Process
• To make sure my recording goes
smoothly, I used Word to type up
a script of what I am going to say
and can edit it if I need to make
changes. I like doing this because I
don’t have to improvise and
stumble on my words as I have it
all typed out for me and I don’t
have to mess it up. I also recorded
my audio by using my phone and
the microphone on my
headphones to talk. The strengths
of using my phone is that I always
have it with me and can record
whenever I want. The weaknesses
of using my phone are that the
recording isn’t too clear and
maybe too quiet.
Process
• I got all my sound
effects from the
YouTube audio
library to what fitted
more to my
experiment. I feel
like it went well and
all the sound effects
that I found fit really
well with my project
based off of my
script.
Process
• I selected the audio
transitions and then
clicked the folder
crossfade and used
the Constant Gain
effect to put at the
beginning and end
of my music. I added
this because I
wanted to fade the
music in and out to
make it professional.
Process
To turn up and down the volume, I
right clicked to Audio Gain and set the
decibels for the audio clip’s volume.
The electric tooth brush effect was
very quiet and all you could hear was
the click of the brush. I changed it to
15 dbs to make the vibrating clearer. I
tried adjusting the levels by moving
the soundwave up and down so I used
audio gain instead. The strengths of
using audio gain is that it will make the
audio more clearer and easier to listen
to. The weaknesses are that it may not
be the correct decibels and it could be
even quieter.
Process
To export my audio, I went onto ‘File’
and went to ‘Export’ and clicked
‘Media’ . After that, I went to the
dropdown menu next to ‘Format’ to
find the MP3 option and then clicked
‘Export’. The strengths of this method
is that as a MP3 file, it can play all the
sounds and audio that I have recorded
all in one and make people listen to it
once it’s done. The weaknesses are
that some sounds might become
quieter than they did before exporting
so people may not be able to listen to
it clearly.
Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
For my final product, I will include sound effects,
my own voice and some intro and outro music
because I want my final product to be real and
express my personality through my voice while
I’m talking about my product.
