1. What have you learned from your audience feedback?
To complete my audience feedback, I conducted a survey/ questionnaire using
google forms, which I have sent out to sixth form student in order to receive their
responses on my music video feedback.
The survey was sent out in the morning, and by 2PM I have received 20 responses,
and a further 6 responses until the next morning. The responses were very helpful
as I was able to see my audience’s opinion on my music video.
The questions I have chosen to use are
simple and easily understood by everyone including students that do not take
media as an A level.
1st question:
2. The first question is very straightforward, asking if my music video fits the
conventions and includes elements of the pop genre. 61.5% of people said that my
video does fit the conventions of pop genre, 19.2% also said that mostly the video
does include elements of the pop genre. Only 19% were unsure, which shows that
most of the people completing my survey have some knowledge of the pop genre
and its convention.
2nd question:
My second question is asking if the lyrics of the music video match with what is
going on visually, on the screen. 57.7% of the people said yes, another 34.6%
stating that it mostly matches, which can be interpreted that they have
understood the message I have displayed through my music video and song
choice. One person said that the lyrics did not match the video and what they
were implying, this can not really be interpreted as the reason is unknown, fault
being that when I have conducted the survey, I did not include an option for them
to explain why it doesn't fit.
3. 3rd Question
My third question is using a scale response. We can see that most of the people
have said that the connection between the song choice and the video is from 7
upwards, on a scale from 1 to 10.
4th Question
The responses to this question show that most people believe that there were
enough camera shots, angles and movement used in my music video.
4. 5th question
THis question simply requests an opinion of the responder on my music video. As
the results show, most people enjoyed the music video very much, and only one
person scored it as a 2 out of 5.
