This document outlines an assignment to teach 4th grade students about holiday traditions from different cultures and religions. There are 20 students, including 11 girls and 9 boys, with some from Muslim, Jewish, and African American backgrounds. The objectives are for students to describe two traditions from each represented group with 90% accuracy. Methods include having students bring pictures of traditions, watching YouTube videos, using children's books, blogs, Pinterest, QR codes linking to websites, and a class Facebook page. Students will make a digital image combining aspects of different cultures and write about what they learned. The teacher will evaluate student participation and knowledge and revise the lesson as needed.
