Automated airfield controller system for avoiding air crashes in runwayIJRES Journal
This work is an attempt to develop an advanced technology in airport control systems. As the existing system is manually operated, it is difficult to find solutions for some unexpected problems, for example: fire accident, ice, rain, fog and snow which may occur on the runway during the landing of the flight, which leads to air crashes in the runway . To take protective measures, introducing an automatic system to detect whether the runway is safe before landing the flight and this system also takes protective measures until the flight completely stops in the Airport. GPS (Global Positioning System) is used for inform the user to about exact location of the landing zone in the runway. Stepper motor is used as barrier system to control entry for vehicles and human. Zigbee transceiver is used as wireless communication protocol between aircraft and airfield controller system.
We will introduce a development of a mini-quad rotor system for indoor application at Keokuk University. The propulsion system consists of X-UFO blade propellers and brushless direct current (DC) motors assembled on a very stiff ai rframe made of carbon fiber composite material. The attitude control system consists of a stab ility augmentation system as the inner loop control and a modern control approach as the outer lo op. The closed-loop contro l is a PID controller,which is used for the flight test to valid ate our aerodynamic mode ling. To perform an experimental flight test,basic electronics hardware will de velop in a simple configuration. We will use an AVR microcontroller as the embe dded controller,a low-cost 100 Hz AHRS for inertial sensing,infrared (IR) sensors for horizontal ranging,and an ultrasonic sensor for ground ranging. A high performance propeller system is built on an X-UFO quad rotor airframe. The developing flying robot is shown to have an automatic hovering ability with aid of a ground control system that uses mon itoring and a fail-safe system. We will introduce a new quad rotor platform for realizing autonomous navigation in unknown indoor/outdoor environments. Au tonomous waypoint navigation,obs tacle avoidance and flight control is implemented on-board. The system does not require a special environment,artificial markers or an external reference system. We will develop a monolithic,mechanically damped perception unit which is equipped with a stereo camera pair,an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU),two processor and an FPGA board.

As the rising of transportation system design, so many data logger design was developed for safety. In our country, there are
many accidents on highways. Both driver’s faults and road construction cause accidents. To reduce these condition some safety
system such as obstacle detection system, vehicle declination alarm system, temperature and smoke level display unit,
signboard warning on road sides should be used for both driver and passengers. In addition data logger system for whole
vehicle must be equipped for safety. With the implementation of PIC microcontroller as an Embedded device, this logger
design was constructed with many sensors and C# service-based database. Using Arduino boards, vehicle detection sensing
circuit, Check point radio signal sensing circuit for dangerous road sector, hall-effect magnetic wheel revolution sensing circuit
were designed to be connected with main PIC microcontroller and Personal Computer. Real time result was displayed on C#
Graphical User Interface and Vehicle data log could be easily exported to Microsoft Excel report.

Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
