The document analyzes research conducted on horror video game imagery, finding that common features include dark color schemes, blood, and settings in spooky isolated places. It discusses including these elements like dark colors and blood in future work to create fear and mystery for the player. An audience profile is also provided, identifying the target audience for a horror game as males ages 16-25 seeking thrills, and ways to appeal to that demographic.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
2. Existing Product
First person point of view
which makes the consumer
feel more engaged with the
game as they can see the
game through the
characters eyes and this is
audience appeal as it’s a
reason why the consumer
would want to play the
game
The lighting is dark
to create that horror
effect to the game
however most of the
lighting is focused on
the zombie as when
the consumer is
playing the game
and suddenly see
they zombie they will
jump/panic
The mise en scene is made to look threatening as it’s a horror game and it
has been done in many ways. One way is the image is slightly blurred which
suggests the character is scared and therefore the characters vision is blurry
and this adds a fear element to the game. Another use of the mise en scene
is the room is quite simple and isn’t decorated much and all there is in this
room is a ladder and a zombie. The walls are also plain and they don’t have
any wallpaper/decorations
The game has a dark setting which
creates a mysterious element as we
are not sure what is around in the
too
The zombie has a very large
mouth has yellow eyes which
stands and catches them
consumers attention. The
zombie also has blood on his
hands which adds another
element of fear for the
consumer that is playing the
game. The zombie is white as it
suggests isolation and
emptiness which also links to
the rooms lack of decorations
3. Existing Product
On the bench and bin
there is brown blood
which suggests the blood
isn’t fresh and that this
bunny has killed people
before so the consumer
should be scared
The bunny has red
blood around its
mouth suggesting
that the blood is
fresh and that this
character could be
next to get eaten or
attacked
The shot is dark which makes is mysterious as we do
not know what is there and what is going to happen
next and it leaves the consumer asking many
questions o
Bunnies and the colour pink as
seen as “cute” however in this
game the bunny is associated
with the opposite. The bunny
is a bright pink and compared
to and this stands out because
it’s a bright colour and
everything else in the shot has
been given a dark colour. This
is unconventional for horror
games to have a character that
is seen as harmless as the
main enemy in the game
4. Existing Product
Through the light of the torch we
can see the zombie/monster. The
torch light is very dim so we can’t
see in in too much detail what is
in the shot
The circular torch
creates a mysterious
effect as we can
only see what's in
the torch and we
cant see what's
around and this will
create discomfort
for the consumer
From looking at the
tiles on the wall it
looks like this part of
the game is set in a
bathroom/toilets/cha
nging room and there
is blood on the wall to
create a fear element
for the consumer
The zombie/monster looks very
pale and has blood all on it’s
clothes so the consumer can
assume something bad will
happen
5. Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched
products have?
Some common features that these products have in common are they all use dark
colour schemes and include blood on the monsters. They are also all set in a dark
spooky place
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your on work?
From my aspects of research I will include dark colour scheme in my
work as it creates a mysterious element and makes the consumer feels
scared as they aren’t aware of their surroundings
7. Audience Profile
Category Demographic Content to appeal to this audience
Age Range
16- 25 To appeal this to my audience I will include lots

thrills in games are more likely to attract
younger audiences which is my target audience
Gender
Male To appeal to my audience I will try and make
the game as scary as possible and this will
attract males to play the game as they might be
able to play the game to show their masculinity
Psychographic
People that enjoy
thrills
To appeal this to my audience I will include a
lot of thrills so that the consumer enjoys my
game
Social Status

My game will appeal to these as these are who
are most likely to play it and to make my game
appeal to them I shall make it enjoyable for
them to play and add lots of mysterious
elements to the game
