The student conducted an experiment where they first added music and sound effects without considering the subject matter. They then recorded a 30 second speaking part but when added to the project, it was only 15 seconds. This forced them to rely on the background noises to explain their morning routine. For their final product, the student plans to write a script before adding other elements to help with timing and ensure the full recording is included. They also want to check recordings more closely.

• The first thing I did when I made this piece I decided to put in some music
without thinking about the matter of subject and did the same with the
sound effects which I had downloaded them all using flvto and the sound
effects and music were all from YouTube. So I had ended up with a
background for the speaking so I recorded the speaking which ended up
being 30 seconds long and then I downloaded it onto my memory stick
and something must have happened to it because when I added it to the
piece it was only allowing me to listen to fifteen seconds of it which then
means I had to cut it a bit to fit to the background noises and so in the end
I had to rely on the sounds in the background to explain what I did in the
morning however tit does seem to be more of an effective way of
explaining what I do in the morning. Just before recording though I came
up with an absolute rubbish script and so it was incredibly difficult to
describe what I do in the morning.

6. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– I won’t use any of the same ideas however I
should make a script and recording before I make
a background track this will help me with the
timings of everything and it will also help me with
all the other little things such as volume control
and all sorts.
– Also next time I should check on the recording
because it was not all there.
