It is the family that prepares the child for life outside of the home. Certain lifestyles,
such as, conflict either between the parents or between the child and the parent(s)
may lead to a negative ways in the child s actions by fighting, blaming each other and

the child becoming involved with gangs in an effort to replace the relationships that

Unfortunately, this type of behavior only leads to time spent in juvenile detention.

among juveniles? In this research they examined the provision of behavioral health
services to youths detained in Indiana between 2008 and 2012 and the impact of

as a new arrest charge within 12 months after release from a youth s first detention
stay (Aalsma).

Dr. Adriana, we need 70 mL of ethanol, I said confidently after computing the
dilution factor needed for an immunohistochemistry experiment. This was my first
time using the molarity formula in real life. When I first learned this formula, it
had little significance because I never had to use it. That was the way most things
were to me regarding science; I was bombarded with formulas and equations to
memorize with no intention of actually using them. While I was told that I was
good at chemistry and was able to work hard and do well in the class, it was not until
I sat in a real medical researchlaboratory that my passion for chemistry began. It
was quite the adjustment for me; the answers to my questions could not be found in
a book. I soon realized that memorizing formulas would not suffice; I needed a way
to visualize intricate ideas on the subatomic level. But this is what made me love the
experience the challenge. Everything we did used chemistry concepts but took it a
step further. The goal was not to get the right answer; with each step we were closer
to a solution for patients struggling with cancer. This topic hit home to me because it

Zealand parliament only make up just over 30% in parliament (2014). For women to
be represented in parliament, it means that women need to be seen as a norm in
government, and therefore all positions of power. This under representation can be

Different Approaches Used to Treat Infertile Couples Research on applicability of
specific models of couple therapy for couples facing issues around infertility and
treatment is limited because of the array of psychological and interpersonal problems
the couples face. One approach researched is cognitive behavioral marital therapy
(CBMT). According to theorists of cognitive behavior, change in behaviors within a
couple arises through marital distress (Myers Wark, 1996). The behaviors occur
disproportionately damaging to the relationship when compared to the benefit of the
behavior (Myers Wark, 1996). The applicability of this model in addressing problems
related to infertility experienced by couplescan address a broad range of issues:
individual response to unconscious thoughts, and self evaluation and perceptions,
sexual dysfunction, and function of communication in a marital relationship (Myers
Wark, 1996). An argument against the use of CBMT in working with couples with
issues of infertility is that the focus on behavior of the approach lacks sympathy. For
