What is “ECOFRIENDLY CONSTRUCTION”?
 “Eco-friendly or Ecological construction” is
building a structure that is beneficial or non-
harmful to the environment, and resource
efficient.
 Eco-friendly construction has developed in
response to the knowledge that buildings have an
often negative impact upon our environment and
our natural resources.
 “GREEN BUILDING” is a Good example of
ECOFRIENDLY CONSTRUCTION.

 Growth in the construction industry that depends
upon Reducible resources.
 Production of building materials leads to irreversible
environmental impacts.
 Negative impact on the energy required to transport
Conventional Building Material, and also in emissions
of hazardous chemicals from a poorly designed
building.

What is “ECOFRIENDLY CONSTRUCTION”?  “Eco-friendly or Ecological construction” is building a structure that is beneficial or non- harmful to the environment, and resource efficient.  Eco-friendly construction has developed in response to the knowledge that buildings have an often negative impact upon our environment and our natural resources.  “GREEN BUILDING” is a Good example of ECOFRIENDLY CONSTRUCTION.

NEED  Growth in the construction industry that depends upon Reducible resources.  Production of building materials leads to irreversible environmental impacts.  Negative impact on the energy required to transport Conventional Building Material, and also in emissions of hazardous chemicals from a poorly designed building.
  • 5. OBJECTIVES & SCOPE  To Conservation of natural resources.  To Minimize impact on the local infrastructure.  To Reduction of construction waste sent to landfills.  To Develop new methods of work and manufacturing that are less harmful to the environment.

FEATURES  Reuse, Reduction & Low Emission are the Main Features of Green Building.  Low energy light bulbs, which can last up to 100 times longer than regular bulbs.  Locally-grown and harvested timber  Simple collection and recycling of rain water by Rainwater Harvesting System.  Use of solar panels.

  • 16. •Stunning Eco- Lodge in Spain. Built from tough European Oak which are highly insulated to withstand the harsh environment. Not even a single tree was felled to make way for the holiday homes. They are constructed totally from wood. It keeps the lodges comfortably cool in summer but warm in winter . A small family of eco- lodges in Spain could well be one of the most attractive sustainable development.
