Stumbleupon is a website that provides users with news articles, blogs, images and other content related to their interests. The author chose to review Stumbleupon and signed up with interests including fitness. As a result, Stumbleupon sends the author daily workout posters and images that can be used in their physical education classroom, as well as information on innovative camping gear to share with students. Users can provide feedback on content with thumbs up or thumbs down to further refine their personalized recommendations.

Web 2.0 Application Review
For this assignment it was adventurous for me. I chose to review a Web 2.0 app that I
have never used before, stumbleupon. Stumbleupon, is a website that will produce
news articles, blogs, images, etc. in your application you have running based on your
interests when you select when you sign up. This was a cool concept to use because I
was able to choose a lot of my favorite subjects that interest me and can benefit my
Physical Education classroom. I chose fitness as one of my interests, and now I get
daily workout posters and images that have different workouts that I can use, and my
students can use in and out of class. It also sends me cool new innovative camping
gear that I can share with my students and allow more conversation and interest with
the students. If for some reason Stumbleupon gives you a page you do not like, it gives
you the option of a thumbs up or a thumbs down. If you choose a thumbs up it saves it
and will pull up more of the same content. Same way works when you choose a thumb
down, it will try not to send you content that is similar. It is a good way to even more
detail your likes and interests.
