Before taking this course, I used to just sing my songs, but never used to write
them down. Throughout, the course I learned that it s important to work on your
songs even if it s working on part of it. Taking time to improve you songs is already

strong premise. I found this very useful because then you have an idea of what your
song is going to be about. You start thinking of emotion and storyline you want to
write in the lyrics. For example, if you premise is about heartbreak, then the lyrics
will be about a relationship, with maybe a sad piano accompaniment. Another
interesting thing I learned about lesson two was the articles we read about
techniques for finding ways to be inspired when writing a song. The article that was

Probably nintey percent of the sites, that the search came up with, were useless, but
by evaluating the titles and descriptions, I avoided wasting time with sites that I knew
would be any help. Unfortunatly, there were some sites that I misinterpreted, nearly
half of the ones I visited. There were many sites that had the exact same information

There are many people in America who cannot afford their basic needs. In
Connecticut alone, thirty eight percent of the states population cannot afford to
meet their basic needs, such as food (New Haven Register). The meal gap, the
difference between the amount of people who can and can t afford food, is a
major problem in our state. However, an even bigger problem is the lack of
knowledge about the systems and programs that can help those who cannot afford
food in the vast majority of people that need this help. These programs would also
allow for an increase in the federal funding through incentives given out by the
government. An easy way to lower the meal gap would be to find ways to spread
awareness about these programs to those in need, thereby lowering the meal gap and
increasing federal funding, allowing the government to help more people.
