The Pros And Cons Of Fake News
Fake news is a problem that has affected everyone, especially politics, you ve might of encounter them
before but they re hard to indicate them. Fake news are false articles or stories that are passed down as
true. These fake news are categorized into three different spots. The categories are Satirical news,
clickbait, and Partisan bias articles. Satirical news or satire is a type of parody presented in a format
typical of mainstream journalism. According to merriam webster clickbait is something (such as a
headline) designed to make readers want to click on a hyperlink especially when the link leads to
content of dubious value or interest . Partisan bias articles are articles made by an adherent or
supporter of a person, group, and party that shows favors of or shows being against one thing. Even
though there many articles out there, Indicating whether they re real is hard but not impossible.
First of all many have thoughts and wonder why are fake articles harmful ? They re so harmful in fact
that big internet programs like Google and Facebook are attempting to remove them from their sites.
Fake articles are harmful because they spread false information about a topic. The information spread
by a false article can cripple or ruin someone s reputation. For example the new york times made a
article about Eric Tucker. Eric tucker a man in Austin, Texas, with only about 40 Twitter followers,
fueled a nationwide conspiracy theory about demonstrations against Mr. Trump.

National Parks Across The Planet
Wonder, vastness, unsullied nature, and untouched beauty: all words that describe national parks
across the planet. One such place, a series of islands about 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, became
officially recognized as an Ecuadorian National Park in 1959, and later a UNESCO World Heritage
Site in 1979 (Galapagos Islands Geology Volcanoes, n.d.). None other than the Galapagos Islands
themselves, the park is perhaps one of, if not the most captivating National Parks on the globe. When
one hears Galapagos Islands, the ecological diversity is often the first association brought to mind.
While it holds true that the islands contain possibly one of the most diversified bionomics in the
world, its geological history is just as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Ecuadorian archipelago sits entirely on the Nazca tectonic plate, a continental plate constantly
subjected to volcanic and tectonic activity. While the plate endlessly drifts east southeast, it encounters
the Galapagos hot spot, a source of intense and relentless volcanic activity in the ocean. According to
White (1997), large columns of torrid rock approximately 100 kilometers in diameter, called mantle
plumes, emerge from the mantle at a rate of an estimated ten centimeters per year. A peculiar
interaction occurs with these plumes; once they rise from the lower asthenosphere to the upper
lithosphere, the plumes actually melt by approximately twenty percent from the sheer force of
pressure decompression rather than heat, as the lithosphere is cooler than the asthenosphere. This
melting begins at roughly 150 kilometers in depth, and continues rising until the process is halted by
reaching the lithosphere; the resulting magma rises into collections in and immediately beneath the
lithosphere, named magma chambers. When the conditions are ideal, these chambers can release their
magma onto the surface in an explosive attempt to equalize density and pressure, colloquially known
as a volcanic eruption (White, 1997). Consecutive eruptions like these over hundreds of thousands of
years cause the actual formation of a volcano; furthermore, over time, magma can crystallise in the
magma chamber causing a thickening of the chamber, and thus an addition

Their short term objectives would be increasing sales. The vision would centre around employee co
ownership with the happiness of partners as the ultimate purpose. The mission is the satisfaction of
employees. Finally, the value would be to represent the best possible choice, as a result of providing
the best quality, trust and customer service.
As for BA, their vision is being the world s most responsible airline , their value is centred on putting
people first.
The mission of WVI is to dedicate themselves to work with children, families and communities to

1 2 Describe the extent to which an organisation meets the objectives of different stakeholders
Stakeholders have a significant influence on the aims of an organisation. They are the people who are
affected by or interested in the business. In some organisations the shareholders are stakeholders, and
at times have some of the decision power. In trade organisations, customers are also considered
stakeholders; therefore their needs are part of the organisation s overall objectives.
The following table outlines the stakeholders for each of British Airways, John Lewis and World
Vision International. It also indicates the level of power each stakeholder represents and the
organisations interest in them.

How Is Harrison Bergeron Violated
The story Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. explains that people are being forced to wear
handicaps to make everyone equal in every aspect. Also, a man called Harrison Bergeron was sent to
prison without a trial because the government believed that he was planning to overthrow the
government but later on he escapes. It also explains that Harrison goes to the TV studio where a
ballerina had given the news to the public and claims that he is the Emperor of everyone. He soon told
everyone that he was going to select an Empress and so, a ballerina stood up and became his Empress.
Harrison and the ballerina soon started to dance and kissed. As they were dancing Diana Moon
Glampers, the Handicap General, came in and shot both Harrison and the ballerina and command
everyone who had their handicaps off to put them on before they too get shot. The was a what Harrison

To solve the problems in Harrison Bergeron I have proposed a new legislation. This new legislation is

The semi formal/casual formal and formalwear segment has a number of players and retailers with a
number of both homegrown as well as international brands. The utility footwear segment is the most
price sensitive and is dominated mostly by domestic players and retailers both organized and
unorganized.
Men s footwear comprises the largest share of the organized market in value terms. The ladies
footwear segment remains the most untapped as nearly 80 90 percent purchases happen in the
unorganized market largely due to the dressing habits of women for whom consideration of durability
or comfort are less important than colors and designs that go with dress. The children s and kid s
segment also accounts for a significant share due to the increased emphasis on sporty looks.
4.Key Domestic Players
Bata: Bata India has established a leadership position in the industry and is the most trusted name in
branded footwear.
The company manufactures footwear for men, women and children. These include shoes of various
quality such as leather, rubber, canvas and PVC shoes. Bata Group has worldwide presence across 5

The Success Of Aston Martin
When one has a history of car racing talent, passion for automobiles and enthusiasm, one can start
their own car production and sales business. That s how the Aston Martin brand was started, born into
a garage by Lionel Matin and Robert Bamford.
After Lionel Martin emerged victorious out of the famed Aston Hill race, Aston Martin was founded
in the year 1913. The duo of Martin Bamford produced their first car 2 years later in 1915 by fitting a
four cylinder Coventry Simplex engine to a 1908 Isotta Fraschinni chassis. However, the First World
War shattered their plans of starting production as both car makers joined the army.
Down but not out, Aston Martin prevailed as soon as the War was over, with the company being
refunded to resume its activity. But soon after bad news again came by when Bamford left Aston
Martin in 1920. Luckily Martin found a wealthy investor Count Louis Zborowski who saw the true
potential of the brand and poured heavy funds into its rejuvenation.
Aston Martin produced vehicles to compete in the French Grand Prix in 1922.It gained fame by
appearing in some of the most popular races of that time, the cars also collected acclaim by setting

The Meaning Of The Word In English Literature
During literature class, where we read narrative that goes from the middle ages to the present, I noted
that in many writings, several words appeared constantly in different stories from different authors
that nowadays, are less used or uncommon. Including bosom , alas , nay , gay . Where bosom was
used to refer to the chest as the seat of emotions. Alas used an exclamation to express sorrow, grief,
pity, or concern. These words were commonly used in the Middle English 1225 75. Nay is a denial or
refusal that was substituted simply for no . However, the word that had an even more drastic change of
its meaning was gay .
This project analyzes and investigates how common this word was in the English narrative. A
hypothesis will be created of the reasons why its meaning may have changed. An example of its use in
literature will be presented through different periods of time with different authors. At the beginning,
according to the Oxford dictionary and the website dictionary.com, gay evolved from given to or
abounding in social or other pleasures; bright or show; having or showing a merry, lively mood. To ,
in a certain period of time, changed drastically to mean sexually unrestrained or having loose morals.
Turned to be an offensive synonymous for awkward, stupid, bad or lame. At the end, nowadays is
relating to, or exhibiting sexual desire or behavior directed toward a person or persons of one s own
sex; homosexual.
Hypothesis: Originally, the word gay

My Initial Jump Into Real Estate
There are many terms involved with the real estate closing process; so many that books are available
just to cover the wide array of vocabulary. In this report I will be covering three pieces of terminology
that I personally find important for me to thoroughly understand during my initial jump into real
estate. The first piece of terminology I will be covering is the mortgage. In my opinion the mortgage is
one of the biggest pieces of the home closing process that needs to be understood by all parties.
Secondly, I will be covering closing costs. Closing costs is a very broad term assigned to a large group
of smaller costs involved during the closing process and it can be important to know where that money
is going. Finally, I will be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first of these three, fixed rate mortgages, are arguably the simplest and easiest to understand. The
idea of the fixed rate mortgage is simple, you are given a set interest rate for a set amount of time. The
mortgage payment for a fixed rate mortgage is calculated at the time of mortgage origination and stays
that rate for the life of the mortgage (minus tax and insurance fluctuations if included in the mortgage
payment). The length of a fixed rate mortgage (as well as other mortgages) can vary widely, from 10
years all the way up to 40. According to the book Mortgage Confidential , a typical spread between a
30 year and a 15 year fixed rate is normally about ½ percent , meaning if you can find a 30 year rate at
7.00 percent, then a similarly priced 15 year mortgage at most places will be in the 6.50 percent range.
(Reed, 2011, p.157). Adjustable rate mortgages, like fixed rate mortgages, have a set length, but do not
have a fixed interest rate. Adjustable rate mortgages can be based on a variety of indexes and are set
using an index and a margin. (Reed, 2011, p.149). Simply stated, the interest rate of adjustable rate
mortgages fluctuates with the financial market. The interest rate of an adjustable rate mortgage will
change depending on the type of mortgage. A one year adjustable will typically adjust once per year, a
six month ARM will adjust every six months, and monthly ARMs will

Great Hammerhead Research Paper
Hammerheads are usually talked about as if it was just one creature but in a matter of fact the
hammerhead shark comes in nine different species. The largest of the species is the Great hammerhead
shark, they can range from 3.4m to 6m long and 225kg to 450kg in weight, the females are larger than
the males but males mature at an earlier stage, although smaller sizes are more commonly found. The
hammerhead sharks habitat is offshore in water depths of 300m, also in shallow coastal areas like
continental shelves and lagoons. The hammerhead moves poleward when migrating to get to cooler
waters when it is the summer season, which is caused by the abiotic factors. The young swim mostly

They have a great sense of smell so they are able to scout out food without too much trouble.
Hammerheads also eat fish, octopus, squid and sometimes other sharks, even its own young if food
was scarce. There have been reports that when food is scarce they will turn on each other so they
could survive. The stingray is the hammerheads favourite food source. Hammerhead sharks, although
dangerous, are keen eaters of stingrays. They patiently search the ocean floor for a buried stingray and
when they have located one it sneaks up behind and pins the ray to the floor using its abnormal sizes
head, slowly devouring it while it s alive.
Out of the many 10 known species of hammerhead sharks, only a small 3 of them have been known to
be reasonably dangerous to humans. This consists of the Scalloped Hammerhead, Great hammerhead
and the smooth hammerhead. Since 2013 there have been 33 recorded hammerhead shark attacks, but
no deaths have become of them. The Scalloped and Great hammerhead sharks have been listed as
endangered on the IUCN 2008 s red list but the smalleye hammerhead shark is only rated as
vulnerable. The reason these sharks have been rated as this is because of the over

Central Themes in the Work of Jacques Ellul
Jacques Ellul was a professor of history and the Sociology of Institutions on the Faculty of Law and
Economic Sciences at the University of Bordeaux. He wrote 58 books and more than a thousand
articles over his career, many of which discussed propaganda, the influence of technology on society,
and also the correlation between religion and politics. The central theme of Ellul s work proved to be
the threat to human freedom and religion shaped by modern technology.
Ellul s continual concern was the rise of a technological oppression over humanity. According to the
Boston Globe newspaper, he was a leader in the French resistance in World War II. For his
determination to save the Jews, he was labeled Righteous among the Nations by Yad Vashem in 2001.
He was also a layman in the Reformed Church of France and achieved a high position within it as part
of the National Council.
Ellul considered Karl Barth, a leader of the confrontation against the German state church in World
War II, the greatest theologian of the 20th century. Ellul also considered his father his role model. He
has been credited with coining the phrase, Think globally, act locally. According to the International
Jacques Ellul Society (IJES), Ellul frequently said that he was born in Bordeaux by chance, but that it
was by choice that he spent almost all his academic career there.
Ellul viewed the domination of mass media as an example of technology utilizing control over human

Dreaming the Dream in The Great Gatsby, and Of Mice and Men
The American Dream has long been thought the pinnacle idea of American society. The idea that
anyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, or financial status, could rise from the depths and become
anything they wanted to be with no more than hard work and determination has attracted people from
all around the world. Two writers from America s past, however, have a different opinion on the once
great American Dream. F. Scott Fitzgerald and John Steinbeck have given the public their beliefs on
the modern Dream through the novels they have written, The Great Gatsby, and Of Mice and Men,
respectively. One novel placed during the Great Depression and the other during the Roaring Twenties
both illustrate how their author feels about the Dream ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a different, yet similar way, Steinbeck also uses irony to illustrate the American Dream. He too
shows the problems of the Dream with his use of the literary device. Before George answered, Candy
dropped his head and looked down at the hay. He knew. George said softly, I think I knowed from the
very first. I think I knowed we d never do her. He usta like to hear about it so much I got to thinking
maybe we would. (Steinbeck, 94) After so much work and pain, George and Candy realize that their
dream has been a lost cause. While kind, Lennie s mistakes have ended their goal of purchasing their
own land and having a better life. George still has a chance of attaining his goal, but it has been
severely injured. In the honest efforts of George, Lennie, and Candy, Steinbeck presents some form of
flaw in the American Dream with his use of the brutal irony that is the downfall of the trio s dream.
Both authors have an apparent detestation towards what the American Dream has become in their
time, and irony proves to be an outstanding apparatus to capture their thoughts.
The settings of both novels also help the reader observe the authors perspective of the faltering
American Dream. In Of Mice and Men, Steinbeck places the events of his novel in California during
the Great Depression; years after the events of Fitzgerald s

Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ Is a Warning Against the...
Ambition plays a major role in Shakespeare s tragedy of Macbeth, and is presented as a dangerous
quality that principally influences the characters to do wrong. This play gives off a warning of how
ambition can affect people and their actions by its influence on Macbeth and his wife, Lady Macbeth.
This disastrous story begins with the witches predicting that Macbeth would become Thane of Cawdor
and then King of Scotland. Hence, Macbeth s ambition emerges, furthermore persuaded by his wife
and also the prophecies that he depended on so well. He murders King Duncan and others and
accordingly becomes the new ruler of Scotland. These actions are ones based on the dangers of
ambition, thus making it the fatal flaw that causes their downfall. ... Show more content on

This is similar to Macbeth s situation since his ambition would drive him to clear the obstacle of
Duncan and thus become king. Macbeth gives into his dominating ambition and murders King
Duncan. Hence, Macbeth becomes the King of Scotland. When Macbeth also realises that there were
more obstacles in his path, he unhesitatingly commits more murder, and slays his best friend Banquo
and Macduff s family, gaining his status of king for longer, or so he thought. This states that ambition
can make you a heartless person so that you will do anything to attain your objective. Thus it is shown
that the play Macbeth is a caution against the threats of ambition. Even after Macbeth s ambition leads
to a fatal ending for those around him, he still wouldn t doubt the witches words. Macbeth shall never
vanquish d be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him (Act 4, Sc. 1,
Lines 91 93). This prediction that is made by the witches furthermore expands Macbeth s aspiration,
making him believe that he is invincible. This way of thought causes his and his wife s downfall. This
is seen since Lady Macbeth commits suicide from what ambition has done to her life, and Macbeth,
being so trusting in the witches words, doesn t take anything other then his own ambition into account.
At the end of the play, Macbeth is killed in the battle without mercy by Macduff.

This would authorize the people of the territory to form a constitution and a state government and this
was the goal they hoped to achieve. They also set out for the admission of the territory to be in the

legislation. This would authorize Missouri to frame a constitution for the state. Missouri wanted
admission from the Union and the Northern states opposed it. They felt as if the Southern states that
were slaveholding had too much power already. Also, the Constitution allowed states to count each
slave as three fifths of a person. They determined population with these numbers which raised the
amount of Congressional representatives the state could have. Thus, the South had an advantage in

slavery. Since popular support in northern states for the restriction of slavery remained high, northern
politicians had strong incentives to oppose the admission of any new states with slavery (Forbes,

However, how does the advancement of video games affect our relationships with one another? While
a group of people strongly believe that it is helping bring people together, the addiction, the over
competitiveness mentality, and the frustration that video games generate are, in reality, pushing people
apart.
Video games are addictive. It makes its users forget themselves and their surroundings, including their
loved ones. What makes people addicted to video games is the fact that video games are constantly
rewarding people for every little in game act they do when playing the game. For instance, one gains
virtual currency or skill points for every point, rebounds, blocks, and steals one records in the game
NBA 2K. Another example, one gains money and reputation points every time one finish a mission in
the game Grand Theft Auto. The constant rewards are a type of positive reinforcement that people do
not easily receive in real life and this makes people want to keep playing the games over and over
again: The addition of a stimulus [will] increase the probability that a behavior will be repeated
(Grison 212). In this instance, the addition of a stimulus is the rewards (virtual currency or reputation
points) that video games give to its users and the behavior that is expected to be repeated is the act of
playing that video games. In an article for the video game addiction.org, Meghan Vivo, the Content

Essay On Timers
The use of counters and timers in PLCs has helped increase the efficiency of manufacturing and been
of great importance. Timers and counters have been used outside plcs for a long time have shown
themselves to be of great help. There use inside plcs has helped reduce space and the many of the
complications of hardwiring. First, let s start out with the Ton timer. Ton timers were first used in plcs
in the slc 500s. For all timers, there are three bits. The enabled bit, timer timing bit, and the done bit.
On a Ton timer, the enable bit activated when there is a path of true conditions energizing the timer.
The timer timing bit is activated when the timer is energized, and the timer is timing up to the preset.
Lastly, the done bit energizes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What has changed greatly is when the timer timing and down bits energize and de energize. The timer
timing bit for an TOF timer energizes when the timer loses a path of true conditions. This can be
useful for if this timer is put in parallel with a load and you want a device to run for a set amount of
time after the load has de energized. With there use the allow for the simplifying of a program and
more ease of understanding. Furthermore, the done bit energizes as soon as the timer energizes. When
the timers accumulative value reaches its preset the done bit de energizes opposite of the TON and the
RTO. Next, there are counters and their functions. There are two types of counters the count up and
the count down. Like timers, they have a done bit. It works exactly the same as it did when used in
timers. Unlike timers though counters also have count up and count down bits. When the counter is
energized, depending on which counter is being activated, the counter will add or deduct one number
from the accumulative value. It will only add one number for each false to true transition. Count up
timers can be used to reach a specific amount of material or objects. Using a count down and a count
up timer together in a program with the same address is very useful. One counter will count during a
certain set of conditions up and the other down with its

Pros And Cons Of Net Neutrality
Net Neutrality Regulation Pros As previously stated, net neutrality is a complex subject and it has
many layers. One issue of major of concern is that of fast lanes and the establishment of net neutrality
would prevent ISPs from forming these types of connections. Simplified, a fast lane is line of service
that provides faster upload and download speeds. A fast lane would allow ISPs to charge companies
such as Netflix, Skype, PlayStation Plus, and other streaming services for faster connections that
would allow consumers to access the services easier and faster. Proponents of net neutrality worry that
the extra expenses for fast lanes could become a formidable challenge for startups and small business
owners. Large corporations typically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many neutrality proponents contend that failing to develop and enforce net neutrality will lead to the
ability of ISPs to block access to content. Currently, there is a freedom of choice in that ISPs are
unable to obstruct certain sites or contents over others but that hasn t always been the case. There have
been several cases over the last few years where ISPs have moved to block internet content. Comcast
is probably the best known culprit. In the early to mid 2000 s, Comcast monitored network traffic
patterns and began blocking certain websites (Ammori, 2014). The sites that were targeted were those
that are known as peer to peer. Peer to peer (P2P) sites utilize technology that allow users to share data
without having a centralized server. There have been instances where illegal data has been shared but
it would be impossible for an ISP to determine that simply from traffic patterns. Peer to peer sites are
not the only ones that have been targeted. In 2005, an ISP in North Carolina moved to block traffic
that allowed users to access Vonage, an application that allows users to make telephone calls via the
internet. AT T had a contract with Apple that asked AT T to block all applications that offered video
chat over a cellular network. This allowed Apple s application, Facetime, to become the preferred
application of iPhone

Sleep Deprivation And Sleep Disorders
Since, technology has become more about of society there has been a trend in people who are not
getting a full night s rest. According to the National Commission on Sleep Disorders Research, at least
40 million Americans suffer from chronic, long term sleep disorders (Sleep Disorders and Sleeping
Problems ). There are several causes for the increase in lack of sleep or sleep deprivation; which
include, using electronics late at night, using your bed for more than just sleeping, and anxiety.
As a result, of more American s using electronics late at night, using your bed for more than sleeping,
and increased anxiety has caused society to constantly lose a good night s rest. There are many people
who every now and then don t sleep well, but there are several who experience what is called sleep

of sleep exacts a toll on perception and judgment. In the workplace, its effects can be seen...accidents.

Suicide Among Young Rural Women
Suicide is a universal phenomenon that has deep and extensive implications for the overall wellbeing
of a community. Not only is suicide a tragic personal and societal loss, but suicide rates can also serve
as an index of underlying societal problems, such as sources of oppression and lack of social support.
Exhibiting several interesting suicide trends, China is a country that provides ample opportunity for
investigating the problem of suicide and its causes. There are observed Western patterns of urban,
male, and mentally ill populations being at greater risk for suicide trends that are challenged by the
reversed patterns of suicide in China, where youth, female gender, and rural residence are a potentially
lethal combination .1 The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, in Western societies, suicide is 3 times more prevalent in urban than in rural areas2, 3 5
times more prevalent in males than in females when measured through completion rates (though
attempt rates are higher among females)3, and 9 times more often associated with mental illness than
not.1 The explanations for these trends draw on psychological and sociological theories: it has been
hypothesized that men are more likely than women to use lethal means of attempting suicide, and that
the economic hardship, unemployment, and social disintegration that afflict city life make suicide a
greater problem in urban than in rural areas.4 In China, however, the trends regarding gender, urban
status, and mental health are surprisingly reversed: rural suicides outnumber urban suicides by a 3:1
ratio, female suicides outnumber male suicides by a 3:1 ratio, and as few as 40% of suicides are
accompanied by mental illness.5
The Western perspective is accustomed to viewing suicide as intrinsically linked to mental health
conditions such as depression, and thus often examines suicide by considering individual
psychological factors. However, the unique patterns of suicide seen in China require an examination
of suicide not only from a mental health perspective, but also from an anthropological perspective that
is sensitive to social stressors, not just

Analysis Of Disabled And Out, Out
Disabled by Wilfred Owen and Out, Out by Robert Frost are infamous for their powerful and
impactful atmospheres and the ways in which they have creates them, some of the methods being
shared and with some of the methods differing, which is what I intend to discuss in this essay.
One way in which Disabled and Out, Out compare in the atmosphere is through their use of pity to
evoke extreme emotions. Owen creates pity for the narrator through the strong contrast between his
life before the war and after it.We can see that pathetic fallacy is used throughout when describing the
post war society, with words such as dark , ghastly and solemn used to emphasise the narrator s
internal feelings, which is evident by how the entire poem is essentially an internal monologue, which
is often synonymous with internal darkness and a conflicting mind. Owen also uses the idea of
isolation to create pity, by repeating phrases such as why don t they come to emphasise loneliness.
Owen also refers to the narrator s lack of female attention as to evoke pity, especially when his
disability is referred to as a queer disease . Frost also uses pity to evoke emotion throughout his poem.
We can see this clearly when he writes Call it a day, I wish they might have said. This short sentence is
foreboding and creates a sense that the latter lines will evoke pity and suffering upon the boy. The
tragedy of the situation also evokes pity, especially as his condition rapidly worsens, with him

programs to Governor Jaia which improves the health status of residents in the state while positively
impacting the state s economy. A tax incentive is defined as a reduction in taxes that encourages
companies or people to do something that will help the country s economy (cambridge.dictionary.org).
The tax incentive for this health initiative will analyze the state s economic bottom line while

The analyst must show Governor Jaia that employers who supply these health initiatives to employees
seek to reap benefits from these programs including lower health related costs, increased productivity,
and higher employee morale, which increase their bottom line (Berry, Mirabito, Baun, 2014). Is the
problem that exercise options and health foods are not available and affordable, or are individuals
simply making the choice not to engage in healthy behavior because they prefer to spend their time
and money on other goods and activities? The focal point of the analyst in answering this question
should be to demonstrate how individuals that do not have access to or who are unable to afford
exercise or wellness options are less prone to be involved in healthy behavior thus leading to lower
productivity and absenteeism due to health related issues. The analyst should point out that when
employers take an active role in making healthy choices readily available to employees all parties
stand to profit. Employees who choose to take an active role by participating in such programs benefit
from healthy lifestyle changes which in turn increases productivity and reduces health spending for
employers.
Lastly, the analyst should attempt to present Governor Jaia with evidence based results showing how
companies that engage in wellness programs for employees

Teaching And Coaching As A Philosophy
A philosophy can be defined as a set of values and behaviours that serve to guide the actions of a
coach (Wilcox and Trudel, 1998, p.41). By drawing from all facets of a person s life, each is specific
to the learner and distinguishes teachers and coaches from one another. It can be consciously
developed as the professional, teacher/coach and student within education is exposed to a practice as
well as other life experiences. It is believed that clearly articulating one s philosophy is a prerequisite
to good practice (Cassidy et al, 2008, p.55) throughout this essay I hope to reflect on my increasing
knowledge foundation in teaching and coaching and how it has successfully developed and been
applied to my philosophy as a coach.

However, I disagree, as a coach I believe you must have specific sport knowledge to the sport in
context but knowledge from a wider base to fully engage in successful practice of techniques which
accompany a successful end result as well as being able to develop the athlete on a wider basis. This is
supported by the fact coaches work with fewer people and at a higher skill level does not negate the
fact that they are engaged in teaching...skills, techniques and strategies ( Drewe, 2000, p.81) this
coupled with the fact coaches tend to spend more time with athletes which means they too, also
develop the fundamental domains of the athlete. For this reason I believe both roles are intertwined
and provide basis for both to thrive from. In order to for me to be an affective coach I must take both
concepts and make sure that I develop the child s ability as well as other factors.
A way I have developed as a coach is by exploring philosophies of coaching and in particular three
core philosophical concepts, values (axiology), morality (ethics), and meaning (ontology). Values
(axiology) can be split into two sources, which include value in both sport and coaching and more
distinctly subjective and objective values. This is determined by whether a person is intrinsically or
extrinsically motivated. Subjective values

The Model Of Health Care
Scenario One
Q1. Which model of health would be the most suitable for you to use and why?
The practice of health care can be divided into two models in which a health professional may
approach their patient. This includes the medical model, where the patient is only viewed as a
syndrome, or the host of a disease, or the biopsychosocial model (BPS), which was developed by
George L. Engel in 1977.1 The BPS model appreciates the person as a whole, having psychological
and socio economic impacts on their health and adherence, as well as the ailment they may or may not
be suffering from at any point in time.1 In the case of LH, where it is clear her health and wellbeing is
being affected by her lifestyle, it would be more appropriate to approach the situation with the
empathetic biopsychosocial model. The health professional is then able to understand LH s health and
wellbeing by linking it to her social setting, namely her stress relatedly to her role as a single mother
unstable living conditions. They can also appreciate her unwillingness to quit smoking if they connect
it to the stress in her life. Understanding how LH s unemployment, homelessness and parenthood
affects her ability to adopt good health care, can assist health professionals in developing an
individualised health care plan for LH.
Q2. Identify some of the barriers to medication adherence for this patient?
Using the BPS model, the barriers to medication adherence can be predicted. A significant factor to

The tribes seem to be self sufficient in dual production for either their household or the community. As
time progress the communal granaries turn more into the community stores and depending on your
position in the tribe depends on if you hold a key to a communal storehouse. The storehouses
distributed most of their food to public feast, ceremonial occasions or families in need; like widows
and orphans. The tribes like to feed the elite during political and social activities and when supporting
military operations (Hann 1986:145, Scarry, 263). The data is limited, but those who have provided
the evidence indicate that the Native American production was truly impressive. Soto and his army

fields and their abundance stored in the granaries. Rangel discovered the same as Soto that
everywhere they traveled there was an abundance of their crops, whether it be maize, pumpkins,

Wedgwood, C.V. The Thirty Years War. London: Lowe Brydone Ltd, 1938. Print. It is difficult to
determine when the Thirty Years War really began. Ultimately, a culmination of events led to the
tension between the countries of the Ottoman Empire. Prior to the war s beginning on May 23, 1618,
Europe was in a state of religious, political, and imperial turmoil. The Lutherans, Catholics, and
Calvinists were all competing for religious dominance. Political leaders tried to advocate for their

Although Wedgwood mentions the incident, she doesn t emphasize it being a huge turning point with
regard to the conflicts in Germany. The extraordinary chance which had saved three lives was a holy
miracle or a comic accident according to the religion of the beholder, but it had no political
significance (Wedgwood p. 79). The Denfenstration of Prague is the initial event that instigated the
tension because it was a rebellion. People became angry and fought for what they thought was right.
Frederick and Ferdinand began to raise their own armies by asking for help from other European
countries. Ferdinand received assistance from Maximilian of Bavaria. In Western Civilizaton, it also
mentions him getting help from Spain. He ensured this help by promising Frederick s lands to them.
Wedgwood explains that this could be considered unconstitutional according to the Peace of
Augsburg. Ferdinand signed this document declaring that German liberties would be observed in
1555. This means that each country can have its own religion if it s Catholic or Lutheran and that they
are the Electors for the empire. If the German princes do not consent to the impeachment of Frederick
as Bohemian king, then giving the land away is stealing. Frederick asked England for support,
especially since he was married to the English King s daughter Elizabeth. Unfortunately, the king had

Thucydides Retelling Of The Peloponnesian War
In ancient Greek times, it was typical for all written texts to focus on the Greek Gods and their
omnipotence. Thucydides retelling of the Peloponnesian War is considered a secular text mainly due
to the fact that the work was one of the first of its time period to not put any emphasis on the Gods.
Many believe that the work s lack of religious referencing is what makes it secular; however, under
further examination, the reason the text does not discuss Gods could be due to the overall topic and
theme of the book. Since Thucydides is based primarily on the history of the Peloponnesian War, the
lack of referencing to the Gods may have been unintentional on Thucydides part. The Old Testament,
in opposition to Thucydides as a secular text, was written for religious purposes. Since the Old
Testament is predominantly composed of religious prophecies, and its purpose is utilized in different
religions, it is considered a religious work.
Thucydides wrote his work as a historical and objective work for readers to learn about the
Peloponnesian War. The lesson that readers are intended to learn from this work is that we must learn
from our past mistakes, such as going to war for no logical reasons. Thucydides may not have
incorporated any Gods into his work because of the fact that the purpose behind his objective work
was to teach future generations of mankind s faults of creating this war. Thucydides wrote this as he

The Myth Of The Cherokee Indians
There are many religions in this world and many creation myths that accompany those religions. Each
religion has its own unique viewpoint on how the world came to be. The Cherokee myth I have chosen
is something that may seem outrageous to the outsider, but it is how the Cherokee Indians have
viewed their creation for many years.
The Cherokee believed that before their world as they know it began, it was just water. All the animals
lived in a land called Galun lati that was above the water (in the sky), but it was overcrowded. A water
beetle, named Dayuni si, volunteered to explore the water beneath them. Dayuni si was unable to find
solid ground on the surface of the water, but dove below the surface and only found mud. The beetle
brought the mud to the water s surface and it began to grow and spread out. This mud became the
Earth, as the Cherokee Indians knew it. Later the Earth was tied to the sky with a string at each of the
corners ( Native American Myths of Creation ). The Earth was too wet so the animals sent the Great
Buzzard from Galun lati and told him to go and make it ready for them. He flew all around the land,
but it was still soft. By the time he had traveled to Cherokee country, he was tired as his wings flapped
the ground, they created mountains and valleys. The animals concluded that the land was too dark so
they made the sun and gave it a path to travel on each day from the east to the west. After the plants
and animals, humans were created. They

Dead Sea Srolls Study Guide
1. What are some methodological issues scholars encounter studying the Hebrew Bible and the
histories of ancient Israel?
There are so many different variations of the same text that the story cannot be aligned with assurance
for some scholars. There are different perspectives regarding the same stories in history, therefore they
have been separated into their own collections of literature; such as canonization and biblical text
recognized by different sects. Not all of the Hebrew Bible was written in Hebrew, in fact, some of the
scriptures were written in Aramaic. Scholars also run into the issue with sources by means of
interpretation and preservation. Primary sources like the Dead Sea Scrolls are easier to extract
information from rather than archeological artifacts that are likely to be open to interpretation.
2. What do multiple canons and collections of texts tell us about canonization? Why do scholars
consider canonization a process, not a moment? What is the significance of the Dead Sea Scrolls and
what do they tell us about textual traditions during the Second Temple period?

The content of these books was from the laws of Moses to the birth and death of humanity and all that
was in between, about a three thousand year timeframe. The preservation of these scriptures including

What Is Asian Americans Considered A Model Minority
Though Asians make up the largest portion of the world s population, Asian Americans are one of the
least represented minority groups within the United States. Out of an estimated 318 million people

Hispanics at 54 million and African Americans at 42 million, Asians and/or Asian Americans are
vastly outnumbered by the two other major minority groups and even more so by the majority,
European Americans. Even though Asians are typically considered the model minority , they are faced
with the same issues that plague many other minority groups within the U.S. today to include
stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination and ethnocentrism. There has been a history of discriminatory
national policies directed at the immigration of Asians to the U.S. and in times of duress, the labeling
and targeted institutional discrimination of specific ethnicities of Asian Americans as traitors based
solely on country of origin and not on the deeds and actions of said U.S. citizens (Japanese internment
camps of World War II). The label Asian American represents over 40 different subgroups, with each

that the label Asian American represents. It can sometimes be easy to fall into the practice of believing
that all Asian Americans are the same, unless of course you deal with a variety of different ethnicities

Chicago. Both would also go on to inspire many other social changes due to their methodologies and
accomplishments. However, Addams and Alinsky s approaches to bring about social change are often
described as being polar opposites. One could argue though, that despite these superficial differences,
Addams and Alinsky shared a commonality that is not often talked about. Jane Addams started the
Hull House. She brought services to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This falls back to Alinsky s do anything to win mentality and win he did. The BYNC housed the infant
station and the Chicago Settlement never regained its footing within the community. Alinsky had
again proved the effectiveness of his methods (Hamington, 2010). Addams and Alinsky appear to have
very different organizing philosophies. Alinsky himself often commented how his methods were so
different than those of the settlement houses. These comments however, should have been more
directed at what the settlement houses had become and not at the originating principles of Jane
Addams Hull House. Jane Addams herself would likely disapprove of the direction that the settlement
houses had moved towards. Addams and Alinsky both recognized the importance of listening and
learning the needs of the community in order to gain perspective. Addams recognized that when
existing social institutions do not provide a reasonable means for citizen participation, those citizens
will organize to resist... Similarly, Alinsky viewed his organizations as fully democratic [stating]: This
kind of organization can be built only if people are working together for real, attainable objectives
(Hamington, 2010). The connections between the philosophies of Addams and Alinsky are
inextricably linked. The resonance between the social philosophies of Addams and Alinsky is not
surprising if the Chicago School connection is taken into account. Addams and Hull House helped

Upon The Burning Of Our House By Anne Bradstreet
Upon the Burning of Our House, written by Anne Bradstreet, describes a rather sad event in which her
lovely house is burnt to the ground. In her efforts to relay her emotions she utilizes a variety of literary
devices such as vivid imagery, assonance and biblical allusions. The poem gives description of how
she felt during the very event, how she feels as she passes the ruins of her once erect household and
how she came to the realization that she would get through the experience with God by her side. The
poem (as per usual of Anne Bradstreet) employs rhyming couplets, these were used to apply
emphasize on her attachment towards her house but then is later used to give awareness to the fact that
all earthly things pass away leaving nothing

Analysis Of Dina Litovsky s Untag This Photography
Dina Litovsky is an American photographer who s works examine and capture social behaviour and
interactions in individuals and groups in both public and private settings. An example of her works
where she captures aspects of social behaviour can be seen in her collection Untag This Photo which
investigates how public behaviour has been influenced by the accessibility and availability of media
and technology especially digital cameras and smart phones (Litovsky, n.d.). The image above is from
this collection which captures a group of three who appear to be taking a photo on a camera and an
individual on the right who is sitting along looking isolated. This image reflects social ideology which

This behaviour has become so common amongst todays younger generations that it is expected to take
a selfie with your friends as if it is a normal ritual that has been apart of society for centuries. It is also
anticipated that this group photo, selfie or any photo taken at an event will most likely then be
published on social media. Visual media such as photography, film, television or painting are all
mediums that are constructed in codes and signs which allows texts to be broken into different
elements through analysis, an artwork can be read as a text through these codes that we recognize and
comprehend, this also allows us to note the meaning of its construction. (Sturken Cartwright, 2009,
p.464). Visual media is often read like text through its code, signs and symbols which allows the text
to be read. This is also achieved through the denotative meaning of an image which is the face to face
meaning which is interpreting was is visually presented in front of you (Sturken Cartwright, 2009,

Comparing Judaism, Christianity, And Islam
Throughout the world there are many different religions. Each religion is special in their own way, and
all of them differ from each other. Among these religions are three major religions, which I am going
to compare and contrast in this essay. These religions are Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. These
religions are different and have separate beliefs, but are alike in many ways. The first religion I will
begin to talk about is Christianity. Christianity is a monotheistic religion that was founded by
followers of Jesus, who is believed to be the Messiah . This means savior of the world. Jesus was born
of a virgin mother; whom god had chosen to birth his only son. Jesus did many miracles and made

One such place, a series of islands about 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, became officially recognized as an Ecuadorian National Park in 1959, and later a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 (Galapagos Islands Geology Volcanoes, n.d.). None other than the Galapagos Islands themselves, the park is perhaps one of, if not the most captivating National Parks on the globe. The Ecuadorian archipelago sits entirely on the Nazca tectonic plate, a continental plate constantly subjected to volcanic and tectonic activity. While the plate endlessly drifts east southeast, it encounters the Galapagos hot spot, a source of intense and relentless volcanic activity in the ocean. According to White (1997), large columns of torrid rock approximately 100 kilometers in diameter, called mantle plumes, emerge from the mantle at a rate of an estimated ten centimeters per year. A peculiar interaction occurs with these plumes; once they rise from the lower asthenosphere to the upper lithosphere, the plumes actually melt by approximately twenty percent from the sheer force of pressure decompression rather than heat, as the lithosphere is cooler than the asthenosphere. This melting begins at roughly 150 kilometers in depth, and continues rising until the process is halted by reaching the lithosphere; the resulting magma rises into collections in and immediately beneath the lithosphere, named magma chambers. When the conditions are ideal, these chambers can release their magma onto the surface in an explosive attempt to equalize density and pressure, colloquially known as a volcanic eruption (White, 1997). Consecutive eruptions like these over hundreds of thousands of years cause the actual formation of a volcano; furthermore, over time, magma can crystallise in the magma chamber causing a thickening of the chamber, and thus an addition ... • 11. The Meaning Of The Word In English Literature During literature class, where we read narrative that goes from the middle ages to the present, I noted that in many writings, several words appeared constantly in different stories from different authors that nowadays, are less used or uncommon. Including bosom , alas , nay , gay . Where bosom was used to refer to the chest as the seat of emotions. Alas used an exclamation to express sorrow, grief, pity, or concern. These words were commonly used in the Middle English 1225 75. Nay is a denial or refusal that was substituted simply for no . However, the word that had an even more drastic change of its meaning was gay . This project analyzes and investigates how common this word was in the English narrative. A hypothesis will be created of the reasons why its meaning may have changed. An example of its use in literature will be presented through different periods of time with different authors. At the beginning, according to the Oxford dictionary and the website dictionary.com, gay evolved from given to or abounding in social or other pleasures; bright or show; having or showing a merry, lively mood. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first of these three, fixed rate mortgages, are arguably the simplest and easiest to understand. The idea of the fixed rate mortgage is simple, you are given a set interest rate for a set amount of time. The mortgage payment for a fixed rate mortgage is calculated at the time of mortgage origination and stays that rate for the life of the mortgage (minus tax and insurance fluctuations if included in the mortgage payment). The length of a fixed rate mortgage (as well as other mortgages) can vary widely, from 10 years all the way up to 40. According to the book Mortgage Confidential , a typical spread between a 30 year and a 15 year fixed rate is normally about ½ percent , meaning if you can find a 30 year rate at 7.00 percent, then a similarly priced 15 year mortgage at most places will be in the 6.50 percent range. (Reed, 2011, p.157). Adjustable rate mortgages, like fixed rate mortgages, have a set length, but do not have a fixed interest rate. Adjustable rate mortgages can be based on a variety of indexes and are set using an index and a margin. (Reed, 2011, p.149). Simply stated, the interest rate of adjustable rate mortgages fluctuates with the financial market. The interest rate of an adjustable rate mortgage will change depending on the type of mortgage. Ambition plays a major role in Shakespeare s tragedy of Macbeth, and is presented as a dangerous quality that principally influences the characters to do wrong. This play gives off a warning of how ambition can affect people and their actions by its influence on Macbeth and his wife, Lady Macbeth. This disastrous story begins with the witches predicting that Macbeth would become Thane of Cawdor and then King of Scotland. Hence, Macbeth s ambition emerges, furthermore persuaded by his wife and also the prophecies that he depended on so well. He murders King Duncan and others and accordingly becomes the new ruler of Scotland. These actions are ones based on the dangers of ambition, thus making it the fatal flaw that causes their downfall. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is similar to Macbeth s situation since his ambition would drive him to clear the obstacle of Duncan and thus become king. Macbeth gives into his dominating ambition and murders King Duncan. Hence, Macbeth becomes the King of Scotland. When Macbeth also realises that there were more obstacles in his path, he unhesitatingly commits more murder, and slays his best friend Banquo and Macduff s family, gaining his status of king for longer, or so he thought. This states that ambition can make you a heartless person so that you will do anything to attain your objective. Thus it is shown that the play Macbeth is a caution against the threats of ambition. Even after Macbeth s ambition leads to a fatal ending for those around him, he still wouldn t doubt the witches words. Macbeth shall never vanquish d be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him (Act 4, Sc. 1, Lines 91 93). This prediction that is made by the witches furthermore expands Macbeth s aspiration, making him believe that he is invincible. This way of thought causes his and his wife s downfall. This is seen since Lady Macbeth commits suicide from what ambition has done to her life, and Macbeth, being so trusting in the witches words, doesn t take anything other then his own ambition into account. • 21. Pros And Cons Of Net Neutrality Net Neutrality Regulation Pros As previously stated, net neutrality is a complex subject and it has many layers. One issue of major of concern is that of fast lanes and the establishment of net neutrality would prevent ISPs from forming these types of connections. Simplified, a fast lane is line of service that provides faster upload and download speeds. A fast lane would allow ISPs to charge companies such as Netflix, Skype, PlayStation Plus, and other streaming services for faster connections that would allow consumers to access the services easier and faster. Proponents of net neutrality worry that the extra expenses for fast lanes could become a formidable challenge for startups and small business owners. Large corporations typically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many neutrality proponents contend that failing to develop and enforce net neutrality will lead to the ability of ISPs to block access to content. Currently, there is a freedom of choice in that ISPs are unable to obstruct certain sites or contents over others but that hasn t always been the case. There have been several cases over the last few years where ISPs have moved to block internet content. Comcast is probably the best known culprit. In the early to mid 2000 s, Comcast monitored network traffic patterns and began blocking certain websites (Ammori, 2014). The sites that were targeted were those that are known as peer to peer. Peer to peer (P2P) sites utilize technology that allow users to share data without having a centralized server. There have been instances where illegal data has been shared but it would be impossible for an ISP to determine that simply from traffic patterns. Peer to peer sites are not the only ones that have been targeted. In 2005, an ISP in North Carolina moved to block traffic that allowed users to access Vonage, an application that allows users to make telephone calls via the internet. AT T had a contract with Apple that asked AT T to block all applications that offered video chat over a cellular network. Analysis Of Disabled And Out, Out Disabled by Wilfred Owen and Out, Out by Robert Frost are infamous for their powerful and impactful atmospheres and the ways in which they have creates them, some of the methods being shared and with some of the methods differing, which is what I intend to discuss in this essay. One way in which Disabled and Out, Out compare in the atmosphere is through their use of pity to evoke extreme emotions. Owen creates pity for the narrator through the strong contrast between his life before the war and after it.We can see that pathetic fallacy is used throughout when describing the post war society, with words such as dark , ghastly and solemn used to emphasise the narrator s internal feelings, which is evident by how the entire poem is essentially an internal monologue, which is often synonymous with internal darkness and a conflicting mind. Owen also uses the idea of isolation to create pity, by repeating phrases such as why don t they come to emphasise loneliness. Owen also refers to the narrator s lack of female attention as to evoke pity, especially when his disability is referred to as a queer disease . Frost also uses pity to evoke emotion throughout his poem. We can see this clearly when he writes Call it a day, I wish they might have said. This short sentence is foreboding and creates a sense that the latter lines will evoke pity and suffering upon the boy. The tragedy of the situation also evokes pity, especially as his condition rapidly worsens, with him ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It can be consciously developed as the professional, teacher/coach and student within education is exposed to a practice as well as other life experiences. It is believed that clearly articulating one s philosophy is a prerequisite to good practice (Cassidy et al, 2008, p.55) throughout this essay I hope to reflect on my increasing knowledge foundation in teaching and coaching and how it has successfully developed and been applied to my philosophy as a coach. The practice of health care can be divided into two models in which a health professional may approach their patient. This includes the medical model, where the patient is only viewed as a syndrome, or the host of a disease, or the biopsychosocial model (BPS), which was developed by George L. Engel in 1977.1 The BPS model appreciates the person as a whole, having psychological and socio economic impacts on their health and adherence, as well as the ailment they may or may not be suffering from at any point in time.1 In the case of LH, where it is clear her health and wellbeing is being affected by her lifestyle, it would be more appropriate to approach the situation with the empathetic biopsychosocial model. The health professional is then able to understand LH s health and wellbeing by linking it to her social setting, namely her stress relatedly to her role as a single mother unstable living conditions. They can also appreciate her unwillingness to quit smoking if they connect it to the stress in her life. Understanding how LH s unemployment, homelessness and parenthood affects her ability to adopt good health care, can assist health professionals in developing an individualised health care plan for LH. The Denfenstration of Prague is the initial event that instigated the tension because it was a rebellion. People became angry and fought for what they thought was right. Frederick and Ferdinand began to raise their own armies by asking for help from other European countries. Ferdinand received assistance from Maximilian of Bavaria. Thucydides retelling of the Peloponnesian War is considered a secular text mainly due to the fact that the work was one of the first of its time period to not put any emphasis on the Gods. Many believe that the work s lack of religious referencing is what makes it secular; however, under further examination, the reason the text does not discuss Gods could be due to the overall topic and theme of the book. Since Thucydides is based primarily on the history of the Peloponnesian War, the lack of referencing to the Gods may have been unintentional on Thucydides part. Each religion has its own unique viewpoint on how the world came to be. The Cherokee myth I have chosen is something that may seem outrageous to the outsider, but it is how the Cherokee Indians have viewed their creation for many years. The Cherokee believed that before their world as they know it began, it was just water. All the animals lived in a land called Galun lati that was above the water (in the sky), but it was overcrowded. A water beetle, named Dayuni si, volunteered to explore the water beneath them. Dayuni si was unable to find solid ground on the surface of the water, but dove below the surface and only found mud. The beetle brought the mud to the water s surface and it began to grow and spread out. This mud became the Earth, as the Cherokee Indians knew it. Later the Earth was tied to the sky with a string at each of the corners ( Native American Myths of Creation ). The Earth was too wet so the animals sent the Great Buzzard from Galun lati and told him to go and make it ready for them. He flew all around the land, but it was still soft. By the time he had traveled to Cherokee country, he was tired as his wings flapped the ground, they created mountains and valleys.
