Objectives: Naipapalabas ang punto de vista at saloobin ng mga ibat-ibang ‘gender’hinggil sa
gender equality
I. Getting to Know the Lesson (Knowledge)
Activity 1 (Song Listening and Interpretation)
The class is asked to listen carefully to a song by Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand,
“No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)”
Guide Questions:
1. What is described in the song?
2. What message does the song convey?

Activity 4 (Identifying Pictures)
1. Freedom of Marriage 2. Lack of Mobility 3. Frontline Comabat
4. Violence 5. Professional Obstacles 6. Access to Education
Activity 3 (Collaborative Work)
1. The class is formed into five (5) groups
2. Each group is assigned to a gender role in different fields of institution in the society:
• Group 1: Work
• Group 2: Education
• Group 3: Family
• Group 4: Government
• Group 5: Religion
3. The students are instructed to enumerate as many as they can on the topic assigned to
be written on a 1/4 size manila paper.
4. The students are to present their work in front
Guide Questions:
1. What you can say about the things written on the specific topics above?
2. How are gender roles distinguished in the society?
3. Based on the 5 topics above, what can you say about the roles identified by the
society to men and women?
Activity 3 (Personal Reactions)
1. Give your personal reactions whether you agree or disagree about any of the
following personal questions below:

1. From the same group of the previous activity, group are assigned to mimic the
following genders to be drawn from the box.
• Lesbians • Gays
• Bisexual • Transgenders
Guide Questions:
1. How does the activity impact you?
2. What does the society bring to us the moment we hear them?
3. What feeling does it convey?
Activity 5 (Poem Interpretation)
Equality (He For She)
Females and males are one in the
world,
although that is not the belief that has
been furled.
We are told that one gender is better
than the other,
it seems it's just one stereotype; one
after another.
Equality can become realised if only
we believe
and take the initiative to take action
and achieve.
Why shouldn't men and women be
treated the same?
To have equal rights and equal pay,
that should really be our aim.
Men, gender inequality is your issue
too,
although you may not agree, I'm
afraid it is true.
You should have the right to express
your emotions and be what you please,
You should not be pulled back by
stigma, but instead be who you are at
ease.
Instead of fighting, we should be
pulling together,
and make this journey a joint
endeavor.
We are of equal value if only we open
our eyes,
at the heart of change is where we
become most wise.
Now or never? If not us then who?
the interest in this movement must
come through.
Equality is not a privilege but a human
right,
all genders on the spectrum should be
able to shine bright.

3. How inequality affected all genders in different parts of the world on how they were
treated in the society?

1.The students are instructed to make poster of their idea or stands regarding the Reproductive Health Law
Guide Questions:
1. How does it feel for being a woman, a man or a gay to express out your true identity?
2. How would you portray you gender role in the society without fear?

Activity No. 8 (Padedebate or debate)
Proposition: Why No To Reproductive Health Law?
Guide Questions:
1. Based on the debate, which side do you take a stand?
2. How culture-bound issues on gender equality are to be responded?
Summative Assessment
(Create A Documentary)
1. The students are to make a documentary on how they can eliminate gender equality in the society in
their own little ways. The documentary should be be at least 5 minutes long.
Criteria:
Content : 20%
Originality/Creativity : 15%
Cinematography : 15%
Pacing/Editing : 20%
Audio : 10%
TOTAL : 100%

Activity 5 (Poem Interpretation) Equality (He For She) Females and males are one in the world, although that is not the belief that has been furled. We are told that one gender is better than the other, it seems it's just one stereotype; one after another. Equality can become realised if only we believe and take the initiative to take action and achieve. Why shouldn't men and women be treated the same? To have equal rights and equal pay, that should really be our aim. Men, gender inequality is your issue too, although you may not agree, I'm afraid it is true. You should have the right to express your emotions and be what you please, You should not be pulled back by stigma, but instead be who you are at ease. Instead of fighting, we should be pulling together, and make this journey a joint endeavor. We are of equal value if only we open our eyes, at the heart of change is where we become most wise. Now or never? If not us then who? the interest in this movement must come through. Equality is not a privilege but a human right, all genders on the spectrum should be able to shine bright. The students are to make a documentary on how they can eliminate gender equality in the society in their own little ways. The documentary should be be at least 5 minutes long.
