This document describes an experimental analysis conducted to determine the heat transfer coefficient of a thermosyphon heat pipe. The experiment used a copper thermosyphon heat pipe 570mm long with de-ionized water as the working fluid. Tests were run at heat inputs of 155W, 200W, 250W and 300W, fluid flow rates of 10, 15, and 20 ml/sec, and inclinations of 30 and 45 degrees. Temperature readings at the evaporator and condenser ends were recorded and used to calculate parameters like thermal efficiency, heat flux, thermal resistance, and heat transfer coefficient. Graphs of the results show that a 45 degree inclination produced higher efficiency and heat transfer compared to 30 degrees.

In the steam generator the fuel is burnt to heat the water and form steam. This fuel burnt flue gas carries lot of energy, out through chimney. Prior to exhausting through the heat left in flue need to be recovered, through heat recovery mechanisms’. In this project an air-preheater condensate heat recovery unit is the major energy consuming station.

I have attached this report where we find out the actual reason steam turbine Deaerating Condenser Performance degradation which was written on June 06, 2012.That time I was in Haripur Power Limited (HPL) ,A 360 MW CCPP of Pendekar Energy Bangladesh Ltd.
The report outcome showed that the Steam turbine load could be reached to its maximum capacity after those valve maintenance works on the next Steam Turbine Major inspection on 2013.We hope we can increase our steam turbine load to 5-7 MW/D on that time.
The operational guys were indicating Circulating water pumps (CWP A&B) were not performing to its design capacity & Ejectors/vacuum pumps are not performing well.So,Mechanical Maintenance Team (MMT) team find this successful outcome after several study.
Condenser vacuum condition has improved a lot after maintenance of the valves on last Major Inspection on 2013.

large restaurant, institutions and food preservation industries. In
these cases, it is necessary that each location is cooled by separate
evaporators to maintain the particular temperature and produce
the required refrigeration load. Hence it requires different
refrigerating units with single evaporator for each location.
Instead it will be beneficial to use a refrigerating unit with
multiple evaporators working at different temperatures.
Therefore, it is the purpose of this paper to introduce vapor
compression system which uses a single compressor and
individual expansion devices to provide the concurrent testing.
Also we have to analyse the performance of the refrigeration
system when different refrigerants are used in the same system
with changing suction and discharge pressure. The performance
parameters will be COP & the refrigerating effect obtained at
evaporator.

Abstract Huge amount of energy wasted through the flue gas in thermal power station causes great concern in recent years. Discharging hot flue gas in the environment is not only a wastage of energy but also increases the rate of global warming. Efforts are given world -wide to harness the energy for useful purposes. In this work, the waste heat of flue gas in a 350 MW thermal power plant is utilized in vapor absorption air conditioning plant. Gas to liquid multi-pass cross flow heat exchanger that have been placed in the existing space between boiler and chimney. The dimensions of the finally selected heat exchanger are 0.106m × 2.4m × 3.4m. The number of pipes required for the heat exchanger is found to be 12 using iteration method and temperature of water at the outlet of last pipe is 101.1℃. The extracted energy from the flue gas is used to heat water to be utilized in the generator of a vapor absorption refrigeration system that has produced a refrigerating capacity of 70 TR. approximately. Due to the corrosive nature of flue gas, heat recovery is confined up to the acid dew point temperature of the flue gas. Suitable software is used to find out the detailed design parameters of Gas to liquid multi-pass cross flow heat exchangers. Out of many feasible designs of heat exchangers, the most economic design is selected as the final design. Abstract: Heat pipe are high-efficient heat transfer devices and have been widely applied in various thermal systems. Since heat pipe utilize the phase change of the working fluid to transport the heat, the selection of working fluid is of essential importance to promote the thermal performance of heat pipe. Abstract This work presents an investigation of the thermal performance on Thermo-siphon charged with norflurane as a running fluid,
with electro chemical nano coating. This analysis was carried out to scrutinize the optimized fill ratio and angle of inclination for
better heat transfer enhancement. The fluctuation of heat transfer ability of the thermo-siphon was analyzed for the input heat
transfer rate varies from 0 to 350 W for various filling ratios and inclination of angle. The various fill ratio of the refrigerant used
in the analysis are 70%, 60%, 50%, 40% and 30% and angle of inclination for carrying out orientation analysis were taken as 0°,
45° and 90°. Experimental results showed that the fill ratio and orientation analysis showed a better heat transfer performance on
thermo-siphon while using Norflurane as a working fluid. Experimental investigations and calculations depicted that the thermal
resistance of 50% fill ratio was found to be lower than that of other fill ratios thereby leading to a better thermal performance for
thermo-siphon charged with Norflurane. Further, upon further investigation for orientation analysis it was found that the
horizontal inclination provided better heat transfer. Hence this present investigation indicates that the thermal performance of a
thermo-siphon can be enhanced using Norflurane at an optimal fill ratio of 50% and at an angle of inclination of 0°.

This paper describes an experimental study of using the waste heat from a Panasonic Under-
Ceiling split room air - conditioner had a rated capacity of 3.51 kW (12,000 Btu/h). An under – ceiling
split type air conditioning for heating domestic water in private homes. Energy recovery improved the
performance, and the recovered energy could replace electricity completely for heating domestic water
use. An extra charge of refrigerant in the air-conditioner could prevent its compressor from over heating
during energy recovery. The experimental conducted on varies capacity of the range from 22.5 litres to
120 litres storage tank. Results show the water temperature increased lies in the range of 50 OC to 65
OC. It was found that, when the initial water temperature in the 22.5 litres storage tank 27 OC, the water
temperature reached 65 OC in 105 minutes. For 120 litres water, temperature increased from 27 OC to 62
OC,5 in 240 minutes.

Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.
