I chose these images
because they all link
with my idea for the
poster I want to
make. The main
theme here is
darkness and the
feeling of the
unknown, as
portrayed with the
use of masks and
shadows to hide
one’s identity. This
darkness connotation
highlights the horror

and this is what I
would like to
implement into my
own work. I am also
going to be using a

Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated colours/images
styles/fonts/tone/mood
• Yes, the use of darkness and shadows is portrayed highly in the images I have
chosen. The overall dark connotation highlights the horror in each of the
images, and they all have a very calm and unnerving theme.
• Most of the images feature masks, mainly horror styled, and they all contrast
and blend in with the darkness, which is mainly the background of the image.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• It will teach me multiple different lighting techniques and the effects that light
and dark have on a specific object / image. It can also help me with what type of
stance I would like my character to have when it comes to making my poster,
and the positions and camera angles I need to consider, also what objects work
well with blending in with the darkness.

A camera, basic hardware, such as the mask I would like to use and
costume choice. Basic lighting equipment for the photography side of
the project, as well as the Photoshop software, mainly for the poster.

horror genre.
Secondary Audience: Male & Females aged 18 – 24 that are interested
in the genre.
Gender: Male & Female
Psychographic: Will attract fans of the horror genre as it includes
themes of violence and terror.

T-Shirt designs for video games. • Fear that it would take too long
and become overcomplicated
when coming to the part where I
produce the product.
• I have had absolutely no
experience in this particular field,
and feel it would be better for
myself to do something that I
have had plenty of experience
