This study investigated data regarding criminal offenses categorized as hate crimes
that are motivated, in whole or in part, by the offender s bias against a race, religion,
sexual orientation, ethnicity/national origin, or disability and are committed against
persons, property, or society , (Hall 2013) with a speculative focus upon the
psychological typology of the offender. Findings yield five major categories of the
offender: thrill seeking, reactive/defensive, retaliatory, mission, and bias peripheral
/mixed (Freilich 2013). The study yielded that individuals who commit hate crimes
are not diagnostically mentally ill, but they do share characteristics of high levels of
aggression and antisocial behavior, with childhood histories of parental or caretaker
abuse, and use of violence to solve family problems. Findings are considered in terms
of clinical intervention and risk assessment practices with hate crime offenders using
a chi squared test for nominal (categorical) data to determine whether an
association between two categorical variables in a sample is likely to reflect a real
association between these two variables in a population. Hate crime generally
refers to a criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in
part by an offender s bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual

Of the North American, Scandinavian and Russian tundras, the Scandinavian tundra
is the warmest, with winter temperatures averaging 18В°F ( 8В°C)
The tundra is basically like a desert when it comes to precipitation. Only about 6 10
inches of precipitation (mostly snow) fall each year. Below the soil is the tundra s
permafrost, a permanently frozen layer of earth. During the short summers the top
layer of soil may thaw just long enough to let plants grow and reproduce. Since it can
t sink into the ground, water from melting permafrost and snow forms lakes and
marshes each summer.
There is barely any vegetation in the tundra, only about 1,700 different species,
which isn t very much. These are mostly shrubs, sedges, mosses, lichens and

As a reader, I can assume that his death awaits him in Venice, that the lust and desire

I can understand both of the arguments presented in these two passages. On one
side, we have regular workers trying to establish a stable and reliable source of

Living With Art By Tintoretto, Miracle Of The Renaissance
In chapter 4 of Living with Art it discusses the elements of art which are the
following: line, shape, mass, light, value, texture, pattern, color, and space. In the
twentieth century two elements were added to the list and they are time and motion.
In the painting by Tintoretto, Miracle of the Slave (1548) there are several elements
of art that are at play. First off, is line. Line is presented a few times throughout the
painting including horizontal, vertical, and diagonalline. Horizontal line represents
relaxation and placidity, the figure on the ground in the front is a horizontal line
because he is dead. His body is in repose which is why he is represented as a
horizontal line. Vertical lines represent assertiveness, structure, and growth. Jesus
coming down from the middle is vertical and he is defying gravity by entering the
painting from the top. Lastly for line, is diagonal lines. Most of the other people
throughout the painting are represented as diagonal lines, which represents action
and movement. Looking closely at the painting it seems to have a freeze frame look
as though in the midst of all the action someone took a photograph of the scene. The

Development of the Sukuk market should include both the sovereign and
corporate segments, to the extent possible and practicable, in order to enable both
the public and private sectors to have the widest possible options for fund raising.
Based on the experience of some jurisdictions, government participation and
support would be a major factor in developing a sound Sukuk market. Regular
issuances by the government would create a yield benchmark for the issuance of
corporate Sukuk and also encourage Sukuk issuance by the private sector. The
feasibility of this approach nevertheless would differ between one jurisdiction and
another, based primarily on the financial and economic specificities of each
jurisdiction. In jurisdictions with large infrastructure investments, there are
significant opportunities for the growth of Sukuk as a fund raising means for both
the public and private sectors. A facilitative ecosystem to provide SMEs greater
access to funding via the ICM would help fuel the growth of these companies and

When dwelling into the explorations about science and religion, one can find it quite
amusing. If science and religion are to continue to coexist it seems opposed to the
conditions of modern thought to admit that this result can be brought about by the so
called
water tight compartment system which, even at the present time, is frequently
extolled or considered possible. (Boutroux, 406) Two powerful forces that coexist yet
each of them deny one another, but yet they define one another. The perfect paradox
within the world of both, two opposites that attract and one cannot exist without the
other. Most people fail to understand that; they fail to realize that without science
there is no religion and without religion there is no science. On one hand, science
studies and examines every form of life and thing of known existence. On the
other hand, religion studies the pure feeling and knowledge of a higher being, the
omnipresent god who created all that is known. And on the hand that no one likes
to see, you have science that fills in the gaps of religion, and religion that fills in

Mike Davis, in his Planet of Slums (New Left Review 2004)1, surely comes out
swinging in his attempt to convince his readers that the IMF and the World Bank
are managing the world into survivalist death camps known as the modern urban
city, making some good arguments for sound judgements in the areas of political
and/or business histories. Mike throws out all kinds of great big scary numbers,
many of which seem to be quite a bit over exaggerated, for instance he predicted
there would be at least 550 cities in the world with populations of over a million by
2015, whereas in 2016 there were only 512 of them as reported by the United
Nations in their The World s Cities in 2016 Data Book2. He got some of his data
form the UN, who has backed off from the numbers Mike used in the years since
2004, but have some new predictions for those that may desire (They now predict
there could be as many as 662 of them by 2030)2. But Mike also reported there were
400 of them when he wrote this article in 2004, whereas Mongabay reports there
were but 336 of them in 20053. Many of the citypopulation numbers also seem quite
high, at least as compared with Google and Wikipedia. He even more paranoidly
claims that in many cases the actual populations of these slums are massively
