Co Operative Education And Traditional Education
Unlike other subjects that may require work and effort to understand, people tend to think they know
what education is. It is familiar topic: a word in the daily use. It s all around us. We go to college or
university to get educated. We entrust our children to schools in the belief that they will become
knowledgeable and skilled (Wood 11). Evidently, education is a long term process, which almost all
people must experience in life. So that, the choices associated with major, future job or kind of
programs are controversial problems in general public, especially the issue of whether or not Co
operative (Co op) education is better than traditional (Non Co op) programs. Additionally, it is also
implied that Co operative program is known as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As evidence of this, according to Learning to Learn, College teachers have expressed frustration about
attendance in class, uncompleted reading assignments, and student focus on grades rather than
learning. Student surveys indicate that courses are not interesting, that students fail to recognize the
value of what they are learning, and that many faculty rely too heavily on lectures for transmitting
information (Wirth and Perkins 2 3). Moreover, the rote learning style, which is the memorization of
information based on repetition, though might not understand basic content deeply or may
immediately forget the facts they have learned after the test is the harmful disease that so many
students are struggling. Contrary to conventional education programs, it is implied that Evidently,
enabling students to experience the more theoretical world of school in tandem with the more practical
world of work has the potential of increasing some of the positive outcomes of education (Jeela 2). In
other words, due to integrated learning model of co op educational structure, the student can review
knowledge what is gained in class more effective than studying what were taken note. It is true that
beside classroom lectures, Co op program allows students to work at the company to get credit. This is
mandatory if the learners choose the curriculum with Co op course, the period will be interspersed
with durations of student lectures. Moreover,

Allday V. Cage Document Analysis
For a will to incorporate a document by reference, the will must so clearly identify the document as to
preclude all probability of mistake as to the [document] referred to . Allday v. Cage. The courts do not
favor ambiguity when a document is referenced in a will because the meaning of the will may be
altered. Brooker v. Brooker. A will describes a document with sufficient clarity if the description of the
document contains the correct date and name(s) in the document. In Allday v. Cage, the court held that
a [document] between [Mrs. M. J. Crow] and J. H. Cage, John Cage, Day Cage, Jessie White and F. S.
White... September 14th, 1910 described in the will by its date and names included was incorporated
into the will. In contrast, the court held that a document described simply as deed did not sufficiently
describe the document for incorporation into a will. Brooker v. Brooker. If a will references a
document and identifies the individual possessing it, the document will be incorporated into the will.
For example, if a last will and testament is handwritten onto the back of a postcard and includes a note
that says handle pursuant to the incomplete will Doris has , the incomplete will may be found to be a
document incorporated by reference into the will written on the postcard. Trim v. Daniels. ... Show

In Taylor v. Republic National Bank of Dallas, the court found a document referenced to be
incorporated into the will invalid because it required the animated participation of an individual who
had died. In the aforementioned case, the will failed to accurately describe the contents of the
document as the individual was also the testator of the will. Also, a will that does not describe the
contents of a document will not be found by the courts to have incorporated the document by its
reference alone. Brooker v.

Assessment of a Conflict Situation

Assessment of a Conflict Situation
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to identify a conflict situation provide an analysis of each of the following
related to a conflict situation: parties involved, events/issues, power, regulation and conflict and style
of conflict management. This analysis should include defining variables and answers to assessment
questions as appropriate.
Conflict
Conflict is generally viewed negatively as a power struggle, with the intent to neutralize, injure or
eliminate rivals (Sportsman, 2005, p. 34). As nurse leaders it is important to have the knowledge,
skills and abilities in several areas ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The interested third parties are, Those who have some interest in the conflict s outcome (Sportsman,
2005, p. 54). These persons would be the ordering physicians and the patients. In analyzing this
conflict it is clear that the doctor and nurse have a common goal and this is to ensure that the patient is
taken care of. Both participants agree that the lab information is important but the doctor felt that it
was not necessary to provide him with the information at that time of night whereas the nurse believed
the information to be important enough to share at that moment. The nurse likely felt this way from a
professional standpoint. In healthcare, professional socialization regarding roles and responsibilities of
various disciplines significantly contributes to many conflicts (Sportsman, 2005, p. 36). An example
of this would be the nurse being professionally obligated to report the abnormal lab values at the
moment the information was received due to the professional obligation to the nurse practice act
(Sportsman, 2005) whereas the physician coming from a medical culture wanted to have control of the
situation by telling the nurse that he wanted to speak to the supervisor making it appear like once he
did so this conflict would never arise again. This type intimidation and dominance is considered an
ineffective method of conflict resolution

My Community Service Hours, By Paul Magedson
For my community service hours, I went to the Good Earth Organic Farm in Celeste, TX owned by
Paul Magedson. It is a certified organic farm that prides itself on not using extensive herbicide and
pesticide use[d] by intensive conventional agriculture (Andreatta 2000 p.40). Paul s farm grows and
sells organic produce such as cucumbers, strawberries, okra, kale, and tomatoes. He sells grass fed
lamb from the sheep has raises on his farm and he also has chickens. To complete my hours, I went on
two trips to the farm. Our first task was to pick okra and I instantly realized why farmers are known to
have tough hands. As a half hour into picking okra I had two large blisters on both my thumbs. After
picking the okra we weeded the tomato garden. This is where I began to understand just how hard
farming is, since weeding in the hot Texas is tiring. Once we were done weeding, Paul served us lunch
of a fruit smoothie and kale salad. Once we got our lunch we all sat on his porch and discussed how
Paul started farming and his views on industrialized food. Paul began farming because of his ex wife,
which I think made him regret farming as he talked about if he knew how hard farming was he would
not have started his own farm business. However, he did have a passion for growing organic food as
he believed the reason we are getting cancer is because of all the chemical in our food. After lunch
was done he took us to see sheep and I was amazed at how many of them there were. We learned

Historical Evaluation of Computer
➢ What is a computer? Why it is also known as a data processor?
A device that computes, especially a programmable electronic machine that performs high speed
mathematical or logical operations or that assembles, stores, correlates, or otherwise processes

A computer is an electronic device which manipulates or transforms data. It accepts data, stores data,
process data according to a set of instructions, and also retrieve the data when required. Hence it is
known as a data processor.

4. Diligence: Unlike human beings a computer is free from tiredness and lack of concentration. It can
continuously work for hours without creating any error and without grumbling. And a computer will

5. Versatility: Versatility is one of the most wonderful things about the computer. One moment it is
preparing the results of an examination the next moment its working with picture. Briefly a computer
can perform almost any task if the task can be analyzed as binary logical instance.
6. Power of remembering: As a human being acquires new knowledge the brain subconsciously selects
what it feels to be important and worth retaining in its memory. This is not the case with a computer. A
computer can store any data and information as long as the user wants and can recall them anytime to
reprocess because of its memory compatibility. Even after several years user can use the saved data as
he saved means it remains unchanged.
7. No I.Q.: A computer is not a magical device. It possesses no intelligence of its own. Its IQ is zero at
least until today. It must have to be told what to do. A user can only tell a computer what to do. A
computer can not take its own decision.
8. No feelings: Computers are devoid of emotions. They have no feeling and no instincts because they

Superstition
Superstition is a belief, half belief, or practice for which there appears to be no rational substance.
People tend to believe that they have their own certain knowledge or evidence that supports religious
beliefs or philosophical reasoning s. This leads people into believing that they have more control than
the reality and actuality of all situations and circumstances. Many customs that we take for granted as
being a normal part of our culture have actually evolved from superstitious beliefs of the past. There
are two examples that grabbed my attention the most out of the video. The first one being in 1948

Kansas Water Conservation
Water is a resource that has always been available to us, and I feel as a society we have taken it for
granted for many generations. While I was doing the research for this water conservation essay, it
opened my eyes to the importance of my generation to preserve the remaining aquifer. Although I don
t reside in Southwest Kansas, I have very strong ties to this area of Kansas where the family farm is
located. The impact of not preserving water will not only affect our family farm in Grant and Stevens
county, but also the cattle that graze on the grass in the pasture. Along with our pasture, we have farm
ground that is irrigated to raise silage, corn, and wheat; which is sold to feed yards in the area for
cattle. Without water, the impact ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Take shorter showers, turn off the water when we brush our teeth and just be more conscious of water
usage in order to not be wasteful. When it comes to future farmers, they can pay close attention to
water per acre feet regulations and follow them closely. Another way to extend water when it comes to
agriculture is to use less water intensive crops. Examples are grain sorghum, cotton and sunflowers.
Repairing leaks in irrigation and utilizing new and improved ways to irritate are other possible
solutions. One new way to irrigate is the PMDI (Precision Mobile Drip irrigation technology system
called (Dragon Line). This new system is predicting a potential for 20 50% water savings compared to
conventional irrigation. I believe that for my generation to help with water conservation, we need to
be diligent about educating everyone in the past, present and future about the importance of not taking

Analyzing Political Corruption and its Effects on the Mexican Economy

Macroeconomics
Warren Smith
4th of April 2014 Abstract For macroeconomics, we were given an assignment to examine and analyze
the causes of the business cycle in foreign economies. We were divided into groups of 6 and were
given the instructions to randomly select a continent. Our continent was North America. We had to
choose between Canada and Mexico. The reason why we decided to choose Mexico is because of its
economy trade with the US, their migration flow, the interesting influence on oil prices worldwide and
the impact that the drug cartels have on Mexican politicians. Mexico is known for being one of the
world s most corrupt nations but somehow they still manage to have one of the best industrializing
economies in Latin America. The causes for a country s business cycle can be either endogenous or
exogenous. Throughout this paper, the internal problem of political corruption will be analyzed and
discussed in order to determine Mexico s economic stage.
Introduction Between 175 countries, Mexico is ranked as the 103rd most corrupt nation worldwide.
Corruption has become the cancer of Mexico. Organized crimes and corruption are linked with each
other and cannot operate without one another. There are witnesses who have seen state police pick up
cocaine shipments and delivering them personally to the cartels. This linkage between cartels and the

Drug Resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae
Drug Resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae
The war against bacteria and their ability to evolve at a much faster rate than humans can create
antibiotics (a medicine that hinders and disrupts bacterial growth and or destroys it) to fight against
them has the human race at a disadvantage. With more and more bacteria being found to have strains
of drug resistant chains is creating a health crisis around the world as global health officials try to find
a way to protect their populations against this up and coming threat, and the issues it poses for the
future of medicine and treatment of infections. Due to increased use of antibiotics in unneeded
situations, bacteria are having more chances to let mutations that are immune to antibiotics be spread
through other bacteria. This is causing more cases of antibiotic resistant bacteria and increasing the
number of them. Drug resistance results in higher costs due to longer hospital pays and more
expensive antibiotics, need for supervision, patient education, and new drug developments. Drug
resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae, or more commonly known as DRSP is found in nearly every
corner of the world but are more common in places that are less developed and therefore have a less

Analysis Of The Book Night By Elie Wiesel
Elie Wiesel was born in 1928. In his book, Night, which was published in 1955, Wiesel depicts his
personal journey through the German concentration camps by the use of his character Eliezer
(Sparknotes). At the age of 15, he lives with his family in Sighet, Transylvania (Biography). His father
Shlomo is very involved with the community there. Eliezer is deeply engaged in religious studies,
being taught by Moshe, an older man in his community who is considered a lunatic by many
(Sparknotes). In 1941, Moshe is deported from Sighet. He later returns to tell of a great tragedy. His
train had been overtaken by Gestapo, and all but him where brutally executed. Because of Moshe s
nature, none of the Jews of Sighet believe the horror stories that he tells. Believing they are safe, the
Jews live in denial for a number of years, but eventually the Holocaust makes its way to Sighet
(Sparknotes). In 1945, the whole Jewish population of Sighet is deported to Auschwitz Birkenau. This
is one of the biggest and worst of the German concentration camps. It is here were Eliezer s mother
and sisters are killed in the gas chambers. He and his father are selected for the labor force (eNotes).
The work is very tough and Eliezer has to work very hard to take care of himself as well as his aging
father. As he witnesses the ongoing horrors of the camp he finds his heart turning cold. His faith in
God is lost after he witnesses the hanging of a young child which has connection to some prisoners

Frankenstein And The Modern Prometheus
Introduction Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus is a sci fi novel composed by Mary Shelley.
This is the story of a science understudy, Victor Frankenstein, who made a beast amid one of his trials.
This beast ends up being an inconvenience for Victor. The creature depicted as a living being with all
the emotions and feelings, and his appearance of beast was a huge issue when he felt that individuals
dreaded him, and they abhor him. He would not like to murder individuals; indeed he attempted to
spare a young lady, yet because of dread a man attempted to execute him as a beast. Victor s sibling
additionally attempted to shout when he saw him, in his endeavor to keep the kid calm, he strangled
the kid. To stay away from all these killings, he asked Victor to make him a female with the goal that
he can leave this spot with his mate and will never come in broad daylight. Victor concurred, however
when he understood the results of this entire type of creatures, he slaughtered the fragmented female.
Creature attempted to take reprisal and murdered Victor s wives. The story was an incredible
achievement and confronted negative feedback before all else. Commentators consider it as a
sickening awfulness story; however with its prosperity it got different positive remarks. Thesis

What Is The Reflection Of The Movie Shottas
For this assignment, I decided to reflect on the film Shottas . The film begins in the streets of
Kingston, Jamaica home of Biggs and Wayne, the two main characters. They lived within a very
dangerous and violent town, which drove them into their own violent lifestyle. As young men, how the
movie starts off, they rob the local drug dealers of a gun for a premeditated robbery. The money
allowed for them to purchase visas to come to Miami, Florida. While in the United States, as adults,
the two continue their criminal activities leading them to be deported back to their home in Jamaica.

Analysis
When it comes to extortion, in my opinion, there are different levels when it comes to classifying it as
an organized crime. As young men, the boys decided to rob and shoot a delivery truck driver, in order,
to rob him of his earnings. They commited a robbery, however, it modded them into become
disciplined organized criminals and extortionist. I call this a minor because of the money they robbed
the driver of was nothing compared to the amounts of money they were extorting from the upperworld
and underworld people of power. Their behavior reflects the behaviors they have seen first hand
within their communities. The young children within the community are exposed first hand to the
violence of the local gangs and crimes. At this time, I believe, the issue was with the Jamaican
systems, as in educational and law enforcement. Along with the issue of the communities lack of
attention towards their new generations, is the issue of corruption. Aside from law enforcement being
able to keep up with the criminal activity, and being able to stop it, is the political officials being
corrupted. The film reflects on how the political world sometimes becomes involved in the organized
crime world. Reflecting on a reading we did this semester, when the upperworld connects itself with
organized criminals, it does not mean the official themself are involved in crimes themselves.
However, it allows for the organized crime to succeed and become a thriving

A Brief Note On The Global Car Rental Industry Essay
Did you know the global car rental industry is expected to reach an estimated value of $81.2 billion by
2019? The transportation sector is one of the main operating sectors of the tourism industry. Looking
further into the transportation sector, since the beginning people have been traveling by various
modes, rather it was by feet, by aircraft or some form of vehicle. Tourism and transportation are very
inextricably linked, that s why it s hard to overstate the importance of transportation. As tourism
increases there will be more demands that will be placed on transportation. In research it finds that air
travels dominates long distance and middle distance tourism but the private automobile dominates for
shorter trips and by far the most popular means of travel for most domestic journeys. The automobile
is very much so important in regional and international tourism, because when you think about
transportation it simple means to carry passengers from point A to point B, when it s considering from
a tourism point of view, it simply refers to carrying tourists from their residents to the place where the
touristic products are introduced. With travel and tourism experience of tourists no matter where they
are start and end with transportation, main reason why it is impossible not to consider tourism without
transportation. If we can t move people from place to place weather by air, sea, or land then there is no

When Augustus returned to Rome, they had to split the power between the three of them, creating the
Second Triumvirate. Although Augustus and Antony were enemies, they had to work together. Rome

Because of this, Rome became allies with Egypt. When the time came for the triumvirate to be
renewed (37 BC), Lepidus was removed from the group. In 32 BC, Mark Antony divorced Octavia,
Augustus sister. Augustus was furious because of this and declared war between Egypt. Mark Antony
and Cleopatra ended up running away together and eventually committed suicide. Augustus was the
only man in the Second Triumvirate still standing, so he gained the full power. Augustus became the
first emperor of Rome in 27 BC. During the time he served as emperor, he doubled the size of Rome,
secured alliances, created the postal system, added more roads, and added fire and police departments.
Between Augustus work as triumvirate member and emperor, he was married three times. His first
wife, Clodia Pulchra, was Mark Antony s step daughter. Augustus had a child with his second wife,
Scribonia, named Julia. Livia Drusilla was his third and final wife. She had two sons, Tiberius, who
was Augustus heir, and Drusus.
When Augustus died in 14 AD, some of his famous last words were, I found Rome a city of clay and

Strawbridge s purpose in writing this article was to inform the general public of the dangers of
artificial sweeteners. The article mainly briefs over the negative effects of consuming artificial
sweeteners, specifically the diseases potentially caused by them. This article speaks more negatively
of artificial sweeteners than any other source used. It is also fairly short and direct. It can be
determined unbiased and credible due to the fact that it was published through Harvard Medical
School. This source would not be optimal for this essay because it provides information showing that

Collective Bargaining
The National Collegiate Athletic Association or the NCAA was originally founded in 1906. Their
motto was To protect you people from the dangerous and exploitive athletics practices of the time.
Currently, the NCAA has seemed to stop focusing on protecting the athletes themselves and rather
protecting their own profits. The NCCA is currently is a multi billion dollar institution that will rake in
more than $702 million dollars in pure TV revenue this year. Yet with that profit they cannot find a
reason for athletes to be compensated for their actions. Currently students are struggling to pay bills,
have meals after practice, and maintain a good GPA yet the NCAA will not budge. The questions that
must be asked is can NCAA schools afford to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Walter Byers recently wrote a novel talking about the insides and outside of the NCAA. He was an
executive director for the NCAA from 1951 to 1987 an it was his job to generate money will also
keeping the sport itself safe. during the move Byers believes that modern day college sports are no
longer a student activity: they are a high dollar commercial enterprise, and college athletes should
have the same access to the free market as their coaches and colleges. If such a high profile NCAA
director is coming out and saying that the NCAA is unfair towards their athletes, he must have a point.
He is saying that the NCAA has more than fifty television contracts and millions of money from
different sponsors yet the somehow can not find a way to fund their students. When the NCAA was
first starting out the world of college sports was very different and not as high profile. That is not the
case anymore as recently the University of Michigan said that they are Ranked as the fourth largest
city in the state on football Saturdays. That is how big college sports have become they have created
an aura around themselves. The fact that athletes are still not being paid while the sport is growing so
rapidly is almost sticking. Its is pure greed that the NCAA has been able to capitalize on for over a

Analysis Of The Poem Hay Fever
Hay Fever Response
Hay Fever was a comical play with a strong message. The actors throughout this play steadily used
others to gain their own attention. The message this play left behind after many laughs was do not use
others, plain and simple.
The space was a well constructed thrust stage however, the stage was not raised off the ground and the
seats appeared to be mobile which lead to the belief that this is an Environmental Theater. As for the
layout of the stage, there was a couch and a table in center stage for the first two acts, a door to the
unseen outside front of the house upstage right, there were two large double doors upstage center
leading to the backyard garden, and a raised floor upstage left containing a piano, a bookcase ... Show

All of the family members acted genuine. There was one actor who stood out as a perfect fit for his
character. Taylor Rascher played Simon Bliss and played him perfectly. Rascher s character Simon
was a young man who was dramatic and romantic so much so it was almost to the point of
ridiculousness. Rascher stole the show in the first act when he was romancing with Michelle Luz, who
plays Myra Arundel. Rascher was displaying his love for Michelle Luz (Myra) in the most dramatic of
fashions; he was playing the Bliss game of pretending to be in complete love with someone and then a
moment later change his mind. Rascher was proclaiming his love with elegant speeches and coddling
up next to her and eventually kissing her. Rascher made this scene particularly hilarious because he
was completely over the top in typical Bliss fashion. Of course, all of this was for naught because Luz
ended up kissing Joe Hubbard s character David Bliss in act two and also Rascher proclaimed his
engagement to Caitlin Stagemoller s character, Jackie Coryton. Rascher made his voice more shrill
and audible to appear to be more dramatic and create more attention for himself. In the same way,
Rascher used grander gestures with his arms (flailing, waving, etc.) to cause a more dramatic effect.
The play was well interpreted by all whom were involved. Steven Wrentmore, the Director, kept the
1920 s feel by dressing in all 1920 s costumes and everyone spoke as if they were

Isolation And Its Effects On Its Victims
Introduction
Isolation has been portrayed in numerous texts for hundreds of years and is still a common theme in
literature today. Isolation is not only portrayed in literature but also occurs in real life situations . The
effect of isolation on its victims is that they try to overcome their state of isolation by finding a way to
obtain some sort of companionship, whether it is with an inanimate object, imagination or with an
animal. One does not require to be all alone to be isolated as there are different types of isolation, and
one that is quite common today is being socially isolated. The four texts that portray one of these
subtopics are Cast Away directed by Robert Zemeckis, I Am Legend directed by Francis Lawrence,
Miss Brill by Katherine Mansfield and The Bath by Janet Frame.
Connection One: Victims that are in state of isolation try to overcome it through obtaining some sort
of companionship
Those that are absolutely secluded from human civilisation tend to mentally change from their
previous lifestyle to a new lifestyle as they try to overcome the state of isolation. They do it by trying
to obtain some sort of companionship with inanimate object or animals to avert from teetering on the
edge of insanity. This idea is conveyed through the films I Am Legend directed by Francis Lawrence,
Cast Away directed by Robert Zemeckis and also in the short story Miss Brill by Katherine Mansfield.
In I Am Legend A deadly virus burned through human

Runaway Juveniles Are Not A Serious Problem
National surveys suggested that 6% 7% of adolescents run away from home in the United States
(Sanchez, Waller, Greene, 2006; Tyler Bersani, 2008). Most runaways rarely stay away from home for
long periods and stay within 50 miles of home (Hammer, Finkelhor, Sedlak, 2002). Although runaway
juveniles are not a serious problem (Kim, 2006) and eventually return to parents or guardian (Milburn
et al., 2007), they are victimized and exposed in deteriorate circumstances while away. There were
many problems for runaway juveniles, in spite of returning after a short period of time, such as
increasing their likelihood of engaging in high risk behavior, being exploited or victimized by others,
and resorting to illicit activities (Chen, Thrane, Whitbeck, Johnson, Hoyt, 2007; Kipke, Simon,
Montgomey, Unger, Iversen, 1997; Wagner, Carlin, Cauce, Tenner, 2001). However, few researchers
explained the reason of why adolescents run away from home (Andres Lemay, Jamieson, MacMillan,
2005; National Runaway Switchboard, 2008; Safyer, Thompson, Maccio, Zittel Palamara, Forehand,
2004; Van der Ploeg Scholte, 1997; Welsh, 1995). They claimed that the most common reason is
negative family environment. Safyer et al. (2004) found that 41% of the adolescents attributed their
runaway behavior to a poor relationship dynamic with their parents. Poor parenting practices and
physical abuse increase the likelihood that a child will run away (Matchinda, 1999; P. Kurtz, G. Kurtz,
Jarvis,

Debate Process
Learning how to avoid probate can save heirs time and money, prevent family disputes, and allow
easy transfer of inheritance property upon death. Many people are not even familiar with probate let
alone how to prevent it from occurring. Probate is required within all states of the U.S. to ensure
decedent estates are settled according to inheritance laws. It is a time consuming process that can take
several months to complete.
Becoming educated about how to avoid probate is as simple as conducting research on the Internet or
consulting with a family law attorney or estate planner. Many banks, credit unions, and financial
advisors offer estate planning services for a nominal fee.
The only way to completely avoid the probate process is to transfer ... Show more content on

An estate administrator must be appointed through the court and additional work is required to locate
heirs, inventory property, and other details which are normally included in the last will.
Individuals who hold bank accounts, retirement accounts, financial portfolios, and life insurance
policies can assign beneficiaries to receive proceeds upon death. Beneficiary forms can be obtained
through the financial institution where the account is held. Account holders can assign multiple
beneficiaries and state the percentage of funds they will receive.
Beneficiaries must abide by each financial institution s policy regarding distribution of inheritance
funds. Most states require beneficiaries to submit date of death value forms to the county tax assessor
s office. As long as decedents are current with taxes, the Assessor s off will stamp the form so
proceeds can be distributed.
Titled property can be kept out of probate by establishing joint ownership. When real estate or motor
vehicles have joint titles, the property automatically transfers to the co owner. When joint ownership is

Legality Of Abortion Research Paper

ethical and moral issues within the United States today. As times and morals change, this issue is
constantly being mentioned when advancements within science are made concerning conception and
pregnancy in general. In retrospect, abortion is a very sensitive and personal issue. The debate
surrounding the legality of abortion still has the ability to stir a debate among Americans, even after
the Supreme Court s 7 2 decision in the Roe V. Wade case that found the procedure a fundamental
right on January 22nd 1973. Furthermore, groups that identify as pro choice contend that deciding to

Drug Hormones Have On Animals Essay
Effects Drug Hormones Have on Animals
The smell of pork chops or hamburger on the grill tends to make people s mouth water. Did you know
that farmers feed animals drug hormones? Farmers feed animals drug hormones that effect their
growth and get into the meat source? People will look at food labels and sees the FDA stamp. As
customers we tend to think that if the FDA approves the meat then we can eat the product safely.
However, many drug hormones have not only effected animals growth but also may cause harm to
customers.
Farmer try to ensure the best quality meat. Then why every thirty days are farmers injecting our
animals with drugs that could kill them or even possibly get into their meat. Researchers were finding
that ractopamine could cause animals to become sick, unhealthy or possibly could even die (Minton).
Farmers were using the drug ractopamine for animals to help animals grow faster. If animals gain
weight faster, when they go to slaughter they tend to make more money for the farmers. Growth
promotion is one of the main reason why farmers give them hormone drugs. According to Dan Charles
farmers tend too feed animals to many antibiotics, so they will later become immune to the antibiotic.

Timeless Songs
Historical musicology and social trends hold either the key to unlocking the secret of a timeless song,
or the supposition that perhaps timeless songs are serendipitous or without a measurable cause. As this
paper will discuss music popularity as it changes over time, it is also important that corresponding
changes in technology over the same time period are duly considered during analysis. Technological
developments are powerful vehicles for global art exposure, and this must not be ignored. The rise in
popularity of computer generated/synthesised music would not have been possible without the
technological developments made at that time, nor would the dissemination of such music. The
meaning of a piece of music can completely change depending on the ... Show more content on

The central purpose of this paper is to create a platform upon which we can better answer enterprising
questions such as, what is the difference between a one hit wonder and a Beatles record? , and Is there
a formula to writing a timeless song, or are social trends alone the deciding factor? . I have chosen this
subject due to the relevance it has to the sociological relationship between music, time and audience
new musicology as opposed to ethnomusicology. I am using time as a frame of reference upon which I
will structure my analysis of the music industry s trends and the bilateral social influence between
songs and people over the decades. I will analyse case studies from the 1960 s and the relevance of
those case studies over our most recent decade. I will do this for every decade except for 2000 present

Mansa Musa Facts
Mansa Musa
Before Mansa Musa took the thrown, there was not really known about him. It was only until 1312
when he took the thrown from his father Abu Bakr II, people started to know the young Musa when he
inherited the title Mansa. 1312 is a year that many will not forget, because of the generous king s
progressive ideas and how he was loved by his people. His reach stretched over two thousand miles.
He was known by many different names like Emir of Melle , Lord of the Conqueror of Ghanata , or
Lion of Mali (newtonic learnodo.com). But he was mostly known by the name Mansa Musa, which
means the King of Kings
As West Africa s first Muslim King, he ensured peace for decades. He was loved by many, not only
for his grace but for the large sums of money and gold that we would give out to charitable
organizations. Even though he was the richest king in history, he believed that most of his wealth
should be shared with vast amounts of people. Even though Mansa Musa was a ruler, there were many
times where he did not act as a King.
The Mansa was also the first ruler to travel over four thousand to the city of Mecca. On this
pilgrimage, he stopped at many large cities along his way, including Cairo, Medina, and other Arab
cities. Years of planning and hundreds of people preparing, he made the journey with large sums of
gold. But he was not going to leave his palace and kingdom to be left alone while he was gone. He got
a large group of men for the year to run the kingdom,

Life of a Teenager
The Effects of Teenage Relationships Different relationships affect teenagers in various ways. Friends
impact teenagers almost the same amount as their parents. Teenagers go to their friends for help or to
ask questions that they could not ask their parents about. Most of the time their friends give them good
advice but then there is the down side when they put pressure on their friends to do something like to
smoke, drink, and do drugs. In most cases they tell their friends how to dress and act when around
certain people. Love relationships just make it even harder for a teenager to get a good education.

Close family ties are an important bond for each member of the family. A guy who wants to date a girl
must ask for her parents permission. In case no permission is granted, it is highly unlikely for the date
to actually happen, unless in some cases that the girl and guy sneak out and date out secretly.
However, this is morally unacceptable in Philippine culture. Filipino parents are very strict with their
children having romantic relationships. Brothers are generally protective of their sisters. Even cousins
and other relatives are protective of their young female cousins and relatives. They become more
lenient when their daughters, sisters and relatives reach the legal age of 18. When picking up the girl
at her home for a date, it is common to provide gifts to the family members (parents, grandparents and
siblings) as well. Parents usually want to have some conversation with the guy and ask about his
family and educational background before they can go out for a date. First Date The first date is
officially a time to get to know each other. The couple ask about each other s backgrounds and it is
highly unlikely to have a passionate kiss after the date. Some girls allow a kiss on the cheek after the
first date, but this varies per person and per couple. Some guys don t even get the chance to hold the
hand of their conservative dates. However, the more liberal females are more open to

It is not a question of having more, or more significant, opportunities: the opportunity for me to study
is there now. Rather it is a question of being able to take advantage of the opportunity by being in
control of my life. Positive freedom in this example is a matter of my having the capacity to take the
rational option as well as having the opportunity: whereas, according to a concept of negative
freedom, the opportunities that I have alone determine the extent of my freedom. I am free to study in
the negative sense since no one is preventing me from doing it; no one has locked away my books, or
hidden my pen and paper; no one has dragged me out of the door to go to the movies, or chained me to
my easy chair in front of the television. However, I am not free in the positive sense; I am not truly
free, because I am a slave to my tendency to be sidetracked. True positive freedom would involve
seizing control of my life and making rational choices for myself. Those who defend positive freedom
believe that just because no one is preventing you from doing something, it does not follow that you
are genuinely free. Positive freedom is a matter of achieving your potential, not just having

  • 2. Co Operative Education And Traditional Education Unlike other subjects that may require work and effort to understand, people tend to think they know what education is. It is familiar topic: a word in the daily use. It s all around us. We go to college or university to get educated. We entrust our children to schools in the belief that they will become knowledgeable and skilled (Wood 11). Evidently, education is a long term process, which almost all people must experience in life. So that, the choices associated with major, future job or kind of programs are controversial problems in general public, especially the issue of whether or not Co operative (Co op) education is better than traditional (Non Co op) programs. As evidence of this, according to Learning to Learn, College teachers have expressed frustration about attendance in class, uncompleted reading assignments, and student focus on grades rather than learning. Student surveys indicate that courses are not interesting, that students fail to recognize the value of what they are learning, and that many faculty rely too heavily on lectures for transmitting information (Wirth and Perkins 2 3). Moreover, the rote learning style, which is the memorization of information based on repetition, though might not understand basic content deeply or may immediately forget the facts they have learned after the test is the harmful disease that so many students are struggling. Contrary to conventional education programs, it is implied that Evidently, enabling students to experience the more theoretical world of school in tandem with the more practical world of work has the potential of increasing some of the positive outcomes of education (Jeela 2). Cage Document Analysis For a will to incorporate a document by reference, the will must so clearly identify the document as to preclude all probability of mistake as to the [document] referred to . Allday v. Cage. The courts do not favor ambiguity when a document is referenced in a will because the meaning of the will may be altered. Brooker v. Brooker. A will describes a document with sufficient clarity if the description of the document contains the correct date and name(s) in the document. In Allday v. September 14th, 1910 described in the will by its date and names included was incorporated into the will. In contrast, the court held that a document described simply as deed did not sufficiently describe the document for incorporation into a will. Brooker v. Brooker. If a will references a document and identifies the individual possessing it, the document will be incorporated into the will. For example, if a last will and testament is handwritten onto the back of a postcard and includes a note that says handle pursuant to the incomplete will Doris has , the incomplete will may be found to be a document incorporated by reference into the will written on the postcard. In analyzing this conflict it is clear that the doctor and nurse have a common goal and this is to ensure that the patient is taken care of. Both participants agree that the lab information is important but the doctor felt that it was not necessary to provide him with the information at that time of night whereas the nurse believed the information to be important enough to share at that moment. The nurse likely felt this way from a professional standpoint. In healthcare, professional socialization regarding roles and responsibilities of various disciplines significantly contributes to many conflicts (Sportsman, 2005, p. 36). An example of this would be the nurse being professionally obligated to report the abnormal lab values at the moment the information was received due to the professional obligation to the nurse practice act (Sportsman, 2005) whereas the physician coming from a medical culture wanted to have control of the situation by telling the nurse that he wanted to speak to the supervisor making it appear like once he did so this conflict would never arise again. • 7. My Community Service Hours, By Paul Magedson For my community service hours, I went to the Good Earth Organic Farm in Celeste, TX owned by Paul Magedson. It is a certified organic farm that prides itself on not using extensive herbicide and pesticide use[d] by intensive conventional agriculture (Andreatta 2000 p.40). Paul s farm grows and sells organic produce such as cucumbers, strawberries, okra, kale, and tomatoes. He sells grass fed lamb from the sheep has raises on his farm and he also has chickens. To complete my hours, I went on two trips to the farm. Our first task was to pick okra and I instantly realized why farmers are known to have tough hands. As a half hour into picking okra I had two large blisters on both my thumbs. After picking the okra we weeded the tomato garden. This is where I began to understand just how hard farming is, since weeding in the hot Texas is tiring. Once we were done weeding, Paul served us lunch of a fruit smoothie and kale salad. Once we got our lunch we all sat on his porch and discussed how Paul started farming and his views on industrialized food. Paul began farming because of his ex wife, which I think made him regret farming as he talked about if he knew how hard farming was he would not have started his own farm business. However, he did have a passion for growing organic food as he believed the reason we are getting cancer is because of all the chemical in our food. After lunch was done he took us to see sheep and I was amazed at how many of them there were. We learned ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While I was doing the research for this water conservation essay, it opened my eyes to the importance of my generation to preserve the remaining aquifer. Analyzing Political Corruption and its Effects on the Mexican Economy Gyadisha Sulvaran Palm Beach State College Macroeconomics Warren Smith 4th of April 2014 Abstract For macroeconomics, we were given an assignment to examine and analyze the causes of the business cycle in foreign economies. We were divided into groups of 6 and were given the instructions to randomly select a continent. Our continent was North America. We had to choose between Canada and Mexico. The reason why we decided to choose Mexico is because of its economy trade with the US, their migration flow, the interesting influence on oil prices worldwide and the impact that the drug cartels have on Mexican politicians. Mexico is known for being one of the world s most corrupt nations but somehow they still manage to have one of the best industrializing economies in Latin America. The causes for a country s business cycle can be either endogenous or exogenous. Throughout this paper, the internal problem of political corruption will be analyzed and discussed in order to determine Mexico s economic stage. Introduction Between 175 countries, Mexico is ranked as the 103rd most corrupt nation worldwide. Corruption has become the cancer of Mexico. Pneumoniae Research Paper Ben Sperber Period 7 Drug Resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae Drug Resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae The war against bacteria and their ability to evolve at a much faster rate than humans can create antibiotics (a medicine that hinders and disrupts bacterial growth and or destroys it) to fight against them has the human race at a disadvantage. With more and more bacteria being found to have strains of drug resistant chains is creating a health crisis around the world as global health officials try to find a way to protect their populations against this up and coming threat, and the issues it poses for the future of medicine and treatment of infections. Due to increased use of antibiotics in unneeded situations, bacteria are having more chances to let mutations that are immune to antibiotics be spread through other bacteria. This is causing more cases of antibiotic resistant bacteria and increasing the number of them. Drug resistance results in higher costs due to longer hospital pays and more expensive antibiotics, need for supervision, patient education, and new drug developments. He later returns to tell of a great tragedy. His train had been overtaken by Gestapo, and all but him where brutally executed. Because of Moshe s nature, none of the Jews of Sighet believe the horror stories that he tells. Believing they are safe, the Jews live in denial for a number of years, but eventually the Holocaust makes its way to Sighet (Sparknotes). At this time, I believe, the issue was with the Jamaican systems, as in educational and law enforcement. Along with the issue of the communities lack of attention towards their new generations, is the issue of corruption. Aside from law enforcement being able to keep up with the criminal activity, and being able to stop it, is the political officials being corrupted. The film reflects on how the political world sometimes becomes involved in the organized crime world. Reflecting on a reading we did this semester, when the upperworld connects itself with organized criminals, it does not mean the official themself are involved in crimes themselves. Taylor Rascher played Simon Bliss and played him perfectly. Rascher s character Simon was a young man who was dramatic and romantic so much so it was almost to the point of ridiculousness. Rascher stole the show in the first act when he was romancing with Michelle Luz, who plays Myra Arundel. Rascher was displaying his love for Michelle Luz (Myra) in the most dramatic of fashions; he was playing the Bliss game of pretending to be in complete love with someone and then a moment later change his mind. Rascher was proclaiming his love with elegant speeches and coddling up next to her and eventually kissing her. Rascher made this scene particularly hilarious because he was completely over the top in typical Bliss fashion. Of course, all of this was for naught because Luz ended up kissing Joe Hubbard s character David Bliss in act two and also Rascher proclaimed his engagement to Caitlin Stagemoller s character, Jackie Coryton. Rascher made his voice more shrill and audible to appear to be more dramatic and create more attention for himself. In the same way, Rascher used grander gestures with his arms (flailing, waving, etc.) to cause a more dramatic effect. The play was well interpreted by all whom were involved. • 26. Isolation And Its Effects On Its Victims Introduction Isolation has been portrayed in numerous texts for hundreds of years and is still a common theme in literature today. Isolation is not only portrayed in literature but also occurs in real life situations . The effect of isolation on its victims is that they try to overcome their state of isolation by finding a way to obtain some sort of companionship, whether it is with an inanimate object, imagination or with an animal. One does not require to be all alone to be isolated as there are different types of isolation, and one that is quite common today is being socially isolated. The four texts that portray one of these subtopics are Cast Away directed by Robert Zemeckis, I Am Legend directed by Francis Lawrence, Miss Brill by Katherine Mansfield and The Bath by Janet Frame. Connection One: Victims that are in state of isolation try to overcome it through obtaining some sort of companionship Those that are absolutely secluded from human civilisation tend to mentally change from their previous lifestyle to a new lifestyle as they try to overcome the state of isolation. They do it by trying to obtain some sort of companionship with inanimate object or animals to avert from teetering on the edge of insanity. • 28. Runaway Juveniles Are Not A Serious Problem National surveys suggested that 6% 7% of adolescents run away from home in the United States (Sanchez, Waller, Greene, 2006; Tyler Bersani, 2008). Most runaways rarely stay away from home for long periods and stay within 50 miles of home (Hammer, Finkelhor, Sedlak, 2002). Although runaway juveniles are not a serious problem (Kim, 2006) and eventually return to parents or guardian (Milburn et al., 2007), they are victimized and exposed in deteriorate circumstances while away. There were many problems for runaway juveniles, in spite of returning after a short period of time, such as increasing their likelihood of engaging in high risk behavior, being exploited or victimized by others, and resorting to illicit activities (Chen, Thrane, Whitbeck, Johnson, Hoyt, 2007; Kipke, Simon, Montgomey, Unger, Iversen, 1997; Wagner, Carlin, Cauce, Tenner, 2001). However, few researchers explained the reason of why adolescents run away from home (Andres Lemay, Jamieson, MacMillan, 2005; National Runaway Switchboard, 2008; Safyer, Thompson, Maccio, Zittel Palamara, Forehand, 2004; Van der Ploeg Scholte, 1997; Welsh, 1995). They claimed that the most common reason is negative family environment. Safyer et al. (2004) found that 41% of the adolescents attributed their runaway behavior to a poor relationship dynamic with their parents.
