- 2. Process • I first begun recording my voice in a audio software called ‘Audacity’. The recording process was very easy, I recorded each paragraph separately, and was able to cut out any audio that I did not like or audio that was bad. The microphone I was using was able to pick up my voice very clearly, and I was lucky enough to not run into any technical problems. Once my audio recordings were complete, I exported the audio to MP3, and went on to editing.
- 3. Process • After my audio recordings were complete, I then begun the editing process. I first begun by ordering and syncing my audio clips. Syncing the clips and making them sound like one long clip was also fairly simple. After cutting and syncing my audio, I then proceeded to add the appropriate music that I had chosen for my story, and also made that fit the audio.
- 4. Process • When I was adding the music to the audio recording, I had to make sure that the music synced with audio, for example, during a tension building part of my audio, I had to have tension building music. Throughout the beginning of the story I used very calm, but creepy music, to set the tone of the story and towards the end of the story I used very dramatic and tense music.
- 5. Process • I next started to add sound effects to my audio. It was a lot easier to add after I had finished syncing the music, and I was able to get the sound effects from YouTube, as well as making some of my own. Making the sound effects play at the right time was also fairly easy, however I did run into a problem where one of the sound effects would cut every time I played it, so I had to re- record the sound effect and it worked.
- 6. Process • After all of my audio was complete, I went through and listened to it to see if it sounded right and how I intended. If there were some missing / badly placed audio I took care of it, and after I went through and refined my audio, I exported it as an MP3. I did however run into a problem where my audio would sound different / miss placed after I had rendered it, so I went back each time changing little things to fix it, and then it was complete.
