This document presents the results of an experimental study on the effect of styrene butadiene rubber latex and polypropylene fibers on the properties of cementitious materials. The study found that adding 1% polypropylene fibers increased the compressive strength of cement mortar by 10% and adding 2% styrene butadiene rubber latex increased compressive strength by 6.67%. The bond strength of concrete increased by up to 168.49% with the addition of 0.3% fibers and 20% latex. Using a polymer slurry layer also improved the bonding strength between old and new concrete more than using polymer alone. The study concluded that additions of polymer and fibers can improve various mechanical properties of cementitious materials.
