Disadvantages Of Binoculars
Most people normally like touring places at one time or another. You will note that most tourist
normally buy a pair of binoculars among other things. These equipment can help you bring objects
that are far away closer to your eyes. This enables you to focus on them well and even distinguish
them even though they are far away from you. You will note that not all people own a pair of
binoculars. It is actually an investment for some people. If you choose to buy a pair of binoculars, you
should consider a number of factors. These include:
1. Budget
Once you choose to buy a pair of binoculars, you will be prepared to spend some amount of money. It
is important that you choose a good pair of binoculars for yourself. However, these binoculars usually
have different prices. If you have money, you can choose to go for the pair of binoculars of your
dreams. However, if you are operating on a budget, you should go for the one that suits your budget.
This can greatly help you save money. It is important that you get the value for your money. You
should check the respective prices and choose the one that suits your needs.
2. Quality
There are several types of binoculars out there. Some of these binoculars are of good quality while
others are of bad quality. It is important that you choose a quality pair of binoculars. You will note that

suits your needs. You will realize that cheap and low end binoculars tend to be too small. Others can
be too big. Small binoculars are easy to carry around and use. You can easily travel with them when
going for a tour and so on. However, they may not be very effective. The images may appear too
small. On the other end, big binoculars can provide quality images but can be too cumbersome to
carry around. This means that you can only use them on a limited number of

studied. With the increase in number of people using mobiles, the physical cables used for the
charging of the devices also increased. This increase in demand for the cables led to the idea of
Wireless charging. Wireless charging initially was a novelty but with the advancement in technology,
it has become a mainstream application now. Experiments have been conducted on the various
methods used for the wireless charging and some of the methods are discussed in the paper.

batteries which are used today. Most early cell phones were only able to be used in a vehicle because
they needed such large amounts of battery power. [1] Mobile phone batteries evolved and improved

Impact Of Convenience On Consumer Behavior
Impact of convenience in the mind of consumers in making purchase decisions in Australia
Introduction
There have been drastic changes in the Australian retailing landscape. Though Coles and Woolworths
are still the largest retailers, others like Aldi have made its way in increasing its market share. At the
same time, local convenience stores still continue to function throughout Australia. It indeed comes to
one s mind as to what are the factors that are contributing to such consumer behaviour; whether it is
some special skills of the local convenience stores or whether the prices offered are better (which
seems like a less possible scenario) or is it just the convenience of the stores being located nearby
which makes such model operational even in the wake of intense competition between the majors and
addition of online capacity by new entrants. Given the circumstances, a research based on identifying
existing small scale operations and finding what prompts consumers to purchase from such stores will
indeed give some insight regarding whether convenience plays any important role in purchasing
decisions of consumers in Australia.
Research Aim
The aim of the research is to identify the causes of consumer behaviour in making purchase decisions
from local convenience stores and whether such decisions are related to any forms of convenience or
is it due to other factors.
Research Objectives
The objectives of the research are as below:
1. To study current status of convenience

American Politics And The United States Congress Essay
Over the last several decades, American politics scholars have sought to understand the causes of
increasing partisanship and polarization in the United States Congress. Since the 1970s, the
ideological positions of the two major U.S. parties, the Democratic and Republican parties, have
widened (Abramowitz and Saunders, 2008; Levendusky; 2010). This ideological divide also promotes
a perception among the American public that Congress has increasingly become ineffective and
polarized to a point where political parties in government no longer compromise on policy for the
good of the country. In recent years, a new concern has arisen regarding unlimited spending in
elections by outside groups permitted after the U.S. Supreme Court s decision in Citizens United v.
FEC (2010) and the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals decision in SpeechNOW.org v. FEC (2010) (Mann
and Corroado, 2014). Both decisions allow unlimited independent expenditures for political
advertisements, ad buys, and other electioneering communications during elections. Furthermore,
there is an increase and heightened unease of outside undisclosed donors, or dark money, who may
have undue influences on political, electoral, and policy outcomes (Mann and Corroado, 2014; Federal
Election Commission). Thus, does independent campaign expenditures spend have detrimental or
undue influences on polarization and policy outcomes by promoting more extreme ideological
positions in congressional representation?

Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning
Paralytic shellfish posoning, also called PSP, is a kind of neurotoxin which can cause people who eat
shellfish containing this sick and vomit. There are four kinds of recognized syndromes influenced by
shellfish poisoning, which share several common characteristics and are primarily connected to
bivalve mollusks. These shellfish are filter feeders and, hence, have the ability to accumulate
neurotoxins, called saxitoxin, produced by microscopic algae, such as dinoflagellates, diatoms, and
cyanobacteria.[1] Dinoflagellates of the genus Alexandrium produce the most numerous and
widespread saxitoxin and play an imporatant role in PSP blooms in subarctic, temperate, and tropical
locations. The majority of toxic blooms have been caused by the morphospecies ... Show more content

Mice bioassay is based on that PSP is free soluble in acid solutions and keep stable in heated acid
solutions. When pH is between 2 to 3, PSP is extracted after 5minutes boiling, injected to mice
enterocoelia. After that, the tic paralytic symptom will happen to mice. Finally die. According to the
dead time of mice, judge the toxicity. The principle of physical and chemical analysis is that toxin
molecules are oxidized by alkaline then become fluorescence substance or colored substance. Then
tested by ultraviolet or fluorescence detection system. HPLC is frequently used. With the most
promotional value is immunocytochemical method. PSP is micromolecule and dosen t have
immunogenicity. So it should be linked to marcromolecular carriers, making it to complete antigen.
Usually adopt small dose and long period immune scheme to produce CPV McAb. This method has a

Compare and Contrast the Northern and Italian Renaissance
Italian High Renaissance artists achieved ideal of harmony and balance comparable with the works of
ancient Greece or Rome. Renaissance Classicism was a form of art that removed the extraneous detail
and showed the world as it was. Forms, colors and proportions, light and shade effects, spatial
harmony, composition, perspective, anatomy all are handled with total control and a level of
accomplishment for which there are no real precedents.
Leonardo da Vinci was a Florentine artist, one of the great masters of the High Renaissance, who was
also celebrated as a painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, and scientist. Leonardo fuses his subject with
the landscape behind her by means of light. He called this technique sfumato ( smokiness) ... Show

Although Michelangelo s David embodies the athletic ideal of antiquity in its muscularity, here the
male nude implies, as it had in classical antiquity, heroic or even divine qualities. David also
represents the power of right over might.
Raphael Sanzio or Raffaello was an Italian master painter and architect of the Florentine school in
High Renaissance, celebrated for the perfection and grace of his paintings. He was also called
Raffaello Sanzio, Raffaello Santi, Raffaello da Urbino or Rafael Sanzio da Urbino. He moved to
Florence at the age of 20, where he was exposed to Leonardo da Vinci, whom he never ceased to
admire as a mentor and father figure , and to Michelangelo. Raphael learned from both men, but while
he made use of their exploration of human anatomy, he added sentiment to his paintings. He was
commissioned by Julius II to paint some of the rooms at his palace at the Vatican. This marked a
turning point, and he was only twenty five years old. He remained almost exclusively in the service of
Julius and his successor Leo X. He painted a series of frescoes in the papal apartments as well as those
of the Stanza della Segnatura, which include his vast School of Athens.
Between 1520 and 1600 a growing dissatisfaction with classical techniques and styles led artists
towards developing a new movement later called

My Search For Going To College
What do you mean I cannot live with my parents for the rest of my life? So you mean to tell me that I
actually have to become an adult? . These have been the thoughts plaguing my mind for the past four
years and now that my time is up, I get to do something about them. My main problem with going to
college is being away from my home, my family, and my friends. I knew that if I were to pick the
wrong college, I would be running back to my mom in a weeks time. Finding the right college is a
universal challenge for every upcoming college student, but when I found Baylor University I knew it
was my new home.
My hunt for the perfect college started my freshmen year of high school. During that time in my life, I
felt there was a big weight on my shoulders to be successful in life. Since picking the right college is a
big part of being successful, I was feeling overwhelmed. There are about 1,400 colleges in the United
States and I had to narrow that down to a top five, frantic was an understatement about how I was
feeling. Taking a step back to look at the big picture, I decided to evaluate what I was looking for in a
college; I came up with the following list: have my desired major (Astrophysics), be far away from
home (but not too far), and to live in a big city.
Applying my new set of criteria, I now only had 3 colleges to choose from: University of Texas at
Austin, Rice University, and Baylor University. I gave my contact information to each of them and in
time I had a scheduled visit to Baylor University.
When I arrived on the Baylor campus I immediately felt at home. I had the honor of attending the
Baylor Premier, which acts like a huge campus tour for everyone that attends the seminar.
Everybody was so genuinely nice and enthusiastic about me being there, I got the feeling that was
where I belonged. I could see myself walking the campus with my newly found friends on the way to
our The Atomic Theory 101 class. Although I have a tendency of letting my head float in the sky, I had
to snap myself out of my dreamland and back into reality to remember that I still had two other
options for my perfect college. Not wanting to make my decision after only seeing one school I
scheduled campus tours with The

Linux Network Name Spaces
Overview
In this paper we will discuss the Linux Network Name Space. First, the concept of namespaces will be
described along with an overview of the default name spaces available in the Linux operating system.
The Linux Network Name Space is a key enabler for some high profile virtualization technologies
including OpenStack and Docker.
Linux Name Spaces
Linux consists of the following six namespaces:
Network Network Namespace
PID Process Namespace
Mount Filesystem Namespace
User User Namespace
IPC Interprocess Communication Namespace
UTS Host and NIS Namespace
Linux namespaces can be traced back to early UNIX technologies called chroot, process jails
controlled where access is controlled with cgroups. The concept of a namespace is to isolate processes
from other processes on the system. This concept evolved into namespaces that are created with
clone() system call and manipulated with the setns() and unshare() system calls. The clone() system
call is used when creating child namespace from a parent or root namespace. As the name would
suggest this creates a clone of an existing stack. The setns() system call is used to join a namespace.
The unshare() system call is used for moving processes into a namespace, as the name suggests the
process

Dodge Ram Loan Research Paper
For my car project, I picked a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500. This truck would come in handy for hauling a
trailer or a camper. I chose to finance my Dodge Ram through Salin Bank with 4.29% and 3 years
because, paying off my truck faster will lead me to having more money to spend. This truck has 4
wheel drive, 5 seats, and a touchable radio. It also comes with a decent size bed for equipment. Thus,
these things are nice luxury items in my truck I picked. By choosing the loan from Salin Bank, I will
be able to pay off my car faster and use my money for other important essentials. Loan 4 is Salin Bank
and I would pay $1661.81 per month. With this payment I can spread out my money for other things.
Some people may not do the same loan if they do not make enough money. In other cases, people may
choose Personal Finance Bank Trust at 5.99% and 4.5 years or Salin Bank for 6.99% and 5 years.
People may choose between these two because it is the middle of being the lowest and highest of the
loans. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

I Clearly Remember My Last Moment As An Undergraduate...
I clearly remember my last moment as an undergraduate student. I had just finished my last exam for
the semester, and as I checked back over my test I reflected on my college experience. In just 7
semesters I had attended 4 different colleges, lived in 4 different cities, had 9 different jobs, took a
semester off for a competitive internship, and still managed to graduate a semester early. But of
course, it s kind of a long story.
Throughout high school my family always supported me and encouraged me to do my best, but never
pushed me to strive for a college education. I knew I wanted to go to college, but I was uncertain and
scared of the process. As a junior I applied to Chicago Scholars whose mission it was to help
minorities and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before the rug had been pulled on my U of I plans, I had applied to the competitive Disney College
Program in Florida. I learned of my acceptance at the perfect time, and committed to spend the next
semester in Florida. This was a great opportunity for me to network with some of the most ambitious
college students from around the world while I learned a lot.
While my internship with Disney provided me with the opportunity to transition to whatever was next,
it unfortunately did nothing to help my financial situation, and I found myself back at home. Living
with my dad in Chicago I worked 60 70 hours a week and completed 22 credit hours at my local
community college. During this time I pushed myself to not let circumstances hold me back and
decided to be relentless in chasing my goals. Despite taking a semester off for Disney, I received my
Associates degree on time. At a college fair, I learned about Loras College and prepared to continue
my BA at Loras in Dubuque, IA.
I started at Loras in Fall of 2014 and eagerly threw myself into the academia and school involvement
that I had been desperate for since U of I. After arriving in Iowa, I became involved with Dr. Julia
Omarzu s research team, worked part time at a Jimmy Johns and the school Library, volunteered in
Dubuque elementary schools, worked as a math tutor in a high school, did trail maintenance for a
nature preserve, and crocheted and donated baby

the angels and committing to him dominion over the earth. But he approached the forbidden fruit, led
by selfish desires and ambitions...He freed us by his redeeming passion and on this same Friday

In the Shimo (divine office) of the Malankara Catholic Church there is typological presentation of
Mary almost every day. In Malankara Catholic Liturgy we find three important typologies of Mary
namely Mary as Mother of God, Mary as the Holy Virgin and Mary as our intercessor. The Mother of
God typology are Chariot of Ezekiel , the ark of the covenant , the pot containing Manna , the rod of
Aaron , the new jar of Elisha and the rock that produced water . An example from Shimo illustrates
this below.
In the law and in prophecy Moses, the head of the prophets: represented the figure of the blessed
mother, by ark of the law and the pot of manna, and by the staff of Aaron which budded within the
holy of holies, and by the dew and the flee of Gideon and by the new jar of Eliseus and by the light
cloud of the glorious Isaiah. (Shimo; Subaho; Ramsho on Wednesday; 3rd qolo; 2nd Para)
The Virginity typology of Mary are the burning bush that Moses saw , closed door of the chariot of
Ezekiel , flee of Gideon , the closed garden and the sealed fountain of Solomon . The following extract
from Shimo illustrates Virginity typology of Mary.

Roberts (2006), suggested that it has its roots in Greek and was later used by the French (diplomatie)
to refer to the work of a negotiator on behalf of a sovereign. There is a long history of diplomatic
activity going back at least two millennia. Sovereigns sent envoys to other sovereigns for various
reasons: to prevent wars, to cease hostilities, or merely to continue peaceful relations and further
economic exchanges. The first foreign ministry was created in Paris by Cardinal Richelieu in 1626.
Other European countries followed the French example. As absolute monarchs gave way to
constitutional monarchies and republics, embassies and legations became more institutionalized all

throughout the world.
The ability to practice diplomacy is one of the defining elements of a state. Diplomacy has been

Frankenstein as a Critique of Mary Shelley s Society Essay
Frankenstein as a Critique of Mary Shelley s Society
Nature plays a large role in the novel, Frankenstein , both as the natural world and human nature. The
book is clearly not a story of fun and happiness. It is a sad but beautiful story of the need for love and
acceptance in society. This reflects a lot on
Mary Shelley s life, as you can tell from the language used in the text that she is writing from
experience in many parts of the book. Civilization in the days of Mary Shelley is very similar to
modern day society, in certain respects, such as the significant presence of justice and fear of the
unknown both of which play important and pivotal roles in Frankenstein .

Although it is almost impossible to avoid making these snap decisions, they can almost always be
changed later on, and put right once you get to know the person. Everyone wants to be accepted for
who they are, regardless of appearances or stature, however this is not always the case. This can be
related to the treatment the monster receives upon meeting other people. He is not the norm , and is
undoubtedly ugly to look at, but that does not make him a bad person. Shelley manages to show this in
such a way that the reader feels sorry for the monster, but we can see that it is something that is
unlikely to change, as it is a normal part of society and human nature. Shelley shows her disgust at this
harsh treatment through the monster s feelings, which are shared with Victor later on in the book, and
it is as if the author is pouring out her emotions, rather than the monster s.
The hideous figure, the disfigured stature of this monster is the first thing noticed by Victor
Frankenstein. His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles. This reference to the monster s
yellow skin depicts the same behaviour conducted in modern day racism. The colour of one s skin
does not dictate the intelligence, attitude and personality of a person. Regardless of the yellow skin of
the monster,

Gimpel the Fool
There are a variety of different conclusions that one can reach in interpreting the story of Gimpel the
Fool. The story draws its roots from the deep Yiddish background of the author, Isaac Bashevis Singer,
and it deals with the traditional ―fool‖ archetype dealt with so often in the culture. The very archetype
is plagued with irony, as the fool is typically seen as coming out on top of all of the others in the story,
making them seem as the fool rather than the ―fool‖ himself. Gimpel the Fool follows the archetype
well. In some instances, the idea of this particular archetype can be frustrating, as the typical reader
may want the main character to get the revenge he deserves. This is rarely the case, as in doing so, it

The Dysfunctional American Dream in Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller
In the American society, it is thought that if you work hard, no matter what circumstances, you can
become rich and powerful. You can overcome deep poverty to become the richest man alive. This
superhuman absurdity is what is referred to as the American Dream. Day after day, Americans struggle
to achieve fame and prosperity, only to find failure and heartbreak. The American Dream in today s
society is dead and is proven several times through plays, poetry, and essays.

The Beach Research Paper
Whoever is last to the beach is getting thrown in the water my sister hollered as the cab door opened.
My friends and I all glanced at each other and sprinted out of the car because the last thing we wanted
to do is get wet and stay like that for the next 5 hours or so of the day. Even before my feet touched
the sand, I can see the tan coarse blanket that runs along the silky blue ocean. With every breath that I
inhale, I smell the salt and as I get close and closer to the beach I feel the warm breeze. As soon as I
touched the sand, my feet sank in it, and all the little grains of sand went through my toes, forming a
perfect mold. With every step I took, I also felt something sharp poking my bare feet. When I looked
down I saw a spiral, miniature seashell that was pointing its rough edges to the surface of the sand.

The Asch Conformity Experiment
Humans often act in ways they know to be incorrect or wrong for their own social benefit, often
because we fear being different. One example of this is the Asch Conformity Experiment, where 75%
of participants would choose the wrong answer on an obvious question just to not stand out from the
crowd. After the experiment, all said they felt self conscious and feared disapproval from the group.
Another example is when those in a social group have preferences or choices differ from the rest of
the group, they will often conform to the rest of the group s opinion. Nobody wants to be the only
person to dislike a certain food or think a certain way, they fear they will be judged negatively for it.
As social creatures, we seek for and strive other

Reality Tv Phenomenon Essay
One of the most famous quotes from 1982 Nobel Prize winning chemist Aaron Klug is, Human
curiosity, the urge to know, is a powerful force and is perhaps the best secret weapon of all in the
struggle to unravel the workings of the natural world. But in the modern world we live in today, where
the media has become an indispensable source for information, has human curiosity been given too
much power? Reality television has become its own phenomenon through the human craving for
social survival, stimulation, and self justification. Through thorough research, it is discovered that
these three inner desires with which we all live are the main sources of fuel for the Reality TV
Phenomenon.
As humans, we naturally strive to find status in society. We have an innate wanting to be noticed by
our peers. Reality television is now seen as a gateway to participation in ... Show more content on

American psychologist Leon Festinger s Social Comparison Theory states that We determine our own
social and personal worth based on how we stack up against others. As a result, we are constantly
making comparisons between us and others. This theory comes into play in analyses of reality
television s popularity because it is something viewers habitually do when they are watching reality
shows. Seeing the stars of a show engage in violent fights and horrid screaming matches gives viewers
justification for the life they are living. If you were to ask several people who watch reality shows why
they routinely do it, a majority would say it either makes them feel better about themselves or the
stupidity of the show gives their mind a break, the former response being the most popular. According
to one study, 19% of 18 24 year old viewers use reality tv as a self esteem boost. This self justification
is so prevalent because it is humanity s involuntary weakness to look for

Villa Rica Christian Church
On the fifth of February, I went to my church, Villa Rica Christian Church. In my church, there is a
nursery for kids ranging from birth to two. The first toy was a rectangular box that has shaped holes
on the lid. On the lid, there are four shapes triangle, square, star, and circle. The second toy, is a panel
with four different popups of Sesame Street characters. To trigger the popup, a kid has to either turn,
press, or push a button. The third toy is a child like abacus with five rows of beads that vary by colors
red, yellow, blue, green, and orange.
In the nursery, I examined toys aimed at the sensorimotor stage of cognitive development. This stage
includes actions based on reflexes and the transition to actions based on intentions. Actions that are
satisfying are repeated by the child through a process called primary circular reactions. Soon after this
first stage, the child moves on to the secondary circular reactions or actions that have an effect on the
environment. After experiencing both of these kind of reactions, the child then advances into more
intentional actions. The child begins to have goal directed behavior and curiosity which leads to
experimenting. Lastly, the child will begin to understand symbolic problem solving and object
permanence.

Olympic Games A Waste Of Money
Are major sporting events like the Olympic Games a waste of money?
Are the Olympic Games a waste of money? The Olympic Games are an international event where
athletes from every country come together to compete. Many fans and spectators attend this event to
cheer for their country. The number of spectators keeps on increasing every four years as the event
gets more popular. As this is an international event the cost of hosting it is huge. The total output of
the 1976 Montreal Games was $1.48 billion whilst the 2012 London Games was a total of $14.6
billion. Stadiums are built for different disciplines, national representatives are invited to perform in
the opening and closing ceremony, as a result the stadiums need a high level of security. Where the
hosting country receives the money from, whom it will benefit and what it does to the country, will be
the three main points I will be covering in this essay. Initially, to host the Olympic Games, the country
must have the money to afford them, but where does it come from? One could say it s from the public
while another says it s from sponsors. According to The Guardian both of these statements are correct,

Analysis Of The Short Story Through The Tunnel
Yet, walking down the path with her, he blurted out, I d like to go and have a look at those rocks down
there, (Lessing 1). During the short story, Through the Tunnel, Lessing shows that Jerry has an interest
in breaking away from his mother early on in the story. He shows a passion for wanting to go to the
wild bay, instead of staying with his mother at the safe beach for their vacation. Jerry s transformation
from boy to a young man is revealed in the settings of the safe beach, wild bay, and the journey
through the tunnel. Since a young age, Jerry has always gone to the safe beach with his mother. As
told in the story, he is starting to get more mature and is experiencing his coming of age. The safe
beach represents him as not being as independent as when he travels to the wild bay alone. Next
morning, when it was time for the routine of swimming and sunbathing, his mother said, Are you tired
of the usual beach, Jerry? Would you like to go somewhere else (Lessing 1). Jerry s mother is willing
to allow Jerry to break away, but he is still quite nervous. The safe beach represents Jerry as a young
boy, a time in which he wants to separate from his mother, yet is apprehensive. It seemed to him that a
long time has passed, and he swam to where he could see his mother.... There she was, a speck of
yellow under an umbrella that looked like a slice of orange peel (Lessing 2). Jerry was nervous about

I Have A Dream Speech Analysis
54 years ago, Martin Luther King Jr delivered his famous I have a dream speech , which along with
Lincoln s Gettysburg address are examples of the best oratory works. The two speeches were critical
to the growth and development of America. They come from two men from different backgrounds and
different times but with one common goal, equality for all.
Standing on the same spot as Lincoln did five score years ago, King preached similar themes of
justice, equality and freedom. Lincolns speech was a eulogy to those who died in the battle of
Gettysburg, at the time America was at civil war. Lincoln spoke to a crowd of thousands to inspire
them to keep fighting the war. In comparison to King, who stood before a crowd of over 200,000
people at the Lincoln memorial and shared his dream of a new future for black Americans. The
context of each address has a profound impact upon their purpose and qualities. One distinct quality of
Lincolns speech is that it is structured in chronological order, with each of the three separate
paragraphs encompassing the past, present and future. This is a device used by Lincoln to build up his
audience s attention to the speeches climatic end. This can be compared to Kings structural approach,
where he uses a ladder technique to construct his points in order of ascending importance. Once again
ending strongly with the line: Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty we are free at last! Both
methods of structure of the speeches assist in

Taking a Look at Four-Dimensionalism
Four dimensionalism is often seen in the field of metaphysics as a strong and sound solution to many
puzzles. Whether that s the Antinomy of Constitution, the Ship of Theseus, or the Paradox of Increase,
four dimensionalism always appears as a probable solution. But, four dimensionalism is not the all
powerful solution it appears to be at first glance. The theory itself has many repercussions if it is taken
to be true, leading me to dispute its overall validity. So what exactly is the four dimensional theory?
To begin, we must understand what the dimensions of our world are. We experience the first three
dimensions on a daily basis; namely, length, width, and height. These three dimensions are typically
referred to as the spatial dimensions. The next, fourth, dimension is then considered to be time. We
cannot specifically see time but we know that time is continually moving forward and we are subject
to its progression. Four dimensionalism then exclaims that objects consist of all four dimensions,
splitting objects into spatial and temporal parts. We see the spatial components when we look at an
object but the temporal component is harder to see. Essentially, the four dimensionalist believes that
an object is never wholly present at one instance in time but rather consists of the spatial components
and all of the temporal components. This is seen as the theory of perdurance and is accepted by four
dimensionalists (Lewis). So when we hold an object, say a

SURROGATE MOTHERHOOD CHANGING PARADIGM IN INDIAN SOCIAL
SCENARIO
In all cultures of the world, motherhood is something which is considered to lie at the heart of the
meaning of love. The concept of a woman s love for her children is viewed as the most powerful,
ferocious, tender and unconditional love that exists. Motherhood for Indian women is a
psychospiritual phenomena and not just a psychosexual one. This psychospiritual meaning of all the
institutions of socialization, particularly marriage of which a child is the outcome, makes the Indian
context different from other societies. The preparation for mother baby interactions begin much before
a woman actually attains motherhood. Now the term motherhood is expanded to the surrogate
motherhood, which means that a women helps women i.e. if any women, couple cannot conceive on

Classical Conditioning Association Psychology
The classical conditioning association was made between the child and the dog. The bark of the dog is
the unconditional stimulus (US) which has caused distress to the child who now exhibits a fear of dogs
which would be the unconditional response (UR). The fear of the dog (UR) is what needs to be
changed so the child will no longer be afraid of dogs. I associated the barking of the dog (US) to the
fear of dogs by the child (UR) because every time the dog barked the child showed some sort of
anxiety either by crying, running away or hiding behind the couch. This means that an event in the
situation has produced an action which has not been learned and so it is a natural response that has not
been taught. This would be considered the before conditioning ... Show more content on

The responses created during classical conditioning are uncontrolled and are automatically made by
the human or animal being conditioned or trained. This also means that the feedback you receive from
the subject is not aware of his or her response for example when a dog salivates at the sight of food
this is uncontrolled and automatic. The child cried, ran away, and hid at the sight of the dog, his/her
responses were involuntary and were not taught to them, showing why this aspect of classical
conditioning shows why human development is based on nature. The aspect of classical conditioning
that shows that human development is based on nurture are the environmental influences from parents,
friends, teachers and anyone else they may come in contact with. Any classical conditioning that leads
to a conditioned response is related to the nurture aspect of classical conditioning. The child or animal
have acquired or learned the said behavior. An example of nurture could be the Little Albert

Antibodies of the Nipah virus have been found in the sera of fruit bats, which have been collected in

Vera Barantsov s Disillusionment In Russia

many young Russians that grew disaffected they saw the reforms as being to little too late and that

Second, find out who your audience will be. Remember you do not get to choose the group of people

Essay on Variety in The Merchant s Tale
Use of Variety in The Merchant s Tale
The Merchant s Tale tells the story of an old man searching for a wife and finding one, who is
ultimately unfaithful to him. Chaucer uses a variety of elements in the poem to show his knowledge of
contemporary interests and his story telling capacity through another figure. Irony flows through the
poem, laced with allusions to the Bible. Chaucer s use of his astronomical knowledge not only allows
modern day scholars to date events, but also adds another dimension of interest for the contemporary
audience and of course, the pilgrims.

Chaucer s knowledge of astronomy becomes evident at many points during the poem and has been
useful for modern scholars wishing to date the Tale. The wedding day has been put down as Lady Day,
25th March 1392. Discussion of astronomy and the sky brings forth more elaborate language as on the
evening of the wedding day, the phrase Parfourned as the sonne his ark diourne (l.583) introduces the
next events of the day. In addition to this, there is always another dimension to the story. The wedding
of Januarie and May takes place when Mars and Venus are in conjunction. This combination of the
warring god and the god of love cannot bode well for the marriage, especially combined with the
heavily ironic emphasis on Januarie s concern for having his Heaven on Earth.
The marriage of May and Januarie brings attention to their names. While the spring month of May is
full of life, the winter month of January is a new beginning (to the year), but still contains the cold
deadness of winter. Eventually, spring defeats winter. There is a stark contrast between the characters
of May and Januarie. The latter s roughness is especially focused upon on the wedding night. His skin
is Lyk to the skyn of houndfyssh and there is an almost repulsive focus on his appearance. May is a
much livelier, younger character and so Damyan, the lovesick squire seems

Howard s Utopia Essay
The notion of Garden City , famously explored by Ebenezer Howard was a solution intended to bring
together the economic and cultural advantages of both city and country living. He sees it as an
alternative to the congested urban areas in England. Canberra the capital city of Australia differs from
the garden city proper, a city that is perhaps not what Howard wished garden city to be. Nonetheless
Canberra is a city that incorporates many of the garden city principles and in this essay I will argue
that Canberra indeed is a garden city, as Canberra is build on central garden city concepts such as
public ownership of land, limited growth and population in the city and a balance between town and
country. Whilst Canberra may not be a true ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, this system did not benefits citizens in any collective ways and is gradually been abolished
(Czamanski and Benchetrit 2004). Howard s vision of social reform achieved through community
ownership of land never materialised. While Canberra was deeply touched by his idea, yet the direct
economic impact is some what minimal.
Garden city was subject to limited growth and limited population. Howard (1965) anticipated that the
garden city would have a population of 30,000 32,000 in the town and other 2,000 in the agricultural
lands. When the city reaches its limits, it would replicate itself in a new community separated by a
greenbelt yet connected by railways. The published sketch in figure 1 suggests the garden city to be
circular, though Howard (1965) conceded that the shape was suggestive. Canberra was not expected to
be a large city. Still, Griffin planned the city for 45,000, this was reached by 1960. By 1965 it was
78,000 and in 2004 the population was around 330,000. The population is anticipated to grow to
500,000 in the next 25 years. (Firth n.d) This does not show any indication of limited population that
Howard wants in the garden city. Nevertheless, the National Capital Development Commission (1984)
did took the ideas of Howard s garden city growth concept refined it and developed the Y Plan as a
strategy to cope with Canberra s long term

The 1950 s And The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)
Racing has been around for many years. People are addicted to the speed and the configuration of
racing. Racing has proven to be a great way to get people together and race cars or according to the
video even horses. Racing has come extremely far, as it used to be illegal to do and now people are
making a living off of it. According to the video, the year of 1949 was the first organized drag race
ever. The racing environment was extremely different then than now. Back then, there were no entry
fees or safety precautions taken. Now there are huge entry fees and may requirements that must be
met for the race car and driver to ensure safety. Racing exploded in the 1950 s and the National Hot
Rod Association (NHRA) was created to ensure that there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This would ensure that the racing was protected, and it is still around today. The NHRA helped gain
respect for drag racing. I think that the NHRA was a great start for racing. It helped organize races and
make it more respectable to people who may not understand the love and passion some have for
racing. The NHRA used their safety safari to go all over the country to hot rod races, teaching them
everything from selling tickets to the safety of racing the hot rods. I think that this really helped racing
take off. These people have now learned how to make the sport safer and gain money in order to
proceed with their passion for racing. This also helped the racers gain sponsors such as Coca Cola and
Pepsi. Racing relies off of sponsors now. There has been so many technological advancements in
racing, that not the average person can afford to go out and be competitive enough to win without
help. When I think about sponsors for racing, almost every single huge corporation sponsors some sort
of race car. The racers are helping the sponsors get more business, while the sponsors support the race
car driver so they can make it to the track. My family has a deep history in open wheel dirt track
racing, and they would not have been able to compete for so long without the help of sponsors. Racing
had now become some people s way of making a living. They were able to make enough money to
support themselves, but still struggled trying to get to and from each race. The NHRA toured to
England to expand the racing dream to people all over the world. I think this was a great move by the
NHRA because the more people that are interested the more money involved. This video only proves
that racing is advancing and becoming more enjoyed all over the

  • 2. Disadvantages Of Binoculars Most people normally like touring places at one time or another. You will note that most tourist normally buy a pair of binoculars among other things. • 4. Impact Of Convenience On Consumer Behavior Impact of convenience in the mind of consumers in making purchase decisions in Australia Introduction There have been drastic changes in the Australian retailing landscape. Though Coles and Woolworths are still the largest retailers, others like Aldi have made its way in increasing its market share. At the same time, local convenience stores still continue to function throughout Australia. It indeed comes to one s mind as to what are the factors that are contributing to such consumer behaviour; whether it is some special skills of the local convenience stores or whether the prices offered are better (which seems like a less possible scenario) or is it just the convenience of the stores being located nearby which makes such model operational even in the wake of intense competition between the majors and addition of online capacity by new entrants. Given the circumstances, a research based on identifying existing small scale operations and finding what prompts consumers to purchase from such stores will indeed give some insight regarding whether convenience plays any important role in purchasing decisions of consumers in Australia. Research Aim The aim of the research is to identify the causes of consumer behaviour in making purchase decisions from local convenience stores and whether such decisions are related to any forms of convenience or is it due to other factors. Research Objectives The objectives of the research are as below: 1. To study current status of convenience ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. American Politics And The United States Congress Essay Over the last several decades, American politics scholars have sought to understand the causes of increasing partisanship and polarization in the United States Congress. Since the 1970s, the ideological positions of the two major U.S. parties, the Democratic and Republican parties, have widened (Abramowitz and Saunders, 2008; Levendusky; 2010). This ideological divide also promotes a perception among the American public that Congress has increasingly become ineffective and polarized to a point where political parties in government no longer compromise on policy for the good of the country. In recent years, a new concern has arisen regarding unlimited spending in elections by outside groups permitted after the U.S. Supreme Court s decision in Citizens United v. FEC (2010) and the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals decision in SpeechNOW.org v. FEC (2010) (Mann and Corroado, 2014). Both decisions allow unlimited independent expenditures for political advertisements, ad buys, and other electioneering communications during elections. Furthermore, there is an increase and heightened unease of outside undisclosed donors, or dark money, who may have undue influences on political, electoral, and policy outcomes (Mann and Corroado, 2014; Federal Election Commission). Thus, does independent campaign expenditures spend have detrimental or undue influences on polarization and policy outcomes by promoting more extreme ideological positions in congressional representation? ... These have been the thoughts plaguing my mind for the past four years and now that my time is up, I get to do something about them. My main problem with going to college is being away from my home, my family, and my friends. I knew that if I were to pick the wrong college, I would be running back to my mom in a weeks time. Finding the right college is a universal challenge for every upcoming college student, but when I found Baylor University I knew it was my new home. My hunt for the perfect college started my freshmen year of high school. During that time in my life, I felt there was a big weight on my shoulders to be successful in life. Since picking the right college is a big part of being successful, I was feeling overwhelmed. There are about 1,400 colleges in the United States and I had to narrow that down to a top five, frantic was an understatement about how I was feeling. Taking a step back to look at the big picture, I decided to evaluate what I was looking for in a college; I came up with the following list: have my desired major (Astrophysics), be far away from home (but not too far), and to live in a big city. Applying my new set of criteria, I now only had 3 colleges to choose from: University of Texas at Austin, Rice University, and Baylor University. I gave my contact information to each of them and in time I had a scheduled visit to Baylor University. When I arrived on the Baylor campus I immediately felt at home. I had the honor of attending the Baylor Premier, which acts like a huge campus tour for everyone that attends the seminar. Everybody was so genuinely nice and enthusiastic about me being there, I got the feeling that was where I belonged. I could see myself walking the campus with my newly found friends on the way to our The Atomic Theory 101 class. First, the concept of namespaces will be described along with an overview of the default name spaces available in the Linux operating system. The Linux Network Name Space is a key enabler for some high profile virtualization technologies including OpenStack and Docker. Linux Name Spaces Linux consists of the following six namespaces: Network Network Namespace PID Process Namespace Mount Filesystem Namespace User User Namespace IPC Interprocess Communication Namespace UTS Host and NIS Namespace Linux namespaces can be traced back to early UNIX technologies called chroot, process jails controlled where access is controlled with cgroups. The concept of a namespace is to isolate processes from other processes on the system. This concept evolved into namespaces that are created with clone() system call and manipulated with the setns() and unshare() system calls. The clone() system call is used when creating child namespace from a parent or root namespace. As the name would suggest this creates a clone of an existing stack. The book is clearly not a story of fun and happiness. It is a sad but beautiful story of the need for love and acceptance in society. This reflects a lot on Mary Shelley s life, as you can tell from the language used in the text that she is writing from experience in many parts of the book. This can be related to the treatment the monster receives upon meeting other people. He is not the norm , and is undoubtedly ugly to look at, but that does not make him a bad person. Shelley manages to show this in such a way that the reader feels sorry for the monster, but we can see that it is something that is unlikely to change, as it is a normal part of society and human nature. The story draws its roots from the deep Yiddish background of the author, Isaac Bashevis Singer, and it deals with the traditional ―fool‖ archetype dealt with so often in the culture. The very archetype is plagued with irony, as the fool is typically seen as coming out on top of all of the others in the story, making them seem as the fool rather than the ―fool‖ himself. One example of this is the Asch Conformity Experiment, where 75% of participants would choose the wrong answer on an obvious question just to not stand out from the crowd. After the experiment, all said they felt self conscious and feared disapproval from the group. • 24. Reality Tv Phenomenon Essay One of the most famous quotes from 1982 Nobel Prize winning chemist Aaron Klug is, Human curiosity, the urge to know, is a powerful force and is perhaps the best secret weapon of all in the struggle to unravel the workings of the natural world. But in the modern world we live in today, where the media has become an indispensable source for information, has human curiosity been given too much power? Reality television has become its own phenomenon through the human craving for social survival, stimulation, and self justification. Through thorough research, it is discovered that these three inner desires with which we all live are the main sources of fuel for the Reality TV Phenomenon. As a result, we are constantly making comparisons between us and others. Seeing the stars of a show engage in violent fights and horrid screaming matches gives viewers justification for the life they are living. If you were to ask several people who watch reality shows why they routinely do it, a majority would say it either makes them feel better about themselves or the stupidity of the show gives their mind a break, the former response being the most popular. The first toy was a rectangular box that has shaped holes on the lid. On the lid, there are four shapes triangle, square, star, and circle. The second toy, is a panel with four different popups of Sesame Street characters. To trigger the popup, a kid has to either turn, press, or push a button. The third toy is a child like abacus with five rows of beads that vary by colors red, yellow, blue, green, and orange. In the nursery, I examined toys aimed at the sensorimotor stage of cognitive development. This stage includes actions based on reflexes and the transition to actions based on intentions. Actions that are satisfying are repeated by the child through a process called primary circular reactions. Soon after this first stage, the child moves on to the secondary circular reactions or actions that have an effect on the environment. After experiencing both of these kind of reactions, the child then advances into more intentional actions. The child begins to have goal directed behavior and curiosity which leads to experimenting. During the short story, Through the Tunnel, Lessing shows that Jerry has an interest in breaking away from his mother early on in the story. He shows a passion for wanting to go to the wild bay, instead of staying with his mother at the safe beach for their vacation. Jerry s transformation from boy to a young man is revealed in the settings of the safe beach, wild bay, and the journey through the tunnel. Since a young age, Jerry has always gone to the safe beach with his mother. As told in the story, he is starting to get more mature and is experiencing his coming of age. I Have A Dream Speech Analysis 54 years ago, Martin Luther King Jr delivered his famous I have a dream speech , which along with Lincoln s Gettysburg address are examples of the best oratory works. The two speeches were critical to the growth and development of America. They come from two men from different backgrounds and different times but with one common goal, equality for all. Standing on the same spot as Lincoln did five score years ago, King preached similar themes of justice, equality and freedom. Lincolns speech was a eulogy to those who died in the battle of Gettysburg, at the time America was at civil war. Lincoln spoke to a crowd of thousands to inspire them to keep fighting the war. In comparison to King, who stood before a crowd of over 200,000 people at the Lincoln memorial and shared his dream of a new future for black Americans. The context of each address has a profound impact upon their purpose and qualities. One distinct quality of Lincolns speech is that it is structured in chronological order, with each of the three separate paragraphs encompassing the past, present and future. This is a device used by Lincoln to build up his audience s attention to the speeches climatic end. Whether that s the Antinomy of Constitution, the Ship of Theseus, or the Paradox of Increase, four dimensionalism always appears as a probable solution. But, four dimensionalism is not the all powerful solution it appears to be at first glance. The theory itself has many repercussions if it is taken to be true, leading me to dispute its overall validity. So what exactly is the four dimensional theory? To begin, we must understand what the dimensions of our world are. We experience the first three dimensions on a daily basis; namely, length, width, and height. These three dimensions are typically referred to as the spatial dimensions. The next, fourth, dimension is then considered to be time. We cannot specifically see time but we know that time is continually moving forward and we are subject to its progression. Four dimensionalism then exclaims that objects consist of all four dimensions, splitting objects into spatial and temporal parts. We see the spatial components when we look at an object but the temporal component is harder to see. Essentially, the four dimensionalist believes that an object is never wholly present at one instance in time but rather consists of the spatial components and all of the temporal components. This is seen as the theory of perdurance and is accepted by four dimensionalists (Lewis). So when we hold an object, say a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Motherhood for Indian women is a psychospiritual phenomena and not just a psychosexual one. This psychospiritual meaning of all the institutions of socialization, particularly marriage of which a child is the outcome, makes the Indian context different from other societies. The bark of the dog is the unconditional stimulus (US) which has caused distress to the child who now exhibits a fear of dogs which would be the unconditional response (UR). The fear of the dog (UR) is what needs to be changed so the child will no longer be afraid of dogs. I associated the barking of the dog (US) to the fear of dogs by the child (UR) because every time the dog barked the child showed some sort of anxiety either by crying, running away or hiding behind the couch. This means that an event in the situation has produced an action which has not been learned and so it is a natural response that has not been taught. The child cried, ran away, and hid at the sight of the dog, his/her responses were involuntary and were not taught to them, showing why this aspect of classical conditioning shows why human development is based on nature. The aspect of classical conditioning that shows that human development is based on nurture are the environmental influences from parents, friends, teachers and anyone else they may come in contact with. Garden city was subject to limited growth and limited population. Howard (1965) anticipated that the garden city would have a population of 30,000 32,000 in the town and other 2,000 in the agricultural lands. When the city reaches its limits, it would replicate itself in a new community separated by a greenbelt yet connected by railways.
