Introduction
Antenna is defined as “a usually metallic device (as a
rod or wire) for radiating or receiving radio waves.” But as
for IEEE standard definitions of terms for antenna or aerial
as “a mean for radiating or receiving radio waves.”
 Regardless of antenna type, all
involve the same basic
principle that radiation is
produced by accelerated (or
de-accelerated) charges.

A Modified Sierpinski Carpet Antenna
In general Micro strip antennas are also known as “ PRINTED
ANTENNAS”
In this paper we have proposed the modified design of SIERPINSKI
CARPET for various purposes in Radar and Satellite applications.
The CARPET is designed using Flame Retardant (FR4) substrate with
thickness of 1.6 and dielectric constant 4.6 is used for design and
fabrication purpose.
High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) is used for design purpose
of modified Sierpinski Carpet.
The simulated frequencies are 2.5GHZ , 5.8GHZ , 6.2GHZ and 7.4GHZ
resulting in multiband operation.

to fabricate and comfortable
on curved surface .
 The directivity is fairly
insensitive to the substrate
thickness.

Conclusion
The Sierpinski carpet has found many applications
because of its compact size and unique recursive
design.
It can be used as mobiles antennas due to its compact
size and multiband frequency of operation.
This carpet is easy to design and fabricate.
On the other hand, increasing the number of rectangles
inside the carpet may result in reduction of frequency
bands.

Introduction Antenna is defined as “a usually metallic device (as a rod or wire) for radiating or receiving radio waves.” But as for IEEE standard definitions of terms for antenna or aerial as “a mean for radiating or receiving radio waves.”  Regardless of antenna type, all involve the same basic principle that radiation is produced by accelerated (or de-accelerated) charges.

A Modified Sierpinski Carpet Antenna In general Micro strip antennas are also known as “ PRINTED ANTENNAS” In this paper we have proposed the modified design of SIERPINSKI CARPET for various purposes in Radar and Satellite applications. The CARPET is designed using Flame Retardant (FR4) substrate with thickness of 1.6 and dielectric constant 4.6 is used for design and fabrication purpose. High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) is used for design purpose of modified Sierpinski Carpet. The simulated frequencies are 2.5GHZ , 5.8GHZ , 6.2GHZ and 7.4GHZ resulting in multiband operation.
  • 7.  Modified Sierpinski Carpet micro strip antennas are easy to fabricate and comfortable on curved surface .  The directivity is fairly insensitive to the substrate thickness.  Micro strip patch antennas patches are in variety of shapes ,such as rectangular , square, triangular and circulator

Conclusion The Sierpinski carpet has found many applications because of its compact size and unique recursive design. It can be used as mobiles antennas due to its compact size and multiband frequency of operation. This carpet is easy to design and fabricate. On the other hand, increasing the number of rectangles inside the carpet may result in reduction of frequency bands.
