Zeithaml (1988, as cited in Smith Colgate, 2007, p. 8) defined customer value as

Father Flynn while still curious about what the truth is. The viewer was in constant

published on ESPN.com regarding Maria Sharapova s two year suspension over a
positive doping test result (Rovell, 2016). Maria Sharapova, the highest paid female
athlete today, announced in March 2016 that she tested positive for taking
meldonium, a banned substance that was recently added to the World Anti Doping
Agency s (WADA) prohibited substance list. Initially, the International Tennis
Federation(ITF) suspended Sharapova for two years but after an appeal to the Court
of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) by the Sharapova team, the Russian tennisstar s
suspension was reduced to 15 months and she can return to competition in April
2017. Meldonium is a heart drug that is available for purchase over the counter in
Russia. This drug is believed to help the body produce energy in a more efficient
manner. Sharapova was unintentionally committing a doping violation, which is the
ethical issue in this situation. She had been taking meldonium since 2006 to help her

The Education Of Schools And Schools Essay
Many schools in America are divided by cities and districts which locks in certain
students for specific schools. Some of these schools are well provided, and others
are not due to the income of that district which the students live in. These borders
for schools causes a problem in which certain educational tools and experience are
restricted for those individuals who have a low income. The inadequate funding of
schools for certain districts throughout Americahave been a problematic
enforcement of disparity. This continues to promote the ideas of racism,
segregation, and social class by isolating schools based off the income and having
certain limitations due to ethnicity. In order to change the things for the better, we
must bring awareness to this problem and work towards equal funding of schools.
Mickelson and Smith state There is a strong relationship between race and social
class, and racial isolation is often an outgrowth of residential segregation and
socioeconomic background (Mickelson and smith 2011) Schools are one of the
foundations in which society is formed through thegain of knowledge and
experience. If we are simply segregating the distribution of certain knowledge due to
the income of a person, we are restricting the right for a person to obtain equal
knowledge. With the educationsystem being constricted due to the income of the
student s family, they are unable to fulfill their grasp of knowledge in comparison to
the schools of a wealthier district.

The Dichotomy Of Religion In Yann Martel s Pi
As I mature into a young adult, my thoughts and feelings about certain topics have
changed. One of those topics is religion. I started out as a very devout Christian
when I was younger, but as I got older I began to disagree with a lot of the things I
followed. Over time, I stopped liking Christianity altogether and only believed that
people followed it because it gave them a higher moral ground above everyone else.
However, Yann Martel s novel gave me the epiphany that religionmeant so much
more than this.
For example, in the novel, Pi drifts upon an island with the tiger, Richard Parker.
Richard Parker goes to do his own thing while Pi eats the algae and is
overwhelmed with euphoria (as he had been on the sea for quite some time). He
doesn t stop to think about how everything worked on the island and just took in
everything it had to offer. This symbolizes how some followers of religion don t
think logically about how life works or even about their own religion and go with it.
In my case, for Christianity, I realized why so many people didn t stop to think about
why some illogical things happened in the Bible. They simply don t care and are

down as if they were saying My turn! My turn! Pi perceives this as that the
meerkats were not fazed by anything, not even death. This symbolizes how
followers of religion follow it so closely that nothing scares them. Here, I realized
why some Christians are not afraid of death or why Christians tend to live happy
lives. They aren t afraid of death because if they are morally right in life, such as not
doing drugs or following the Golden Rule , then they will get a wonderful afterlife.
