the river, the plan is to lower the weir so that
there is a flow of water. This means that nutrients will be moving through and not concentrated in
a singular spot, reducing the likeliness of algal blooms. At the moment the most that are being
done on carp is a ban on releasing them back in the waterway, however, many people are working
on an alternative. One of these alternatives is the release of a carp herpesvirus this acts as a
biological agent introduced to the waterway, wiping out large majorities of carp in one swift go.
However, there are issues with this once in the waterway it cannot be removed and carp may
develop resistance and there would have to be a massive clean up undertaken to remove all the dead

no longer be ignored. If they are not resolved immediately, our correctional system will begin to
spiral out of control, which could then result in a negative name being given to the system. Also,
not only will the system continue to suffer, but society as a whole. Resolving these issues will not

Analysis Of Underwater Image For Future Requirement Using
Analysis of underwater image for future requirement using
Wavelet Transform analysis
Abstract:
Optical information is transmitted in the form of digital images is becoming a large method of
communication in the modern age but still the images reach after transmission is often depraved
with noises so the received images demand processing before it can be used in application. Our
motive is that to eliminate the noise from images that is underwater images also improve the
image , underwater images consist of different kinds of noises like random noise, speckle noise,
Gaussian noise, salt and pepper noise, Brownian noise etc. Image De noising is involved
manipulation of images data to produce a visually high quality, images processing of improving the
quality of images by enhancing its features. The underwater image processing area has accepted
appreciable attention within the last decades so using some proper kind of filter it is possible.
The filter we will employ is a bilateral filter for smoothing the images. It is required because of a
lot researchers like forensic department, argeologiest geologist, and underwater marine lab and
underwater inside hydro lab and so on, for their research activity. The underwater images have poor
image condition. First it uses some preprocessing methodology which is to be complete before
wavelet threshold de nosing. Then it will use CLAHE method for image enhancement along with
wavelet transform then we get some adaptive output and the images

History of Terrell State Mental Hospital
Agency and Role Paper
By: Teresa Luna

Ms. Becky Brown
Introduction There are many governmental agencies within the healthcare system. One of most
interesting and heart wrenching agencies is a local governmental agency called Terrell State Mental
Hospital. This agency is well known in the state of Texas for its carefree healthcare. They have a
longstanding relationship with the families of its patients and are a major contributor to the city of
Terrell s financial windfall. They produce over ten million a year for the city of Terrell, which
allows this city to take care of its mental inpatients and make sure they have the best treatment
possible.

Contributions also come from families of the inpatients. The voluntary contributions in this city are
amazing. They really know how to make this city shine. It s like a true Texan to show their winning
attitudes by giving back to the economy and being generous with their money.
Programs Available
This hospital is operated under the direction of the Texas Department of Mental Health and
Mental Retardation. They offer their services to people within a twenty two county, 14,622
square mile area including Bowie, Dallas, and Kaufman Counties. According to the Chamber of
Commerce (2009), their services are offered to children 6 to 12 years of age, adolescence ages 12
to 18 and adults. Programs include acute care, an intensive behavioral program, medical services,
forensic care for inmates of state correctional institutions intermediate care, a cottage program for
adult life skills and a research center.
Local Agencies vs. National and State Agencies The three of these agencies have different aspects
of treatment for disease. The national and state agencies usually focus on locating and making the
public aware of possible outbreaks such as a rising number of cases of encephalitis. They announce
to the public where and when to stay tuned for information on what is the next step for information
on what is the next step or what they need to do to obtain an immunization or where

Proposed Bill Legislation For A Reform Of The Current...
PART A
The Succession (Scotland) Bill passed stage 3 of the parliamentary process on 29 January 2016 and
will be brought into force at a future date. Critically evaluate the extent to which the provisions in
the bill relating to survivorship and forfeiture represent an improvement to the current legal position.
The Succession (Scotland) Bill is currently in the process of being processed in order to alter the
current position of Statute in the Succession (Scotland) Act 1964 and also Trusts (Scotland) Act
1921. The alterations being made are currently disputed as to whether they will create
improvements for the functionality of the law of trusts and successions or that they will cause more
problems for the courts in passing judgements. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Bill introduces a very drastic change to the aforementioned provisions in Section 31 as it
states that despite the circumstances when the presumption of order of death is uncertain then
neither of the parties are to be presumed to have survived the other, ergo diminishing the current
legal stance relating to the general rule that the younger of the parties is presumed to have
survived the elder. However this change has the ability to give rights to beneficiaries in both wills
rather than vesting in the younger of the two deceased persons. For example if an unmarried
couple die and leave wills to each other whom failing their two children then by applying the
proposed rule in the bill then both children will receive from the will rather than the younger of the
deceased.
The idea of the provisions set out in the Succession (Scotland) Act 1964 were to help benefit the
younger person who is presumed to have predeceased the elder so that the possible whom failing
clause can be met rather than the estate falling into partial intestacy. A case which illustrates this
outcome well is the Ross s Judicial Factor v Martin when both died and the common law rule was
applied it was determined that neither would have survived the other. This therefor caused both of
the estates to be treated as

Use Of Irony In The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow
Washington Irving was raised the son of a well off merchant. While growing up, he had the
opportunity to observe people and their customs. Together he used this knowledge along with his
clever use of irony in his literature to describe many varying themes and plots. His ability to
convey these themes is seen in The Legend of Sleepy Hollowwhere we are taught the consequences
of living with greed, gluttony, wrath, sloth, envy, pride, and even lust, the seven deadly sins.
Irving begins his story with a description of the town of Sleepy Hollow. Sleepy Hollow is
described as having A drowsy, dreamy influence... hang[ing] over the land (Irving). By describing
the town as an almost timeless place, he makes it possible to believe his supernatural tale that takes

He enjoyed spending time with the ladies of the town, gossiping, he babysat and performed
housework. In a town full of laborers and farmers, this was definitely seen as an oddity. These
interesting habits lead us to see his major character flaw, his greed. He hungers for information
on the town and its citizens, but this is just the beginning of how far his greed permeates his
being his entire being. While he was satisfied by his wealth... [he was] not proud of it; and
piqued himself upon the hearty abundance, rather than the style in which he lived (Irving). As a
teacher, he makes a decent living, mainly because he lives with his students families for periods
of time, but he wants and desires for more. He actually goes from neighbor to neighbor asking
for more food than supplied by his host family, even though what they provide is enough. This
leads him to the Van Tassel farmland filled with food, in fact, his description is an entire
paragraph of highly detailed information, all of which Crane looks upon with his great green eyes
(Irving); green is significant as it s the symbol of envy which largely goes

Reproductive Rights
Introduction
There is a time bomb that is ready to go off, possibly within our lifetime; this device is constructed
not by terrorist but by an ever increasing world population. In an effort to combat its own
population problem, China has promoted policies with the intent of slowing down the growth rate
of that nation s approximately 1.3 billion people. The population policies that are be ing adopted
raise fundamental issues concerning human rights. Does a government have the right to place
limits on the size of the family through official policies? The answer to that question is No! The

China s official policy concerning the size of the family by its mere existence is a viola tion of

The Peloponnesian As A Noble Empire
Thucydides believes war teaches that although humans are able to strive to a high standard of
civilization conflict will bring human s downfall to chaos. Homer, however, depicts humanity as
often failing to reach their standards, but having empathy in the end. Athens introduces itself in
The History of the Peloponnesian as a noble empire. The Athenians state that We consider that we
are worthy of our power (HPW, 76) to argue that although Athens took power they have done
nothing wrong since they still consider justice in affairs with their subjects instead of using force
(HPW, 80). This impromptu speech of the Athenians in Sparta shows the values of the polis. This
was not a planned speech or even an embassy of the state yet they still spoke of justice,
consideration for the weak, and thoughtful decision making. These are the standards that Athens
held itself to before the war. Thucydides includes this speech to give a reference point for the
following events.
The values of culture, art, and philosophy are communicated through Pericles during the Funeral
Oration. Pericles praises Athens as a model to others and an education to Greece for its
democracy, speeches, equality, and individuality (Discussion, Sept 12). Although Thucydides
includes the speech to demonstrate Athens s superiority over the rest of the Hellenic world, he
juxtaposes it with the plague. During the plague the citizen desecrate the bodies of their loved

Structural Diversity In College Students
Structural diversity is the accumulation of diverse groups of individuals from different
backgrounds openness and probability to become more openly interactive with people of different
groups. Open interaction becomes limited when people begin to segregate themselves based upon
factors such as ethnic groups and socioeconomic status. The acceptance of diversity is very
complex with how the physical and nonverbal interactions allow people to prejudge, yet we have
some individual who hold that open mindset to make that step to convert what they consider an
outsider to someone possible to maintain a relationship with. The life of a high class Ivy League

Should The Past Be Judged
Should the Past be Judged?
We can learn a lot from consulting the past. We learn more about our world, more about our
history, and even more about ourselves. Spanish aphorist George Santayana once said: Those who
cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it (qtd. in Moncur 1). In general terms, this
famous aphorism means that it is important for us to study and learn from history in order to avoid
repeating the same mistakes. However, the standards and values that we use today to judge the
present are much different than they were in the past. What may have seemed like the right thing
to do one hundred years ago might not be viewed the same way today. In her essay At the Buffalo
Bill Museum, June 1988, Jane Tompkins ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cody s Wild West showsweren t just used to preserve the buffalo species; they were used to
depict his actions as an Indian fighter. Buffalo Bill was a plainsman, but the place he might have
held on the picture plane of the West was severely compromised and ultimately lost to the
theatrical pretentions of the Wild West Show (Momaday 638). For Cody, these shows were just a
transformation into an imitation of himself. The great fascination and peril of Cody s life was the
riddle of who he really was. The thing that opposed him, and perhaps betrayed him, was above all
else the mirage of his own identity (Momaday 631). In this essence, it is important for us to judge
the past. Despite his treatment of the Indians, Cody is still an authentic American hero.
Buffalo Bill isn t the only figure in American history to be viewed in this controversial manner.
Consider the actions of Christopher Columbus after discovering America. In 1492, Columbus set
out on a voyage across the Atlantic Ocean in an effort to prove that the world was round. After
spending two months at sea, Columbus finally reached what he thought was India but was actually
Central America. Columbus is credited for being the first to generate European awareness of the
American continents in the Western Hemisphere. His voyages eventually led to the colonization of
the Americas and the development of a modern world. After Columbus, more and more explorers

Air Masses: Types and Characteristics
An air mass is an extremely large body of air with temperatures and moisture characteristics that
are relatively similar in a horizontal direction. Air masses form in air mass source regions where
winds are light or nonexistent. This allows air to stagnate for a long period of time, thus forming
an air mass. Given this, air mass weather characteristics are largely determined by the surface over
which they develop. Air masses can form over land or water, generally falling into (5) categories

Resist Much, Obey Little
Resist Much, Obey Little Kenneth M. Price asserts that Walt Whitman is a foundational figure in
American culture. This statement certainly holds true, as the transcendental father of free verse
gained his place as one of the 19th century s greatest American writers after self publishing his
most renowned work, Leaves of Grass, multiple times, each time with added pieces and revisions
of previous ones. The novel, inclusive of his widely recognized poem Song of Myself , composed
of fifty two sections, is considered an American landmark in literature. The collection offers
profound, universal ideas dealing with significant transcendental concepts such as self love,
nonconformity within a society, the ideas that God exists within everything and beyond, and that
true comprehension of life involves true appreciation of nature. Prior to his rapid gain of literary
recognition, Whitman volunteered as a nurse for the Civil War for three years. His experiences at
the hospital inspired numerous poetry and prose pieces, and he soon became certain that he could
construct more pieces out of his life changing encounters with wounded soldiers. Walt Whitmans
distinct style and technique presented in his work always leads back to the highly significant
transcendental principle of nonconformity.
A major theme that Walt Whitman conveys throughout his work is that experience is more
important than education. One way in which Whitman demonstrates this idea is in When I Heard

When a personВґs birthday comes around does he/she ever wonder what happened on his/her
birthday before he/she was even thought of? Do they ever wonder about the special events that
happened on that day besides their birth? I was astonished to have found out how much had

Turkle persuades her audience by appealing to the emotional side of her audience. Throughout
her essay, Turkle refers to the audience as we or us , in doing so she intends to make her readers
feel included in her research and the argument. This strategy is an effective way to make the
audience feel that the author is specifically addressing them. The inclusion tactic employed
compels the audience to relate and agree with the author. Professor Turkle also utilizes specific
anecdotes from her studies to make her argument more relatable. By providing examples of other
people s experiences to the connection versus conversation argument, a reader is then able to
associate themselves with that same experience. In doing so, that same reader then forms an
emotional connection to the anecdote, as well as, to the argument. Professor Turkle employs one

When you are ready to make your financial investments, you will need to study your finances to
figure out how much to invest which can be done by using a simplified Income Statement.
Your income statement will list all of your incomes, debts, and taxes so that you can properly
assess how much money you have for future investments (Brigham, 2007). It is critical to account
for all of your debts to get a legitimate view of your finances. For instance, do not forget to
account for food, gas, cell phone bill, entertainment, and other non fixed monthly bills. In order to
create an investment plan that you will stick to, you must include reasonable living expenses. If
you do not include items such as entertainment, then long term acceptance of your investment plan
will be dubious at best. Once you have a reasonable income statement created, you will need to
figure out your Debt to Income ratio. This is very easy to create with the information you have
included in your income statement: add your monthly income and payments and then divide your
monthly income by your monthly payments, if your ratio is above fifty percent, than you should
work towards lowering your debt with a goal of less than 25 percent (Brigham, 2007). The lower
your debt ratio, the higher your credit score will be which will allow you to be approved for loans

Who Is Andrew Jackson Justified In The Indian Removal Act
The Indian Removal Act signed by the president of the United States, Andrew Jackson, caused
controversy and the brutal and merciless suffering of the Native Americans during The Trail of
Tears. The beginning of the 1830 s was a time when the Native Americans occupied The Deep
South. This, however, was problematic for the white farmers who were in need of farmland in
order to increase their production of cotton. Nevertheless, Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of
the United States, coerced the Native Americans to relocate their civilizations to lands west of the
Mississippi. A close examination at the tribes that were compelled to move west would show that
they were civilized. Thus, Andrew Jackson was not justified in his policy towards... Show more

Nonetheless, Jackson did not follow up with this promise. Instead, he had decided to deprive the
Natives of their promised and secured land. Hence, Jackson was not justified in his Indian Removal
Act because the Natives had a clear right to their land that was established with the forefathers of
the nation. To add on, the Natives were civilized; however, Jackson had interpreted them as
uncivilized which is stated in Document A, also known as Andrew Jackson First Annual Message,
dated December 8, 1829. In Jackson s message, he states, By this means they have not only been

Spirit Baptism Is About The Restoration Of God s Covenant...
The subject of the baptism of the Holy Spirit has driven a wedge between Pentecostals and
Evangelicals. However, both parties fail to understand the original meaning of spirit baptism.
Therefore, this paper analyzes Lee s argument that Spirit Baptism is about the restoration of God s
covenant community. First, I will examine the articles main point along with the information he
used to support his argument. Next, this paper addresses the author s assumptions that are in his
article. This paper concludes by briefly assessing the article.
Summery
Lee s premise is Luke s use of the baptism of the Holy Spirit refers to people being included into
God s covenant community. He proposes that there is a distinction between baptism and terms used
to describe manifestations of the spirit. In other words, Spirit baptism, and the outward evidence of
the spirit are two different things. Therefore, it is unwise to seek answers from Luke to something
he did not address. To demonstrate this point, Lee brings out examples of spirit baptism in Luke s
writings.
Supporting Evidence. He begins by comparing John the Baptist s baptism in Luke 3:1 22 to Jesus
baptism of the spirit in Acts 2. He proposes that the baptism of John was symbolic while Christ s
baptism ushered in a new era that would redeem humanity from their living damnation. In other
words, John s baptism was an outward representation of a coming future reality while Jesus s
baptism was the manifestation of that

After arriving in Reliant Park and taking an hour to find a parking spot, nothing seems amiss.
Hell, at this point, all you see is signs for Rodeo Houston pointing this way and that way ; it s
honestly a little overbearing at first. The HLSR consists of many events going on simultaneously:
the Rodeo, Livestock shows, Concerts, a BBQ contest, and even a carnival. Upon entering one of
the many buildings in Reliant Park, however, the atmosphere changes completely according to
where you go. The people, smells, and even noises are all different. Being a Texan, though, I
always started at the BBQ contest.
Now the BBQ contest, referred to either as The Cookoff or The world championship Bar B Que

The Grapes Of Wrath By John Steinbeck Essay
John Steinbeck s The Grapes of Wrath and Paul Thomas Anderson s There Will Be Blood both
explore the concept of the human condition and the qualities undermining the circumstances of our
sentient through the gripping lives of the two leading protagonists. John Steinbeck explores Tom
Joad as the main protagonist in The Grapes of Wrathand connects his character with the audience
through his significantly adjuring transformation from ex con to selfless family man throughout the
text. Inversely, Paul Thomas Anderson explores Daniel Plainview as the main protagonist in There
Will Be Blood and connects his character with the audience through unquestionable toughness and a
considerable, enthralling transformation from imposing businessman to selfish psychopath.
Similarly, these two texts are based in times of hardship, The Grapes of Wrath is fixed during the
great depression and There Will Be Blood is set during the early 1900 s when mining was difficult.
The two authors use the hardships of their main protagonist to demonstrate the different ways in
which humans can become affected by the pathway chosen regarding feeling and emotion. Through
the complexity of the two main protagonists, the authors make direct opinions toward the human
condition and the ability to change persona through risky decisions and family influence.
The opening few scenes in each text describes the persona of each main protagonist and perfectly
represents the qualities they already posses. Anderson

Lance Armstrong Accomplishments
Lance Armstrong is one of the best cyclist there is. He was in many races over the world. He has
won many awards in many races. He also had many companies sponsoring him. But all that was
taken away and his reputation was ruined when he was caught doping.
One of his first awards was the La FlГЁche Wallonne in 1996. Another one of his great
accomplishments was the sports illustrated sports person of the year which he won on 2002. He
has also won the best comeback athlete espy award. And another award was when for the united
states national road race championships. He has won many more awards for other things but all
that was taken away for cheating by doping. He lost all of his awards and his wins were given to
the person in second place. It was not fair that he cheated in the races by doping hi way to the
top, so i think he should not be given a second chance at trying to win the races. If he wanted to
win the race and be awarded he should of not of cheated. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

He had many a very successful career and been awarded with many awards and honor. All the
awards and honor that was given to him was because he won races like clasica de san sebastian,
best male athlete aspy three years in a row, kids choice award for favorite athlete. But all of this
honor and awards that was given to him was not deserved. Cause he had to cheat his way into
glory and honor by doping to be the best. I don t think he deserves any of these awards because he
cheated his way to the top when other athletes tried and didn t

Rhetorical Devices In Yes All Men
Charles M. Blow was born on August 11, 1970. He was raised in Gibsland, Louisiana before later
moving to Park Slope, Brooklyn to raise his own family as a single father of three kids. Blow
graduated from Grambling State University, and he became a graphics editor for the New York
Times in 1994. He also worked as a graphic director and art director at both National Geographic
and the Times. Blowis currently a visual Op Ed columnist who works for the New York Times. In
his articles, Blow enjoys writing about his own opinions on different subjects. For instance, in his
articles, Yes, All Men and Up from Pain Blow uses appeal to emotion to express his feeling toward
the subject to manipulate the reader to agree with him. Another rhetorical... Show more content on

In the article: Yes, All Men , Blow tells a story about a conversation between himself and his son
about sexism. He agrees with his son when he said, I believe it s very important for everyone to
be a feminist. He goes into more detail later about how his son was never aware of all the
privileges he has as a male compared to his sister, mother, and girlfriend. In this instance, Blow
uses a personal story to show the reader how times are changing and that peoples opinions on
gender equality and sexism must change too. In the second article: Up from Pain , Blow tells
the readers a story about his life. He explains how he was sexually assaulted by his cousin, thus
changing his life forever by him figuring out that he was bisexual. Blow explains, I had spent my
whole life trying to fit in, but it would take the rest of my life to realize that some men are just
meant to stand out. This article goes on explaining how it is ok to be bisexual and that society must
realize this too and start treating bisexuals with more respect. In this instance, Blow uses this
personal story to have people understand that bisexuals are no different than straight people, and
that you should not be ashamed if you are not

Comparative Textual Analysis of Two Articles
The key to being able to differentiate one newspaper from another is often, if not always, the way
the latter presents its news, both aesthetically and stylistically. These aspects have gradually
divided newspapers into two distinct categories: broadsheets and tabloids. The former being a
more neutral and respected type and the latter a newspaper for more or less entertainment purposes
only. This can be well observed in two specific articles that both report on political campaigns.
The first one, an extract from The New Vision, a pro government Ugandan publication, recounts
presidential candidate Paddy Bitama s arrival to the official nomination as an election candidate.
The article vaguely follows Bitama („of Amarula Family an ... Show more content on

The article also uses a lot of local expressions such as „bodaboda , a word which has been given
the meaning of a bicycle taxi .
The second article however, recounts the story of Nixon s involvement in a bugging scandal that
eventually led to his resignation as U.S. president. Another basic aspect that differentiates this
newspaper article from the Ugandan one is, first of all, that it is not as recent (seeing as the latter
was published in 2010 and the former in 1972) and seems to be a bit more serious and longer in
length. Nonetheless, this article, entitled „GOP security aide among 5 arrested in bugging affair
still has some emotive and vague language: „We deplore action of this kind in or our of politics
and „the mystery deepens , along with a few euphemisms such as „the bugging incident .
From this one will be able to conclude that even this article is not completely un biased. In fact, it
is, additionally, rather informal. This is especially obvious when the journalists decide to use GOP,
a nickname for the Republican Party and an abbreviation of „Grand Old Party , instead of its
official name.
Finally, the short paragraphs that make the article a whole are crowded with various quotes, and
even mention the rather irrelevant age of a certain CIA employee James W. McCord. Even though
these aspects are, as

What are the strengths, limitations and challenges of ethical and socially responsible business
practice? Discuss with reference to case studies of your choice (1200 1500 words).
This essay will analyse the strengths, limitations and challenges of ethical and socially responsible
business practice. The purpose of this essay is to identify the advantages and limitations of
following business ethics and act socially responsible in business operations. In order to help me
analyse those further I will use the case study from food industry McDonald s corporation.
Firstly, I would like to explain what Corporate Social Responsibility is. It is a company s sense of
responsibility towards the community and environment (both ecological and ... Show more content

In spite of all advantages mention earlier about ethically and socially responsible business practice,
it also has disadvantages, limitation and challenges. The most common and obvious limitation
would be the cost that comes together with every investment a business does in order to meet all
publicity s requirements, for instance setting up Ronald McDonald House Charities. Every business
has a goal which is at the top of their goal list and it is to be profitable. What is more, it is
challenging to maintain the publicity s and stakeholders satisfaction when investing into the
society, employees and the environment.
Another limit to ethical behaviour at McDonald s might be training and discipline within the
company. For example, if an experienced employee was selected for a course or was offered a
promotion, another employee might find it unfair and discriminative. Similar situation could
possibly happen when it comes to discipline, for example a manager would treat employees
making the same mistake differently and favour one person more than another. If any of the
employees made an official complaint about any of those, it could lead to publicity s hesitation and
bad relations between employees within the company and its suppliers.
Organisations might be pushed by the government to accept agreed practices, nonetheless being
unethical, by ignoring individual choices or actions, might

  • 3. Essay On Dental Sealant The purpose of this research was to prove that the School Based Dental Sealant program could improve access to Preventive Dental Service. The authors investigated 8145 students in Framingham, Massachusetts which was considered representative of the 66190 residents living in west/ southwest of Boston. The study began after applying oral survey to all first and second grade students in Framingham from 2000 to 2009. In this period of time, all students were screened for the number of teethfilled, number of teeth with untreated decay, number of teeth extracted, existing sealants on the first molar, and identification of first molars in need of sealant. And then the dental officials applied sealant to the molars of those students who had high potential of developing carries. Although students were identified and informed of the dental care they needed, just 29% of students in 2003 were willing to receive sealants. In 2004, just 26% of the students were willing to receive sealants resulting in 52% of students having tooth decay. Despite the differences in time periods of which the two works were written, they both seem to convey the literary theme of class struggle between the poor lower class and the rich upper class elites. Both elaborate on the feelings of resentment and regret as a result of the hardships of life around them as demonstrated through hidden historical connections, literary devices such as parables and themes, and love reminiscences. Since the beginning of civilization, class struggle has existed not only as a result of economic conditions but societal conditions as well (Thirteen Notes on Class Struggle for Discussion).... A lot of citizens had to make sacrifices just so that they could continue to live in the meager existence that life afforded. There was no place to go other than down and no opportunities to better themselves as an individual. Chekhov lived in a place where people often became depressed, bitter, and filled with enmity (Chekhov 60). Just as individuals in House of the Spirits had to struggle against their government to survive and increase their standard of living so did the people in Uncle Vanya. Likewise, both Esteban Trueba and Vanya made sacrifices in their lives for love as a result of the stigma of social class. Esteban fell in love with Rosa the Beautiful, daughter of a senator. Since he was below her station and could not possibly have been able to provide for her in the way that she was accustomed to, he went to work as a mineworker for several years so that he would have enough money to provide a stable home for her and give her everything she desired (Allende 44). Placing God in the pledge was thought of as a term that could be applied to all religions and creeds; thus, the word God would be describing something more than just material existence. Building the basis of the United States was the founding fathers of the nation. They were not all necessarily under a Christian belief; nonetheless, they did wish for the people of the United States to have morals and values (Williams). On the contrary, some people do not feel that the nation should follow what the founding fathers thought and did. Gewertz states, We decide to keep these sayings or traditions in play just because they were the values of our founding fathers. The changing power of actions to others remains a center point tieing all these many stories and lives together. Compassion changed Jean Valjean, the mention of her daughter momentarily saved Fantine, and the noble actions of Valjean changed Javert s perspective. The power of our actions, but specifically the consequences of unnecessary kindness is a strong theme in Les Miserables. When Jean Valjeanrobs the priest but is shown compassion in return, he experienced a moment of large self growth, leading to an instance of prominent theme building. Previously, Valjean was a bitter ex convict who believed the world a cruel place with no mercy. In fact, his surprise at being allowed to stay with the Bishop is most telling of this fact and portrayed most evidently when he calls out, I thought that you would send me away, so I told first off who I am. • 11. The Dokdo Dispute Between South Korea and Japan Dokdo Dispute An enduring dispute over Dokdo Island has proven difficult to resolve. Japan and Korea have been having an argument over the island for sovereignty ever since 1910 (South). This island has three names, Dokdo, Takeshima, and Liancourt. Dokdo, a solitary island, is a Korean name for this island. Takeshima, a Bamboo Island, is what Japanese call it. Both Japan and South Koreauses historical facts to support their claims for the island (Profile). To what extent is the dispute between Korea and Japan an issue about resources versus history? South Korea claims that Liancourt Island was originally their territory ever since Kim Isabu conquered the island (мљ°м‚°кµ). After the liberation from Japan, South Korean government argues they got the island back from Japan and got an official approve by Japan in 1696. These arguments can pop up over many different issues including lease agreement rights, responsibility for repairs to the property, rent, evictions, and more. It is unfortunate that not all tenants and landlords arguments can be settled by a simple conversation between both parties to the lease. While many people in the U.S. are homeowners a great many other people live as tenants in different types of rental residences. Even though tenants don t actually own their rental residences they do receive certain rights almost the same in some ways to ownership rights. Tenants of rental residences and their landlords also have responsibilities to each other, including residence repairs. Depending on the situation/event, a tenant or a landlord may be responsible for making repairs to the tenant s rental residence. Knowledge of state law is extremely important to both tenants and landlords. Managers of apartment buildings want to run a money making business and protect their investment. Tenants want to be happy in their rental homes and protect their rights. At the end of the day, managers of apartment buildings and people who occupy those rooms want to avoid legal hassles when it comes to rent, deposits, repairs, and other key issues. Mermaid Myths The mystical maidens of the sea, better known as mermaids, have been featured in everything from the folklore of the past to the fiction of the present, but what do we really know about them? Here are six things you might not know about these mythical creatures. Number One: The first mermaid was a goddess of fertility. The original mermaid came out of ancient Assyria in 1000 B.C. According to legend, Atargatis, or Derecto, as some scholars refer to her, was a goddess of fertility who fell in love with a young shepherd. While some sources say the young man impregnated her, others say she accidentally killed him. The definition of assisted suicide is very factual: suicide facilitated by another person, especially a physician, who organized the logistics of the suicide, as by providing the necessary quantities of a poison (The definition of assisted suicide2016). After much research I have learned that assisted suicide is an option one has to make depending on their moral standards, will to live, and how they want to die rather than a factual process one can follow. Assisted suicide is currently legal in five states: Oregon, Vermont, Washington, California and Montana (Physician Assisted Suicide Fast Facts 2016). Each state differs in the process toward obtaining physician assisted suicide approval, but all follow the generic rule that one must have the mental capability to communicate their own decisions regarding their terminal illness(How to Access and Use Deathwith Dignity Laws 2016). I question how one can truly make such a decision for themselves if they are in pain from their terminal illness. In California they have the rule that one must submit two oral requests, each fifteen days apart, and a written request to the attending physician (Physician Assisted Suicide Fast Facts 2016). As a part of a redevelopment plan, the city of Adelaide has been looking at potential ways to remove the algae and rubbish in the river, the plan is to lower the weir so that there is a flow of water. Also, not only will the system continue to suffer, but society as a whole. Resolving these issues will not only benefit the former, current and future offenders, but all the employees of the criminal justice system as well. Critically evaluate the extent to which the provisions in the bill relating to survivorship and forfeiture represent an improvement to the current legal position. The Succession (Scotland) Bill is currently in the process of being processed in order to alter the current position of Statute in the Succession (Scotland) Act 1964 and also Trusts (Scotland) Act 1921. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Bill introduces a very drastic change to the aforementioned provisions in Section 31 as it states that despite the circumstances when the presumption of order of death is uncertain then neither of the parties are to be presumed to have survived the other, ergo diminishing the current legal stance relating to the general rule that the younger of the parties is presumed to have survived the elder. However this change has the ability to give rights to beneficiaries in both wills rather than vesting in the younger of the two deceased persons. For example if an unmarried couple die and leave wills to each other whom failing their two children then by applying the proposed rule in the bill then both children will receive from the will rather than the younger of the deceased. The idea of the provisions set out in the Succession (Scotland) Act 1964 were to help benefit the younger person who is presumed to have predeceased the elder so that the possible whom failing clause can be met rather than the estate falling into partial intestacy. A case which illustrates this outcome well is the Ross s Judicial Factor v Martin when both died and the common law rule was applied it was determined that neither would have survived the other. This therefor caused both of the estates to be treated as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Spanish aphorist George Santayana once said: Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it (qtd. in Moncur 1). In general terms, this famous aphorism means that it is important for us to study and learn from history in order to avoid repeating the same mistakes. However, the standards and values that we use today to judge the present are much different than they were in the past. What may have seemed like the right thing to do one hundred years ago might not be viewed the same way today. In her essay At the Buffalo Bill Museum, June 1988, Jane Tompkins ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cody s Wild West showsweren t just used to preserve the buffalo species; they were used to depict his actions as an Indian fighter. Buffalo Bill was a plainsman, but the place he might have held on the picture plane of the West was severely compromised and ultimately lost to the theatrical pretentions of the Wild West Show (Momaday 638). For Cody, these shows were just a transformation into an imitation of himself. The great fascination and peril of Cody s life was the riddle of who he really was. The thing that opposed him, and perhaps betrayed him, was above all else the mirage of his own identity (Momaday 631). In this essence, it is important for us to judge the past. Despite his treatment of the Indians, Cody is still an authentic American hero. Buffalo Bill isn t the only figure in American history to be viewed in this controversial manner. Consider the actions of Christopher Columbus after discovering America. In 1492, Columbus set out on a voyage across the Atlantic Ocean in an effort to prove that the world was round. After spending two months at sea, Columbus finally reached what he thought was India but was actually Central America. Columbus is credited for being the first to generate European awareness of the American continents in the Western Hemisphere. • 32. Resist Much, Obey Little Resist Much, Obey Little Kenneth M. Price asserts that Walt Whitman is a foundational figure in American culture. This statement certainly holds true, as the transcendental father of free verse gained his place as one of the 19th century s greatest American writers after self publishing his most renowned work, Leaves of Grass, multiple times, each time with added pieces and revisions of previous ones. The novel, inclusive of his widely recognized poem Song of Myself , composed of fifty two sections, is considered an American landmark in literature. The collection offers profound, universal ideas dealing with significant transcendental concepts such as self love, nonconformity within a society, the ideas that God exists within everything and beyond, and that true comprehension of life involves true appreciation of nature. Prior to his rapid gain of literary recognition, Whitman volunteered as a nurse for the Civil War for three years. His experiences at the hospital inspired numerous poetry and prose pieces, and he soon became certain that he could construct more pieces out of his life changing encounters with wounded soldiers. Walt Whitmans distinct style and technique presented in his work always leads back to the highly significant transcendental principle of nonconformity. It is critical to account for all of your debts to get a legitimate view of your finances. For instance, do not forget to account for food, gas, cell phone bill, entertainment, and other non fixed monthly bills. In order to create an investment plan that you will stick to, you must include reasonable living expenses. First, I will examine the articles main point along with the information he used to support his argument. Next, this paper addresses the author s assumptions that are in his article. This paper concludes by briefly assessing the article. Summery Lee s premise is Luke s use of the baptism of the Holy Spirit refers to people being included into God s covenant community. He proposes that there is a distinction between baptism and terms used to describe manifestations of the spirit. In other words, Spirit baptism, and the outward evidence of the spirit are two different things. Therefore, it is unwise to seek answers from Luke to something he did not address. To demonstrate this point, Lee brings out examples of spirit baptism in Luke s writings. Supporting Evidence. He begins by comparing John the Baptist s baptism in Luke 3:1 22 to Jesus baptism of the spirit in Acts 2. The HLSR is held at Reliant Parkfor three weeks during March, and since parking is always a hassle, Reliant Park also happens to have one of the largest parking lots available as well. After arriving in Reliant Park and taking an hour to find a parking spot, nothing seems amiss. Hell, at this point, all you see is signs for Rodeo Houston pointing this way and that way ; it s honestly a little overbearing at first. The HLSR consists of many events going on simultaneously: the Rodeo, Livestock shows, Concerts, a BBQ contest, and even a carnival. Upon entering one of the many buildings in Reliant Park, however, the atmosphere changes completely according to where you go. The people, smells, and even noises are all different. Being a Texan, though, I always started at the BBQ contest. Now the BBQ contest, referred to either as The Cookoff or The world championship Bar B Que ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. Comparative Textual Analysis of Two Articles The key to being able to differentiate one newspaper from another is often, if not always, the way the latter presents its news, both aesthetically and stylistically. These aspects have gradually divided newspapers into two distinct categories: broadsheets and tabloids. The former being a more neutral and respected type and the latter a newspaper for more or less entertainment purposes only. This can be well observed in two specific articles that both report on political campaigns. The first one, an extract from The New Vision, a pro government Ugandan publication, recounts presidential candidate Paddy Bitama s arrival to the official nomination as an election candidate. The article vaguely follows Bitama („of Amarula Family an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The article also uses a lot of local expressions such as „bodaboda , a word which has been given the meaning of a bicycle taxi . The second article however, recounts the story of Nixon s involvement in a bugging scandal that eventually led to his resignation as U.S. president. Another basic aspect that differentiates this newspaper article from the Ugandan one is, first of all, that it is not as recent (seeing as the latter was published in 2010 and the former in 1972) and seems to be a bit more serious and longer in length. Nonetheless, this article, entitled „GOP security aide among 5 arrested in bugging affair still has some emotive and vague language: „We deplore action of this kind in or our of politics and „the mystery deepens , along with a few euphemisms such as „the bugging incident . From this one will be able to conclude that even this article is not completely un biased. In fact, it is, additionally, rather informal. This is especially obvious when the journalists decide to use GOP, a nickname for the Republican Party and an abbreviation of „Grand Old Party , instead of its official name. Finally, the short paragraphs that make the article a whole are crowded with various quotes, and even mention the rather irrelevant age of a certain CIA employee James W. McCord. In spite of all advantages mention earlier about ethically and socially responsible business practice, it also has disadvantages, limitation and challenges. The most common and obvious limitation would be the cost that comes together with every investment a business does in order to meet all publicity s requirements, for instance setting up Ronald McDonald House Charities. Every business has a goal which is at the top of their goal list and it is to be profitable. What is more, it is challenging to maintain the publicity s and stakeholders satisfaction when investing into the society, employees and the environment. Another limit to ethical behaviour at McDonald s might be training and discipline within the company. For example, if an experienced employee was selected for a course or was offered a promotion, another employee might find it unfair and discriminative. Similar situation could possibly happen when it comes to discipline, for example a manager would treat employees making the same mistake differently and favour one person more than another. If any of the employees made an official complaint about any of those, it could lead to publicity s hesitation and bad relations between employees within the company and its suppliers. Organisations might be pushed by the government to accept agreed practices, nonetheless being unethical, by ignoring individual choices or actions, might ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
