Media has evolved over four ages from prehistoric times to today's information age. In the prehistoric age, cave paintings and drawings were early forms of communication. The industrial age saw developments like the alphabet, writing, and paper. The electronic age brought instant communication technologies like the telegraph, telephone, radio, and television. Today's information age is characterized by digital and internet-based media like computers, smartphones, and social media, allowing for near-instant sharing of information globally.
