The History of the Illuminati Essays
The word Illuminati has been used a lot by historians in the past one thousand year to name secretive
groups that existed and operated during the past few centuries. One of the more important secretive
groups and the most famous Illuminati Illuminati was a term first used by Spanish occultists toward
the end of the fifteenth century to signify those alchemists and magicians who appeared to possess the
light of spiritual illumination from a higher source. The Spanish referred to these alchemists and
magicians as antichrists. An antichrist is a great personal opponent of Christ who will spread evil
throughout the world before being conquered at Christ s Second Coming. Amongst these anti Christ
individuals, sood their leader Adam ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are two different types of illuminati; one that is historical and another that people view as a
legend or conspiracy. Today, many people have forgotten about the historical meaning. They now
associate the term with rappers, basketball stars, and other successful celebrities. According to the

These same people are the ones who believe that everything is rigged. From presidential elections to
basketball championship. These thirteen families that make up the illuminati, interbreed to assure that

The Effects Of Discrimination On International Students
The Effect of Discrimination on International Students
According to Institute of International Education organization, The United States hosts more of the
world s 4.5 million globally mobile college and university students than any other country in the
world, almost double the number hosted by the United Kingdom, the second leading host country .
Hosting millions of international students who were in The United States in 2015. However,
international students faced many challenges when they arrive in The U.S., such as language, culture,
and unequal treatment due to as racism. Because international students faced discrimination, that has a
negative effect on their psychological.
In the United States universities, Asian international students faced discrimination by the policy of
universities. In some American university, international students treated differently than American
students. According to Rhonda Sutton of North Carolina State University mentioned in his article that
at NC State University international student worked more hours than an American student for the
same pay. Another problem was NC State university housing do not consider that international
students cannot offer hotel room or go back to their countries or have someone off campus to stay with
him when they close residence halls. This shows there is some university do not have rule include the
international students as part of their society. Also, international students have complained about the

Manhattan Project Impact
The great achievement or a great loss
The use of the atomic bomb, with its indiscriminate killing of women and children, revolts my soul.
This was Herbert Hover s response to the letter he wrote to the publisher, Colonel John Callan O
Laughlin, of the Army and Navy Journal. The term Manhattan Project came about between 1942 and
1946 during World War II as the atomic research began in the race to construct the first atomic bomb.
Even though the atomic bomb created caused there to be a great turning point in the World War II
favoring the Allies and especially the United States by facilitating the war to an end, there are many
who despise the use of the atomic bomb due to its copious negative impacts on the lives of many
innocents. It was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

There were also the concerns of the danger in joining the arms race along with the international

seen to be concerned about the cavalier belief [5] where after the World War II, America will still hold
dominance in the atomic bomb area. There was the planning of the memorandum [6], which disabused
the higher ranking officials that such a theory existed. From all these concerns laid out on the table, on

Underachievement Among College Students
High achieving students have always been considered the creme of the crop and to be fully prepared
for college. However, studies, like the one that took place at Queen Mary College, have shown that
this is not always correct. In Underachievement Among College Students Megan Balduf discusses
how high achieving students struggle in college because they never had to try in highschool, and thus
did not develop the necessary skills like: time management, ability to adjust to independent life, and
good studying skills, skills that are essential for success. This study is important because it looks first
hand at what is causing gifted underachievers to not meet their potential and it also focuses on a group
that is often left out from gifted underachievement studies: college students. Underachievement is a
colossal issue because it is attributed to students not receiving the assistance and having the
motivation they require to succeed. Two of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the courses were not extensively challenging the students failed to develop the skills needed to
prosper in college. To assist with the transition from High school to college researchers suggested that
colleges provide gifted underachievers with counseling and/or skills courses to help them learn how to
motivate themselves to work when grades don t come easily. In conclusion, the research team suggests
that studies be carried out at other universities on gifted underachievers to help determine what can be
done to help these students become more successful. Then, a study should taken of High school
students to see how they feel about their academic success thus far and also how they feel about the
rigors of classes, their current studying skills, engagement to tasks, and time

The Narrative Voice in the Lovely Bones
In the novel The Lovely Bones (TLB) by Alice Sebold, the narrative voice is the key technique that
hooks the reader and compels him or her to turn over the page. While the author uses a number of
other literary techniques to draw the reader in, it is the narrator s voice that is this novel s most
interesting and appealing feature. The narrative voice in this novel is unique to other novels because
the narrator is a girl named Susie Salmon who is speaking from heaven. This is a distinctive point in
the novel because it gives us the story from the perspective from others and we experience themes in
the book that we never experienced before.
Firstly the narrator of the book TLB is a teenaged girl named Susie Salmon who has been raped at
murdered by a man named Mr. Harvey. Susie lived in a small American town and was killed in a
cornfield at the age of 14. We know that she is talking from the after life because she tells us from the
first page I was fourteen when I was murdered on December 6, 1973 . She then starts to narrate the
novel from the afterlife. This perspective allows us this point of view to experience the narrator and
the people she is connected with in a way we have never touched upon before. Susie can tell the mood
of a person, what he/she is thinking at the time, what they are going to do next and it s because of the
way she can interpret the emotions of other people that makes the narrative voice of this novel it s
unique selling point

Internal and External Factors Paper The purpose of this paper is to explain how internal and external
factors affect the four functions of management in the Wal Mart Corporation. For any organization to
survive, irrespective of its size, it must develop and implement its own management concept.
Management is the process of working with people and resources to accomplish organizational goals
(Bateman amp; Snell, 2011). The four traditional functions of management include planning,
organizing, leading, and controlling. The Wal Mart Corporation has managed to use the internal and

The program s vision was redefined in 2002 to meet public image issues, becoming the statement
sourcing ethically through a socially responsible program ( Ethical Standards Program , 2006). The
program works to train perspective suppliers in environmental, health, safety, and labor requirements
to meet audit standards. Factories and companies on Wal Mart s supplier list are subject to
unannounced audits to ensure they are meeting the standards set by the Ethic Committee. Through
these organization and control measures, Wal Mart has made great strides in correcting some of the
worst conditions in many of the Asian countries they use as their suppliers. According to the Ethical
Standards Program (2006) website the company also began the Factory Five Program in 2006. The
program serves as a forum in which factory management (from five factories per region in China)
regularly meet with suppliers and the Ethical Standards team. Time is spent identifying and resolving
complex issues of noncompliance identified by audits. They hope to share knowledge and changes
that come out of this forum with others in the industry. Wal Mart is working hard to show leadership
in the ethics market and to pass knowledge and training onto others to encourage ethical practices in
all their stakeholder s corporations. The ultimate

Passover The Prince Of Egypt
Hollywood is known for creating its classic movies that are cherished long after they were released.
Some of the greatest movies of all time are animated, one of them being The Prince of Egypt. This
time honoured film was based upon the true story of the Jewish ancestors in Sefer Shemot. To some
extent the movie was spot on but, there were a handful of differences between the movie and the
history. The addition of character traits, songs, and events, reshaped the story of Passover and made
the movie a success. The first observation noted is the addition of character traits. For example, the
brotherly bond between Moshe and Ramses. In both the movie and the history, Moshe was raised in
the Egyptian palace. But in Shemot, Ramses is not a character. ... Show more content on

Hollywood attempts to adapt all of the original story without boring or offending the audience. To do
so, Hollywood removed and added scenes to the film. The first example is when Moshe and Ramses
are chariot racing throughout the palace. Things get out of hand and they end up destroying a large
and an important statue. Their father Pharaoh gets very cross with them and punishes them for their
actions. This scene does not appear in Shemot but Hollywood adds this scene to represent the brother
s fun personalities and what it is like growing up in the Egyptian palace. A second time this is seen is
the ceremony held for the new prince of Egypt, Ramses. Moshe also receives a new title, the Royal
Chief Architect. As a gift from the magicians, they give Ramses captivity of Sephora. Ramses declines
and gives her to Moshe. He embarrasses her in front of all the citizens of Egypt by making her fall into
the fountain. Again, none of this happens in history and Sephora is only introduced when Moshe saves
her at the well, which does happen in the movie. ‫ב‬ ‫פרק‬ ‫צאנם‬ ‫וישקאת‬ ‫ויושען‬ ‫משה‬ ‫ויקם‬ ‫ויגרשום‬ ‫הרעים‬ ‫ויבאו‬.
Hollywood does this to show maturity and character growth for Moshe and showing the viewers that
Sephora is a strong female lead. The third example is not an addition but an important scene in history
that was cut from the film. In Sefer Shemot, before exiting Egypt the Jews baked unleavened bread

Troposphere Refraction Lab
The Troposphere has atoms and molecules which affect the radio waves between the satellite and the
receiver. Due to the amount of gas present in this area group velocity decreases and the Zenith angle
contributes to the troposphere refraction. The lower the zenith angle the more affected is the
tropospheric refraction. Ionosphere and Troposphere has an influence on pseudo range and Carrier
phase measurement because of electrons present in this region that obstruct the signal waves from the
rover to the satellite, (Parker, 2003). Virtual Reference system with the GPSNET software is able to

An Interview With A Counselor Essay
Introduction Counseling is defined as the use of therapeutic strategies to help clients address personal
concerns and mental health issues (Nystul, 2016). Pursuing counseling as a career involves many
years of formal study and certification or licensure. After receiving licensure to practice as a
professional counselors it is a requirement to maintain involvement and certification in certain
associations in order to hold your license. These association often require further education and/or
professional practice in order to maintain membership in these associations. It is quite obvious that
counseling requires a large amount of commitment and passion in order to pursue it as a career and
maintain a title as a counselor. I have conducted an interview with a professional counselor in order to
further understand the experience of being a counselor. The interview that I conducted explores the
requirements of maintaining and receiving a counselling career, the experience of being a counselor,
and what characteristics or skills a professional may have. The Individual who agreed to the interview
was a counselor by the name of Susie Facio. Susie Facio, through this interview, will be giving us a

what qualities and skills she has acquired in order to become a successful counselor.

The Angel Of Death By Alane Ferguson
The Angel of Death Reaction The book The Angel of Death by Alane Ferguson is an intense and
gripping story due to its mystery and action in the book. The book is mainly about a mysterious death
surrounding the main character s favorite teacher with no leads or cause of death. The book keeps you
engaged by adding things that you least expect about the case as the book goes on. Some positives or
likes I had while reading are as follows below. One like I had about the book was the description of
the murder. The eye sockets were empty. (pg. 43) This helps you envision the body, how they found it
in the book. Another like I had with the book is, She bought a car, Cam. She s left New York. (pg.73)
The aspect of her long lost mother rushing to see her the entire story adds more suspense. The last
thing I enjoyed about the book is, Kyle s hand reached in front of her and snapping it shut with a small
click. (pg.232). I like the end how Kyle is the killer, a twist I think no one expected. ... Show more

One dislike I had with the book was some of the romance that lasted too long on page 128. It was also
mostly awkward the whole time, like when Kyle said weird stuff like, Your hand is so small. and other
eccentric actions. Another dislike I had was the ending itself. It was extremely predictable that
Cammie s mom would save her in the end. The last thing I disliked in the book was the character of
the deputy in the book, Kill two birds with one stone. You can be the birds, she murmured wanting
him to fly away. I m the stone. He was just there in the book and just gets denied by Cammie and

Western Dialysis
Executive Summary Western Dialysis Clinic is an independent, non profit full service rental dialysis
clinic. The clinic currently provides two types of treatments, which include Hemodialysis (HD) and
Peritoneal (PD). The existing system used by Western Dialysis Clinic is the traditional ratio of cost to
charges (RCC) method. Under this system the traceable supply costs are assigned directly to the two
types of treatment. And also currently both the treatments seem profitable. Due to this David Thomas,

As it can be seen this traditional system shows both the procedures to be profitable for the clinic. But
there were several concerns regarding this procedure as projected by the controller of the clinic, since
the traditional system may not be assigning the common expenses to accurately represent the
underlying use of the common resources used by HD and PD. Therefore there is a need shown by the
controller to explore the activity based costing system to understand the costs netter, which can more
accurately calculate the profitability of the two procedures in order to assist the managers to make
more informed decisions. This has been performed in the following breakdown where the general
overhead category, nursing services and equipment costs have been the focus of the analysis, to obtain
a better understanding of the costs at Western Dialysis Clinic. Phase I General Overhead Category The
initial analysis consists of focusing on the general overhead category. For the nursing and the
equipment costs, the allocation is 85% towards HD and 15% towards PD based on staff s experience
rather than using the traditional RCC method. (For detailed analysis please refer to exhibit 3). In this
phase the General Overhead category is divided into four resource cost pools. The four cost pools

Through Deaf Eyes Movie Essay
Through Deaf Eyes To be deaf is to be a part of a tiny minority in a hearing world, but it is far from
the uniform and tragic experience that most hearing people imagine . After watching the film Through
the Deaf Eyes I learned several things about the deaf culture, community, and history. Some
interesting facts that I picked up where that over 90% of deaf people have hearing parents, and a
majority of deaf parents have hearing children. Quoted by an individual in a film Deafness doesn t

Workplace Diversity Essay
Corporate America is seeing a shift in workforce demographics, with the terms workplace diversity
being thrown around in meetings across many large organizations. There are many definitions and
interpretations of workplace diversity, but the this paper will define workplace diversity as an
environment that maximizes the potential of all employees by not discriminating against age,
ethnicity, gender, physical abilities/qualities, race, sexual orientation, educational background,
geographic location, income, marital or partner status, military experience, parental status, religious
beliefs, work experience or job classification (Futon). Managers of this era have to work alongside
individuals who not only come from different ages and educational backgrounds, but also individuals
who are of different origins and have roots in many parts of the world. Organizational leaders are
convinced that diversity efforts need to be an organization wide effort in order for it to succeed
(Roosevelt 23). The reality is that the American workforce is changing very rapidly and steps have to
be taken to adapt to this new environment. This paper will focus on (1) the growing importance of
workplace diversity, (2) the benefits associated with having a diversified work environment, (3)
methods of increasing workplace diversity and (4) effective strategies for managing a diverse
workforce.

Although superhero movies have become some of the most popular and successful movie instalments
of the 21st century most of these movies have been about men and focused on their trials and triumphs
while also creating and perpetrating negative stereotypes of women. The female superhero movie falls

World War I was a global war that was centered in Europe and started on July 28, 1914 and continued

Good Versus Evil In Ray Bradbury s Something Wicked This...
Emma Begley Wilson Pre Ap Ela 09 October 2017 Something Wicked This Way Comes Have you
ever had a feeling someone or something is coming well in the novel Something Wicked This Way
Comes by Ray Bradbury this is what happens. In a little town called Green Town, Illinois two boys get
approached by a man holding a stick and the boys get persuaded about this stick. The man tells them
that it keeps lightening away and one boy falls for it while the one does not. As the story progresses
the theme Good versus Evil really becomes apparent to the reader. This is supported by the title, the
time, and the characters. The theme of this text is good versus evil. This novel has many different
components to support the theme. The title of the novel even supports this theme because it is
implying that something evil is coming and the good in the world is going to be attacked. As the story
develops the characters and the setting helps develop the theme. The Freaks and its carnival really
help you get the idea that evil is not really a feeling or action but more of a figure or form because the
carnival is all evil. He wanted to be near and not near them, he saw them close, he saw them far.

An Air Of Superiority And Indifference
A rather snobby looking man entered the large, bustling banquet room with his nose in the air.
Maintaining an air of superiority and indifference, he had hoped to avoid the attention of others as he
made his way to his seat at the great banquet table. As he sat in his seat, the ruby pendant that hung
low from his long neck clinked against his assortment of golden necklaces. Narrowing his eyes, he
carefully scanned the crowd of other attendees and adjusted his fur laced maroon cloak. These oafs
had better get on with it, he thought to himself. Important men and women were making a commotion
in the busy banquet room. Large buffoons argued over inane theories, purple faced and clearly already
drunk; Snotty women gossiped cattily over rumors ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That s the Thane s wife, you sacks! Do you want your ugly heads to end up on platters? spoke a third
man, promptly halting their foolish tongues. Understanding now that the anxious man was the new
Thane and that the woman to his side was his Lady, he began to devise his plan to charm the new
nobility. The Thane cleared his throat and spoke flatly, You know your own degrees; sit down. At first
and last, the hearty welcome. He seemed as though he had attempted to sound welcoming, but his tone
was nothing short of distracted. As the Lords and Lady settled themselves at the banquet table, the
man watched the Thane with increasing scrutiny. The Thane s unruly hair was banded by a small
crown, seemingly desperate to escape its grasp. His eyes here gray and sullen the eyes of a restless
man. His facial hair was nearly as unkempt as the hair on his head, and his clothes, while undoubtedly
costly, draped awkwardly from the Thane like tattered sheets. The man with the ruby pendant noticed
the hurried nature of the Thane, and watched as he paced the room, haphazardly greeting guests.
Oddly, his eyes darted to the doorway of the banquet hall nervously, as though he was expecting some
horribly unpleasant guest to come bursting into the hall without invitation. In spite of the commotion
that preceded the banquet, the air in the hall was oddly sterile. One of the drunk men had passed out,
the women had little left

Unit 1 Assignment 1 Case Studies Of Endearment
Endearment, something that endears: an action or utterance showing affection and to makes dear,
esteemed, or beloved. These terms all have a positive connotation and are seen in an affectionate view
when used in any setting. In comparison, the n word is defined as a contemptuous term used to refer to
a person of any racial or ethnic origin regarded as contemptible, inferior, ignorant, etc. and a victim of
prejudice similar to that suffered by blacks; a person who is economical, politically, or socially
disenfranchised. These two words are in no way viewed, in the literary sense, on the same end of the
spectrum yet in this particular article those involved see them as interchangeable. The feelings and
emotions that accompany this term are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I would establish a discussion forum that addressed both this particular racial slur and others in the
classroom setting. I would first gather resources and research relating to specific race relations and
racial slurs in the environment and the challenges that have been presented. Secondly, I would request
assistance in establishing a board/forum of students, teachers, administrators, and parents who would
be willing to discuss this issues collectively with positive results being the ultimate goal. I would
utilize this forum on a regular basis and not just during periods of tension. Keeping communication
open about these types of situations takes some of the apprehension and anger out of them when they
present themselves in our everyday lives. My rationale in this is that the challenges that face society
today are hindered by silence. When a person or group feels that they do not have a voice, it hinders
their ability to participate actively and productively in these types

The History Of The Irs
The History of the IRS
The IRS has a long history of enforcing various form of taxes and a variety of regulation in the United
States of America. In fact, federal agencies such as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms
began as part of the IRS before separation onto its own agency. Below is a brief timeline of the origins
of the IRS and subsequent events that transformed it into the agency it is today:

The measure created a Commissioner of Internal Revenue and the nation s first income tax (Internal
Revenue Service, 2013).
1913 Wyoming ratified the 16th Amendment, providing the three quarter majority of states necessary
to amend the Constitution. The 16th Amendment gave Congress the authority to enact an income tax
(Internal Revenue Service, 2013).
1919 The states ratified the 18th Amendment, barring the manufacture, sale or transport of
intoxicating beverages. Congress passed the Volstead Act, which gave the Commissioner of Internal
Revenue the primary responsibility for enforcement of Prohibition (Internal Revenue Service, 2013)
1944 Congress passed the Individual Income Tax Act, which created the standard deductions on Form
1040 (Internal Revenue Service, 2013).

Ancient Greek Philosophy -Paper
Lovers of Wisdom
Ancient Greek philosophy arouse in the 6th century BCE, some claim that Greek
Philosophy was influenced by the older wisdom literature and mythological cosmogonies of the
Ancient Greek Near East. Greeks had confidence in the power of the mind Greeks used observation
and reason to determine why things happened, they opened up a new way of looking at human
existence. During the time of Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle it was a crime to investigate the things
above the heavens and below the Earth. Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle were well known philosophers.

Plato like Socrates believed that reason not the experience of the sense led to genuine knowledge. He
also believed in the quality of all people at birth. Plato believed that though the body dies and
disintegrates; the soul continues to live forever. After the death of the body, the soul migrates to what
Plato called the realm of the pure forms. It exists without a body, contemplating the forms. Plato
thought that only the soul could perceive the ideal forms. He believed when the body and the soul
combine, the body obstructs the soul s ability to recall the ideal forms. He maintained that he could
ride only a high in society as their abilities allow. His society was divided into three: workers to
produce the necessities of life, soldiers to defend the state and philosophers to rule. There is no direct
information of how Plato s came to death. There are three stories of how he died one is Plato died in
his bed. Another is Plato died at a wedding feast the last one suggest Plato died in his sleep.
Aristotle was Plato s student from the Academy. He later developed his own ideas about government
Aristotle analyzes form of government such as monarchy and democracy. Just as
Plato he preferred government by the many then the few. He then favored a constitutional government
by members of the middle class. He called it the polity . A constitution is a set of laws that a set of

Movie Review of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington : Review Frank Capra, a renowned Hollywood director, directed Mr.
Smith Goes to Washington, which was released in 1939. The film stars Jean Arthur and James
(Jimmy) Stewart in the principal roles. James Stewart plays the title role of Mr. Smith as Jefferson
Smith, a man chosen to take assume the role of senator after US Senator Sam Foley dies. Governor
Hubert Happy Hopper selects Jefferson Smith to fill this role, pressure from his corrupt pseudo mob
boss to choose one of his goons notwithstanding. The narrative is the story of an ordinary, every man
who is swept up in the fervor of the political process and power in Washington D.C. Though a humble
and genuine man, Jefferson Smith is chastised and ridiculed by his enemies and sometimes the public
for his lack of urban sophistication. The film exemplifies the experience of a man, who thrown into a
situation largely beyond his control, struggles to maintain his personal integrity and succeed
professionally. James Stewart is a Hollywood legend and many of the roles he has played are iconic
for the time when they were current as well as iconic for that genre of film. It s a Wonderful Life is a
symbol of American Christmas. Stewart had lead roles in several films directed by the incredibly
famous Alfred Hitchcock such as Vertigo, Rear Window, The Man who Knew Too Much. Thus, it was

There were six original agencies that combined together to create what is recognized today as FEMA.
FEMA is in charge of coordinating and managing relief efforts for large, and/or lesser scale disaster
efforts. When FEMA is notified into action, it sets in motion a wide range of entities that collaborate
together to provide assistance. Roughly, a few types of assistants that are set into motion would
include financial and physical support.
When FEMA is called into action, they utilize a specific system called the National Incident
Management System or NIMS. The National Incident Management System is designed as a
systematic way of coordination between the public and private sectors to manage response efforts for
several types of incidents to aid in preventing loss of life and damage. It is also designed as a standard,
cooperate tool used for managing incidents. The concepts contained herein provide for a flexible but
standardized set of incident management practices with emphasis on common principles, a consistent
approach to operational structures and supporting mechanisms, and an integrated approach to resource
management (Department of Homeland Security, 2015). The NIMS has several functions that work in

period, William Shakespeare began his remarkable career as a playwright changing/impacting blank.
William Shakespeare s life and work transcends time because of their relative relatability.
William Shakespeare s childhood was privileged in some ways. In William Shakespeare; Life of
Drama, a documentary produced by by Rod Caird, Shakespeare was christened on April 26th in the
year 1564. According to the website Shakespeare of Stratford published by Mabillard, Shakespeare
was enrolled in school at either six or seven years of age. In the article, William Shakespeare
Published by Gale, Shakespeare was born in and lived during the Elizabethan age. Shakespeare was
inspired by attending an annual festival as a young child (Caird). Shakespeare learned to speak Latin
and English when he was in school (Mabillard). Shakespeare s grandparents owned land, a status
symbol in that time (Gale 1). Shakespeare s family was of relatively high status, which granted him
the opportunity to attend school (Caird). Shakespeare had to leave school as a teenager because of his
familial issues (Mabillard). Shakespeare was well off and well educated in his adolescence.

Why Did Ancient Astronomers Study
Star Spotters by David Jefferis 8 202
Question: How did ancient astronomers study the sky?
Answer: These people used their eyes to look at the stars, moon, and sun. They also used an astrolabe
which could pinpoint and predict the moon, stars, planets, and sun s location. This information helped
them know when to plant their crops.
Question: What positive things does the sun do for us?
Answer: Life on Earth wouldn t be possible without the sun. It gives us light and warmth. Also, by
studying the sun, we can predict weather forecasts. These aided farmers in knowing when they should
plant and harvest their crops. The sun s energy also helps power many electrical appliances on Earth
and in space.

Raising Driving Age
Teens have been a part of many accidents. They have caused many people to die. Would it be better to
raise the age or let them get a licensed to be able to drive?
Raising the age should help teens not commit car accidents. In 1995 through 2004 there was 30,917
fatalities in accidents involved 15 to 17 year olds, according to a study by the AAA Foundation for
Traffic Safety. A third of those fatalities were teens themselves. The others were pedestrians,
passengers, and people in cars that got hit. Raising the driving age may seem burdensome to parents
and teens.
Some say raising the driving ages won t save lives. Supporters of GDLs (graduated driver s licenses)
say the GDL system saves lives. Opponents of GDLs say that GDLs make it

Disadvantages Of Using Marijuana
There are many advantages of using soil for growing marijuana. It is a natural medium, and therefore
most growers already have the experience of using it to grow other plants, such as tomatoes. Growing
in the soil is a natural option for most people, especially if they are used to gardening where soil is
used extensively.
Irrigation is also easier to perform in the soil, because it can tolerate novice mistakes. It can be
difficult to correct a wrong water dose when using other hydroponic systems. It is also easy to perform
the right fertilization, as help is easily available for using the soil medium.
Another advantage is that the use of slightly different soil mixtures has the ability to alter the taste of
the cannabis, therefore creating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Different environments and soils have their particular characteristics, which makes it nearly
impossible to follow a pattern. Water is essential for moving the necessary nutrients through the roots
of the plant to where they are required for forming the flowers.
Environment is a key element for water, because hot environments may require more water while the
cool environments call for using less water. Water is also essential for cooling the plant through the
process of transpiration.
More importantly, water is required by the plants to carry out photosynthesis. As a general rule, your
soil should feel moist to the touch, but should not water your fingers. The presence of excess water is
often a recipe for attracting fungi and other plant attackers.
Plant containers should be selected for providing the right amount of breathing for the plant, which
makes fabric pots the most ideal container. You can also use pots that contain drainage holes and
saucer plates in order to catch the draining water.
You should always ensure that drainage is possible, as otherwise, the pH of the stagnant water will
change, causing a nutrient deficiency. Sitting water often attracts the buildup of molds, and bugs can
also come to attack the

The Issue Of Rising College Tuition Essay
Throughout this project, I found that working through the Standard Agenda to solve a problem was an
effective way for a group to decide upon a solution. Even though our group was unexperienced using
the Standard Agenda, we were able to use each other s strengths to improve the quality of our
discussion about the issue of rising college tuition. Looking back to previous projects, I can see how
our group has grown to better understand the methods of effective group work. While there were both
beneficial and impeding forces at work in the task and social processes, I feel that overall our group
had a successful problem solving discussion. I believe that our group did a good job for the most part
on following the Standard Agenda. We were able to complete steps three through six in roughly fifty
one minutes. I feel that we did some portions of the Standard Agenda well but faltered on other
sections. For example, I believe that we should have done a better job with consciously considering
solution criteria as a group. At one point in the conversation (throughout 16:00 to 17:00), I did not
know that the solution criteria had been listed on the whiteboard because we had not clearly defined
that we were discussing it as a group. I ended up interrupting the solution generation phase because I
felt the criteria needed more attention (around 17:49), even though we had naturally explored it for a
short period of time (13:17 14:25). I feel that the solution criteria step is vital to any

Nazy Atrocities in the Movie Defiance
Defiance is not a typical holocaust movie, although there are scenes of Nazi atrocities, the story is
more about those Jews who escaped the German camps and fought back for their freedom. It is based
on a true story of the Bielski brothers, they led thousands of Jews to hide from the Germans in the
forests of Nazi occupied Belarus, and they managed to keep them alive for several years. This movie
is historically very accurate except for minor issues that happened in the movie. The Bielski brothers
were actually aggressive with each other to show power over the rescued Jews, but what was not
accurate that the film suggests Asael was much younger than the other two, he was actually only two
years younger than Tuvia, while Zus was four years younger. In the film, Tuvia kills one of the police
officers that killed his parents which was true but he did not go into emotional distress because of it,
he was sending a message that who would kill Jewish people will be killed too and the fact he killed
many others before this officer it did not matter to him. What was also accurate, in Eastern Europe, the
Nazis didn t immediately send Jews to concentration camps, instead, they created walls around each
city, where Jews were forced to work as slaves, and kept in terror by frequent executions. Until the
walls were destroyed, the Bielskis had many plans to rescue the Jews and guide them to their camp in
the forest. It was daring from the brothers as they had a heave price for

The History of the Illuminati Essays The word Illuminati has been used a lot by historians in the past one thousand year to name secretive groups that existed and operated during the past few centuries. This was Herbert Hover s response to the letter he wrote to the publisher, Colonel John Callan O Laughlin, of the Army and Navy Journal. The term Manhattan Project came about between 1942 and 1946 during World War II as the atomic research began in the race to construct the first atomic bomb. Even though the atomic bomb created caused there to be a great turning point in the World War II favoring the Allies and especially the United States by facilitating the war to an end, there are many who despise the use of the atomic bomb due to its copious negative impacts on the lives of many innocents. • 5. Underachievement Among College Students High achieving students have always been considered the creme of the crop and to be fully prepared for college. However, studies, like the one that took place at Queen Mary College, have shown that this is not always correct. In Underachievement Among College Students Megan Balduf discusses how high achieving students struggle in college because they never had to try in highschool, and thus did not develop the necessary skills like: time management, ability to adjust to independent life, and good studying skills, skills that are essential for success. This study is important because it looks first hand at what is causing gifted underachievers to not meet their potential and it also focuses on a group that is often left out from gifted underachievement studies: college students. Underachievement is a colossal issue because it is attributed to students not receiving the assistance and having the motivation they require to succeed. Two of the ... In conclusion, the research team suggests that studies be carried out at other universities on gifted underachievers to help determine what can be done to help these students become more successful. • 6. The Narrative Voice in the Lovely Bones In the novel The Lovely Bones (TLB) by Alice Sebold, the narrative voice is the key technique that hooks the reader and compels him or her to turn over the page. While the author uses a number of other literary techniques to draw the reader in, it is the narrator s voice that is this novel s most interesting and appealing feature. The narrative voice in this novel is unique to other novels because the narrator is a girl named Susie Salmon who is speaking from heaven. This is a distinctive point in the novel because it gives us the story from the perspective from others and we experience themes in the book that we never experienced before. Firstly the narrator of the book TLB is a teenaged girl named Susie Salmon who has been raped at murdered by a man named Mr. Harvey. Susie lived in a small American town and was killed in a cornfield at the age of 14. We know that she is talking from the after life because she tells us from the first page I was fourteen when I was murdered on December 6, 1973 . She then starts to narrate the novel from the afterlife. This perspective allows us this point of view to experience the narrator and the people she is connected with in a way we have never touched upon before. Susie can tell the mood of a person, what he/she is thinking at the time, what they are going to do next and it s because of the way she can interpret the emotions of other people that makes the narrative voice of this novel it s unique selling point Secondly the narrator ... • 8. Passover The Prince Of Egypt Hollywood is known for creating its classic movies that are cherished long after they were released. Some of the greatest movies of all time are animated, one of them being The Prince of Egypt. This time honoured film was based upon the true story of the Jewish ancestors in Sefer Shemot. To some extent the movie was spot on but, there were a handful of differences between the movie and the history. The addition of character traits, songs, and events, reshaped the story of Passover and made the movie a success. The first observation noted is the addition of character traits. For example, the brotherly bond between Moshe and Ramses. In both the movie and the history, Moshe was raised in the Egyptian palace. But in Shemot, Ramses is not a character. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hollywood attempts to adapt all of the original story without boring or offending the audience. To do so, Hollywood removed and added scenes to the film. The first example is when Moshe and Ramses are chariot racing throughout the palace. Things get out of hand and they end up destroying a large and an important statue. Their father Pharaoh gets very cross with them and punishes them for their actions. This scene does not appear in Shemot but Hollywood adds this scene to represent the brother s fun personalities and what it is like growing up in the Egyptian palace. A second time this is seen is the ceremony held for the new prince of Egypt, Ramses. Moshe also receives a new title, the Royal Chief Architect. As a gift from the magicians, they give Ramses captivity of Sephora. Ramses declines and gives her to Moshe. He embarrasses her in front of all the citizens of Egypt by making her fall into the fountain. Again, none of this happens in history and Sephora is only introduced when Moshe saves her at the well, which does happen in the movie. ‫ב‬ ‫פרק‬ ‫צאנם‬ ‫וישקאת‬ ‫ויושען‬ ‫משה‬ ‫ויקם‬ ‫ויגרשום‬ ‫הרעים‬ ‫ויבאו‬. Hollywood does this to show maturity and character growth for Moshe and showing the viewers that Sephora is a strong female lead. The third example is not an addition but an important scene in history that was cut from the film. In Sefer Shemot, before exiting Egypt the Jews baked unleavened bread also known as ... Due to the amount of gas present in this area group velocity decreases and the Zenith angle contributes to the troposphere refraction. The lower the zenith angle the more affected is the tropospheric refraction. Ionosphere and Troposphere has an influence on pseudo range and Carrier phase measurement because of electrons present in this region that obstruct the signal waves from the rover to the satellite, (Parker, 2003). The book is mainly about a mysterious death surrounding the main character s favorite teacher with no leads or cause of death. The book keeps you engaged by adding things that you least expect about the case as the book goes on. Some positives or likes I had while reading are as follows below. One like I had about the book was the description of the murder. The eye sockets were empty. (pg. 43) This helps you envision the body, how they found it in the book. Another like I had with the book is, She bought a car, Cam. She s left New York. (pg.73) The aspect of her long lost mother rushing to see her the entire story adds more suspense. It was extremely predictable that Cammie s mom would save her in the end. The last thing I disliked in the book was the character of the deputy in the book, Kill two birds with one stone. The existing system used by Western Dialysis Clinic is the traditional ratio of cost to charges (RCC) method. Under this system the traceable supply costs are assigned directly to the two types of treatment. And also currently both the treatments seem profitable. Due to this David Thomas, the controller of Western Dialysis has recognized two major issues: First, the procedure currently being used to assign common expenses may not be correctly presenting the underlying use of the common resources by two different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As it can be seen this traditional system shows both the procedures to be profitable for the clinic. But there were several concerns regarding this procedure as projected by the controller of the clinic, since the traditional system may not be assigning the common expenses to accurately represent the underlying use of the common resources used by HD and PD. Therefore there is a need shown by the controller to explore the activity based costing system to understand the costs netter, which can more accurately calculate the profitability of the two procedures in order to assist the managers to make more informed decisions. This has been performed in the following breakdown where the general overhead category, nursing services and equipment costs have been the focus of the analysis, to obtain a better understanding of the costs at Western Dialysis Clinic. Phase I General Overhead Category The initial analysis consists of focusing on the general overhead category. For the nursing and the equipment costs, the allocation is 85% towards HD and 15% towards PD based on staff s experience rather than using the traditional RCC method. It is based on a true story of the Bielski brothers, they led thousands of Jews to hide from the Germans in the forests of Nazi occupied Belarus, and they managed to keep them alive for several years. This movie is historically very accurate except for minor issues that happened in the movie. The Bielski brothers were actually aggressive with each other to show power over the rescued Jews, but what was not accurate that the film suggests Asael was much younger than the other two, he was actually only two years younger than Tuvia, while Zus was four years younger. In the film, Tuvia kills one of the police officers that killed his parents which was true but he did not go into emotional distress because of it, he was sending a message that who would kill Jewish people will be killed too and the fact he killed many others before this officer it did not matter to him. What was also accurate, in Eastern Europe, the Nazis didn t immediately send Jews to concentration camps, instead, they created walls around each city, where Jews were forced to work as slaves, and kept in terror by frequent executions. Until the walls were destroyed, the Bielskis had many plans to rescue the Jews and guide them to their camp in the forest. It was daring from the brothers as they had a heave price for ...
