2. Process
For the setting, I took inspiration
from my research, and made an
abandoned, scary looking house.
Overall, making this image was
not too hard, but it did take me a
few attempts to try and get the
layout right. Each image was also
created on a different layer,
which made it easier for me to
position certain things where I
wanted them to go. Everything in
the image was created by myself,
and I used textures from the
internet to give it more depth,
and realism. I chose this kind of
style because my main project is
going to feature similar content,
e.g. abandoned / industrial
buildings.
3. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you include in
your final product?
• Refer to the brief: Ghost Game
– I will include a lot of elements, such as eroded textures,
industrial / abandoned buildings and a dark scene /
setting, and also third person gameplay. I will also be
including a similar character style & stance, as I feel it fits
best for my game because it is a survival game, and it is
important for the player to be able to see what his
character has / looks like. I am also going to be
implementing similar lighting techniques, for example,
sources of light create light & absence of light create dark
areas, as seen in my experiment image.
