Production Reflection
Alfie Pimblett
Process
• The first thing I did
when I started my
final project was cut
up the audio and get
all of my recordings
that I require for this
project together, I
recorded a short
podcast about an
unsolved case.
Process
• After I merged my
audio recordings
together I then
proceeded to continue
cutting and chopping
up all of the audio
sections that I want
erased from my
product, these
sections would either
be mistakes or pauses
that disrupt the quality
of my podcast.
Process
• After I had edited out all my
flaws and mistakes I finally
got the podcast sounding
how wanted it to sound. I
then moved onto choosing
sound effects and different
background music from
YouTube to download, I
used an mp3 converter
website to download these
audio files that would help
make my podcast sound
more sinister and create a
chilling atmosphere.
Process
• After I downloaded all of my
converted sound effects I then
proceeded to put them all in
place with all my clips, I placed
my intro and outro sound and
the beginning and ending of
the podcast, I placed my
sinister dark background music
when I was describing what
the topic of the podcast I
about and a few other effects
such as a bass impact when
the tension rises in the
conversation. The sound
effects made the podcast feel
more atmospheric and real.
Process
• Since I had finished all my
editing and placed in all of
the sound effects I needed I
then decided to do some
final touch ups such as get
the audio levels correct so it
doesn’t sound too loud or
too quiet, I did this because
I wanted to get some audio
files louder and quieter than
some others, this way it
sounds more professional
and nicely done.
