2. Question 1
• There was a similar amount
of males and females who
took part in my survey which
was useful as it would give
me opinions from different
points of view, opposed to if
it was all from one gender.
3. Question 2
• Everybody who took part
in my survey fitted within
the age range of 17 – 21
which was a good age to
receive feedback from as
my music video appealed
to people of this age and it
was good to see their
opinions of it.
4. Question 3
• There was a variety of answers
for the people’s preferred genre
of music which is helpful as it
they could give an opinion on
my music video despite not
having an interest in the genre
of the song.
5. Question 4
• The majority of people thought
the video represented the song
well. This was important as I
had to reflect the theme and
tone of the song and I felt I had
successfully done this.
6. Question 5
• Three quarters of the people who
took part in the survey felt it was
professional. My aim for this
project was to create a high
quality and professional looking
video and I feel this has been
done.
7. Question 6
• It is important to make the
video appeal to the target
audience of the song, and
people’s opinions show that I
have appealed to the target
audience well of males aged 12
– 20.
8. Question 7
• There was a variety of answers
from people when asked how
interesting the video was. Most of
the responses were at the higher
end of the scale with a few lower
down, with one person rating it
1/10 and 2 people rating it 5/10.
The majority of answers being
positive makes me feel that I have
created a quality standard music
video. It also tells me that there is
still improvement to be made to it.
9. Question 8
• One element I was unsure
about was the use of camera in
my video, specifically the use of
handheld and still shots as well
as the different camera shots
that were used. I received
mainly positive feedback on
this, but there is clearly still
room for improvement due to
there being negative feedback
on this question.
10. Question 9
• Towards the end of creating my
music video I added in a black
and white filter over the studio
shots to make the video more
interesting and less repetitive. I
feel incorporating this filter into
my music video has served its
purpose well as most people who
took part in the survey thought it
made the video more interesting.
11. Question 10 • The final question was a more
open one and gave the audience
the opportunity to express their
opinions more where they were
able to be specific and could give
both positive and negative
answers. Some responses were
very helpful, such as one person
saying that I should have filmed
in more locations, as the places
where I shot were very local.
Using the same locations
became repetitive and
predictable towards the end of
the video. This feedback will
help me when improving my
video.
