Production Reflection

I then imported the first few audio tracks I needed and use
the razor tool to cut them down to the size I needed. I
found the music I wanted to use for my intro in YouTube
and I used an mp3 converter to save the music to my
memory stick.
Then I imported my audio recordings that I had recorded
previously. This took a bit longer than it should have
because I was still fairly new to using this software so I was
still trying to become familiar with it.
I first started off creating a new project. I went into
this with a script that I had written previously. I had
little experience working in premier pro at this point
so I was a mixture of exited a little nervous because I
was unsure of what the end result of my podcast
would be like.
Process
I then listened to what I had so far, so I realised
something about it was off. So I started to play
around with some of the effects. I stumbled
upon the fade out transition effects and I used
that on a lot of the audio throughout this
project. I did this because I feel like it just
sounds more professional and brings the whole
thing together more.
After I had sorted that out I added more audio
tracks. I did this because I wanted to have
sound effects, music and me talking all
separate. Mainly because they all have to be
the same volume, for example me talking has
to be louder than the music in the background,
so doing it this way makes it easier to add or
lower volume when needed. I played around
with the audio mixer to find the perfect
balance. In the end I found it eventually.
This is the finished project. To get to
this point I imported the rest of the
audio I needed. This includes music
and sound effects I got of YouTube
and my own recordings I got off the
audio recorder. I used the razor tool
to cut them down to the right size I
nodded and used effects such as
audio transitions and volume control
to make the project as professional as
possible. I mainly used “constant
power” crossfade because I feel that
it makes all of the clips tie together
well and each audio clip starts
seamlessly.
