Example Of Essay Report
Writing an essay on the topic "Example of Essay Report" may initially seem like a
straightforward task, but it comes with its own set of challenges. Crafting a well-structured and
insightful essay requires a thorough understanding of the subject matter, the ability to articulate
thoughts clearly, and a skillful use of language.
One of the challenges is striking the right balance between providing examples and offering a
thoughtful analysis. Simply listing examples without delving into their significance can make the
essay superficial, while an overly analytical approach might make it dense and hard to follow.
Finding the sweet spot where examples are used effectively to support arguments or illustrate
points is crucial.
Moreover, maintaining a coherent structure can be challenging. The essay should have a logical
flow, with each paragraph building upon the previous one. Transitioning smoothly between
examples and analysis is essential to keep the reader engaged and to convey a cohesive message.
Research is another aspect that adds complexity. A well-rounded essay on the example of a
report requires thorough research to gather relevant examples and supporting data. Ensuring the
accuracy and credibility of sources is crucial for the essay's overall reliability.
The task is not just about putting words on paper; it's about crafting a narrative that captivates
the reader and effectively communicates the intended message. This demands a nuanced
understanding of the topic, creativity in presenting examples, and a keen eye for detail.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic "Example of Essay Report" is a challenging
endeavor that demands a combination of research skills, critical thinking, and effective
communication. It requires a delicate balance between providing examples and offering
insightful analysis, all while maintaining a coherent structure. For those who find this task

The Pros And Cons Of Football
What is football? Football is a sport where you can shine and show your potential
talent. For most people football is not just a game; it is more than that, it is a job
as much as it is a lifestyle. For most athletes, when you step out onto the field you
forget what is really going on in your life. However, for a professional quarterback,
you cannot just forget about the world and play the sport. The quarterback has many
responsibilities since they are the most valuable player on the field, so they cannot
lose their mind in the chaos of the game. Being a quarterback is already a hard
role, which is why there are limited amount of great quarterbacks in the National
Football League. There are many great quarterbacks in the spotlight, which is why
they get all the blame for the wrongdoing. However, out of all the quarterbacks in the
National Football League, the real question is which can prove himself to be the best
player, Peyton Manningor Tom Brady?
Peyton Manning is 6 5 and 230 pounds at the age of 39 and has 18 seasons as a
quarterback in the Nation Football League( Peyton Manning Biography para.1).
He has broken all kinds of National Football League records. Tom Brady is 6 4 and
225 pounds at the age of 38 and has 16 seasons as a quarterback in the National
Football League(Tom Brady Body Measurement Height Weight Shoe Size Stats para

The but for test, although it often yields the right answer, does not always do so.
Use the airline case in the conclusion Causation has been subject to copious

that but for causation is good as far as it goes, but it does not go far enough and
there is a need to modify its structure in cases that do not have a simple yes or no
answer to causation. This essay explores the development of the but for test s
modification through the case law specifically the exception in Fairchild and other

Over the course of employment the respondent had been exposed to two sources of
this dust; swing grinders and pneumatic hammers, the latter being an innocent
exposure and the former being negligent. Due to uncertainty as to which exposure
was the actual cause of the disease the normal but for test would be unworkable.
Lord Reid gave the leading judgement in the case and avoided the issues of the but
for test by creating the Wardlaw test of material contribution to injury
It appears to me that the source of his disease was the dust from both sources, and the
real question is whether the dust from the swing grinders materially contributed to the
disease.
He went on to say:
A contribution which comes within the exception de minimis non curat lexis not
material, but I think that any contribution which does not fall within that exception
must be material
From his lordships judgement it is clear that the claimant only has to demonstrate that
the guilty dust had made a material contribution to the disease, which they did.
The next case to discuss is McGhee v National Coal Board here the claimant
developed dermatitis while working in brick kilns and being exposed to dust and
ash. There was medical evidence to suggest that the risk of developing dermatitis
would be materially reduced if the claimant had the chance to shower, washing off
the dust. This case is different to Wardlaw in the sense that the negligence wasn t a
cause in the same way

The David Jones is iconic department store in Australian retail industry, but the net
profit of David Jones has been decreasing because of the rapid retail environmental
changes, unhealthy cultures, and global online attack. The problems of declining net
profit in David Jones are creating make it essential to apply the most suitable change
management for company.
1.2Aim The aim of this report is not only applying the change management theory,
model, and style for David Jones and David Jones CEO, Paul Zahra, but also
supporting the arguments through case studies in order to find practical solution.

it is supported by case studies that the linkage between inability of identifying of
retail environmental changes and Zahra s new rescue plan for David Jones failed
because after the new rescue plan of Zahra, net profit and share price continued to
decrease. Moreover, the case study said that it may be a good five years before
strategy can be assessed properly (Waddell Waddell, Cummings Worley 2014).
On the other hand, Lewin s change model or action research model is not suitable
for David Jones case because of focusing on more problems in the organisation than
concentrating on retail environmental changes. The result of implementation of
Lewin s change model or action research model would be led to the strategic
failure. The possibility of positive model of planned change for David Jones makes
it necessary for the company to use positive model.

Children Exhibit Behaviors That Are Associated With...
Children exhibit behaviors that are associated with Bipolar Disorder (BPD) as
early as 2 years of age. However, many children are not diagnosed until older due to
the subjectivity of diagnosing children with mental disorders while their brains are
still developing. This leads to a prolonged delay in diagnosis and treatment.
However, with recent research, we are able to view and compare brain structures
of those with BPD to those who are not affected by BPD. By MRI and fMRI scans,
there are regions in the brain that are associated with BPD at certain sizes and
activity levels. Individuals with Bipolar show decreased brain volumes in emotion
related neurocircuitry, such as the amygdala and the prefrontal cortical regions
(Marrus, Bell, Luby, 2014). With being able to see structural abnormalities within
the brain we are also able to determine if treatments for these disorders are effective.
With the use of proper medication, volumetric differences occur in the regions of the
brain that are associated with BPD and therefore provide evidence that brain
structure abnormalities can be normalized with medication. However, even with
treatment, individuals with BPD tend to follow the trend that they are still more
susceptible to drug abuse, aggressive behavior, and binge drinking later on in life
(Swendsen et al., 2010). Additionally, BPD used to always be considered the sole
mental illness an individual had but recently it has been shown that BPD is comorbid
with other diseases,
Internal Conflict, When Emotions Compromise Your...
INTERNAL CONFLICT , when emotions compromise your negotiation leverage.
Abstract
Conflicts occur on a daily basis, throughout all levels of society. Conflicts often bring
about intense emotional reactions, which may strongly affect the individuals
involved. Given that conflicts are often infused with emotions, it is important to
understand how these emotions may shape conflict development and resolution.
Emotions play a pervasive role in our actions on a daily basis. Positive emotions such
as happiness and empathy can influence our actions to make us better human beings
whereas negative emotions such as anger and fear, if not harnessed well, can hold us
back from achieving our true potential.
But when it comes to Negotiation, time and time again, common wisdom has proven
that emotion of any nature, whether positive or negative should be kept out of it as it
can only hamper the end results of the negotiation and skew the results in the
opposing party s favor.
This is because emotions reduce people s ability to process information quickly.
This simply means that they don t take the time or effort to explore out of the box
solutions or creative options. Important facts or clues may be missed out, which can
lead to a loss of leverage in negotiation.
This study is meant to examine the adverse effects internal conflict and emotions play
when brought into the negotiation process.
Why was this subject chosen?
Negotiation has been studied from many

Further, the distribution showed that most indigenous Nigerian SMEs are not
directly involved in the strategic sectors of the economy such as oil and gas
exploration. The very huge financial requirement of oil and gas exploration, complex
paper work and the inability of the indigenous SMEs to obtain funding from the banks
and financial institutions as seen from earlier distribution tables, could possibly
explain the situation.

approved. Further, 10(31.2%) made application for ordinary bank loan of which
(in table 4 below) 3(30%) was approved. By this, it can be interpreted that the rate
of applications for funding as well as the success rate of the applications (for both
SMIEIS and bank loan) is extremely low. This could partly explain the fact that there
seems to be information gap or poor awareness of the SMIEIS fund.

Why Dr. Brooke Winner Essay
I had to opportunity to shadow Dr. Brooke Winner on December 2, 2016, from the
hours of ten o clock to two thirty. She is an OBGYN with her speciality areas being
in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Obstetrics and
Gynecology, Gynecologic Surgery, and Robotic Surgery. Upon entering her office
at 1110 Highlands Plaza East, suite #220, I was directed to the second floor where
one of the office managers placed me inside of her office, that she shared with
another OBGYN, a male, named Dr. Biest. Upon her arrival to meet up with me,
she smiled while holding one finger up, and speedily accounted one of her patient s
information into a tape recorder. It was a surreal event to watch. Dr. Winner
received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University
in 2001, and then took an astounding three year break before even beginning
medical school. Interestingly, she decided to enter onto the pre med track later in
college and so she applied later as well, which accounted for one year of her break.
However, being from Alaska, one of her desires was to go to the University of
Washington in Seattle, as it was considered a state medical school because Alaska
did not have one. She applied there, but was rejected. Columbia University,
however, did accept her, but she did not want to go there, as she viewed it as being
halfway across the country from her. So she asked to defer her enrollment and
surprisingly, they allowed it. So, in that year
Argumentative Essay On The Penny
Everybody in America has once had that shiny, copper, small penny jingling in their
pockets. The smallest denomination in the U.S. worth only one cent, has been a part
of this country for hundreds of years. This coinage has brought a significant effect on
our strong American economy. But a problem has been brought up within the last
couple decades on whether or not the penny shall be abolished or not. The penny has
historical importance and is appreciated more than people believe pennies to be
To the average person the penny only has one value and that is in the sense of the
economy. If asked many people say the penny is worth one cent. Which it is but the
penny has more than the economic value it exemplifies the history of the U.S. In
source G, Pennies, it shows the two types of pennies one from the past around 1793
and one from the present. These two visuals show that the penny has been around for
more than 200 years. It also shows that the penny has meaning to the people because
there has been time taken to remodel and enhance the visual appeal. The present
visual of the penny can be described as sentimental to the citizens of the United States
because of the person that is on the penny. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of
this country is the face of the copper coin. The penny has a job to pay homage to one
of this country s most important presidents. As said by Michael Bishop in source F,
President Bush signs Lincoln Penny Redesign Into Law , he states that the

Pool Physical Therapy
Benefits of Pool Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialty that is
performed by physical therapists with a goal to improve a person s quality of life,
mobility and function. In short, it is a way of relieving pain and improving person
s life. A lot of the time it is used by elderly people, people with disabilities, or
wounded/now disabled military personnel to, at least partially, restore their mobility
and return their life to normal as much as possible. The main goal of physical therapy
is to relieve pain and pressure on certain body parts and make life as easy as possible.
Physical Therapy can help with:
Arthritis Pain
Accelerated Sports Rehab
Low Back Pain
Obesity
Fibromyalgia
Difficulty with Walking/Balance
Water or Aquatic physical therapy is the same way as regular physical therapy but
it is performed in water. Usually, people that I mentioned above that cannot do land
physical therapy because of the pain are put in water and do their physical therapy
there. The reason for that is because water moves the body weight all around and
does not focus on a specific body part. From the experiences I read on the internet,

The Tuskegee Syphillis Experiment
The Tuskegee Syphillis Experiment, which ran from 1932 to 1972, displayed
numerous unethical practices that goes against the integrity of medical research.
There are several principles that are applied when it comes to medical research. The
one principle is allowing individuals the right to be able to choose whether they
would like to accept or decline participation in the research. The Tuskegee Experiment
did not follow this principle due to the lack of information that was provided to each

This is where the researcher acts in the best interest of the participant. The Tuskegee
Experiment did not embrace this principle. During the study, it became known that
Penicillin was an effective treatment for Syphillis. The participants of the study were
not only denied this treatment, but was not even informed that there was a treatment

Furosemide 80 mg is a potent diuretic, which may cause the loss of potassium and

These electrolytes will need to be supplemented if the levels are low. вњЅ Note: Most
HF admissions are R/T fl uid volume overload. Patients who do not require intensive

potent vasoconstrictor. This results in systemic vasodilation, thereby reducing
preload (reducing the volume of blood entering the left ventricle) and afterload
(reducing the resistance to the left ventricular contraction) in patients in HF. вњЅ

The Fifth Child by Doris Lessing
The Fifth Child is the masterpiece of Nobel Prize winner Doris Lessing. Lessing
herself described it as a horror story, but we can also put it into the genre of social
psychological novels. She declared: I hated writing it. It was sweating blood. I was
very glad when it was done. It was an upsetting thing to write obviously, it goes very
deep into me somewhere. It is a brilliant novel which deals not just with the social
aspect of familylife in England at the end of 19th century but with human psyches
in general. Harriet and David Lovatt are a conventional and traditional couple who
met at the office party and immediately fell in love because of the similar interests
that they share. One of their common desires is to have a pretty family house in the
country and produce a large family of six or eight children. All of their friends,
family members and relatives are completely shocked by their odd wish. Slowly
they start building a family life; they buy a huge house in the country, and have the
first baby. Ever since they have their first baby their house is full of family
members, relatives and friends for every holiday, just like they have always
dreamed of. Besides the fact that Harriet does not have easy pregnancies and all the
work she has to do makes her completely exhausted, she enjoys having a house full
of people and to impose on them with her perfect life. Everything is just like Harriet
and David Lovatt have always dreamed; they have four cute,

Compare And Contrast Between Old And Old Food
Technology
Compare and contrast between old and new food technologies. Comment
Introduction:
It is an advancement of mankind history that gave human ability to preserve and save
food from microorganisms. In ancient times the preservation technologies developed
were drying, smoking, chilling and heating. Later man knew the skill to control these
technologies. In the nineteenth century Pasteur made it possible for the people to
understand how to manage food preservation methods like heating, chilling and
freezing. He provided sound basis for more systematic monitoring and control. In
ancient times people used salt, spices and sugar to preserve foods. Unfortunately, due
to the use of chemicals for preservation like boron or cumarine led to misuse.

People even cooked the food in the bamboo or clay pot and cooked the food with
wood that they burned. In modern life, people formulate many modern cooking tools
from metal. That makes cooking handy. Modern stove with high technology are also
invented. So the food can be cooked fast and easily. Here is the comparison between
new and old food preserving techniques:
Old food preserving techniques
Here are some of the techniques that were used in ancient times to preserve food.
1.Sun drying
Sun drying is a method that is used traditionally to lessen the moisture content of
raw food by spreading it in the sun. The solar radiation heats the food up as well as
the air and increases the rate of water evaporating from the food. This method still
works in areas of strong sunlight and low humidity. It makes the foods lightweight
and convenient to store. Sun dried foods are better reserves of energy and nutrition,
as moisture is the only thing that is lost during preservation.
But there are some limitations of sun drying i.e. it is not possible at night or during

Panopticon Watchtower
Foucault himself uses the example of the watchtower in prisons when he describes
what the panopticon is. From the tower, you can see all of the prison cells, but the
prisoners cannot see the guards, and hence cannot see if they are being watched at
any given time. They do know that there is a possibility, and therefore, they self
monitor and restrict their behaviors accordingly. This way, the power becomes as
much of an internal factor in the prisoners as it is an external factor from the guards.
One could argue that the Panopticon is very relevant and present in today s society,
for example in the fact that the Internet is being monitored, and your conversations
online are being logged. You are never sure if anyone will see what you re writing,

The Republican Party Essay
Though the Republican Party was founded on pro minority ideals and continued to
have the support of minorities its reputation quickly began to change. Wagner (2007)
states that during the early late 1800s and the early 1900s, Republican support
weakened among the working class. In addition, many Americans, including a sizable
number of Republicans, believed that American society had lost its moral fiber. As a
result of these factors, many Republicans became affiliated with the Progressive
Movement, a reform movement designed to assist the working class attain better

Rueter (1995) provides a detailed look into the world of politics during the civil
rights era. Rueter asserts that prior to the civil rights era, the Republican Party was
not as effective in gaining rights for minorities compared to proposals made by the
Democratic Party in the 1960s. He states that it was clear to minorities that the
Democratic Party was more supportive of civil rights versus Republicans due to their
lack of voting support of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of
1965. Because of this, Republicans were seen as being against minorities due to their
lack of cooperation with the Democratic Party to end segregation and with President
Johnson to allow equal voting rights (240 1). The Civil Rights Act of 1964 barred
unequal application of voter registration requirements, outlawed discrimination in
public accommodations engaged in interstate commerce, encouraged the
desegregation of public schools and authorized the U. S. Attorney General to file suits
to force desegregation, authorized the withdrawal of federal funds from programs
which practiced discrimination, and outlawed discrimination in employment in any
business (Loevy 1997, 211 3). According to Klarman (2004) the civil rights
movement caused southerners to cling to the Republican Party and gave the
Democratic Party more momentum to further support minority interests. The

The science of climate change and how combined cycle power plants will slow its

Abstract
The increase in the emission of greenhouse gases has led to the increase in climate
change; the consequence of unchecked pollution, where carbon emissions caused by
human activity enters the air and causes negative impacts on the environment. One of
the many negative impacts could be the change in the current state of the ocean and
the melting of the cryosphere. One of the ways to combat the increase in climate
change may be the addition of the combined cycle power plants and how its efficient

All of these factors, ultimately, affect the distribution, abundance, breeding cycle and
migration of marine plants and animals that millions of people rely on for food and
income.
Cryosphere The plant s frozen areas are some of the most sensitive to climate
change, as climate change starts to increase, the mass loss of ice in these areas starts
to increase leading to major problems such as the major problem of water levels
rising.
One of the ways the world is trying to fight back the increase in the greenhouse gas
emission (GHG) is through the use of combined cycle power plants used to created
energy for the population. A gas turbine generator produces electricity and waste heat
is used to make steam to generate additional electricity through a steam turbine. The
gas turbine is one of the most efficient one of the conversion of gas fuels to
mechanical power or electricity,
Through the research of the science of climate change, it is important to look at this
topic as early as possibly can as it is the key to being able to change and make notice
the way human kind acts on climate change.

Black Mold Essay
Stachybotrys Chartarum or more commonly known as Black Mold is by definition a
possibly toxic mold that can produce toxins called mycotoxins. Mycotoxins are
produced by specific strains of mold which when found in food can cause foodborne
illness, which in some cases may become fatal. There are varying mycotoxins found
within fungi but this is one of the deadlier mycotoxins versus other mycotoxins,
trichothecene. Despite the fact that many people do have moldallergies, this isn t an

Essay about Campbell Soup Company Audit
Campbell Soup Company
Background
Campbell was founded shortly before the start of the Civil War. Abraham Anderson
and Joseph Campbell began manufacturing canned vegetables and fruit preserves. In
1976, Campbell bought out Anderson s interest and renamed the firm the Joseph
Campbell Preserving Company. Later, Arthur Dorrance was Campbell s new partner.
In the early 1920s, John Dorrance, Arthur Dorrance s nephew, was the sole owner of
the Campbell Soup Company, which was the largest producer of canned soup
products. Unfortunately, as the twentieth century was coming to a close, the nation s
appetite for condensed soup products was waning. The weakening demand prompted
the company s executives to use an assortment of questionable ... Show more content

Trade Loading
Campbell offered sizable trade discounts near the end of accounting period to
entice customers to make product purchases that they would otherwise defer. By
this way, a company can use price concessions to prop up its reported revenues and
profits. Plaintiffs pointed out that PwC auditors were aware of the excessive trade
loading by their client and this should have been a red flag for PwC to investigate
the possibility that their client was fraudulently misrepresenting its operating
results. The judge agree with the plaintiffs that PwC s workpapers revealed the
firm was aware of Campbell s disproportionately sales near the end of quarterly
reporting periods. However, the he disagreed with the assertion that PwC should
have considered those heavy sales a red flag. Instead, he pointed out that PwC s
workpapers referred to the large, period ending sales as a traditional trend in
Campbell s operating results.
This traditional trend may apply to Campbell s business environment, but may not to
other industry. An auditor had better understand the industry environment he or she
involves in to judge whether disproportionately sales near the end of quarterly
reporting periods are normal or not.
Improper Accounting for Loading Discount
Whether PwC would remain a defendant was whether the audit firm realized that large
The Trojan War In The Illiad
Since the ancient times, humans have been fascinated with stories and mythology,
things that are regarded as fictional yet compelling because of the quality of the
character s character and the plot obscurely grounded in reality. As newer
technologies and the myths of old collide, fascinating discoveries and links are made,
especially in one most notable tale: the Trojan War. While historians and literary
scholars continue to examine the most famous account of this war the Illiad more
insight is gathered about the authentic time frame, setting, causes, characters,
resolutions, ramifications, and resounding themes of this event. Furthermore, some
scholars extend beyond the war itself and dissect the journey of Odysseus, one of
Greek mythology s epic heroes also introduced in the telling of the Trojan War, all in
hopes of finding what elements these timeworn pieces of literature can offer to today
s world, and what exactly happened all those centuries ago. Now, from these
discoveries of new archaeological, geographical, and historical evidences, modern day
historians are reexamining the truthfulness of Homer s myths. To establish anything
as true, of course, naturally lends itself to the question of where and when the event
happened. The Trojan War is not an exception to this convention, and fortunately,
most historians agree that a site in northwestern Turkey, known as Hisarlik, is the
most probable location of ancient Troy. In this site, which was discovered by Heinrich
Philip Larkin s Faith Healing Essay
How typical in terms of subject, theme, structure and versification is Faith Healing
by Larkin? Philip Larkin s Faith Healing In 1964, Philip Larkin published his third
book of poetry, entitled The Whitsun Weddings . One of the many critically
acclaimed poems was Faith Healing . In this essay, I intend to explore how typical
this poem is in terms of subject, theme, structure and versification. In Faith Healing,
women flock to an American Faith Healer for a blessing. The persona of the poem
is written from an outsider s point of view, looking in at this sight. Faith Healing is
divided into three stanzas, each of ten lines. Iambic pentameter is used to give 5
major stresses to each of the 10 lines. The three stanzas... Show more content on

By now, all s wrong . It is interesting to note that with all 3 of these poems, Larkin
adopts a personal persona. He is omniscient; in Mr Bleaney, it is as though he is a
man looking for accommodation; in Here, it is as though he is the one on a
journey and in Faith Healing, he is present, observing this spectacle. Therefore, I
feel that Mr Bleaney and Here are closely linked to Faith Healing in terms of
structure and versification. Faith Healing is an ambiguous poem that seems
critical of religion. At the start of the poem, many flock to the Faith Healer but by
the third stanza, the 20 seconds with the American seem to have ruined their lives.
They have had their true feelings and emotions unlocked and have realised that
they have never really been loved. An immense slackening ache. Spreads slowly
through them . The Faith Healer thaws these emotions and we see the women
suffer a sense of real loneliness and depression as this reality dawns. This strongly
correlates with the theme in Mr Bleaney, a poem exploring loneliness and the fear
in which it evokes. In the poem, we are told of Mr Bleaney s old room that is
cheap and not cared for. The persona explores Bleaney s life. Ironically, he finds he
can identify with him in some respects. So it happens

The Gospel Of Valentinus
My class presentation is on the early Gnostic theologian Valentinus. He claimed to
know a truth that he revealed by writing a text called the gospel of truth. The truth in
this writing claims that there is a correct way of life that only Jesus knows. This truth
comes forth into the world in the person of JesusChrist. Jesus is the savior because
He holds the totality of this truth from the Father in Himself. For some people, they
were overcome by darkness which resulted in their forgetfulness. They experienced
this because they did not know the Father. Their forgetfulness would disappear once
they saw Jesus, and the fog that blocked them from seeing the truth and would
disappear too. When Jesus came into the world, error was angry that Jesus led
people to the path of truth with this knowledge He gave them. Jesus was then
crucified on the cross by error. In Jesus trials, He embodied great courage because of
the extent He went to bring this knowledge to others. Jesus went through the cross by
remaining present with the people who had the forgetfulness, and He announced the...

The Gospel of Thomas teaches Gnosticism along with Valentinus. For a person, the
spirit in the body is good, but not the body. It also explains that all the matter in the
world is not good. This applies to Valentinus when he explained that people who do
not know this knowledge have bad experiences like forgetfulness. The Gospel of
Thomas is also similar to the gospel of truth when it reveals that Jesus was the
giver of this secret knowledge. In this gospel, Jesus freed the material world by
revealing this knowledge. Jesus was no different from anyone else, except He held
in His body the secret knowledge that man does not have when they are in the
material world. Jesus goal in the Gospel of Thomas then was to tell man how to be
united with the Father, just like in the gospel of truth by
Animal Sympathy In Animals
Animal sympathy is the ability of animals to form connections and feel the emotions
of other organisms and to sympathize with their owners and their animal counterparts.
Animal sympathy is rarely considered or just investigated among a limited number of
species, such as whales. This is mostly because the humanaspect in the relationship
between man and animalis usually mentioned by the written media as it is more
likely easier to understand by the targeted audience. However, it is also important to
understand the emotional viewpoint of animals, especially those which are an
integral part to human existence and society, as it can help foster a better
understanding in every human being, regardless of whether or not he or she interacts
with animals.
Before the presence of sympathy in animals can be discussed, one should understand
the definition of the concept of sympathy itself. Sympathy is a rather easy concept
to act upon but difficult to decipher accurately. Through sympathy, one might aid a
person in distress for no self benefit but purely due to good nature. According to
philosopher Adam Smith in The Theory of Moral Sentiments, every person on this
Earth has the capability to feel or even automatically be affected by a wave of
sympathy at least once in his or her lifetime. As Smith states, How selfish soever man
may be supposed, there are evidently some principles in his nature, which interest him
in the fortune of others, and render their happiness necessary to him,

Insanity In De Bernier s The Duce
De Bernier s uses a theme of madness to illustrate his views on war. Madness is,
personified by Mussolini, who is depicted bluntly in the chapter, The Duce . The
chapters portrays at an early stage the miserable state of affairs that force the
Italians into conflict and invasion, all due to the whim of an insane who considers
the lives of people on the same level as his own trivial domestic affairs, Greece is a
totalitarian state that should naturally be on our side...I can t stand cats. What do
you mean, it saves on mousetraps? Don t tell me when I can or cannot use my
revolver indoors. The rhythm of his speech and the fact it is often in short and
uncalculated outbursts emphasises Mussolini s complete and utter insanity. It is
significant to notice that we never see an exchange of dialogue, indicating that
Mussolini is as much speaking to himself as he commanding people, creating an
even greater sense of madness. The use of contrasting tones here is used by De
Bernier to create the impression of a simple minded man, typical to his short
attention span. De Bernier s presentation of Mussolini may not unsettle the reader as

It also shows her trying to save herself from persecution of these people also. She
changes the names of the people within her story, and writes under a different
name to save herself from being found out. She seems to still want to protect her
children and her family still in the South. Harriet Jacobs says, I have not written
my experiences in order to attract attention to myself; on the contrary, it would have
been more pleasant to me to have been silent about my own history. Harriet is
correct in this statement she could have sat back and let slavery go on without her
stating what happened to her. She wants to bring awareness in the North about the
conflicting stories Southern s are telling about slavery. Harriet Jacobs preface opens
a Pandora s box about the true integrity of herself as an African American women
living in the South during the period of slavery. In the editor s notes about the author
it gives Harriet Jacobs story even more creditability to her true life story.
Next, the editor s introduction shows her passion for being an activist against
slavery. During this period of history of African Americans story to be authentically

What is Hacking?
In the early days of computing, a hacker was primarily referred to as a computer guru,

Highway Project Review
Auckland, a highly populated city in New Zealand experiences traffic problems
frequently. This problems needs to be resolved through development of a roadsystem
that would tackle challenges imposed by the population. Auckland Transport manages
road projects in the city. One of the projects in Auckland city that is underway by
Auckland Transport (AT) is the upgrade of Dominion Road project. AT inherited this
project from the Auckland city council, which had earlier undertaken public
consultation for a proposed upgrade to Dominion Road. Key concerns from the
earlier consultation undertaken by the Auckland City Council included loss of on
street parking, and concerns that use of bus lanes by other vehicles would create four
lane highway. AT in its design includes the concerns raised and has engaged both the
public, including the potentially affected residents, and other key stakeholders from
the government and the private sector. AT has opened a feedback process in which
views about the improvement of Dominion road are collected to be examined and
possibly to be approved and included in the final design.
Upgrading the dominion road will bring
Kaiser Permanente Executive Summary
Kaiser Permanente s a company that was registered to deliver healthcare services
to individuals who are geographically distributed. The organization is dedicated to
increasing the medical quality for its members and their immediate environment.
The firm has been operating for sixty years, it evolved from programs that were
operating in the industrial sector especially shipyards, construction, and steel mill
workers in the late 1930s (Kaiser, 2015). In 1945 it was opened for the enrolment
of the public who wanted to get their services. The enterprise started with one
surgeon and a hospital that had twelve beds in Mojave Desert. The managing
director (MD), Sidney Garfield, observed the young people who were involved in
different development projects. The MD took a loan to cater for his expenses as he
started building the Project of Colorado River Aqueduct since he noticed an
opportunity. As the operations begun, most individuals were not in a position of...

Doctor Garfield made enough money that enabled him to start increasing the levels
of services especially health care delivery systems and safety, this measures made
many people to enroll to the institute hence increasing revenue for the firm. The
investor was contracted by an industrialist to make sure that the workers received a
medical cover from his working center forcing him to turn his hospital to a better
facility. Additionally, he added the number of workers that included, doctors and
nurses who worked in group practice that was prepaid to ensure that there was a
reliable workflow throughout the day. The organization has recorded increase in
subscriptions in different states within the United States of America. Table 1 below

The Relationship Between Stella And Stanley In A
Streetcar...
Stella and Stanley s relationship is not the typical marriage not even for the 1940s.
Williams makes this evident when Stella and Stanley have their first encounter in the
play.
Stanley yells out at Stella and when she comes to him she tells him not to yell at her
but, he
completely ignores that and throws a package of meat at her telling her to catch.
Stella just
laughed it off and wanted to go watch him bowl. This scene allows you to see their
dynamic with
each other. She ignores his verbal abuse and it shows how dominate he is in this
relationship. I
think Williams does this to show us how men and women engaged with one another
in the
1940s. Men were the dominate ones, while women just followed them like they were
the men s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stanley doesn t like that and this intense conflict starts to erupt. Stanley stalks fiercely
through the portieres into the bedroom, he crosses to the small white radio and
snatches it off the
table. With a shouted oath, he tosses the instrument out the window (Williams, pg.
1840).
Williams uses this stage direction to show us the temper that Stanley has which
ultimately leads
to him hitting Stella. She backs out of sight. He advances and disappears. There is
the sound of
a blow, Stella cries out (Williams, pg. 1840). You notice Williams puts these stage
directions
off stage. Showing physical abuse or even seeing it was not common in the 1940s. I
think that s
why Williams put it in the play so he can bring awareness to the issue but maybe he
hid the scene
so we can picture it for ourselves. It gave people especially during this time a chance
to notice
the issue and to visual it for themselves. Williams is essentially putting us in Stella
shoes so we
can have more of an understanding of this issue and realize it does happen no matter
the time
period. Williams also sheds light on how people can react to this issue by having the
other
characters normalizing it after this scene accrued. Mitch then said, poker should not be

  • 2. The Pros And Cons Of Football What is football? Football is a sport where you can shine and show your potential talent. For most people football is not just a game; it is more than that, it is a job as much as it is a lifestyle. For most athletes, when you step out onto the field you forget what is really going on in your life. However, for a professional quarterback, you cannot just forget about the world and play the sport. The quarterback has many responsibilities since they are the most valuable player on the field, so they cannot lose their mind in the chaos of the game. Being a quarterback is already a hard role, which is why there are limited amount of great quarterbacks in the National Football League. There are many great quarterbacks in the spotlight, which is why they get all the blame for the wrongdoing. However, out of all the quarterbacks in the National Football League, the real question is which can prove himself to be the best player, Peyton Manningor Tom Brady? Peyton Manning is 6 5 and 230 pounds at the age of 39 and has 18 seasons as a quarterback in the Nation Football League( Peyton Manning Biography para.1). He has broken all kinds of National Football League records. • 3. The, But For Test, By Hart And Honero And Developed By Wright Tort Essay. The but for test, although it often yields the right answer, does not always do so. Use the airline case in the conclusion Causation has been subject to copious amounts of judicial and academic debate over the last six decades. The trend being that but for causation is good as far as it goes, but it does not go far enough and there is a need to modify its structure in cases that do not have a simple yes or no answer to causation. This essay explores the development of the but for test s modification through the case law specifically the exception in Fairchild and other cases relating to asbestos exposure as well as briefly considering the reaction of the Lords to the issue of loss of chance. Over the course of employment the respondent had been exposed to two sources of this dust; swing grinders and pneumatic hammers, the latter being an innocent exposure and the former being negligent. Due to uncertainty as to which exposure was the actual cause of the disease the normal but for test would be unworkable. Lord Reid gave the leading judgement in the case and avoided the issues of the but for test by creating the Wardlaw test of material contribution to injury It appears to me that the source of his disease was the dust from both sources, and the real question is whether the dust from the swing grinders materially contributed to the disease. He went on to say: A contribution which comes within the exception de minimis non curat lexis not material, but I think that any contribution which does not fall within that exception must be material From his lordships judgement it is clear that the claimant only has to demonstrate that the guilty dust had made a material contribution to the disease, which they did. The next case to discuss is McGhee v National Coal Board here the claimant developed dermatitis while working in brick kilns and being exposed to dust and ash. There was medical evidence to suggest that the risk of developing dermatitis would be materially reduced if the claimant had the chance to shower, washing off the dust. This case is different to Wardlaw in the sense that the negligence wasn t a cause in the same way

Moreover, the case study said that it may be a good five years before strategy can be assessed properly (Waddell Waddell, Cummings Worley 2014). On the other hand, Lewin s change model or action research model is not suitable for David Jones case because of focusing on more problems in the organisation than concentrating on retail environmental changes. The result of implementation of Lewin s change model or action research model would be led to the strategic failure. The possibility of positive model of planned change for David Jones makes it necessary for the company to use positive model. 3. • 6. Children Exhibit Behaviors That Are Associated With... Children exhibit behaviors that are associated with Bipolar Disorder (BPD) as early as 2 years of age. However, many children are not diagnosed until older due to the subjectivity of diagnosing children with mental disorders while their brains are still developing. This leads to a prolonged delay in diagnosis and treatment. However, with recent research, we are able to view and compare brain structures of those with BPD to those who are not affected by BPD. By MRI and fMRI scans, there are regions in the brain that are associated with BPD at certain sizes and activity levels. Individuals with Bipolar show decreased brain volumes in emotion related neurocircuitry, such as the amygdala and the prefrontal cortical regions (Marrus, Bell, Luby, 2014). With being able to see structural abnormalities within the brain we are also able to determine if treatments for these disorders are effective. With the use of proper medication, volumetric differences occur in the regions of the brain that are associated with BPD and therefore provide evidence that brain structure abnormalities can be normalized with medication. However, even with treatment, individuals with BPD tend to follow the trend that they are still more susceptible to drug abuse, aggressive behavior, and binge drinking later on in life (Swendsen et al., 2010). Additionally, BPD used to always be considered the sole mental illness an individual had but recently it has been shown that BPD is comorbid with other diseases,

Abstract Conflicts occur on a daily basis, throughout all levels of society. Conflicts often bring about intense emotional reactions, which may strongly affect the individuals involved. Given that conflicts are often infused with emotions, it is important to understand how these emotions may shape conflict development and resolution. Emotions play a pervasive role in our actions on a daily basis. Positive emotions such as happiness and empathy can influence our actions to make us better human beings whereas negative emotions such as anger and fear, if not harnessed well, can hold us back from achieving our true potential. But when it comes to Negotiation, time and time again, common wisdom has proven that emotion of any nature, whether positive or negative should be kept out of it as it can only hamper the end results of the negotiation and skew the results in the opposing party s favor. This is because emotions reduce people s ability to process information quickly. This simply means that they don t take the time or effort to explore out of the box solutions or creative options. Important facts or clues may be missed out, which can lead to a loss of leverage in negotiation. This study is meant to examine the adverse effects internal conflict and emotions play when brought into the negotiation process. Why was this subject chosen? Negotiation has been studied from many

  • 10. Why Dr. Brooke Winner Essay I had to opportunity to shadow Dr. Brooke Winner on December 2, 2016, from the hours of ten o clock to two thirty. She is an OBGYN with her speciality areas being in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gynecologic Surgery, and Robotic Surgery. Upon entering her office at 1110 Highlands Plaza East, suite #220, I was directed to the second floor where one of the office managers placed me inside of her office, that she shared with another OBGYN, a male, named Dr. Biest. Upon her arrival to meet up with me, she smiled while holding one finger up, and speedily accounted one of her patient s information into a tape recorder. It was a surreal event to watch. Dr. Winner received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University in 2001, and then took an astounding three year break before even beginning medical school. Interestingly, she decided to enter onto the pre med track later in college and so she applied later as well, which accounted for one year of her break. However, being from Alaska, one of her desires was to go to the University of Washington in Seattle, as it was considered a state medical school because Alaska did not have one. She applied there, but was rejected. Columbia University, however, did accept her, but she did not want to go there, as she viewed it as being halfway across the country from her. So she asked to defer her enrollment and surprisingly, they allowed it. So, in that year

The smallest denomination in the U.S. worth only one cent, has been a part of this country for hundreds of years. This coinage has brought a significant effect on our strong American economy. But a problem has been brought up within the last couple decades on whether or not the penny shall be abolished or not. The penny has historical importance and is appreciated more than people believe pennies to be To the average person the penny only has one value and that is in the sense of the economy. If asked many people say the penny is worth one cent. Which it is but the penny has more than the economic value it exemplifies the history of the U.S. In source G, Pennies, it shows the two types of pennies one from the past around 1793 and one from the present. These two visuals show that the penny has been around for more than 200 years. It also shows that the penny has meaning to the people because there has been time taken to remodel and enhance the visual appeal. The present visual of the penny can be described as sentimental to the citizens of the United States because of the person that is on the penny. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of this country is the face of the copper coin. The penny has a job to pay homage to one of this country s most important presidents. How do ACE inhibitors help in HF? [k] ACE inhibitors prevent the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor. This results in systemic vasodilation, thereby reducing preload (reducing the volume of blood entering the left ventricle) and afterload (reducing the resistance to the left ventricular contraction) in patients in HF. вњЅ Instructor Note: You could tell the students that the most frequent side effect of ACE inhibitors is a persistent, nonproductive cough.
  • 19. The Fifth Child by Doris Lessing The Fifth Child is the masterpiece of Nobel Prize winner Doris Lessing. Lessing herself described it as a horror story, but we can also put it into the genre of social psychological novels. She declared: I hated writing it. It was sweating blood. I was very glad when it was done. It was an upsetting thing to write obviously, it goes very deep into me somewhere. It is a brilliant novel which deals not just with the social aspect of familylife in England at the end of 19th century but with human psyches in general. Harriet and David Lovatt are a conventional and traditional couple who met at the office party and immediately fell in love because of the similar interests that they share. One of their common desires is to have a pretty family house in the country and produce a large family of six or eight children. All of their friends, family members and relatives are completely shocked by their odd wish. Slowly they start building a family life; they buy a huge house in the country, and have the first baby. Ever since they have their first baby their house is full of family members, relatives and friends for every holiday, just like they have always dreamed of. Besides the fact that Harriet does not have easy pregnancies and all the work she has to do makes her completely exhausted, she enjoys having a house full of people and to impose on them with her perfect life. Everything is just like Harriet and David Lovatt have always dreamed; they have four cute,

They will often stand straight up and speak loudly, they are not afraid to tell you what they know. When you ask them questions, they will answer with full certainty that the answer given is correct. If a professor walks in slouched over, quietly spoken, and appears unsure; you know that they are insecure and will be hesitant to answer your questions. When you are walking in a crowd, you look around and see someone who is walking fast and has a straight face, you know that persons mood is determination. It makes the foods lightweight and convenient to store. Sun dried foods are better reserves of energy and nutrition, as moisture is the only thing that is lost during preservation. But there are some limitations of sun drying i.e. it is not possible at night or during

Rueter asserts that prior to the civil rights era, the Republican Party was not as effective in gaining rights for minorities compared to proposals made by the Democratic Party in the 1960s. He states that it was clear to minorities that the Democratic Party was more supportive of civil rights versus Republicans due to their lack of voting support of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Because of this, Republicans were seen as being against minorities due to their lack of cooperation with the Democratic Party to end segregation and with President Johnson to allow equal voting rights (240 1). The Civil Rights Act of 1964 barred unequal application of voter registration requirements, outlawed discrimination in public accommodations engaged in interstate commerce, encouraged the desegregation of public schools and authorized the U. As newer technologies and the myths of old collide, fascinating discoveries and links are made, especially in one most notable tale: the Trojan War. While historians and literary scholars continue to examine the most famous account of this war the Illiad more insight is gathered about the authentic time frame, setting, causes, characters, resolutions, ramifications, and resounding themes of this event. Furthermore, some scholars extend beyond the war itself and dissect the journey of Odysseus, one of Greek mythology s epic heroes also introduced in the telling of the Trojan War, all in hopes of finding what elements these timeworn pieces of literature can offer to today s world, and what exactly happened all those centuries ago. Now, from these discoveries of new archaeological, geographical, and historical evidences, modern day historians are reexamining the truthfulness of Homer s myths. It is interesting to note that with all 3 of these poems, Larkin adopts a personal persona. He is omniscient; in Mr Bleaney, it is as though he is a man looking for accommodation; in Here, it is as though he is the one on a journey and in Faith Healing, he is present, observing this spectacle. Therefore, I feel that Mr Bleaney and Here are closely linked to Faith Healing in terms of structure and versification. Faith Healing is an ambiguous poem that seems critical of religion. At the start of the poem, many flock to the Faith Healer but by the third stanza, the 20 seconds with the American seem to have ruined their lives. They have had their true feelings and emotions unlocked and have realised that they have never really been loved. An immense slackening ache. Spreads slowly through them . The Faith Healer thaws these emotions and we see the women suffer a sense of real loneliness and depression as this reality dawns. This strongly correlates with the theme in Mr Bleaney, a poem exploring loneliness and the fear in which it evokes. In the poem, we are told of Mr Bleaney s old room that is cheap and not cared for. The persona explores Bleaney s life. Ironically, he finds he can identify with him in some respects. So it happens

Main Body A breathalyzer ignition interlock device which is an electronic device that is used to measure and test the blood alcohol content in a person s blood stream before allowing for a vehicle s ignition system to be started up. Essentially it is a device that is installed in a vehicle s dashboard and before the vehicle can be started up, the driver must breathe into the device. If the analysed result is over a programmed predetermined blood alcohol concentration that has been preset into the breathalyzer ignition interlock, the car would not start. This device will also keep a record of the activity on the device and is interlocked with the vehicle s electrical system as an anti tampering, security and monitoring feature. The flow of the breathalyzer ignition interlock is demonstrated in the flow chart in Figure 3 and the block diagram in Figure 3. This problems needs to be resolved through development of a roadsystem that would tackle challenges imposed by the population. Auckland Transport manages road projects in the city. One of the projects in Auckland city that is underway by Auckland Transport (AT) is the upgrade of Dominion Road project. AT inherited this project from the Auckland city council, which had earlier undertaken public consultation for a proposed upgrade to Dominion Road. Key concerns from the earlier consultation undertaken by the Auckland City Council included loss of on street parking, and concerns that use of bus lanes by other vehicles would create four lane highway. AT in its design includes the concerns raised and has engaged both the public, including the potentially affected residents, and other key stakeholders from the government and the private sector. AT has opened a feedback process in which views about the improvement of Dominion road are collected to be examined and possibly to be approved and included in the final design. Upgrading the dominion road will bring
  • 43. Kaiser Permanente Executive Summary Kaiser Permanente s a company that was registered to deliver healthcare services to individuals who are geographically distributed. The organization is dedicated to increasing the medical quality for its members and their immediate environment. The firm has been operating for sixty years, it evolved from programs that were operating in the industrial sector especially shipyards, construction, and steel mill workers in the late 1930s (Kaiser, 2015). In 1945 it was opened for the enrolment of the public who wanted to get their services. The enterprise started with one surgeon and a hospital that had twelve beds in Mojave Desert. The managing director (MD), Sidney Garfield, observed the young people who were involved in different development projects. The MD took a loan to cater for his expenses as he started building the Project of Colorado River Aqueduct since he noticed an opportunity. As the operations begun, most individuals were not in a position of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Doctor Garfield made enough money that enabled him to start increasing the levels of services especially health care delivery systems and safety, this measures made many people to enroll to the institute hence increasing revenue for the firm. The investor was contracted by an industrialist to make sure that the workers received a medical cover from his working center forcing him to turn his hospital to a better facility. Additionally, he added the number of workers that included, doctors and nurses who worked in group practice that was prepaid to ensure that there was a reliable workflow throughout the day. The organization has recorded increase in subscriptions in different states within the United States of America. Table 1 below shows the distribution of
  • 44. The Relationship Between Stella And Stanley In A Streetcar... Stella and Stanley s relationship is not the typical marriage not even for the 1940s. Williams makes this evident when Stella and Stanley have their first encounter in the play. Stanley yells out at Stella and when she comes to him she tells him not to yell at her but, he completely ignores that and throws a package of meat at her telling her to catch. Stella just laughed it off and wanted to go watch him bowl. This scene allows you to see their dynamic with each other. She ignores his verbal abuse and it shows how dominate he is in this relationship. I think Williams does this to show us how men and women engaged with one another in the 1940s. Men were the dominate ones, while women just followed them like they were the men s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Stanley doesn t like that and this intense conflict starts to erupt. Stanley stalks fiercely through the portieres into the bedroom, he crosses to the small white radio and snatches it off the table. With a shouted oath, he tosses the instrument out the window (Williams, pg. 1840). Williams uses this stage direction to show us the temper that Stanley has which ultimately leads to him hitting Stella. She backs out of sight. He advances and disappears. There is the sound of a blow, Stella cries out (Williams, pg. 1840). You notice Williams puts these stage directions off stage. Showing physical abuse or even seeing it was not common in the 1940s. I think that s

It gave people especially during this time a chance to notice the issue and to visual it for themselves. Williams is essentially putting us in Stella shoes so we can have more of an understanding of this issue and realize it does happen no matter the time period. Williams also sheds light on how people can react to this issue by having the other characters normalizing it after this scene accrued. Mitch then said, poker should not be
