The World Bank Group And The Board Of Governors Of The...
In September 23, 2003, the World Bank Group and the Board of Governors of the International
Monetary Fund (IMF) meet in Dubai to discuss the work of their respective institutions in
international monetary and development issues. This meeting was worth its high expense when the
discussion were centered on these institutions own reform rather than on how they should intervene in
developing countries.
An examination of the record of IMF and World Bank performance in developing countries shows
that, far from being the solution to global economic instability and poverty, these two international
institutions are a major problem. For one thing, their lending practice deters growth because the
money they loan removes incentives for governments to advance economic freedom, and breeds
corruption. For these reasons, the vast majority of recipient countries have been unable to develop
fully after depending on these institutions for over 40 years.
In addition the Bush Administration needed to support reform of these institutions lending practices.
To that end, the Administration use the work of the congressionally mandated International Financial
Institutions Advisory Commission (IFIAC), chaired by Allan H. Meltzer of Carnegie Mellon
University, that establish a solid framework for reforming the IMF and the World Bank. The reforms
maximize their effectiveness, increase accountability for their lending decisions, and limit their
harmful influence in the developing world.

Circumstantial Evidence Analysis
Evidence is every considerable type of proof legally presented at a trial it also must be approved by a
judge. The reason why we use evidence is to help convince the judge or jury of supposed facts that
relate to the case. Witnesses who testify, an expert who has information on certain fields of work,
paperwork, records, photos etc. are all types of evidence that could be used in a case. Circumstantial
evidence is evidence that aims to come to a conclusion by stating the cause while logically trying to
prove the facts. The arguments and statements lawyers present to the judge and a judge who wants to
make a statement can be ruled with an objection therefore it is not consider evidence. During a
testimony a witness must swear under oath to say nothing but the truth that way her testimony can be
considered the truth since they no way of know if it is the truth or not. If they are caught in a lie
consequences will be brought down on the witness and in some cases it can completely throw out the
case. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It has to have the potential to hold in court and must be relevant to the case, can not be immaterial, or

evidence which is not relevant to the case. On certain occasions a person may try to present certain
evidence that has nothing to do with the case or determining a fact. For example, gory details to prove
support a point or fact may possibly be irrelevant, so it may outweigh its value. Criminal cases that the
courts handle are usually much more strict on letting the jury hear such inappropriate details because
of the possibility in undue prejudice. The court only wants the jury to hear the passive aggressive
version of facts in cases especially those that involved

Animas River Environmental Effects
Recently, a contractor working for the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) unintentionally
released 3 million gallons of toxic mine waste into the Animas River in the Mountain West state of
Colorado. Today, people in the US are debating the efficacy of the EPA (the right wing is using the
spill as anti government propaganda) and the toxic aftermath the spill will undoubtedly have on local
economies, communities and ecosystems. So far, the spill has contaminated the Animas River, San
Juan River, and the Colorado River in Utah. In addition, several water supply systems have been
affected by the spill. While the river system mostly serves farming communities, the disaster also
poses a risk to the drinking water of 17, 000 people living ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their history is all but erased, their lives destroyed in the pursuit of material wealth (resource
extraction). Superficial statues and hollow tributes now stand where vibrant human communities once
lived for millennia. The US Government, unrecognized by vast portions of Native Americans, hence
illegitimate in their eyes, ruthlessly imposed treaties, laws, cultural mandates and regulations on a
population who never asked for such measures. There was resistance, but it was stamped out. Thus,
the bloody history of European settlement is never far from the minds of indigenous people living in
the US. It would be wise to recall the Sand Creek massacre of 1864, where a 700 man force of
Colorado Territory militia attacked and destroyed a peaceful village of Cheyenne and Arapaho in
southeastern Colorado Territory, killing and mutilating an estimated 70 163 Indians, about two thirds
of whom were women and children. Indeed, from Sand Creek to My Lai, from Kandahar to Fallujah,
US state sponsored terror always produces the same results: massacres, mutilated bodies and

The Theory Of Behaviorism Operant Conditioning
Abstract Behaviorism takes on many forms, B.F. Skinner liked to call his form of behaviorism
Operant Conditioning. He would rather study observable behavior rather than internal mental events.
He felt that was the best way to see how one may react to a particular stimuli and how one would
handle the situation. Skinner believed that if a behavior is reinforced the behavior will continue. This
had a two sided effect. If the bad behavior was reinforced the bad behavior would continue. Such as
the good behavior, if it is reinforced and rewarded, the good behavior will continue. Albert Bandura is
another theorist that I find interesting and directly related to my area of study. Unlike Skinner, he
believed that people learned by watching others. His theory and Skinners theories are different but
work together, you could not have operant conditioning unless you have cognitive process.
The theorists that I chose are B.F. Skinner and Albert Bandura, both of them have unique ideas on how
the human being thinks, reacts, feels and learns. Skinner (1936) wrote The Behavior of Organisms and
introduced the concepts of operant conditioning and shaping. Albert Bandura (1963) wrote a book
called the Social Leaning Theory and Personality development which combines both cognitive and
behavioral frameworks McLeod, 2011). Bandura believed that children watch others to figure out how
they are to behave and react in certain situations.
McLeod (2011) concludes that
Bandura believes

Inclusion Of Inclusion For Students With Disabilities Essay
It is imperative that inclusion techniques be implemented in the classroom. Studies and research show
that implementing inclusion techniques in the classroom have immense positive impacts on all
students. As a result of these findings there is a rise in legislation being passed that fosters inclusion on
a broader scale. Furthermore, it is necessary to apply inclusion techniques from a young age in order
to ensure the greatest success. In my opinion the application of inclusion technique s in classrooms is
becoming exceedingly important to the success of students with disabilities. According to the
textbook, Exceptional Lives, Special Education in Today s Schools, inclusion is defined as ...the
participation of students with disabilities alongside their non disabled peers in academic,
extracurricular, and other school activities (Turnbull 42). It is important to note that IDEA refers to
inclusion in the terms of a least restrictive learning environment. IDEA s perception of a least
restrictive environment promotes inclusion in general education classrooms. The law states that, each
state must establish procedures to assure that, to the maximum extent appropriate, children with
disabilities...are educated with children who are not disabled, and special classes, separate schooling,
or other removal of children with disabilities from the regular educational environment occurs only
when the nature or severity of the disability of a child is such that education in regular

Disney Of The Walt Disney Company
As has been noted, Disney World is one of the biggest companies in the world. As long as we have
this big company, we may have uncountable numbers. It is a huge brand and it has many fans. Even
there are many advantages or disadvantages from having it, they still have their main goal, which is
making profits. According to Disney s corporate website, the mission of the Walt Disney Company is
to be one of the world s famous creators and producers of enjoyment and data. Utilizing our container
of brands to vary our products, we look to innovative and gainful enjoyment experiences and connect
items in the world, and to develop the most imaginative creations. Walt, who is the owner of the
company, and Roy, who is Walt s assistant, admitted that he got to stay one step ahead of the
competition in order to be the most innovative and creative animation company of all time (1). This
company makes efforts that made it unmatchable in market. It is obvious that Disney is unmatchable
because of its profits that they have been making since they started. What is the most remarkable thing
that they made and how much money do they make?
These are good questions and we may take a while to answer, but let s start with its role business
segments. There are four business segments, which are enhancing its original business model as studio
creating animated shorts and full length features Disney consumer products, studio entertainment,
media network, and parks and resorts. Each one of these is

Based on these standards, the 3 current world powers are Russia, China, and the United States; the
United States being number 1 and Russia being third. These 3 countries widely affect everything. If
the U.S. market or China s import export kingdom crumbled, other countries could fall into serious
problems.
Throughout time, world powers have made their moves, and many others have followed. On October
4, 1957, Russia launched the Soviet R 7 intercontinental ballistic missile into space. This began the
space race. Many other countries started researching, and building satellites and shuttles for space
exploration, but the main competition was between the U.S. and Russia. Russia put many countries in

interfere in conflict if they have the right legal footing.

Advertising Old Spice Opens With Isaiah Mustafa
The commercial Questions advertising Old Spice opens with Isaiah Mustafa also known as the man
your man can smell like in nothing but a towel. He starts by addressing the women of the world with a
suggestive hello ladies and continuing to further question women on what they want in a man. It then
uses the power of rhetorical strategies such as ethos and pathos, with humor and gender stereotypes to
connect with the target audience and convince them Old Spice is the product for them. The narrator
initially addresses women appealing to their desire to make their man more attractive, while targeting
men who want to be more attractive to women. Old Spice commercials offer little logic or statistics to
back their product, however their use of sex appeal and humor play into peoples emotions perhaps
making them feel insecure which has proven to be highly effective in selling this brand.
As the commercial asks, so ladies should your man smell like an Old Spice man? Well who wouldn t
want an adventurous guy that seems to be the perfect man? The use of ethos to establish a strong
character in this commercial is overwhelming; Isaiah himself is a former NFL player (Mustafa).
Mustafa has defining attributes like chiseled abs and broad shoulders; he has a deep voice and a
bearded face helping him to truly embody the image of a real masculine man. He is both physically fit
and attractive embodying the image every man strives to be by establishing himself as a perfect man

Hidden Meaning Of Jack From Lord Of The Flies

Character Analysis Hidden meaning can be found in many different places. They can be in poems,
novels, murals, paintings, and even in everyday life. Hidden meanings are there to challenge the
reader, to make them think and really analyze the work. In the case of the novel The Lord of The Flies,
by William Golding, the hidden meaning comes to us in the form many of his characters. One of them
is Jack. Jack started off like everyone else equal with power or a share of the things on the island.
Later on he takes a group of the kids. Now there are two groups of the kids. Showing that sooner or
later a group may later split into two groups and people will have to chose a side. Jack lead his ...

Ralph is a good leader but most of the boys follow Jacks lead because of a few reasonings and one of
them being that he can hunt and he provided them with food. Even though it was uncooked meat at
least it was protein that needed. At this point in the book William Golding has been foreshadowing
how the boys split into two tribes . One of them being Ralph and the other of course being Jack. Ralph
is the nice and kind leader who wants to get off the island. Jack is the type of leader who rules with
fear and power. His power as being able to provide meat for his people. A fire! Make a faire! At once
half the boys were on their feet. Jack clamored among them, the conch forgotten. Come on! Follow
me! The Space under the palm trees was full of noise and movement. Ralph Was on his feet too,
shouting for quiet, but no one heard him. All at once the crowd swayed toward the island and was
gone following Jack. (William Golding) Now right he is a prime example of how the kids don t listen
to Ralph anymore and they are turning towards Jack as their main leader. Jack has made the boys think
that violence and harm is a way to live. They like it because to them it is fun, daring, and most of all it
can be adventurous. This to the boys is way more fun then making up rules and following them like
how Raph has been doing. There are a few boys that

Noah And The Great Wifi Outage Analysis
Noah and the Great Wifi Outage
Written and illustrated by: Kylie Kaminski
Noah was a man who owned no tablet, no cellphone, and no electronics of any sort. Noah paid much
attention to the world around him: helping the animals, the homeless, and the earth. Everyone else was
glued to their electronics, paying no attention to the beautiful world God created around them. People
walked down the streets, looking down at their smartphones and tablets, and had no interaction with
the people around them. Everyone was so worried about their social media and online worlds, they
forgot about the real world around them. One day while God was looking over Earth, watching people
stare at their phones, completely oblivious to the beauty and humanity surrounding them, He decided
enough was enough. God spoke to Noah and said, I will destroy this dreadful world of electronics, and
only you will be able to restore humanity, Noah.
God warned Noah that a great lightning storm would come and destroy all the electronics and WiFi on
Earth. God told Noah, You must go out into the busy streets and warn others of this great storm
coming. You must prepare to teach everyone how to live in a world without electronics, for they have

In the vast mountains of Southwestern Pennsylvania lies Fallingwater; an architectural phenomenon
nestled among the rocks of the Laurel Highlands. The house that was supposed to give the residents a

While there are many facets to international taxation, recent research has looked to the use of OFC s
as a conduit for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), likely in response to the increasing cross border
flow of FDI. This paper steps away from the moral and political rhetoric surrounding this debate, and
looks to the economic effects of OFC s on the parties involved. More particularly, this paper begins by
briefly discussing why low tax jurisdictions and multi national corporations engage in this behavior.
After demonstrating the generally positive benefits of outward FDI, this paper analyzes the
contentious effects of using OFC s as a conduit for outward FDI. In lieu of a weak patriotic cheer, this
paper focuses primarily on the benefits that OFC s may hold for Canada. I conclude that the
reasonable use of transparent OFC s increases the competitiveness of Canadian corporations, leading
to more Canadian jobs, capital creation and domestic tax revenue. Furthermore, increased dialogue
with OFC s can result in legal, social and financial innovations in Canada. Lastly, this increased
dialogue would be an ideal role for the federal government, as described during our class discussions.
In light of this conclusion, I advocate for increased dialogue between Canada and OFC s.

Factors Of African American Migration Case Study
I agree with the six factors that Anderson used to describe how the migration of African Americans
differed from the migration of other ethnic groups that migrated to America over the course of the
centuries. The six factors that Anderson use to support what made the migration of African Americans
different from the migration of other races includes their involuntary movement to America, their
economic exploitation, their denial of freedom, enslavement due to their racial identities, the countless
rapes of women slaves, and their resilience. The first factor that stood out to me was that African
Americans were the only people to be enslaved simply, because of their racial identity and the need to
exploit them for economic purposes. The fact

Essay about Womens Roles
In ancient India, women occupied a very important position, a superior position to men. To understand
the position of women in Hinduism, we must recognize the Hindu scriptures guidelines to a woman s
position in Hindu society, but fail to address some roles of a Hindu woman specifically. This vague
generalization of a woman s role in the religious spectrum leaves open interpretation for the woman.
Conflict arises when women are criticized by men, for the way they interpret the guidelines. Critically,
we begin with the Hindu scriptures, because it is the heart and source of their cultural norms which
can be perceived as an expression of the perceptions of the way of life. Scriptures of Hinduism hold
the highest authority towards women ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Treated as servants, by their husbands, marriage equals subservience. Classical Hindu laws focus
almost exclusively on women as wives, emphasizing how women should behave toward men. When I
say equality of women, I refer to equal roles within Hindu marriages. The basic rules for women
behavior, as expressed in the Laws of Manu, Ca. A.D. 200, stress the need to control women because
of their evil character (Wadley 117). Submission to male control is the sole duty of women in the
Hindu society. Trained from a young age in self sacrifice, the female is subject to her father, then to
her husband, and is never independent herself. Despite the circumstance, she must at all times be a
faithful wife and worship her husband as a god. In the patriarchal interpretation of these sacred texts,
the wife should always strive to be pure and submissive. Mythology also provides endless models of a
good wife, where the male authoritative figure prescribes control of women. As the wife is taught to
serve her husband as a god, without murmur or complaint, I will explore the symbolic relevance of
gods and goddesses toward wives obedience to husbands.
The interchangeable symbols of Hindu gods and goddesses to be discussed are derived from various
ritual contexts and legends. Some interchanges of male and female symbolic meanings about marriage
correspond with evoking symbolic perspectives of gods and goddesses (Ferro Luzzi 45). According to

Choices For Children, By Alfie Kohn
Choice in curriculum means more options for children. For instance, picture the high school child who
has a passion for history and struggles through any math course. This child would take courses such as
American History, World History, Sociology, Psychology, and American literature. By high school, the
foundation of all subjects has been taught and the children have a sense of what subjects they excel at,
and they know what subjects they will never use outside of high school. The classroom that is not
enjoyable to the student can create a pupil that is disinterested and idle. The school, in theory, is set up

The 2003 northeast blackout that saw about 50 million people from the northeast US and southeast
Canada lose power for about 2 days at the cost of $6 billion dollars according to JR Minkel (Minkle)
and was the biggest blackout in North American history (Minkle). The disaster lead to a report that
showed the blackout was caused by a combination of human error and equipment failure. To prevent
issues like this in the future a smart grid needs to be developed that would monitor and repair itself in
the event of problems. Essentially computers and applications would be the first responder when there
is an equipment failure on the grid. The problem with this solution is that by placing more of the
control of the power grid into the hands of computers and applications, it opens up the grid to cyber
attacks. The economic impact of a total or even partial failure of the power grid is astronomical and
makes a very appealing target to those who wish to cause

Those women needed only to become better adjusted to who and what they were. Friedan, however,
was no ordinary housewife. Before starting her family, she had worked as a newspaper reporter; even
after her children came, she wrote regularly for the major women s magazines. By 1957 she was fed
up with the endless stories about breast feeding, the preparation of gourmet chip dips, and similar
domestic fare that was the staple of Redbook , McCall s , and Ladies Home Journal . She had noticed
many women like herself who worked outside the home and felt guilty because their jobs threatened
their husbands roles as providers or took time away from their children. Thus Friedan began to wonder
not only about herself as a woman, a wife, and a mother, but also about the role society had shaped
women to play. The results of the Smith questionnaire engaged Friedan s reportorial instincts. She
sensed she was onto a story bigger than anything she had ever written. But when she circulated an
article describing the plight so many women were experiencing, the male editors at the women s
magazines turned it down flat. It couldn t be true, they insisted; women could not possibly feel as
guilty or discontented as Friedan claimed. The problem must be hers. Betty has gone off her rocker, an
editor at Redbook told her agent. She has always done a good job for us, but this time only the most

The Future Of Life Chapter 1 Summary
The Future of life, written by Edward O. Wilson, developed a novel with a plethora of ideas, theories,
and problems within in our world today. Wilson breaks down concepts into greater context which
gives the reader in depth description to show the reader a better outlook on issues in our society today.
The author lectures in chapter two, The Bottleneck on how and why the world is overpopulated.
Wilson gives great insight, facts and solutions that will lead into what the future looks like for an
overpopulated world. Wilson begins by opening chapter two with questions regarding the population
shift around the world. Now, increasingly post ideological in temper, we may be ready to settle down
before we wreck the planet (Wilson 28). The author ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Creating two people equal one is the economist and the other is the environmentalist, persevering
together to make this a better sustained world, for every human to live life to the fullest. The
economist is in charge of the production and consumption of the area, explaining the wants and needs.
Thinking of the bigger picture, everything is production and consumption. Plants use nutrients from
the ground and sunlight to give off oxygen, which we inhale to live. Animals eat nutrients, so we as a
society can eat them. Farmers clear fields to grow crops for us to stay healthy with vegetables and
fruits. The economist parameters are the gross domestic product, trade balance, and competitive index
(Wilson 29). Meaning the economist would pair with the environmentalist to make and sustain a better
living headquarters for us to thrive as a planet. The environmentalist job would be such to work with
ecosystems, crop fields and water supplies. The environmentalist would make sure crops are
functioning correctly. Having our wildlife in check and to not have overpopulated species running
wild. Taking control of our water sources, and will serve very well for now and in the future. Most
important job of the two, economist and environmentalist is make sure we have the resources for

A Summary Of The Ponca Tribe
Great Plains tribes share a history of events in the late 19th century. This essay focuses on the Ponca
tribe and the trial of Standing Bear, one of their chiefs. Other tribes experienced similar incidents of
callous disregard for legal rights and struggles to accept their fate of losing their tribal lands and
relocating to Indian Territory that barely sustained the people and shattered tribal customs and
practices. It is also a story of help provided by white Americans to resolve conflicts and restore the
Ponca to their rightful land (Brennan, Authors Note). The travails of the Ponca tribe are typical of 19th
century U.S. Indian relations experienced by Native Americans.
Discussion
The Ponca Story The Ponca signed several treaties with the United States after a 1817 peace treaty: a
trade agreement in 1825 and land cession in 1858 and 1865 to ensure military protection and
economic assistance. In the 1860s and 1870s, the Ponca almost starved after droughts, unproductive
bison hunts and constant threats to the Ponca by the Sioux threatened their existence. Rather than
honor treaty obligations, the U.S. gave Ponca land to the Sioux in 1868 that included all of Dakota
Territory (van de Logt). In 1877, Indian tribes, including the Ponca, were ordered to move to Indian
Territory in the south. After ten chiefs visited the new location and found the situation unsustainable
for farming or grazing, eight walked back and stopped at the Otoe and Omaha reservations. A letter

The Virtual Private Network System
Introduction A virtual private network (VPN) is a system that utilizes public telecommunication
infrastructure, such as the Internet, to offer remote offices or single users with safe access to their
institution s network ( Collins, Keeley Waye,2000). A virtual private network can be compared to an
expensive system of held or rented lines that can only be utilized by a single organization. The aim of
a VPN is to offer the institution with similar capabilities, but at very low costs (Hulsebosch,Belmont
Manke ,2011). A VPN functions by using the allocated public infrastructure while retaining
confidentiality through safety processes and HYPERLINK

Protocol L2TP). In effect, the protocols, by encrypting data at the dispatching end and decrypting it at
the receiving end, send the data via a tunnel that cannot be accessed by data that is not appropriately
encrypted. An added degree of safety involves encrypting both the data and the originating and
receiving system addresses.A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is therefore a means of generating a

Courbet s Burial At Ornans Andean-Gleaners
A Formal Analysis of Gustave Courbet s Burial at Ornans and Jean François Millet s Gleaners
The realism era came about during the time of the Romantics, the time where imagination and
ideology painted the artists canvas. To be a realist meant that an artist would paint what he actually
saw and not an idea of something. For instance, if an artist were to paint a depiction of war, then all
the gruesome details would probably be considered in the piece of art. The artist that essentially paved
the way out of Romanticism and into the era of Realism was Gustave Courbet considered by some to
be the first realist.
Gustave Courbet was born in region of France called Franche Comté in 1819. Courbet was the oldest
child in the family and he had three sisters that he was very close with, although the older he got the
more he rebelled against his parent s wishes for him to become a lawyer; Gustave wanted to be an
artist, so he eventually did break from the ideals of his parents and instead set out on his own path.
Gustave was known as a rebel and in his unconventional way changed the way art was viewed.
Gustave said of himself, I offend, therefore I am. He had a strong disdain for the government and this
proved to be an asset in who he would one day become. Gustave, with his rebellion of the traditional
style of artistry, observed the works of others and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

conventional artistic styles of the past, so around 1849 he rented a cottage where he realized that he
loved the views of the country side and peasant life. His observations led him to begin drawing and

DAP results from the process of making decisions about the well being and education of children
based on at least three important kind of information or knowledge.
What is known about how children develop and learn, including information about ages and stages
and what the appropriate experiences, materials, activities and interactions for each child.
What is known about the strengths, interests, and needs of each individual child in the group.
What is known about the social and cultural context in which each child is growing up in.

believe in the creative expression and relationship with nature by the children. So we see children

Evaluating Hamlet s Relevance
Evaluation In order for a text to be relevant it must be: easily accessible; have an influential, universal
theme; and the characters and message need to be relatable to modern society. I believe that while the
criteria is no one hundred percent true for Hamlet, he is still relevant to read. While the characters are
outdated in modern society, the theme is universal and applicable today. Finally, all of his work can be
found online for free. For a work to be relevant today, it must first be easily accessible. If a work is not
easily accessible, then it causes disparities in who can and cannot read it. Relevance relies on the fact
that the text applies to modern times, however, if not everyone has access to the material in order to

When people can relate to the characters and message of a text, then they are able to learn from it.
When neither of these two things are applicable to their lives it makes it nearly impossible for people
to internalize them making there no point in reading the text in the first place. Frankly, the
backgrounds of the characters in Hamlet are not very relatable. All of these characters are based off of
the Third Book of the Historia Danica of Saxo Grammaticus. The book conveys the aspect of life of
medieval life, specifically Denmark. It s hard modern day people to imagine what it s like living in a
time where there are not any cars, no Whole Foods, let alone any electricity. However, one of the main
things that people can assimilate with are the social classes discussed throughout the novel. Both now
and one thousand years ago there were social classes, that certain people fell into. While the majority
of Hamlet depicts life of the rich around a castle, there are still aspects that appeal to all social classes.
These social classes allow people to draw parallels between the play and aspects of their lives. This
further allows people to better relate to the characters. While the characters of Hamlet at first glance
may not be the easiest people to compare a modern person s life to, the message of the play is very
visible and

Testicular Cancer Research Paper
Testicular Cancer Testicular cancer is a cancer that only occurs on men. This cancer forms in the
testicles, or testes, of a male. The testicles are positioned inside of the scrotum which is next to the
penis and looks like a bag of skin. The purpose of the testicles is to produce sperm and they contain
sex hormones. Reproductive bodies called germ cells develop into sperm through a process of cellular
division called meiosis (4). Normally cell division is regulated but in testicular cancer the germ cells
begin to divide uncontrollably and, instead of producing functional sperm, the germ cells create copies
of themselves making them cancerous cells. This kind of out of control division may happen to any
type of cell in the testicle. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are numerous ways to treat it since there are different types of testicular cancers and different
stages. One treatment can be surgery. There are two different surgical procedures, one is to remove the
testicle and the other to remove a lymph node (2). Removing the testicle is the most common
treatment because it can be done on merely all types of testicular cancer and in different stages. The
procedure to remove the testicle is done by having the surgeon makes an incision in your groin and
extracts the entire testicle through the opening (2). The patient also has the option to have a prosthetic
testicle implanted to replace the one the surgeon took out. However, having only one testicle does not
impair the patients sexual potency or fertility. There is a brief decrease of sperm production but that is
only temporary (5). The surgery in which the lymph node is removed is done by making an incision
on the abdomen. This surgery is more dangerous due to all the nerves surrounding the lymph nodes. If
the surgeon accidentally damages a can be difficult for the patient to have an ejaculation, but they can
still have an erection (2). After the surgery the patient will most likely need to schedule for another
appointment to check on the progress. These follow up appointments consist of blood tests, CT scans
and periodic x rays in order to check that the

Implementation Of A Negotiation Is A Communication Method
Negotiation Style A negotiation is a communication method in which several parties talk over
problems and endeavor to solve them via discussion in order to reach a resolution (Lewicki, Barry,
Saunders, 2011). Negotiations occur regularly on micro and macro scales, both in the professional or
personal which could be at the office and or in everyday life. Your approach and style can make the
different between a make or break deal. If attaining an agreement in a negotiation is based on
collaboration and collaboration is based on trust, then to be an effective negotiator you need to spawn
trust between yourself and the other party. Trust comes from being natural and being yourself, not
from trying to be something you re not, a fake. Once you re aware of your negotiation style you know
what can realistically be improved and what can t. The purpose of this paper is to outline my findings

King Lear Masculinity Analysis
King Richard II and King Lear: Lacking the Title of Masculinity King Richard II and King Lear both
illustrate the various forms of how royalty can stray away from the order they are thought to portray.
While both kings do hold the vast title that grants them ultimate power, both kings use this power to
express a lack of masculinity. Although the loss of title is performed at two different parts in each play,
King Richard II and King Lear represent the lack of masculinity within their royal position through
their strong emotional drive and narcissistic tendencies that are expressed through moments of
emotional polarization. Likewise, King Richard II (Richard) and King Lear (Lear) represent their lack
of masculinity in two different forms, one form of hyper masculinity and one of vulnerability, during
the realization of losing their crown. It is often discussed that Richard and Lear can be viewed under
the same lens as they tend to perform with narcissism and emotional drive while under pressure. This
character comparison can be examined while they are unable to portray correct forms of masculinity,
therefore lacking masculinity, in one of the most masculine positions in the world. This theme can be
explored within Richard and Lear while they confess to losing their power. For example, Act 4 scene 1
in Richard II is an accurate demonstration of Richard s lack of masculinity due to the illustration of his
narcissism, emotional drive, and his vulnerability. In 4.1, Richard addresses the loss of his crown to
Bolingbroke for numerous lines. He does not fully surrender the title of the crown until he concludes
expressing his emotional baggage of despair and grievance. This long continuation is important to
note as it can be argued as an example of Richard s narcissism. This narcissism is a subset of Richard
s lack of masculinity, since narcissism entails his self concerns rather than his concerns with his royal
position. Furthermore, Richard s lack of masculinity is expressed after shattering the mirror, stating, A
brittle glory shineth in this face... / ...How soon my sorrow hath destroyed my face (4.1.A133,
4.1.A137). The drama and emotional value that is enhanced in these lines reveal Richard s
vulnerability that

When parents know the fetus is special , they may be chosen to terminate the pregnancy. Thus, in
general prenatal screening helps to detect congenital disabilities but is also thought to be the remedy
selective abortion (Seller, 1976).
One of the benefits of prenatal screening is to enable early detection of the developmental defect
embryology. This embryology developmental defect may be due to the mutation or genetic
inheritance. Mutation is a condition characterized by permanent change in the DNA sequence that
makes up a gene. It can range in different sizes from a single DNA building block (DNA base) to a
large segment of a chromosome. On the other hand, genetic inheritance is a condition whereby parents
pass traits such as height and other characteristics to the children by chromosomes. Sonograms,
genetic tests and a new test called pre implantation genetic diagnosis which is a genetic test conducted
on embryos for people attempting pregnancy through in vitro fertilization allow women to better
predict if the infant will have a genetic defect (New York Times Magazine, 2006). Thus thorough
these tests, medical practitioners are able to identify and make early preparation toward any
abnormalities of the fetus.
Besides that, prenatal screening also improves lives. This is because prenatal screening is able to

The Concept Of Compassion By Using Walker And Avant s (...
The concept compassion is heart felt and used by many to cover a subjective feeling. Compassion is
experienced by people across the world in healthcare and in many aspects of life. It is well known in
many disciplines, and has been deemed a quality in which nurses possess in their profession. The idea
is one that is familiarized by many, but is not clearly defined in nursing education or practice but has
been the foundation regarding the high quality of care nurses are thought to contribute to the medical
world. The purpose of this concept analysis is to understand the experience of compassion. By using
Walker and Avant s (2011) eight step guideline for concept analysis on compassion, this analysis will

Simple Stresses
Simple stresses are expressed as the ratio of the applied force divided by the resisting area or σ =
Force / Area. It is the expression of force per unit area to structural members that are subjected to
external forces and/or induced forces. Stress is the lead to accurately describe and predict the elastic
deformation of a body. Simple stress can be classified as normal stress, shear stress, and bearing
stress. Normal stress develops when a force is applied perpendicular to the cross sectional area of the

  • 3. The World Bank Group And The Board Of Governors Of The... In September 23, 2003, the World Bank Group and the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) meet in Dubai to discuss the work of their respective institutions in international monetary and development issues. This meeting was worth its high expense when the discussion were centered on these institutions own reform rather than on how they should intervene in developing countries. An examination of the record of IMF and World Bank performance in developing countries shows that, far from being the solution to global economic instability and poverty, these two international institutions are a major problem. For one thing, their lending practice deters growth because the money they loan removes incentives for governments to advance economic freedom, and breeds corruption. For these reasons, the vast majority of recipient countries have been unable to develop fully after depending on these institutions for over 40 years. In addition the Bush Administration needed to support reform of these institutions lending practices. To that end, the Administration use the work of the congressionally mandated International Financial Institutions Advisory Commission (IFIAC), chaired by Allan H. Meltzer of Carnegie Mellon University, that establish a solid framework for reforming the IMF and the World Bank. The reforms maximize their effectiveness, increase accountability for their lending decisions, and limit their harmful influence in the developing world. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The reason why we use evidence is to help convince the judge or jury of supposed facts that relate to the case. Witnesses who testify, an expert who has information on certain fields of work, paperwork, records, photos etc. are all types of evidence that could be used in a case. Circumstantial evidence is evidence that aims to come to a conclusion by stating the cause while logically trying to prove the facts. The arguments and statements lawyers present to the judge and a judge who wants to make a statement can be ruled with an objection therefore it is not consider evidence. During a testimony a witness must swear under oath to say nothing but the truth that way her testimony can be considered the truth since they no way of know if it is the truth or not. Animas River Environmental Effects Recently, a contractor working for the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) unintentionally released 3 million gallons of toxic mine waste into the Animas River in the Mountain West state of Colorado. So far, the spill has contaminated the Animas River, San Juan River, and the Colorado River in Utah. In addition, several water supply systems have been affected by the spill. • 6. The Theory Of Behaviorism Operant Conditioning Abstract Behaviorism takes on many forms, B.F. Skinner liked to call his form of behaviorism Operant Conditioning. He would rather study observable behavior rather than internal mental events. He felt that was the best way to see how one may react to a particular stimuli and how one would handle the situation. Skinner believed that if a behavior is reinforced the behavior will continue. This had a two sided effect. If the bad behavior was reinforced the bad behavior would continue. Such as the good behavior, if it is reinforced and rewarded, the good behavior will continue. Albert Bandura is another theorist that I find interesting and directly related to my area of study. Unlike Skinner, he believed that people learned by watching others. His theory and Skinners theories are different but work together, you could not have operant conditioning unless you have cognitive process. The theorists that I chose are B.F. Skinner and Albert Bandura, both of them have unique ideas on how the human being thinks, reacts, feels and learns. Skinner (1936) wrote The Behavior of Organisms and introduced the concepts of operant conditioning and shaping. Albert Bandura (1963) wrote a book called the Social Leaning Theory and Personality development which combines both cognitive and behavioral frameworks McLeod, 2011). Bandura believed that children watch others to figure out how they are to behave and react in certain situations. McLeod (2011) concludes that Bandura believes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Inclusion Of Inclusion For Students With Disabilities Essay It is imperative that inclusion techniques be implemented in the classroom. Studies and research show that implementing inclusion techniques in the classroom have immense positive impacts on all students. As a result of these findings there is a rise in legislation being passed that fosters inclusion on a broader scale. Furthermore, it is necessary to apply inclusion techniques from a young age in order to ensure the greatest success. In my opinion the application of inclusion technique s in classrooms is becoming exceedingly important to the success of students with disabilities. According to the textbook, Exceptional Lives, Special Education in Today s Schools, inclusion is defined as ...the participation of students with disabilities alongside their non disabled peers in academic, extracurricular, and other school activities (Turnbull 42). It is important to note that IDEA refers to inclusion in the terms of a least restrictive learning environment. The law states that, each state must establish procedures to assure that, to the maximum extent appropriate, children with disabilities...are educated with children who are not disabled, and special classes, separate schooling, or other removal of children with disabilities from the regular educational environment occurs only when the nature or severity of the disability of a child is such that education in regular ... It then uses the power of rhetorical strategies such as ethos and pathos, with humor and gender stereotypes to connect with the target audience and convince them Old Spice is the product for them. The narrator initially addresses women appealing to their desire to make their man more attractive, while targeting men who want to be more attractive to women. Old Spice commercials offer little logic or statistics to back their product, however their use of sex appeal and humor play into peoples emotions perhaps making them feel insecure which has proven to be highly effective in selling this brand. Classical Hindu laws focus almost exclusively on women as wives, emphasizing how women should behave toward men. When I say equality of women, I refer to equal roles within Hindu marriages. The basic rules for women behavior, as expressed in the Laws of Manu, Ca. A.D. 200, stress the need to control women because of their evil character (Wadley 117). Submission to male control is the sole duty of women in the Hindu society. Trained from a young age in self sacrifice, the female is subject to her father, then to her husband, and is never independent herself. Despite the circumstance, she must at all times be a faithful wife and worship her husband as a god. In the patriarchal interpretation of these sacred texts, the wife should always strive to be pure and submissive. Mythology also provides endless models of a good wife, where the male authoritative figure prescribes control of women. As the wife is taught to serve her husband as a god, without murmur or complaint, I will explore the symbolic relevance of gods and goddesses toward wives obedience to husbands. The interchangeable symbols of Hindu gods and goddesses to be discussed are derived from various ritual contexts and legends. Thus Friedan began to wonder not only about herself as a woman, a wife, and a mother, but also about the role society had shaped women to play. The results of the Smith questionnaire engaged Friedan s reportorial instincts. She sensed she was onto a story bigger than anything she had ever written. But when she circulated an article describing the plight so many women were experiencing, the male editors at the women s magazines turned it down flat. It couldn t be true, they insisted; women could not possibly feel as guilty or discontented as Friedan claimed. The problem must be hers. • 25. A Summary Of The Ponca Tribe Great Plains tribes share a history of events in the late 19th century. This essay focuses on the Ponca tribe and the trial of Standing Bear, one of their chiefs. Other tribes experienced similar incidents of callous disregard for legal rights and struggles to accept their fate of losing their tribal lands and relocating to Indian Territory that barely sustained the people and shattered tribal customs and practices. It is also a story of help provided by white Americans to resolve conflicts and restore the Ponca to their rightful land (Brennan, Authors Note). The travails of the Ponca tribe are typical of 19th century U.S. Indian relations experienced by Native Americans. Discussion The Ponca Story The Ponca signed several treaties with the United States after a 1817 peace treaty: a trade agreement in 1825 and land cession in 1858 and 1865 to ensure military protection and economic assistance. In the 1860s and 1870s, the Ponca almost starved after droughts, unproductive bison hunts and constant threats to the Ponca by the Sioux threatened their existence. Rather than honor treaty obligations, the U.S. gave Ponca land to the Sioux in 1868 that included all of Dakota Territory (van de Logt). In 1877, Indian tribes, including the Ponca, were ordered to move to Indian Territory in the south. After ten chiefs visited the new location and found the situation unsustainable for farming or grazing, eight walked back and stopped at the Otoe and Omaha reservations. A letter ... Courbet s Burial At Ornans Andean-Gleaners A Formal Analysis of Gustave Courbet s Burial at Ornans and Jean François Millet s Gleaners The realism era came about during the time of the Romantics, the time where imagination and ideology painted the artists canvas. To be a realist meant that an artist would paint what he actually saw and not an idea of something. For instance, if an artist were to paint a depiction of war, then all the gruesome details would probably be considered in the piece of art. The artist that essentially paved the way out of Romanticism and into the era of Realism was Gustave Courbet considered by some to be the first realist. Gustave Courbet was born in region of France called Franche Comté in 1819. Courbet was the oldest child in the family and he had three sisters that he was very close with, although the older he got the more he rebelled against his parent s wishes for him to become a lawyer; Gustave wanted to be an artist, so he eventually did break from the ideals of his parents and instead set out on his own path. Gustave was known as a rebel and in his unconventional way changed the way art was viewed. Gustave said of himself, I offend, therefore I am. The testicles are positioned inside of the scrotum which is next to the penis and looks like a bag of skin. The purpose of the testicles is to produce sperm and they contain sex hormones. Reproductive bodies called germ cells develop into sperm through a process of cellular division called meiosis (4). Normally cell division is regulated but in testicular cancer the germ cells begin to divide uncontrollably and, instead of producing functional sperm, the germ cells create copies of themselves making them cancerous cells. The procedure to remove the testicle is done by having the surgeon makes an incision in your groin and extracts the entire testicle through the opening (2). • 33. King Lear Masculinity Analysis King Richard II and King Lear: Lacking the Title of Masculinity King Richard II and King Lear both illustrate the various forms of how royalty can stray away from the order they are thought to portray. While both kings do hold the vast title that grants them ultimate power, both kings use this power to express a lack of masculinity. Although the loss of title is performed at two different parts in each play, King Richard II and King Lear represent the lack of masculinity within their royal position through their strong emotional drive and narcissistic tendencies that are expressed through moments of emotional polarization. Likewise, King Richard II (Richard) and King Lear (Lear) represent their lack of masculinity in two different forms, one form of hyper masculinity and one of vulnerability, during the realization of losing their crown. It is often discussed that Richard and Lear can be viewed under the same lens as they tend to perform with narcissism and emotional drive while under pressure. This character comparison can be examined while they are unable to portray correct forms of masculinity, therefore lacking masculinity, in one of the most masculine positions in the world. This theme can be explored within Richard and Lear while they confess to losing their power. For example, Act 4 scene 1 in Richard II is an accurate demonstration of Richard s lack of masculinity due to the illustration of his narcissism, emotional drive, and his vulnerability. In 4.1, Richard addresses the loss of his crown to Bolingbroke for numerous lines. He does not fully surrender the title of the crown until he concludes expressing his emotional baggage of despair and grievance. This long continuation is important to note as it can be argued as an example of Richard s narcissism. This narcissism is a subset of Richard s lack of masculinity, since narcissism entails his self concerns rather than his concerns with his royal position. Furthermore, Richard s lack of masculinity is expressed after shattering the mirror, stating, A brittle glory shineth in this face... / ...How soon my sorrow hath destroyed my face (4.1.A133, 4.1.A137). The drama and emotional value that is enhanced in these lines reveal Richard s vulnerability that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
