Principal of planning is basic need for planning of any type of building. It gives basic understanding for planning any type of building or building component.
Detailed specification of an item of work specifies the quantities of materials, proportion of mortar, workmanship, method of preparation & execution and method of measurement.
Detailed specifications of different items of works are prepared separately and describe what the work should be and these shall be executed and constructed.

Pavement component functions, factors affecting pavement design and basic pavement design of Flexible and Rigid pavement as per IRC guidelines, Steps for construction of highway on embankment and in cutting. Construction of embankment and subgrade, soil stabilization. Flexible Pavement: Construction of Granular Sub-Base/Drainage layer, Construction of Granular Base Course-WBM and WMM, Construction of bituminous pavement layers- base course and surface course, prime coat and tack coat. Rigid Pavement: Types of cement concrete pavement, components of cement concrete pavement and its functions, construction of cement concrete pavement, joints in cement concrete pavement-function and construction
This presentation covers introduction to Estimating and costing and its importance. Also, types of estimation, different terms and provisions used in estimating, are explained in it. Format of measurement sheet and abstract sheet and the rate analysis has been covered in this presentation. It can be helpful to study basics of estimating and costing.
Pile foundation is important for construction of foundation where bearing capacity of soil is poor. Pile foundation is use for distribution of uneven load of superstructure. There are so many type of pile are use for construction. Here i present some of pile with suitable condition for construction and methods for construction.
Thank you.
Contracts and Tenders
When two or more persons have common intention communicated to each other to create same obligation between them there is said to be an agreement. An agreement which is enforceable by law is a Contract.
A Tenders is called upon for executing certain specified work, or supplying specified materials; subjected to certain terms and conditions like rates, time limit, etc. It is an offer in written form: Legally speaking, it is an offer to receive an offer for the work, within the specified financial limits.

You could be a professional graphic designer and still make mistakes. There is always the possibility of human error. On the other hand if you’re not a designer, the chances of making some common graphic design mistakes are even higher. Because you don’t know what you don’t know. That’s where this blog comes in. To make your job easier and help you create better designs, we have put together a list of common graphic design mistakes that you need to avoid.
7 Alternatives to Bullet Points in PowerPointAlvis Oh
So you tried all the ways to beautify your bullet points on your pitch deck but it just got way uglier. These points are supposed to be memorable and leave a lasting impression on your audience. With these tips, you'll no longer have to spend so much time thinking how you should present your pointers.
3. INTRODUCTION
PRINCIPLES OF PLANNING
BASIC REQUIREMENT OF A BUILDING PLANNING
LAYOUT OF BUIDING
-RESIDENTIAL
-INDUSTRIAL
4. The term planning of building by an engineer is used to mean
the arrangement of all the units of a building on all floors and at all
levels and it not only includes the horizontal layout but also it takes
into consideration the height and level to accommodate the space
enclosed by walls, floors and roofs. During building planning, it is
important to keep in mind, the general purpose of the building. Each
type of building has its own requirement to suit its purpose in the best
possible manner. There should be proper thinking on the functional or
utility aspect of building. Main consideration of planning are:
Human habitation and their requirements
Climatic condition and effects
Bye-laws for planning and construction
Available finance
Comfort , safety and economy
6. Aspect refer to the planned arrangement of the doors and windows of external
walls to get sunlight , breeze and a good view of the scenery outside
Types Of Rooms Suggested Aspect
Drawing room, living room South, SE
Bedroom West, SW
Dining room South
Kitchen East
Verandah West, SW
7. A building is said to have prospect when it presents a
good and pleasing appearance when seen form
outside. It is used to mean the external view as certain
rooms of the building . Exterior wall painting and
windows should be provided in an attractive manner.
projected windows permit more light and air inside the
rooms as shown in fig.
8. •For residential building planning privacy is
important is important consideration.
•For more privacy center door location should be
avoided.
•Grouping refer to be easy communication and utility of various rooms.
•Kitchen and dining room should be close to each other.
•Storeroom should be adjacent to kitchen
•WC and urinals should be far away from the kitchen
•Kitchen and toilet black not exposed to drawing room.
•Bedroom connected to bath and less exposed to drawing room.
9. • roomminess refer to an arrangement of
getting the maximum advantage forms the
minimum or limited dimensions of a room.
•Space must be utilised economically
•The length and breadth ratio may be 1.20 to
1.50
•Small room should have low ceiling height
•Rectangular area of room is prefarable
instead of square room.
•The plan of building should be prepared by keeping mind the future requirement
•During building planning the size of furniture to be require for functional utility of
the rooms should be considered
•Kitchen has platform, cupboard, dining table, refrigerator, mill etc.
•Bedroom has bed, cupboard, side tables, dressing table etc.
•Children’s room has bed, study table, cupboard, dressing etc.
10. •Circulation refer to providing through passage
between rooms in building.
•It is necessary to permit horizontal circulation
through passage, corridors and lobbies and
vertical circulation through staircases, lifts and
ramps in building.
•Natural and artificial lighting is
provided in building planning.
By proper ventilation sunlight
•Can give good lighting
11. •Elegance refers to the planning of elevation and layout of the plan to give an
impressive appearance to the building
•The proper width, height, location of doors and windows, materials employed in
construction of exterior wall etc. create elegance. The result of elegance is
asthetics of building.
•Building planning should be carried out in the financial limit of the client.
•Provision for cleanliness, lighting and ventilation in sanitary units avoid growth
of becteria and spread of disease and give hygenic condition. In bath and w.c.
glazed tiles dedo should be provided on walls to maintain clean condition.
•Skirting should be provided in rooms.
•Bath tubs, unitary, w.c. pans, wash basin, kitchen sinks should be ceramic
materials to maintain them clean easily.
12. •The settings of plan of building
on its sites with reference to the
directions is known as orientation
•Direct sunlight, wind and rainfall
its intensity and type of
surroundings are taken into
consideration while deciding
orientation of the building
•The long walls of the building
should be placed towards north
and south.
•The short walls should be placed
towards east and west
13. •The planning of building has to give due consideration to the utility of the building
• a residence must have living room, bed room, kitchen, bath, w.c. , verandah and
circulation space.
•The selection of the site has an important bearing on the planning as well as
designing a building.
•A building has to be planned depending on the location and the geometry of
the site
•Owner should keep in mind the requirement as per family size and life style
while purchasing land for residence
•Local authorities have defined certain rules for the construction of various
types of building
•Owner and engineer must consider them while purchasing the land and
planning for that land
•Front margin should be left as per the exposure to NH, SH, MDR, ODR, VR,
urban obeyed
