The document outlines an Assure Method for teaching 4th grade students about holiday traditions. There are 20 students from various religious backgrounds, including 2 Muslims, 3 Jewish students, and 2 African Americans. The plan is to teach about holidays in a non-biased way by separating students based on which holidays they do or do not celebrate. Students will create posters about each holiday and take turns reciting and describing holiday traditions and customs to their peers with 90% accuracy within a week. Their understanding will be evaluated through in-class activities where they explain holidays rather than through tests.

Assure Method
Teaching the holidays traditions to 4th graders. There are 20 students 11 girls and 9 boys. There are 2
muslims, 3 jewish, and 2 african Americas.
My Assure Method:
A: In terms of analyzing the learners, you obviously must take in to consideration the different religions
of the students. Given, there are those students who have their different religions, and I am assuming
the other students are of basically all the same religions. Seeing as those have different religions,
teaching the holidays will have to be with ease and restrictions in some sort to not make it all about
those who celebrate those holidays. Some learners may be more interested in their own holidays that
only their religions celebrates so will have to explain the other holidays non biased and very informative.
S:
A: The audience is the 4th grade class. Some students celebrate different holidays, so the class
will be separated into holiday’s that they don’t celebrate.
B: Student s will recite all the holidays within a week using pictures and describing each of the
holidays traditions.
C: When they see a picture, they will talk about what holiday it is and what you may do to
celebrate that holiday.
D: This will be done in 90% accuracy in one week.
S: The materials available will be most likely experiences by the teacher and through history books as
well. They will be explaining the holidays in a non-biased way. Students will create posters of each
holiday and can use those posters to help remember the holidays with ease.
U: The media could be used to enhance children’s knowledge of researching and finding material that is
factual.
R: Activities that could be used to continue to know the material would be to pick a student each week
to stand up at the beginning of class and tell them a holiday to explain or have them dress up to the
tradition and explain the holiday. You could even have the whole class do so.
E: Evaluate the students and how well they know the material but evaluating how well they can describe
the holiday traditions. No tests, just evaluate the activities you do in class and see how well they are
comprehending and explaining the holiday traditions.
