I hate to end on a sour note, but this declaration is required.
I will follow official ASU rules regarding cheating or plagiarism. If you are
caught cheating on an exam, you will receive a zero and will most likely be
brought up before the judicial board. Plagiarism is also prohibited.
Plagiarism is the use of another person's ideas or thoughts without proper
referencing. This includes the use of another student's materials, copying
materials off a web page, or any actions that result in your submitting work
that is not your own. Handing in a test or an assignment is tacit
acknowledgment on your behalf of the ASU Code of Academic Integrity, and
that you agree to the provisions contained therein. So, don't even think of
cheating. It's not worth the hassle or misery, for either you or me, especially
in an introductory course. A very bad way to start off your college career,
cheating is.
