Theory Application Through the course of taking field notes for twenty four hours I interacted with
over fifty people. In these interactions, my most important relationships were represented as well as

1. How strong are the competitive forces confronting Deere in the global market for agricultural and
construction equipment? Do a five forces analysis and identify the key driving forces and key success
factors to support your answer. Deere does not have any strong competitive forces that are confronting
them. Buyers. As of 2013 Deere has 34% share of the exports of agricultural equipment. Buyers tend
to go with a known brand name. Deere has been around 1837 and have been known for their excellent
quality farm equipment. Since the buyers are a small group of farmers, government and big
corporations, the buyers cannot influence the prices of the equipment. Deere is known for not
repossessing farm equipment when there is a down turn, like the depression. This does instill the
brand into the buyers. They established operations in strategic countries to keep the prices down and
have product ready when it is needed. Suppliers. They have many strategic manufacturing plants all
over the globe. They have plants that build the equipment that is the best fit for that particular country.
This also, creates a supply chain designated for each location. This eliminates issues of getting the
parts to the location on a timely basis. Being a large manufacturing company each location is able to
get the supplies it needs through a contract. This is where they work on getting the best price

The word equality has always been intended to have the same meaning, the state of being equivalent,
especially in status, rights, and opportunities. Another important fact to note is that at any given point
in history, all people have wanted their own form of equality, and the constant changing of what is
right or wrong has led to a fluid definition of this unique word. The definition of equality therefore is
never really correct, no matter how I it write down, so I will try to most accurately define how it is,
has been, and will continue to change. This constant mutation of a word is not at all about things being
equal, but rather purely used as a synonym to make people happy, whether that be for virtue or
iniquity. The purest example of an immoral sense of equality is the ancient tradition of slavery, a topic
still somewhat controversial and taboo to talk about today. Using the 18th century as a reference point
in the vast history of slavery, no one was completely sure what equality meant in terms of people s
lives. People did not want to believe something so common could be so morally inapt. Before this
time, slavery meant that the slaves were not equal to a free person. Relatively shortly after this time,
slavery was an abomination. Nothing major happened, there were no mass rebellions or large scale
demonstrations of atrocity that shocked the nation into passing the thirteenth amendment overnight.
What changed slowly over many decades were people s opinions.
