2. STRUCTURE
• In order to make it easier to
complete the production, I divided
the video into several parts, namely
dining room, kitchen, stairs, and
school corridor. This provides a
more manageable workspace. Only
a limited number of clips are used
for each section.
3. TITLE
• I only used the simplest method to
present the overall title at the
beginning of the video, and
presented each staff member as the
music played.
4. FOOTAGE SELECTION
• First I simply went through all the
shots and edited out the bad shots,
loose shots, and unusable shots to
create the first version which was
the rough cut. Later, I connected
each shot through action continuity.
To make the date clear to the
viewer, I added simple text.
5. COLOUR GRADING
• First I used the colour grading which
I adjusted in the first clip. I wanted
a mysterious visual effect, so I
changed the overall colour to a low-
saturation bluish-purple colour.
Later, the colour changes in the
second clip also represent the
psychological changes of the
heroine (her heart was ignited.)
After colour adjustments again and
again, the final work was obtained.
6. SOUND
• All the diegetic sounds were recorded by
me. This includes the sound of opening a
medicine bottle, the sound of walking
down the stairs, etc. This is all obtained
from cupcut. They are all free, so I can take
advantage of them freely. There was a lot
of noise in the original footage, so I tried to
avoid it as much as possible.
• The music at the beginning is cupcut's own
soothing music, so it does not require
copyright. The background music in the
second half is pure music from “jesenje
lisce”.
• Afterwards, all musics were properly
adjusted, including volume, etc.
7. THE FINAL CUT
• In the final cut, I put everything
together, deleted some shots or
sped up some of the pacing. Added
some sound effects, adjust the
overall fluidity, and added the
company logo and title.
