Laa Lasher Research Paper
When you think of college, what images come to mind? Textbooks and biology homework? Football
games and late night cramming?
What about paintings or portraits or pottery? Photographs, animations or handmade attire? Maybe not
so much.
But on Thursday in the University of Central Florida s Visual Arts Building, students and families
witnessed a marriage of collegiate commitment and artistic determination as 33 of UCF s Bachelor s
of Fine Arts students displayed their work in a free of charge exhibit for the wide eyed general public.
Mounted sculptures sat as still as stone atop the shiny wooden floors, while self portraits and clay
figures decorated the tall, white walls of the gallery. Walk around for a bit and you would catch a
mother s stern warning to her child to absolutely not touch anything (though the large, partitioned
room did resemble a modern day cave of wonders). And among ... Show more content on

For Lasher, art is not only important for her personal enjoyment, but also in her battle against some
personal obstacles.
I struggle with anxiety, and for me, crocheting helps relieve my anxiety... Lasher, whose studies
specialize in sculpture, said. It s one of the few things that doesn t stress me out.
Lasher has a particular interest in soft sculpture, which is typically more fabric based and, as she
described, not super rigid. According to Lasher, much of what she does has a certain focus on what
she going through.
For me, the feelings just bottle up inside and I need to get them out somehow, Lasher said. And the
physical representation just makes me feel more at ease about what s happening in my life.
But not every piece in the gallery was assigned meaning by its artist. UCF senior and (you guessed it)
bachelors of fine arts major Vicky Boisvert said she had no deep purpose in her sculptures, though she
was open to others interpreting them at

The Social World
Sexualisation of the social world has become a very prominent social issue since the early 90 s. It has
affected many influential individuals in devastating ways such as that of eating disorders, body image
issues and mental illnesses. This essay will explore sociological explanations to understand and draw
conclusions on why the sexualisation of culture has and continues to occur today. I will explore
feminism and how it has influenced sexualisation of culture today and how pornography has
influenced todays pornification problems.
One sociological explanation for this is that of a multitude of factors related to that of feminism. In the
mid 1970s child abuse was brought to public eye by a group of second wave feminists also known as
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is the most significant of the factors that laid the ground for shift of sexualisation to become a
recognised social issue from its former clinical term (Fredrickson 1992).
However, positioning the innocence of a child to symbolise femininity began to counter benefit the
movement by setting the tone for the return of traditional family values. For example, the innocent girl
was remobilized to attack the legalization of child abortion, a goal that feminists had achieved years
earlier. This debacle however did provide the ideal social conditions for today s sexualisation problem
to be identified as in 1981 journalists were beginning to investigate the sudden sexualisation of young
females. Sexualisation being used to describe mal socialization which in fact separates children from
their natural essence causing premature entry in adult forms of sexual subjectivity. For example, that
of play makeup for girls (Schiro 1981).
Another sociological explanation that is provided for the pornification of media today is that of the
evolution of porn. Pornographic content has always been in existence with our culture with prehistoric
rock art dated before civilisation depicting sexual acts. This can also be seen in art work during the
Victorian era such as that of the painting by Édouard Manet titled Olympia which was a nude picture
of a French courtesan which

Dichotomy In Macbeth
Shakespeare sheds light on the dichotomy of good and evil with the connection of death. The motif of
light and dark is included each time someone is killed. Lady Macbeth associates the dark with evil and
sees it as protection to her in this violent state (lighten up!), Come, thick night... see not the wound it
makes, nor heaven peek through the blanket of the dark (33). She believes that by being concealed in
the shadows of the night, there will be no punishments in the afterlife for her uncivilized actions,
alluding to the fear surrounding religion. There s husbandry in heaven; their candles are all out (49).
Macbeth could surpass feeling of guilt or knowing his own regret if his conscience could be clouded
by the darkness of the night.

Thomas Paine s Impact On American Society And Culture
Thomas Paine had a great impact on American society during the time of the American Revolution.
Because of this, Thomas Paine has had more impact on American society and culture than any other
person in history for the three following reasons; he wrote Common Sense , a pamphlet advocating for
independence from Britain, The American Crisis , another pamphlet to encourage soldiers to keep
fighting, and he was the editor of the Pennsylvania Magazine. Without Paine we might still be under
British control.
Thomas Paine published Common Sense in 1776 to encourage the colonies to gain independence from
Great Britain. Common Sense turned out to be just the push the colonists needed to set the plan in
action and begin the quest for independence. Paine argues that the colonists have little to gain from
being attached to Great Britain and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He wrote all of these under the initials A.B. and other various pseudonyms. The Pennsylvania
Magazine was the only magazine issued to the colonists during 1775 and 1776 after the Royal
American Magazine ceased publication in May of 1775. Paine worked under Robert Aitken, a printer
for the Continental Congress. The Pennsylvania Magazine helped colonists at home see what was
going on in the battle. It was just what the colonists needed to feel like a part of the fight for
independence. In conclusion, Thomas Paine had a huge impact on American society and culture.
Without Paine, who knows if we would have gained our independence because he gave colonists that
push in the first place with Common Sense and then continued to show support through his other
pamphlet The American Crisis . Additionally, as editor of the Pennsylvania Magazine, Paine was able
to include all colonists in the quest for independence. These reasons prove that Thomas Paine had the
greatest impact on American society and

Identity in House Made of Dawn Essay
Identity in House Made of Dawn
In 1969 N. Scott Momaday won the Pulitzer Prize for his phenomenal work, House Made of Dawn.
The novel addresses the issue of identity, how it can be lost as well as recovered. Momaday offers
insightful methods of recovering or attaining one s identity. Momaday once made the following now
famous statement:
We are what we imagine. Our very existence consists in our imagination of ourselves. Our best destiny
is to imagine, at least, completely, who and what, and that we are. The greatest tragedy that can befall
us is to go unimagined (Owens, 93).
For Momaday, imagination is the key to identity, and it is this key that Momaday offers as a solution
to the problem of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The path to imagination and identity lies in those things that show us who we are, that heal and make
us whole, and that promote order and reality. Throughout House Made of Dawn, two of Momaday s
methods to attaining identity reveal themselves to be, on this same path, running and stories. These
methods are not separate, but intermingle and cross over one another at different times. Ultimately,
through the utilization of these methods, one can gain a sense of identity and the ability to imagine
oneself. At the novel s ending, this is exactly what Abel does.
In the second paragraph of the prologue, Abel is running. The prologue begins with Abel running and
ends with Abel running. The prologue, in a mythic time and place, tells the story, and how it will end,
in accordance with traditional storytelling. (Owens, 96). We, the reader, know that Abel with find
himself by the novel s end. However, what is important, is the way the story is told (Owens, 96). Thus,
in finding running at the beginning and ending of the prologue, one can infer that running must be
important to identity, because only when Abel has his sense of identity does he run. The portion of the
novel following the prologue proves this to be true throughout. Owens says that for the Jemez Pueblo,
the native community and culture in which the novel is set, running can have serious ceremonial
applications and that

British Secret Intelligence MI6 Essays
British Secret Intelligence:
MI6
Introduction Hello Mr. Bond. The character, James Bond, usually comes to mind when one thinks of
the British agency MI6. An agency that enables its agents to have a license to kill, enabling them to do
anything, at any cost to achieve the greater good, with the head of the agency M sitting behind a desk
giving orders. This sounds like an agency that anyone would love to work for. In reality, it is an
agency that has been through several wars and has evolved over the years with lies, secrets, and
betrayal (Corera, 2011).
At one point the British Secret Intelligence, often known as MI6, was very similar to the fictional
James Bond character. The agents in the beginning did not necessarily have a ... Show more content

History
The British Secret Intelligence Service is one of the oldest surviving foreign intelligence gathering
organizations in the spy world. MI6 was founded in October 1909, originally as the Foreign Section of
the new Secret Service Bureau. The man behind the curtain that established the organization was
Commander Mansfield Cumming (Thomas, 2009). In the beginning, the agency was surrounded with
so much secrecy that it was difficult to get the agency off of the ground to meet its desired potential.
However, by the end of 1909, Cummings was able to successfully create an organization devoted to
the clandestine collection of foreign intelligence (Jeffery, 2010). As much as the agency was
Cummings brainchild, the wheels starting to spin early in 1909 when a sub committee was put
together to outline a plan to get Great Britain back into the intelligence collection business. The sub
committee initially wanted a secret service bureau that would be in close contact with the War Office,
Admiralty, and the Home Office (Corera, 2012). It would need to have three guidelines in place to
follow: 1) serve as a middle between the Admiralty and the War Office for foreign spies who want to
sell information to the government, 2) branch out to various parts of Great Britain to keep in touch
with local constables to ascertain the nature and degree of espionage that is

Blood Transfusion Is A Crucial Part Of Health Care Systems
Blood transfusion is a crucial part of health care systems all around the world and contributes to
saving lives of millions in both routine and emergency settings. With the advancements in Clinical
Medicine, the need for this life saving fluid is rising. The annual blood collection across the world is
over 88 million units of blood for a world population of 6,910 million requiring 150 million units (1).
The availability of safe blood is dependent on the human blood volunteers. While volunteer blood
donation (VBD) is believed to be the cornerstone of the safe blood transfusion services (BTS) (2).
There is a huge disparity regarding the collection of blood via donation between high income and low

WHO quoted that almost five women die every hour in India due to insufficient blood transfusion
after obstetric hemorrhage (7) and the condition of rural India is even worse. This article is drafted to
present the current status of blood donation and transfusion in India through the eyes of a young
Indian physician.
Blood donation in India started in 1942 during the 2nd world war. It was aimed to help wounded
soldiers. In 1954, a social reformer initiated voluntary blood donation camps. The next milestone was
the declaration of October 1 as the Blood Donation Day in 1975. But this was followed by a major
setback in 1980 with the emergence of AIDS. This created a fearful environment amongst the general
population towards donating blood and receiving transfusion due to the risk of getting infected. Even
after almost 4 decades of development of various techniques for obtaining blood via closed collection
system in a sterile environment and screening for various transfusion transmitted infections (TTI), the
fear of contracting some sort of infection is persistent. This misconception has been one of the major
roadblocks to building a strong base for VBD.
According to the WHO, nearly 38% of voluntary blood donations are by people under the age of
25(8). India is home to the largest number of young population, yet only one percent of eligible donors
donate blood. Bharatwaj et al studied

In the summer of 1973, Paul Allen, who knew more about computer hardware than
Bill Gates, shared an article with Gates buried on page 143 in Electronics
Magazine. The article described the invention of the 8008 micro processor chip by a young company
called Intel. Paul was surprised to receive the technical manual for the chip in the mail simply upon
request. Immediately, he went to work analyzing its capabilities. Due to the lack of transistors, the
8008 chip was very limited in its use, but Allen discovered despite the limitations, the chip was good
for repetitive tasks and mathematical data.

When Paul Allen entered college at Pullman, Washington, a town on the east side of the state, sixteen
year old Bill Gates traveled frequently by bus to visit him. On these long trips across the state, Gates
wrote a program that facilitated the reading of traffic information gathered by municipalities through a
device set up on the side of certain intersections. A long, rubber tube stretched across the road from
one of these devices, and each time a vehicle ran over the tube a punch was made in the roll of paper

Rhetorical Analysis on Bush s Letter to Hussein
Ana Giorlando Feb. 4, 2013 Pithy Persuasiveness in a Letter Abroad President George Bush s letter to
President Saddam Hussein is a convincing segment intended to persuade Hussein to remove his forces
from Kuwait before conflict ensues. Some critical readers believe that Bush does not provide a
rational argument, but this paper is taking the standpoint that Bush not only is rational, but cogent.
President George Bush is able to effectively convey his forceful message to President Saddam
Hussein, expressing that Iraq must leave Kuwait through the use of establishing credibility, strength,
repetition, and persuasive appeals by explaining that the world will not tolerate war and violence any
longer. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While using small statistic numbers, trying to persuade the President of Iraq how they stand alone,
Bush states how many people are on the United States side. These include; Security Council
Resolutions, the countries providing militaries, and all the governments that are in agreement with
them, concluding that it is Iraq at odds with the world. This having evidence, is a scare tactic as it
shows Hussein that they are mostly unaided and also, a show of adverse consequences pushing Iraq to
believe that they would undoubtedly lose the fight. Even though the message comes across to some
extent threatening to the people of Iraq, Bush appeases the feeling by stating that his intention was
only to inform them seeing as how the United States has no quarrel with Iraq. In conclusion, President
George Bush s letter shows how united the world is against Iraq s aggression. Twenty eight countries
would give military aid and one hundred governments would agree with the United States position.
Iraq has no allies in their takeover of Kuwait. Bush s threats of military action challenge Saddam
Hussein s arrogance and sense of infallibility. Warnings of the destruction of Iraq s military and loss of
life would be on the hands of Hussein himself. The United States would not be responsible for Iraq s
losses. Again, the primary audience for this letter is Hussein himself, because in a dictatorship such as
Iraq, the people themselves are deprived of such information. Brute

Compare And Contrast Polyp And Hawaii
While most living organisms reproduce during their lifetime, not all have the ability to move freely in
order to complete the process of reproduction. Sessile marine organisms fit the profile of these
organisms, as any sessile organism, by definition, is permanently attached or fixed to another surface.
Due to their sessile nature, coral have the ability to reproduce both sexually and asexually. Coral that
reproduce sexually do so most commonly by way of spawning and brooding, while coral that
reproduce asexually do so through budding and fragmentation. Both modes of reproduction, both
asexual and sexual, have their benefits and disadvantages, but both ultimately lead to the production of
new coral throughout the world.
Asexually reproducing coral do so primarily though budding and fragmentation. In order ... Show

This is considered to be the most common form of asexual reproduction, due to the rather abrupt
formation of new polyp buds, many completing the budding cycle within three to four days, given the
proper conditions. Environmental conditions influencing the production of polyps during the budding
process includes temperature and the availability of food and nutrients for the forming polyp.
Generally, asexually reproducing coral undergoing the budding process first start to divide and form
two different polyp mouths, which clearly demonstrate where the separation will occur. Once the new
polyp grows into the right size, the two polyps will complete division, ending in two different polyp
buds.

Robinson Crusoe Thesis Statement
My diploma thesis is about the Main Themes in Daniel Defoe s Robinson Crusoe novel. This novel is
an autobiographical narrative novel which the author names Robinson Crusoe .Novel firstly was
named The Life and Strange Surprizing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, of York, but then was
changed into Robinson Crusoe .It was published with this title with the intention to look more like the
life of a sailor, not of the author itself.
The novel represents the amalgamation of middle class and aristocratic society. It represents the
spiritual progress which is revealed during the activities that he has on the island. The experiences that
he has made him realize the connection between him and the divine belief.
The love and affection that Robinson has for nature and the sea are one of the most captivated loves

Toys Are an Influence Essay
Watery eyes, flaring nostrils, flailing limbs, and the temper of a furious bull, your child is having a
horrendous tantrum. Even though you ve taught them morals and positive values, this seems to
recurring issue. There is one question all parents must ask themselves, What kind of outside influences
am I allowing my child to govern themselves with on a daily basis? These days, boys and girls alike
face the incessant impact of society in their social, intellectual, emotional, and behavioral lives. This
influence starts at a young age with the toys and games our little tykes surround themselves with. By
avoiding specific toys, you should be able to steer clear of violent behavior that you don t want to see

CBS News suggest that parents choose toys for their toddlers and preschoolers that teach skills
because a young child s brain will grab hold of these permanent marks and carry through with them all

learn to enjoy accomplishing any task they face. Many say educational toys are the best way to go
because it stimulate tools a child will use throughout their schooling. Some toys have a powerful
influence on children s thinking, interaction with peers, and creative expression. (Prof. Trawick Smith)
The environment around a child has an incredible impact on their development. From a home setting,
to a park setting to a school setting a child is constantly learning. Many studies have been done to
determine how individual toys can affect a child because it is important for parents and educators to be
informed. Even though many adults have their own idea of what is a good instrument for their child s
growth, research and test can help point the way. We code children s use of the toys in the areas using
a coding instrument that we have developed: thinking/ learning/ problem solving, social interaction,
and creativity. (Prof. Trawick Smith) The research done at NAEYA says that toys for a classroom

Another factor which has contributed to this is that the limited sources of raw materials are already
controlled by the major players in the market, which makes the power of suppliers high in the luxury
goods industry. It is hard for them to validate and source for supplier that have relevant certification to
supply them with the constant high quality of raw material.
C. Bargaining Power of Buyers
The power of buyers in the luxury goods industry is low. The main reason is that there are only a few
major players in the global market who controls the major supplies of luxury goods in the whole
world. Thus, buyers are forced to follow the prices dictated by the companies along with other rules in
the market such as availability of the luxury goods to be offered to them.
D. Threat of Substitutes
There are very little threats that could emerge from possible substitutes. This is because product for
product substitution could not possibly happen especially with luxury goods. Other products cannot
simply replace the ingenuity of the established luxury products in the market. Many of the users of
these luxury products would find it uncomfortable using other products other than their luxury

Depression can move in on a person quickly or creep in like a fog. It can be a visceral experience, like
a blow to the gut or a heavy burden suddenly pressing down on one s shoulders.
It can affect one s experience of the world: if it s sunny outside, somehow it seems dull and cold; if it s
gray, the gray gets heavier.
Have you ever been depressed? How do you stand against it; how do you push back the gray veil?
How do you cope with depression and even work to break out of it?
First, it s important to know the difference between the winter blues, an occasional down day, a week

I do recommend anything by Bill Withers, especially the soulful Lean on Me ( Sometimes in our lives,
we all have pain, we all have sorrow, but if we are wise, we know that there s always tomorrow... ).
One song that always cheers me is Dobie Gray s Drift Away ( And when I m feeling blue, a guitar s
comin through to sooth me. Thanks for the joy that you ve given me... ). Sometimes music can be used
as a catalyst, something through which to channel your anger (depression can stem from deep anger
[McCrary 1998]) and pain. For that, I recommend Mary J. Blige s No
More Cryin from her The Breakthrough album (2005). Other songs I recommend from that album are
Take Me As I Am and Good Woman Down. Finally, because depression can also stem from fear, I
recommend listening to Mindkiller, by Adam Freeland off of his Now and
Them album (2004). Blast this song and remind yourself that, as the lyrics say, Fear is the mind killer.
Going for a drive in your car can also be a distraction from the depression, as long as you feel safe in
handling the vehicle. You can take your music with you, head east, then turn back toward the Front

Non invasive mapping of connections between human thalamus and cortex using diffusion imaging:
This article details a study that was performed using diffusion imaging characteristics to determine
how pathways connect different parts of the brain. The study concluded that the pathway that is
generated is based on the start point and the researchers developed and algorithm that could help them
generate pathway within sections of the brain. Basal ganglia and cerebellar loops: motor and cognitive
circuits: The basal ganglia and cerebellum are the major motor structures of the brain. In this study,
several cortical areas were examined as the targets of the signals sent by the basal ganglia and the
cerebellar output. This article examined

The Most Memorable Moment That Changed My Life
I was born into a prestigious family who has raised me to have proper etiquette , show respect, and
have chivalrous qualities. Throughout my life, I was always viewed as the child of god, the boy that
never lies, the one who would never do that , that s not like him. On the contrary, the truth is that
nobody is perfect nor innocent, including myself. People such as myself receive judgements such as
these periodically due to the fact that we have learned how to keep our personal lives private. For this
reason, for people such as myself, we have difficulties expressing ourselves. This is just a glimpse of
my background so you could have a better understanding of my point of view . The most memorable
moment that has changed my perspective in life was when I had to move from Upstate New York to
Connecticut (CT). I moved in 2014 with my sister to my half brother s house. It all started in the
summer when my sister and I went to go visit my half brother in CT. When we arrived, that part of the
family welcomed us in a way in which no one from my mother s side of the family has ever done
before. That alone made me feel special; as if I was actually loved by my father s side of the family.
Therefore, we spent some time with them. We also went to six flags which, quite frankly, was the
highlight of the year. We had a blast until my father came up with the idea of sending my sister to CT.
He wanted to do this because she was hanging out with people that had bad habits such as

Cultural Imperialism And The United States
During my time in Guatemala, I believe that the social issues I came in the most contact with were
hegemony and cultural imperialism, or in other words, the influence the United States has over
Guatemala. No matter where I was, whether it be the streets of the small town of San Miguel or the
larger, more developed city of Guatemala City, I could not help but notice how much of an impact the
United States has. Throughout the course of a month we learned a lot about the root causes of poverty
America as a hegemon through both readings and discussion. The footprint the U.S. has left in
Guatemala was apparent not only while reading and learning about the history of Latin America, but
while visiting the country itself. In addition, we had the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As you walk or drive through Guatemala, you are sure to see countless billboards, much like in the
U.S. Being from the U.S., this seems completely normal. The signs even looked very similar. When I
took a closer look at the signs, I noticed why they looked so similar. There were American models on
the signs. In particular, I noticed a blonde haired woman on the front of a billboard advertising
shampoo. I also noticed American women on billboards advertising jeans and beer. When looking into
bars I saw calendars with American women as well. It was impossible not to notice the influence that
the U.S. had not only on methods of advertising, but also on the images used. In addition to noticing
the U.S. hegemon while on the streets of Guatemala, I also noticed it while living with the people.
While staying with host families, we were given the opportunity to take in an entirely different culture
or so we thought. Even though living amongst Guatemalans was a very new experience, it was also
very evident that the U.S. had impacted the traditional Guatemalan way of life. The first thing that I
noticed while living with my host family was the way they dressed. My host parents wore what can be
considered as traditional clothing. They had not let any outside influence impact their decision in
clothing. However, my host siblings we not mirroring their parents. My host siblings ranged from
fourteen years old to about thirty years old. They wore much more casual

Scarlet Ibis Analysis
Taking care of a sibling who is disabled can be embarrassing to you. So you decided to make them
become normal. But you did it for your own selfish reason and because of your pride. In the story, The
Scarlet Ibis the narrator felt embarrassed because he had a disabled brother. He planned to smother
Doodle, but stop once he realized Doodle was all there. The narrator kept taking care of Doodle and
the narrator was irritated. The narrator was more harsh to Doodle so he doesn t have to take care of
Doodle, consequently Doodle still wanted to be with his brother. The narrator decided to teach Doodle
to walk so he doesn t have to carry him everywhere. Hurst s characterization of the narrator shows that
pride is linked to shame and embarrassment. This characterization is reveal when the narrator tries to
kill Doodle , when he leaves Doodle out in the storm.
The beginning of the story was when the narrator tries to kill Doodle because he was ashamed. The
narrator is revealed that he is embarrassed of having a disabled brother and was willing to kill Doodle
because he was crippled. The event is linked to the theme because the narrator s pride towards Doodle
was because of embarrassment of Doodle being crippled. Doodle was born with a big head and his
body was wrinkly and red like an old person and was disabled. Everyone thought he would die at a
young age and the narrator even states Doodle was born out of disappointment. Even if Doodle
survived, he couldn t do anything with the

Descriptionages And Disadvantages Of A Wide Area Network...
Local Area Network A LAN, local area network, is a group of computers and other devices that share
a wireless link to a server. A local area network is usually in a distinct location like an office where all
the devices are close, hence the name local. It is used to share resources like a printer and can be used
with a small group of people or a much larger one. Interconnection devices such as switches and
routers are all used to connect the network to the internet. Wi Fi or Ethernet can be used to connect the
network to the internet. A local area network must relate to standards and protocols. It does this as it is
connected to the internet through the Wi Fi. Wide Area Network A wide area network is distributed
places unlike a local area network which is local. A WAN interconnects different local area networks.
A wide area network could be in companies and organisations for example, it could have connections
to a company s headquarters or branch facilities. Routers are used to connect a LAN to a WAN. They
are functioned to allow users to share access to applications and other services. There are various
different protocols within a wide area network such as broadband access and point to point protocol.
WAN s are mostly managed by a private organisation so that no other companies can get on their
network however, there is open wide area networks too. The main example would be the internet.
WAN technologies There are various different technologies within a WAN.

What Does The Poem Thou Blind Man s Mark Mean
Thou Blind Man s Mark dramatizes the speaker s inner desires versus his realistic and virtuous side
that denounces desires. The first three lines open up the subject of desire with, Thou blind man s mark,
thou fool s self chosen snare, that continuous to listen very different types of people that have desires.
The introduction of the blind man s target is also important as it shows the Speaker s opinion of desire
as a whole. Desire is seen as an unrealistic hope and something opposite of reality of life. The speaker
goes on to exclaim, Desire, desire! I have too dearly bought, which reflects the shift of this poem to
the author s opinions and attitude. Desire as something to be brought shows that a sacrifice must be
made to even have a desire, whether to God or to the human mind. The attitude is that of sacrifice for
something worthless. With price of mangled mind, thy worthless ware, shows exactly what the
speaker meant in the line above, that desire is some worthless good that hurts someone, that could
compare to a drug in today in modern times. Even in the 16th century there was wasteful people that
desire, and yet do not live. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even the last line, Desiring naught but how to kill desire, is contradicting as you cannot follow this
author s advice without desire, the force he is against. The Rhyme Scheme is fairly consistent abab for
two thirds of the poem, but in line five the pattern is broken which signals the speaker s refusal to be
apart of this, Thou web of will! Whose end is never wrought. Aspire, fire, hire, desire are the far end
rhymes that are used effectively to start wrapping up his whole argument against desire and finding
power from

William Shakespeare s Mandate
William Shakespeare was born in Stratford upon Avon, a flourishing town in central England with a
population of two thousand at the time. He was born to Mary Arden, a local heiress, and John
Shakespeare, a leather merchant and town bailiff, who both had been long time residents of the town.
While the exact date of his birth is unknown, it is estimated that Shakespeare s birthdate is or was
around the 23rd of April, 1564, because of a record of his baptization three days later; children were
baptized as early as possible during this time, around three days after their birth. He had eight siblings:
five younger brothers and sisters, named Gilbert, Richard, Edmund, Joan, and Ann, and three others
that died during their births. From an early age, Shakespeare was given an intense education in
comparison to other children during his time. His parents never received any education, and because
of this they strived to give their children excellent educations. Shakespeare attended Stratford upon
Avon s grammar school, the King s New School, which he received free attendance to because of his
father s status as a bailiff of the town. During his time at the school, Shakespeare learned the grammar
and alphabets of English and Latin and read ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

beautified with our feathers, that with his tiger s heart wrapped in a player s hide, supposes he is as
well able to bombast out a blank verse as the best of you. Ironically, the records of these criticisms are
the only evidence that we have of Shakespeare s popularity in the early

Drosophil The Evolution Of The Human Genome Project
The Human Genome project was ultimately introduced in 1985 and by the early 1990 s the project
began to spread. The collaboration of multiple countries such as, Great Britain, France, Japan, China,
and Germany joined the United States in working to complete the project in a minimum of 3 years.
Laboratories in these countries mapped and sequenced the project that is known as the Human
Genome. All of the genes in a person s body is called a Genome, therefore the name of the project the
Human Genome Project. Scientist found that the Human Genome structure displays information on
structure, organization, and function of a complete Human Genome. The Human Genome Project is
the study of how all DNA is linked and the various mutations that can occur. ... Show more content on

The idea of Drosophila came from both Alfred and Thomas once they realized that the Drosophila can
be a useful source to the Human Genome Project because of it s large chromosomes, and the
acceleration in it s reproduction. Scientist also realized that they could use other species; mice, fruit
flies, and flatworms because these were all species with similar genes and functions. The Research of
Drosophila led to the theory of heredity, which with this research lead to the development of the
chromosome theory, that presented the connection of genes through chromosomes. Doing this Alfred
and Thomas were able to build the first genetic map of chromosomes. There Is an estimation of
20,000 30,000 human genes that were involved in the project, out of that a discovery of 99.9 percent
of everyone s DNA was corresponding. Scientist took gathered samples of opposite ethnic groups all
around the world from the countries who participated in the Human Genome Project. Approximately
700 different ethnic groups were targeted by scientist to donate. Alfred and Thomas collaborated with
Anthropologist and other geneticist to build a better understanding of how opposite ethnic groups are
linked. Sadly of the thousands of samples collected they were of little use because of the different
laboratories across the world. Scientist believed in two important key facts in understanding the
Human Genome which were; follow the different migrations of opposite ethnic groups to trace if these
groups are corresponding, trace a Family Tree of the populace, and last to analyze the genes which
will lead to mutations and diseases. Scientist realized that necessary precautions needed to be too be
taken to collect samples from ethnic groups going extinct, but decided to not voice the extinction of
those disappearing ethnic groups to not

urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy
and pleasing to God this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God
s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do
not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in
accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with
many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many,
form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the
grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith;
if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if

The Sexual Assault Of Sex Offenders
Rough Draft
For many people the term sex offender brings up extreme emotions. However, it is the nature of the
crime that needs to be considered before the label. The laws and punishments that are enforced during
and after prison varies by where the offender lives and the severity of the crime. But, there is much
more that needs to be considered. First , the things that are considered sexual assault, if the child is
forced to have sex without consent, if the person is having sex with a minor, or sexually assaulting a
person that is over the age of 18. These are just a few of the issues that can be considered Sexual
Assault. But, not all sexual offences are convicted the same, the punishment varies by the location of

Next, is going to be about the punishments for sex offenders, juvenile sex offender s etc. When the
offender is placed in front of the judge the statuses will normally set a range of punishments. Some
judges will also examine the sex offenders and irritation and justifying issues when deciding on the
fully committed sentence. This is because if they have more justifying factors about them than
aggravating factors they could get lucky and get a more lenient sentence. If they have committed a bad
enough sexual assault then they can get 24, 36 or even 48 months in prison with a $10,000 bond. This
kind of sentence with the bond being allowed is called the determinant this is basically there to kind of
let the offender know that the law is not kidding around about sexual abuse or sexual assaults. This
punishment also depends on the state of where this assault was convicted if the child received any
mental/physical damage to their body. In some states they have begun to make their laws a little
tougher with Florida making the number one spot they have started to consider the death penalty. Also
some states have slowed the death rate for sexual offenses and some states have made a law with life
without parole. There punishment can also be varied

That day started something between them. Hoshi teased about having a boyfriend but Jihoon referred
to Mingyu as a human cat that wouldn t go away . Mingyu still sent him messages via printer but he
also started coming over for a little while most days. They d chat and bicker. They d talk about high
school and hobbies and best friends. Mingyu would pick at Jihoon s music taste. Jihoon would wonder
aloud about Mingyu s lack of drawing skills.
You re a good photographer but you re shit at pen on paper drawing.

I m not, he snaps and snatches the paper from his brother s fingers, tossing it towards the coffee table
without looking at it. He s like a pet cat.
Yoongi laughs and Jihoon freezes. He knows that laugh. That laugh always came just before Yoongi
convinced Jihoon to do something incredibly stupid and rash. That laugh that had their mother
scolding them for hours. Oh. A cat, huh? Jihoon rubs the bridge of his nose: he can already feel the
headache forming. Does he have all his shots? Yoongi eyes him closely, eyes dropping to Jihoon s
neck for a moment, before wandering to the fridge and calling back over his shoulder. Does he bite?
Did you buy him a proper collar?
Oh. My. God. I hate you. Before he can do anything rash, like become an only child and call Hoshi for
help with burying the body, the printer comes to life again. Yoongi wraps an arm around Jihoon s
waist and yanks him back before he can reach the paper, laughing when Jihoon huffs and tries to trip
him.

Essay On To Kill A Mockingbird Coming Of Age
In the book To Kill A Mockingbird, Scout grows up in a small town where nothing normally happens.
When her dad is given a case to defend a black man, she gets thrown into a world where racism has
been the norm. She hasn t been exposed to something like this, so she is confused, but she grows more
mature in that time. She and Jem both come of age in different ways in the story and get a taste of the
real world. Scout and Jem both show maturation throughout the book. Their father s decision to
defend a black man opens them up to the harsh world of racism and prejudice, meanwhile he shows
them how to be compassionate to people and not to follow the norm. The reason To Kill A
Mockingbird is a great coming of age story is that it lifts Scout and Jem out of the racist society norms
and asks them to be more and model their father s behavior. Even though racism is a big problem of
our world today, it was a bigger problem when Jem and Scout were children.
Scout is considered an unknowing kid by many people until she models her father s behavior and

  • 2. Laa Lasher Research Paper When you think of college, what images come to mind? Textbooks and biology homework? Football games and late night cramming? What about paintings or portraits or pottery? Photographs, animations or handmade attire? Maybe not so much. But on Thursday in the University of Central Florida s Visual Arts Building, students and families witnessed a marriage of collegiate commitment and artistic determination as 33 of UCF s Bachelor s of Fine Arts students displayed their work in a free of charge exhibit for the wide eyed general public. Mounted sculptures sat as still as stone atop the shiny wooden floors, while self portraits and clay figures decorated the tall, white walls of the gallery. Walk around for a bit and you would catch a mother s stern warning to her child to absolutely not touch anything (though the large, partitioned room did resemble a modern day cave of wonders). And among ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For Lasher, art is not only important for her personal enjoyment, but also in her battle against some personal obstacles. I struggle with anxiety, and for me, crocheting helps relieve my anxiety... Lasher, whose studies specialize in sculpture, said. It s one of the few things that doesn t stress me out. Lasher has a particular interest in soft sculpture, which is typically more fabric based and, as she described, not super rigid. According to Lasher, much of what she does has a certain focus on what she going through. For me, the feelings just bottle up inside and I need to get them out somehow, Lasher said. And the physical representation just makes me feel more at ease about what s happening in my life. But not every piece in the gallery was assigned meaning by its artist. UCF senior and (you guessed it) bachelors of fine arts major Vicky Boisvert said she had no deep purpose in her sculptures, though she was open to others interpreting them at ... • 3. The Social World Sexualisation of the social world has become a very prominent social issue since the early 90 s. It has affected many influential individuals in devastating ways such as that of eating disorders, body image issues and mental illnesses. This essay will explore sociological explanations to understand and draw conclusions on why the sexualisation of culture has and continues to occur today. I will explore feminism and how it has influenced sexualisation of culture today and how pornography has influenced todays pornification problems. One sociological explanation for this is that of a multitude of factors related to that of feminism. In the mid 1970s child abuse was brought to public eye by a group of second wave feminists also known as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is the most significant of the factors that laid the ground for shift of sexualisation to become a recognised social issue from its former clinical term (Fredrickson 1992). However, positioning the innocence of a child to symbolise femininity began to counter benefit the movement by setting the tone for the return of traditional family values. For example, the innocent girl was remobilized to attack the legalization of child abortion, a goal that feminists had achieved years earlier. This debacle however did provide the ideal social conditions for today s sexualisation problem to be identified as in 1981 journalists were beginning to investigate the sudden sexualisation of young females. Sexualisation being used to describe mal socialization which in fact separates children from their natural essence causing premature entry in adult forms of sexual subjectivity. For example, that of play makeup for girls (Schiro 1981). Another sociological explanation that is provided for the pornification of media today is that of the evolution of porn. Pornographic content has always been in existence with our culture with prehistoric rock art dated before civilisation depicting sexual acts. This can also be seen in art work during the Victorian era such as that of the painting by Édouard Manet titled Olympia which was a nude picture of a French courtesan which ... • 4. Dichotomy In Macbeth Shakespeare sheds light on the dichotomy of good and evil with the connection of death. The motif of light and dark is included each time someone is killed. Lady Macbeth associates the dark with evil and sees it as protection to her in this violent state (lighten up!), Come, thick night... see not the wound it makes, nor heaven peek through the blanket of the dark (33). She believes that by being concealed in the shadows of the night, there will be no punishments in the afterlife for her uncivilized actions, alluding to the fear surrounding religion. There s husbandry in heaven; their candles are all out (49). Macbeth could surpass feeling of guilt or knowing his own regret if his conscience could be clouded by the darkness of the night. ... • 5. Thomas Paine s Impact On American Society And Culture Thomas Paine had a great impact on American society during the time of the American Revolution. Because of this, Thomas Paine has had more impact on American society and culture than any other person in history for the three following reasons; he wrote Common Sense , a pamphlet advocating for independence from Britain, The American Crisis , another pamphlet to encourage soldiers to keep fighting, and he was the editor of the Pennsylvania Magazine. Without Paine we might still be under British control. Thomas Paine published Common Sense in 1776 to encourage the colonies to gain independence from Great Britain. Common Sense turned out to be just the push the colonists needed to set the plan in action and begin the quest for independence. Paine argues that the colonists have little to gain from being attached to Great Britain and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He wrote all of these under the initials A.B. and other various pseudonyms. The Pennsylvania Magazine was the only magazine issued to the colonists during 1775 and 1776 after the Royal American Magazine ceased publication in May of 1775. Paine worked under Robert Aitken, a printer for the Continental Congress. The Pennsylvania Magazine helped colonists at home see what was going on in the battle. It was just what the colonists needed to feel like a part of the fight for independence. In conclusion, Thomas Paine had a huge impact on American society and culture. Without Paine, who knows if we would have gained our independence because he gave colonists that push in the first place with Common Sense and then continued to show support through his other pamphlet The American Crisis . Additionally, as editor of the Pennsylvania Magazine, Paine was able to include all colonists in the quest for independence. These reasons prove that Thomas Paine had the greatest impact on American society and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Identity in House Made of Dawn Essay Identity in House Made of Dawn In 1969 N. Scott Momaday won the Pulitzer Prize for his phenomenal work, House Made of Dawn. The novel addresses the issue of identity, how it can be lost as well as recovered. Momaday offers insightful methods of recovering or attaining one s identity. Momaday once made the following now famous statement: We are what we imagine. Our very existence consists in our imagination of ourselves. Our best destiny is to imagine, at least, completely, who and what, and that we are. The greatest tragedy that can befall us is to go unimagined (Owens, 93). For Momaday, imagination is the key to identity, and it is this key that Momaday offers as a solution to the problem of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The path to imagination and identity lies in those things that show us who we are, that heal and make us whole, and that promote order and reality. Throughout House Made of Dawn, two of Momaday s methods to attaining identity reveal themselves to be, on this same path, running and stories. These methods are not separate, but intermingle and cross over one another at different times. Ultimately, through the utilization of these methods, one can gain a sense of identity and the ability to imagine oneself. At the novel s ending, this is exactly what Abel does. In the second paragraph of the prologue, Abel is running. The prologue begins with Abel running and ends with Abel running. The prologue, in a mythic time and place, tells the story, and how it will end, in accordance with traditional storytelling. (Owens, 96). We, the reader, know that Abel with find himself by the novel s end. However, what is important, is the way the story is told (Owens, 96). Thus, in finding running at the beginning and ending of the prologue, one can infer that running must be important to identity, because only when Abel has his sense of identity does he run. The portion of the novel following the prologue proves this to be true throughout. Owens says that for the Jemez Pueblo, the native community and culture in which the novel is set, running can have serious ceremonial applications and that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. British Secret Intelligence MI6 Essays British Secret Intelligence: MI6 Introduction Hello Mr. Bond. The character, James Bond, usually comes to mind when one thinks of the British agency MI6. An agency that enables its agents to have a license to kill, enabling them to do anything, at any cost to achieve the greater good, with the head of the agency M sitting behind a desk giving orders. This sounds like an agency that anyone would love to work for. In reality, it is an agency that has been through several wars and has evolved over the years with lies, secrets, and betrayal (Corera, 2011). At one point the British Secret Intelligence, often known as MI6, was very similar to the fictional James Bond character. The agents in the beginning did not necessarily have a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The building is now a showcase on the Thames River, announcing We Are Here! History The British Secret Intelligence Service is one of the oldest surviving foreign intelligence gathering organizations in the spy world. MI6 was founded in October 1909, originally as the Foreign Section of the new Secret Service Bureau. The man behind the curtain that established the organization was Commander Mansfield Cumming (Thomas, 2009). In the beginning, the agency was surrounded with so much secrecy that it was difficult to get the agency off of the ground to meet its desired potential. However, by the end of 1909, Cummings was able to successfully create an organization devoted to the clandestine collection of foreign intelligence (Jeffery, 2010). As much as the agency was Cummings brainchild, the wheels starting to spin early in 1909 when a sub committee was put together to outline a plan to get Great Britain back into the intelligence collection business. The sub committee initially wanted a secret service bureau that would be in close contact with the War Office, Admiralty, and the Home Office (Corera, 2012). It would need to have three guidelines in place to follow: 1) serve as a middle between the Admiralty and the War Office for foreign spies who want to sell information to the government, 2) branch out to various parts of Great Britain to keep in touch with local constables to ascertain the nature and degree of espionage that is ... Blood Transfusion Is A Crucial Part Of Health Care Systems Blood transfusion is a crucial part of health care systems all around the world and contributes to saving lives of millions in both routine and emergency settings. With the advancements in Clinical Medicine, the need for this life saving fluid is rising. The annual blood collection across the world is over 88 million units of blood for a world population of 6,910 million requiring 150 million units (1). The availability of safe blood is dependent on the human blood volunteers. While volunteer blood donation (VBD) is believed to be the cornerstone of the safe blood transfusion services (BTS) (2). WHO quoted that almost five women die every hour in India due to insufficient blood transfusion after obstetric hemorrhage (7) and the condition of rural India is even worse. This article is drafted to present the current status of blood donation and transfusion in India through the eyes of a young Indian physician. Blood donation in India started in 1942 during the 2nd world war. It was aimed to help wounded soldiers. In 1954, a social reformer initiated voluntary blood donation camps. The next milestone was the declaration of October 1 as the Blood Donation Day in 1975. But this was followed by a major setback in 1980 with the emergence of AIDS. This created a fearful environment amongst the general population towards donating blood and receiving transfusion due to the risk of getting infected. Even after almost 4 decades of development of various techniques for obtaining blood via closed collection system in a sterile environment and screening for various transfusion transmitted infections (TTI), the fear of contracting some sort of infection is persistent. This misconception has been one of the major roadblocks to building a strong base for VBD. According to the WHO, nearly 38% of voluntary blood donations are by people under the age of 25(8). India is home to the largest number of young population, yet only one percent of eligible donors donate blood. Bharatwaj et al studied ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The article described the invention of the 8008 micro processor chip by a young company called Intel. Paul was surprised to receive the technical manual for the chip in the mail simply upon request. Immediately, he went to work analyzing its capabilities. Due to the lack of transistors, the 8008 chip was very limited in its use, but Allen discovered despite the limitations, the chip was good for repetitive tasks and mathematical data. First Business Venture When Paul Allen entered college at Pullman, Washington, a town on the east side of the state, sixteen year old Bill Gates traveled frequently by bus to visit him. On these long trips across the state, Gates wrote a program that facilitated the reading of traffic information gathered by municipalities through a device set up on the side of certain intersections. A long, rubber tube stretched across the road from one of these devices, and each time a vehicle ran over the tube a punch was made in the roll of paper within the device. People ... Rhetorical Analysis on Bush s Letter to Hussein Ana Giorlando Feb. 4, 2013 Pithy Persuasiveness in a Letter Abroad President George Bush s letter to President Saddam Hussein is a convincing segment intended to persuade Hussein to remove his forces from Kuwait before conflict ensues. Some critical readers believe that Bush does not provide a rational argument, but this paper is taking the standpoint that Bush not only is rational, but cogent. President George Bush is able to effectively convey his forceful message to President Saddam Hussein, expressing that Iraq must leave Kuwait through the use of establishing credibility, strength, repetition, and persuasive appeals by explaining that the world will not tolerate war and violence any longer. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While using small statistic numbers, trying to persuade the President of Iraq how they stand alone, Bush states how many people are on the United States side. These include; Security Council Resolutions, the countries providing militaries, and all the governments that are in agreement with them, concluding that it is Iraq at odds with the world. This having evidence, is a scare tactic as it shows Hussein that they are mostly unaided and also, a show of adverse consequences pushing Iraq to believe that they would undoubtedly lose the fight. Even though the message comes across to some extent threatening to the people of Iraq, Bush appeases the feeling by stating that his intention was only to inform them seeing as how the United States has no quarrel with Iraq. In conclusion, President George Bush s letter shows how united the world is against Iraq s aggression. Twenty eight countries would give military aid and one hundred governments would agree with the United States position. Iraq has no allies in their takeover of Kuwait. Bush s threats of military action challenge Saddam Hussein s arrogance and sense of infallibility. Warnings of the destruction of Iraq s military and loss of life would be on the hands of Hussein himself. The United States would not be responsible for Iraq s losses. Again, the primary audience for this letter is Hussein himself, because in a dictatorship such as Iraq, the people themselves are deprived of such information. Brute ... The Research of Drosophila led to the theory of heredity, which with this research lead to the development of the chromosome theory, that presented the connection of genes through chromosomes. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it ... • 32. Essay About Khio That day started something between them. Hoshi teased about having a boyfriend but Jihoon referred to Mingyu as a human cat that wouldn t go away . Mingyu still sent him messages via printer but he also started coming over for a little while most days. They d chat and bicker. They d talk about high school and hobbies and best friends. Mingyu would pick at Jihoon s music taste. Jihoon would wonder aloud about Mingyu s lack of drawing skills. You re a good photographer but you re shit at pen on paper drawing. One. It doesn t stop you from keeping my drawings, Mingyu leans his head against the back of the couch and grins, Two. You just complimented my photography. You re good enough to make a living off of it apparently, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not until he turns around and sees his brother with a confused look on his face and a piece of paper in his hands. Uh, Jihoon? Yoongi, Jihoon sighs. Please just ignore that. Who is this? I didn t know you were involved with anyone. I m not, he snaps and snatches the paper from his brother s fingers, tossing it towards the coffee table without looking at it. He s like a pet cat. Yoongi laughs and Jihoon freezes. He knows that laugh. That laugh always came just before Yoongi convinced Jihoon to do something incredibly stupid and rash. That laugh that had their mother scolding them for hours. Oh. A cat, huh? Jihoon rubs the bridge of his nose: he can already feel the headache forming. Does he have all his shots? Yoongi eyes him closely, eyes dropping to Jihoon s neck for a moment, before wandering to the fridge and calling back over his shoulder. Does he bite? Did you buy him a proper collar? Oh. My. God. I hate you. Before he can do anything rash, like become an only child and call Hoshi for help with burying the body, the printer comes to life again. Yoongi wraps an arm around Jihoon s waist and yanks him back before he can reach the paper, laughing when Jihoon huffs and tries to trip him. It s another selfie of Mingyu. This time , he s sitting on Jihoon s counter with an incredibly smug look. The cat that ate the canary and all that, Jihoon s mind supplies. He ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Essay On To Kill A Mockingbird Coming Of Age In the book To Kill A Mockingbird, Scout grows up in a small town where nothing normally happens. When her dad is given a case to defend a black man, she gets thrown into a world where racism has been the norm. She hasn t been exposed to something like this, so she is confused, but she grows more mature in that time. She and Jem both come of age in different ways in the story and get a taste of the real world. Scout and Jem both show maturation throughout the book. Their father s decision to defend a black man opens them up to the harsh world of racism and prejudice, meanwhile he shows them how to be compassionate to people and not to follow the norm. The reason To Kill A Mockingbird is a great coming of age story is that it lifts Scout and Jem out of the racist society norms and asks them to be more and model their father s behavior. Even though racism is a big problem of our world today, it was a bigger problem when Jem and Scout were children. Scout is considered an unknowing kid by many people until she models her father s behavior and advice he gives her. You never really understand a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Books nowadays have taken teenagers to a different level entirely. Books like the Hunger Games, Divergent, or The Maze Runner have a dystopian theme to them where kids are thrown into a different world from their childhood. They create norms for the real world for the teenagers because we have been sucked into this new world. For us, this gives us a different intellect on what we think is right. As readers we look for a character that we can relate to. If we can do that, but it gives us a different perspective we may not want, then the books are giving us a norm that may not be healthy for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
