Life Styles Inventory
Introduction
Individuals possess different skills that have an impact on their thinking and management style. The
style varies from individual to individual depending on their opinions, perceptions, thoughts, and
skills. The Life Style Inventory is a tool, which can be used to analyze and evaluate the management
and leadership skills of an individual. The LSI has different styles and individuals can rate the styles
according to their own skills. It will help in analyzing the management and leadership capabilities of
an individual by evaluating the key skills. I have taken the LSI test to analyze and examine my skills,
which can help in selecting an appropriate management and leadership style to achieve success and
growth.
Personal Thinking Styles The cognitive and thought process of individuals is influenced by the
personal attributes, skills, capabilities, and perceptions of individuals. The personal thinking style
varies from individual to individual depending on various factors and resources. Evaluation of
personal skills helps in developing and enhancing skills so that success can be achieved. The LSI
results have helped me in realizing my personal thinking style, which has a strong impact on my
behavior, perception, and attitude. The LSI result suggests that I belong to the avoidance category,
which means that I use defensive and aggressive strategies to prove my point and

Developing Effective Marketing Strategies for the Japanese Market: A Review of the Literature
Shinichi Hirokawa Argosy University Tsai Ling Wu Argosy University Japan, as the world s third
largest economy, continues to be attractive to international exporters and investors. It is our argument
that the forces of change that led originally to new and bigger opportunities remain the same, despite
surface differences. This paper explores some of the key issues related to entering this market. It
provides an examination of effective marketing strategies and how the marketing knowledge can be
used to enter and succeed in Japan. It outlines six specific marketing ... Show more content on

Over a decade ago, A 1995 Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) survey of foreign
affiliated firms in Japan (at least one third foreign ownership), found that 65.4 percent reviewed their
business as successful while just 1 percent assessed their business as unsuccessful. More than 70
percent were planning to expand their business activities over the next five years within those
successful businesses in spite of the economic crisis. The main area of expansion was sales and
marketing activities. Eighty five percent of those companies that intended to expand their Japanese
operations said sales and marketing was the primary area targeted for expansion (Banerji Sambharya,
1996). This probably reflects an understanding that in the middle of the economic difficulties, Japan s
market revolution is still creating significant opportunities. Foreign firms are coming into Japan in
record numbers. For example, huge Western superstores are coming into Japan on the tail winds of the
deregulation of large retail stores. Toys R Us had a hard time to enter Japan in 1991, but by late 1997
was posting annual sales of 100 billion yen, with 10 percent of the market. It became the leading toy
retailer in Japan. Resistance from a group of 500 small stores, which formed the Association of Toy
Specialty Stores had not been able to stop this invasion, and its membership declined to just over fifty
stores six years after Toys R Us arrived (Delios, et al. 2007).

Skew Our Perception Of Women In The Western World Analysis
Have you ever wondered how people from different countries view your lifestyle? Have you ever
thought that people from different cultures have a unusual way of doing things? Culture is defined by
dictionary.com as the quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what is regarded as
excellent in arts, letters, manners, scholarly pursuits, etc (Dictionary.com). Culture is something that
defines what our beliefs are and how we handle certain situations. People all around the world have
their own culture that they considered to be normal. As humans, it s one of the things that actually
make us human. However culture can skew our perception of other cultures. Because of our
perception is causes us to shun anything that is not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The eastern culture has taught people to be more involved socially unlike their counterparts or the
western culture. Barthelme a writer for a world renowned journal called International Cognition and
Culture Institute. The journal has many articles that compare eastern and western culture. In one
article Barthelme writes, When mothers and infants are observed playing with toys in their own home
[...] it is found that American mothers label toys and point out their attributes more often than do
Japanese mothers. By contrast, Japanese mothers tend to engage their infants in social routines more
than do American mothers. American mothers emphasis on labelling objects might lead infants to
focus on the objects and their appropriate categorizations whereas Japanese mothers emphasis on
social practices might direct infants attention to the relationship or to the context in which the object is
located (Barthelme). The family dynamic in the different cultures show that if one day a person from
each culture saws how the other acted they would judge. Richard M. Carp a writer whose works have
been put into the Historical Reflections journal said it best, It is not easy to think through the role of
culture in perceptual difference. First of all, the world each of us perceives is so obviously there (and
so obviously there, intersubjectively, for so many people), that

The Reality Of Television Shows
This Is What The Reality Of TV Is. The popularity of reality TV shows lately do not amaze me, in the
society today, people admire excessive pride than high moral standards. A lot of shows which need to
be cancelled portray and teach a lot of bad behaviors. Although these reality TV shows may make us
laugh or even amaze us with its characters, who are bad influences to the society especially children.
These shows gives us a picture of how people are drastically driven by the love of money, fame and
riches instead of the power of love of people for each other. The indecent and improper behavior being
displayed by these characters are not to be emulated because it has a negative effect on the society,
especially on children because the promote the use of drugs, alcohol and foul languages. Reality
shows such as Jersey Shore and Real World on MTV promote nothing but alcoholism. People get
hired just to have fun, involving alcohol. People get the wrong impression of how to act and behave,
making them think that the only way to have fun is by drinking alcohol and getting drunk. Most
people in the society today believe that alcohols consumed on shows make it seem cool or fun to drink
and get drunk. A reality show producer, Kurt Reams, once said that the rate and amount at which Tv
stars consume alcohol is ridiculous that most viewers could get influenced which is a wrong idea.

Analysis Of The Book The On Mortal Kombat By Kevin Wilson
In the stories that author Kevin Wilson wrote in Tunneling to the Center of the Earth, several
characters are ruled by fear. The fear that these characters have eventually winded up having a
solution or solve that helps resolve their fears. Fear is defined as: a feeling of agitation or anxiety
caused by the presence or imminence of danger. An example of fear in one of the stories is Leonard in
Blowing up on the Spot, because he fears death and it controls and restricts his life. Towards the end
of that story, Leonard finds his resolve of having that fear. The type of things that can lead to
resolutions of fear is epiphanies. In his short story, Mortal Kombat to boys was facing a fear like no
other. In his short story called Mortal Kombat the boys Scotty and Wynn are best friends and they both
have this fear of accepting they are falling for one another. In Kevin Wilsons short story, Mortal
Kombat the narrator says, It is simple and awkward at the same time, the way they proceed. There is
only the quickness of movement, the instinctive responses of the body. It feels like fighting; that is
what runs through both of their minds. It lasts all of two minutes, maybe less. (76). The kiss made
them realize they are maybe attracted to eachother and their feelings couldn t fight what they were
feeling anymore. This fear that each of them show towards the situation puts a restriction on their life
for awhile. The thoughts that are going thru scotty head while he is raking

Examining Public Policy and Creating Solutions for Improvement
Reflections on Public Policy
The chosen public policy issue is the ongoing effort within nursing to advance the field through taking
action. In this case, action takes four distinct activities: advocacy, policy, learning as a lifelong process
and involvement in philanthropy. This action can be applied through community based participatory
research which is a research partnership seeking the involvement of all members of the community.
Under this approach, all participants contribute their knowledge to the process in an effort to better the
quality of life in that community members (Israel et al., 2008). It is because there are so many under
served populations and in under serving these populations nursing fails to live up to its professional
and this is a policy change that must be made. This issue of public policy, that is, the issue of the
prevalence of under served populations which clearly requires changing, and the role that nursing can
play in this public policy process is discussed at length in Burkhardt and Nathaniel (2013).
To influence public policy, nurses must act as professionals with the ability and the responsibility to
affect the current and future debate over the delivery of health care. This

Historical Events that Impacted Contact Improvisation...
Historical Events that Impacted Contact Improvisation
Dance has evolved greatly throughout the centuries. It began with ballet and has led up to contact
improvisation. This form of dance begun in the early 1970 s and was started by a man named Steve
Paxton and a group of postmodern dancers from New York City. Contact improvisation is a partnering
form of dance and known as the art of moving spontaneously with a group or another person. This
form of dance does not require the exact set of traditional skills of other dance form, it doesn t have a
technique that could be studied, and it is practiced in order to accomplish the highest potential.
Contact improvisation came at a great time period, which of course was the 70 s. The ... Show more

Although the Watergate Scandal was an important event during this time period I don t think it greatly
affected contact improvisation.
Another important historical event that occurred during this time period was the end of the Cold War.
In 1975, under President Gerald Ford the US joined the USSR and thirty three other countries to sign
the Helsinki Accords that each member of nations vowed to respect human rights and boundaries. I
think the whole end of the Cold War greatly affected this dance. I think by using contact improvisation
it sort of represented people s feelings better by being able to interact with each other. So by using
contact improvisation I think the dancers were able to get their point across to the audience better.
Therefore, the end of the Cold War was probably very important for contact improvisation and
expressing yourself.
Finally, the Vietnam War was another important historical event going on in the 1970s. When Nixon
was president he sent American troop strength in Vietnam. He also set up a program of
Vietnamization, which was decreasing the number of U.S. troops, offering only advice and assistance.
The U.S. troops eventually returned from Vietnam but the U.S. did not stop with its involvement in
Vietnam. Nixon then extended the war into Laos and Cambodia, there is secretly authorized bombing

Barack Obama: Writer in Chief President Barack Obama is know for remarkable events such as
becoming the first African American president of the United States; however, not everyone knows
about what else Obama has done. He is also an author who has written around twenty books including
a memoir about his early life leading up to his life in law school, and a children s book dedicated to
his daughters. His most famous book Dreams From My Father, a memoir about his early life leading
up to law school, is a prime example of what influenced him to write. There were many things that

Benefits Of Immigrants Volunteering In The Military
Today, immigrants volunteer in all branches of the US Army. UU. And they are a vital asset for the
Department of Defense. To recognize their unique contribution, immigrants who serve honorably in
the military who are not yet citizens of the United States. UU. They should be given significant
advantages in the naturalization process. While opponents feel that immigrants should not earn
citizenship from serving in the military because they will take advantage of their citizenship, they are
incorrect; immigrants should instead be allowed to gain citizenship because their families will be kept
together, they will experience personal growth, and will create diversity and economy. Opponents feel
that immigrants should not earn citizenship from serving in the military because they will take
advantage of time served in the military in order to obtain their citizenship without truly fighting for
U.S. national freedom. In other hands it would encourage immigrants to come to U.S illegally would
come more illegals with the certainty that if they are in the military they will have the citizenship
granted. It would increase the cost of controlling the immigrants crossing the border. As a matter of
fact, opponents feel that people who break the law by crossing the US border without proper
documentation or by overstaying their visas should be deported and not rewarded with a path to
citizenship and access to social services. They argue that people in the country illegally are criminals

Public Administration is a function of government, a government in action, be it a local agency, city,

Of all the aspects of MTI, innovation strategy is the most challenging. Firms can be very good at the
various activities involved in MTI, such as R amp; D or operations, but this count for little unless it is
supported by a well grounded innovation strategy that guides firms choices, prioritizations, and
sequences. There is little value in being highly efficient at developing or delivering new products and
services if they are the wrong products and services for the firm and its markets. Well chosen new
products and services deliver value, build the technological base of the firm, develop its capabilities,
improve its processes, and add to its reputation and brands. An innovation strategy helps firms decide,

A firm that identifies innovation as a strategic activity is more likely to attract creative workers in

A shareholder theory of firm and a stakeholder theory of firm may differ in their respective evaluation
method of firm performance. Both theories however recognize the importance of value creation as the
economic role of firms as institutions. The New Institutional Economics (NIE) emphasizes incentives
alignment, while also viewing stakeholder engagements as methods to expand the boundaries of firms.
The difference in performance evaluation between the two approaches can be reduced if stakeholders,
while formulating incentive alignment, also evaluate the mechanisms of establishing a common
currency value. The concomitant development of stakeholder engagement, incentive alignment, and
value currency creation is argued to be an evolutionary process with the efficiency implications of the
two theories tending to converge.
Business sustainability, which originally was viewed as a question of corporate governance, has now

corporate boards and managers to focus on business sustainability by creating enduring value for
shareholders and managing the interests of other stakeholders, including creditors, employers,
suppliers, government, and society at large.

Catcher In The Rye Isolation Quotes
By the end of the novel, Holden learns to accept society for what it is and accept the fact that kids do
not necessarily need his protection from society or any of its prejudices, judgements, or expectations.
This does not mean that he cannot help them, as he can stay there and be waiting for them to at least
reduce the pain undergone due to the aforementioned societal aspects whenever they need his help.
After a single day and a deep, meaningful, and serious talk with Mr. Antolini, Holden adapts to fit this
role ideally. When he is about to leave for Mr. Antolini s house, Holden [takes] [his] hunting hat out of
[his] coat pocket and [gives] it to [Phoebe]. She likes those kind of crazy hats. She [does not] want to
take it, but [he] [makes] her. (Salinger, 198 199). Here, Holden gives the hat to Phoebe in hopes that it
will protect her from whatever societal harshness or hardships she undergoes while he is at Mr.
Antolini s house. This hunting hat jointly symbolizes protection and isolation. It is a way of isolating
oneself from all of the phony people because as Holden himself admits on multiple occasions, it is
ugly and displeasing to the eye. This could potentially be a way by which he tries to deter himself
from all of the phoniness in the world. One type of phonies are those who take everything at face
value, and by wearing this hat, Holden deters at least them. That could even be the reason why he likes
this hat so much: the fact that it makes him come into contact

a diminished life through the details and symbolism she shows in her painting. Marlowe shows
the theme that the world crumbles for the most loved in the figurative language he uses to

Data Center Assurance Program Project
Process Analysis
Cisco Systems went ahead with modified version of waterfall model for Data Center Assurance
Program (DCAP) project. Though waterfall model is old and have less success rate, it suited DCAP
project quite well. As the goals and scope of the project is fixed throughout the project and release
cycles are about 6 8 months it is easy to use waterfall model. Partial overlap between various phases
existed. This allowed for parallel execution of few tasks and helped in effective resource utilization
and on time project delivery. All the engineers are involved in all the stages of the project. Also there
any enough resources to replace the ones who left the project. Standard disaster recovery practices of a
real time production data center are not fallowed, but those required for the project to replicate the real
time scenario are used. For instance, to make sure the real time environment like distance between two
data centers, wan emulators are used.
Effectiveness of Initial Planning The detailed analysis of requirements and studying the real time
scenario by visiting customer s location proved to be good in refining project goals. No all the project
members are given opportunity to study customer s environment which is practiced due to budget
issues. The decision to fallow modified version of water fall model fitted the project quite well. But
the overlapping of the phases is not quite long and proved deficient. This resulted in ineffective
resource utilization.

The Classical Style Of The Ancient Greece And The United...
Neo Classicism in France and the United States
The classical style of the ancient Athens, derived from Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome in the 15th
century, has had a universal impact on many cultures during previous time periods. The classical
period reflected traditional forms focused on symmetry and elegance; it flourished during the time of
the Renaissance through artist such as Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo De Vinci. The artists
main goal was to attain the absolute beauty in their art by showing emotion through detail, almost
through perfection. Some examples of well known classical arts during the Renaissance were
Belvedere Torso and the Medici Venus . In the 17th century the classical style was revived, now called
the neo classical style. It was born in Rome but its popularity flourished all over Europe. The neo
classical movement clashed with the age of Enlightment and continued through the 19th century. The
neo classical principles were based around the same characteristics as the classical arts such as:
balance, proportion, order, simplicity, clarity, and reason. It was strongest in architect, sculpture, and
decorative arts. The neo classical style continued to spread throughout the world and became sought
after in the 17th and 18th century in countries such as France and The United States, and it influenced
some of the greatest government buildings in America.
Neoclassicism can be seen as a political movement as well as an artistic and cultural one.

Interpersonal dating relationships start with adolescents and young adults. This age range is where
trial and error relationship lessons are learned. I chose the topic of perceptions of traditional dating
and hook ups among adolescents and young adults, to bring awareness to the foundation of
relationships and sexual activates trending in today s youth. The impact of the lack of parental
supervision when students go off to college can create both positive and negative out comes for young
adults, especially with the involvement of drugs and alcohol can create the ideal environment for
random sexual hookups. Because there is a considerable amount of young adults who are participating
in these casual sexual experiences some may assume this is the sole reason for marriage later in life.
More research needs to follow the age of which teenagers start to participate in today s hookup
culture, and the factors of making hooking up more available with the use of applications such as
Tinder. Studies show that the number one perceived risk of traditional dating at 42.00% is that
traditional dating is an investment of feelings and there is a potential of getting hurt. Where as men s

Everyone knows what animal testing is, it doesn t matter who you are. Some are for it, others are
against it. I happen to be one of the ones against it. Let me give you 4 reasons why animal testing is a
horrible idea. One, there are obviously ethical reasons, as well as religious reasons. Two, the idea of
animal testing when we can grow artificial skins is moronic. Three, tests made on animals can lead to
wrong or inconclusive results. Fourth, the scientist themselves.
The religious reasons are most obvious. Buddhist are very against cruelty to any race, species,
animals, people everything. Christians should also be against the cruelty to anything because of their

As said by Ellen DeGeneres in My Point... And I Do Have One If you want to test cosmetics, why do
it on some poor animal that hasn t done anything? They should use prisoners who have been convicted
of murder or rape instead. So, rather than seeing if perfume irritates a bunny rabbit s eyes, they should
throw it in Charles Manson s eyes and ask him if it hurts.
Animals are not exactly like us. Sure they can find similarities, rabbits for eye products, apes for
reactions. But we will never find an animal exactly like us. As said by Agnes Ryan in For the Church
Door, Wars will never cease while men still kill other animals for food, for to turn any living creature
into a roast, a steak, a chop, or any other type of meat takes the same kind of violence, the same kind
of bloodshed, and the same kind of mental processes required to change a living man into a dead
soldier. And another quote from Michael Tobias in Rage and Reason, I remember one bobcat they had

Puritan Beliefs
Puritan view of Religion
God directed all the events by the exercise of his will and aimed at directing all these events to an
intelligent end.
Puritans placed emphasis on the righteousness and sovereignty of God.
Human beings were sinners who were not able to attain salvation and be pure in the eyes of God.
Puritans believed in predestination and that all human beings were to conform to divine law.
The Puritan role in society was to be the people of God and create another form of Jerusalem.
An individual should have an intimate relationship with God in order to redeem themselves from
harmful sin.
Puritans should become holy and set the example for those who remained in England to change their
sinful habits.
Puritans needed to associate themselves with the predestined elect (Puritans who were guaranteed
their way to heaven) to become an official member of the church.
Strictly avoided witchcraft related practices, as it went against God s expectations.
Believed in the Devil and his possession of members in society who did not withhold Puritan religious
views (specifically women and children).
Believed in the strict interpretation of the Bible, as it was God s work.

Why Does Plato Considers Ordinary Human Existence to...
WHY DOES PLATO COMPARE ORDINARY HUMAN EXISTENCE TO THAT OF CHAINED
PRISONERS IN A CAVE? Plato in his famous Allegory of Cave compared the ordinary human
existence to that of chained prisoners in a cave. According to Plato, we are all stuck in a false reality in
this world like prisoners in a cave. His cave theory still applies today in the sense that the people are
influenced and controlled by the world around them. They do not want to realize or seek the truth;
instead they wish to live in the comfort zone inside the cave. THE ALLEGORY OF THE CAVE:

shadows inside the cave are illusion . Buddha s first expression of enlightment was all is illusion .All
Buddhist practices aimed at disabusing a person of their illusions. Presently Buddhism teaches to
pierce through the two veils of illusion, which are conflicting emotions and false beliefs about reality.
Everything is illusion in this world. According to Advaita school of Vedanta, Brahman is the only
reality; the appearance of dualities and differences in this world is a superimposition on Brahman,
called Maya. Maya is the illusionary and creative aspect of Brahman. Advaita accepts Plato s view on
reality. Everything inside the cave is shadows and are false realities. These are temporary. Likewise
everything in this world is illusion and is temporary. According to Buddhism, reflection of yourself is
enlightment. Reflection means finding answers for Who am I? Why am I here? Where do I go after
death? What will I be? But Plato s view is that knowing reality is enlightment. Reality means form of
good. Mahayana Sutra says; The truth was never preached by the Buddha, seeing that

The Y2K Problem
The Y2K problem...the Y2K glitch...the millennium bug. Whatever you call it, it is the inability of
some computers and computerized systems to correctly recognize dates after December 31, 1999.
Many products have microchips that have been programmed to process only the last two digits of a
year on the assumption that the first two would be one and nine. As a result, 98 is read as 1998, and 00

Objective Racism
Objective Racism:
An essay on how segregation affected the USA, and its lingering effect on the nation
The United States of America is one of the best countries in the world. The country considers its start
as a nation to be 1776, and since then, America has stood for freedom all around the world. The USA
has had military supremacy for years; considered one of the only superpowers in the world currently.
Most importantly, however, is that it is a melting pot of different ethnic groups and cultures. Sadly,
most places in America do not contain this important standard of no prejudice. After the Plessy v.
Ferguson case, subtle racism became more abundant throughout the south, and although the
government resolved main problem in the 60 s, racism still abides on both ends today. In 1863,
President Abraham Lincoln issued the emancipation proclamation. This act freed thousands of slaves,
and enacted the abolition of slavery after the north won the Civil War. In turn, legislation passed many
amendments prohibiting any discrimination of blacks. In 1883, the Supreme Court ruled against this
amendment, they ruled that, The 14th Amendment did not give Congress authority to prevent
discrimination by private individuals. So when the states got the power to decide, most states decided
to pass laws known as Jim Crow laws. These laws segregated blacks and whites in almost all ways of
life, from schools to railroad carts. In 1892, Homer Plessy, a mixed man, sat in a white

August 2026 There Will Come Soft Rain And A Sound Of...
Both short stories, August 2026: There Will Come Soft Rain, and A Sound of
Thunder are written by Ray Bradbury. In these stories Bradbury describes futuristic details relating
back to a historical event that happen during the time he wrote the stories. These pieces of literature
were influenced by the political, social, and cultural climate of that time period. This helps the readers
view both stories through a lens of new historicism by revealing the relation of past wars and the
upcoming of new presidents in Bradbury s short stories.
In A Sound of Thunder, Ray Bradbury starts his story in the 2055 and time travels backward. The
story tells about a group traveling back in time to hunt dinosaurs, but one of the travelers, Eckels,
steps on a butterfly and then sets off a ripple in time. Before they began their travels, Eckles and the
man behind the desk talk about the recent election. They converse about how happy they were that
keith won the election and not Deutscher because Deutscher would have been the worst kind of
dictatorship. The man behind the desk was thrilled about the win for keith, just as Eckles was. This
creates a comparison to when Bradbury wrote the short story, which was in 1952. In 1952, there was
an election between Dwight D. Eisenhower and
Adlai E. Stevenson which concluded with Eisenhower s victory by a landslide. Stevenson didn t get
many votes due to his views and beliefs, just like Deutscher. Which is a key point and why bradbury

Spiderman Hero
Spider Man is one of my favorite heroes of all time. Spider Man was a teenager named Peter Parker
with spider like abilities. Peter visited a laboratory to see a famous doctor and was bit by a spider that
gave him superpowers. Peter was given powers such as super strength, fast reflexes and the ability to
shoot webs from his hands. There are four different movies of Spider Man fighting villains. My
favorite villain that Spider Man faced was Doctor Octopus. Doctor Octopus was an intelligent mad
scientist (Otto Octavius), who built four, powerful mechanical appendages and attached the
appendages to himself. In Spider Man 2, Doctor Octopus would rob banks so that he can buy
expensive equipment for his lab. The equipment Doctor Octopus bought resembles how much of a
genius he desired to be. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

believed that his four mechanical appendages was enough to stop Spider Man, but he was

jail. Doctor Octopus is one of many villains Spider Man had to fight. Spider Man 2 is my favorite
movie because even though Spider Man was new at being a superhero he prevailed over evil. Another
reason why Spider Man 2 is my favorite movie is because the effects in the movie with Doctor
Octopus four mechanical appendages was amazing. Spider Man never gave up on himself and always

Sister Moon Religion
The movie Brother Sun, Sister Moon tells about St.Francis s early life, conversion, and religious order
that he founded with the emphasis of living as beggars and relying on the mercy of others as Jesus did.
In the beginning of the movie, it shows a wounded man in a hospital, this was Francis after he
survived the war. When he regains his health, he goes home to his wealthy family. After seeing all the
materialism there is in the world, Francis wants to get rid of all his possessions and live as the beggars
do so that he would be able to find true happiness in living a simple life. When we see that Francis has
survived the war, we know that due to his hallucinations that he probably had suffered from some

fulfillment and holiness. By watching Francis s formation in the faith, we can see him grow into the
saint we see and pray to today. He is known for being a person who is completely selfless and is
willing to give up everything he had to live as Jesus did. What I personally learned from this movie is
that I was able to witness the life of someone who always lived for others and also had the
determination and courage to stick to what he believed in and to stand up for those beliefs. By setting
this example, he attracted people to follow him on his religious path and to join his group. This
following that St.Francis had, it soon grew into an entire order of monks known today as the
Franciscan monks. Francis is an example to all of us not just because of how he lived his life but how
we touched the lives of other people. In the words of St. Francis If God can work through me, he can

Analyzing Mexican Culture Of Mexico
Analyzing Mexican Culture Directly south of the United States is over 761,000 square miles of land.
It consists of beautiful beaches, high mountains, low coastal plains, high plateaus, and multiple
deserts. Divided into 31 states and 1 federal district, the vast area of land is home to more Spanish
speakers than any other nation in the world. This country, The Estados Unidos Mexicanos (Mexico),
has acquired a rich history, retained government that has remained optimistic about the future, despite
facing frequent hardships, and the influence of past culture remains obvious. The first major
civilization in Mexico, the Olmec, dates back to 1200 BC. They resided in the southern regions of
present day Mexico, and spent the majority of their time nurturing crops, such as corn, beans, chili
peppers, and cotton. They recorded their culture s history using graphic symbols, and took part in
creating fine art and pottery. In 400 BC, the Olmec civilization died out, which gave way to multiple
other civilizations; the 3 most notable are the Mayans, Toltecs, and Aztecs. The Mayans, often
remembered for their intellect, also produced admirable pottery and art. Their arithmetic, writing,
astronomy, and architecture skills surpassed that of their predecessors. The Mayans developed an
extremely accurate calendar, which divided a year into 365 days (Tondering). In addition, they built
large pyramids to reference as calendars. Many of these pyramids remain in Mexico today. One of

Symbolism In The Invisible Man
1. The chief difference between Wyeth s painting and Wall s photography is that the former acts as a
complement to aid the readers understanding of the general story, while the latter acts as that of the
protagonists life, in the point of view of the protagonist (in this case,) himself. As the text says, the
former, though more popular than the text itself, becomes less meaningful without the original
documents, because the synthesis of the Literature and the illustration is what provides the readers
with the full experience of the book to imagine and be entertained by a story that does not usually
happen (393). To go further, the reader cannot live in it; the reader can only use it as to help one s
imagination/experience of the said fiction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I generally agree with the comments of the MoMA s critique that Wall opened an entirely new way of
illustration, in that Wall s approach was so inviting to the audience. The focal point of the picture is to
the protagonist of the novel, the Invisible Man , and such emphasis does draw some eyes to the
protagonist. However, at the same time, the whole picture is overwhelmed by the number of the
lightbulbs above the man. Though everything is in real life sizes, the amount of the lightbulbs acts as a
hyperbole, as the text suggests (394). Such override of the focus provides the audiences with more
depth of cognition of the situation, and many times, it is not frequently possible in two dimensional
settings, such as (comparatively) plain illustrations like those of Wyeth. In that sense, I think Wall s
photography has opened a new way of the illustration. However, at the same time, I think his
brilliancy is solely due to his use of the medium of photography. In other words, I think his only
contribution to the illustration industry is the use of the film, which conveys different sets of images
and cognition. Films could always do that, and perhaps thousands of the photographers have used such
techniques in their work; there is nothing new about the technique itself. So the only difference Wall
made was his synthesis of the film and the Literature to illustrate that specific

On the other hand, I was slightly surprised that Self Management proved to be my weakest quadrant.
However, I am by no means confused by this when I consider which traits brought that overall score
down. That said, I do agree with my overall quadrant scores and can definitely see these score as an
apt reflection of my personal strengths and weaknesses in these areas. Within the 26 individual trait
scores, I gained a great deal of insight into what areas I excel in and what areas I should focus on
improving. My highest scored traits were Empathy (15), Situational Awareness (14), Service

Immigration, Deportation, And Family Separation By Vanessa...
Are human beings considered illegal? If so, what makes a person illegal? Is it because of their race,
gender, social status, sexual orientation, beliefs, etc. Or is it because they come to a place with hope of
a better future despite that they aren t allowed too. By this, I m talking about the issue of illegal
immigration. Illegal immigration is the problem concerning people who illegally immigrate into the
U.S. Specifically, people from areas like Central America, including Honduras, El Salvador, and

Museum Of Art Analysis
My little legs shuffled along as tried to catch up to my mother, taking the marble staircase two steps at
a time. Why is she so excited, I thought to myself. She slowed down as we entered a tall room, colors
and frames and canvases lined along the walls. I followed behind with an unimpressed glare across my
face and mumbles upon my lips: Why do we always have to come to the art museum. I had seen more
art than any other twelve year old I knew. In fact, at the time I was fairly certain that I had seen more
art than anyone I knew.
She shushed me as we stepped into a small, dark room tucked away in the corner of the museum. She
pointed to a painting not much bigger than my head, and I walked into the surrounding pool of light.
The plaque underneath the painting read Woman Holding a Balance Johannes Vermeer I stood still for
probably the longest I ever had, so perplexed by what hung in front of me. My mind tried to
comprehend how the artist could use shape and color to make such an ordinary woman appear so
complex. I wished to have that same ability to transform lives and ideas, and for one solitary moment I

Stereotypes About Stereotypes
Do we suffer from having stereotypes about and against us? Of course, we ve all had those
experiences where we were held up to a certain standard based on our culture and race. It puts labels
about how a person should act or live according to their sex, race, personality, and other factors. This
could influence individuals who like different things or do different activities, but feel ashamed of
doing so because of stereotypes. We should learn not to judge and perceive people because of what we
think they should be like, and should change our point of view about the stereotypes that are in our
society. In the end, self perception is the only thing that can make or break us.
Presently, people choose to stereotype because I believe we like the idea of labeling ourselves and
others. We stereotype people when we are reluctant to gather the information we need to make a fair
judgement about people or situations. Richard Rodriguez was one of the many people to be
stereotyped. His writing Blaxicans talks about dealing with immigrants who vary of different races
that are entering our borders today. He spends a large portion of his article pointing out that racial
variety is not a new concept in the US. Rodriguez believes that the problem is because a person s
culture is determined by what makes them feel comfortable, and not by what color skin they have or
where they come from. Younger generations no longer see a separation between different cultures, but

Within every company there is a customer, regardless of what your line of business is it is being done

A key premise in quality improvement is that you cannot improve a process until you fully understand
it. When improvements in quality are achieved, teams should continue to strive for further
improvements with the same problem or maybe address the other opportunities that have been
identified.
Health care improvement and high quality care requires more then the technical approach of tools and
methods, improvements often require a change in attitude and sense of ownership for the quality of
serviced provided by an organization. Many supporting factors must integrate QI into the structure and
foundation of the company, these are also known as the building blocks. Improvement also implies
that it will be implemented in a variety of settings, circumstances and various levels within an
organization. The structure has to also define how the different parts and levels of the QI program fit
together and how they will be synchronized.
Characteristics of a Successful Team There have been many researches that studied the characteristics
of a successful team over a period, Belbin s work is one of the most widely known it investigated how
different people within a team adopt different teamwork roles. In order to be successful all quality
improvement teams must have the following characteristics:

How The Concrete Formed After Hydration Essay
INTRODUCTION
When cement is mixed with water in order to prepare concrete, the
hardened concrete formed after hydration is not a solid mass but a porous
material. There is formation of pores due to water which is initially added.
Water occupies some fraction of the total initial volume and after the
hydration of cement water is held physically, chemically or is adsorbed on
product after hydration. This leads to formation of different types of pore
structure inside the hydrated cement.
CLASSIFICATION OF PORES STRUCTURES IN HYDRATED
CEMENT
1. Capillary pores: The hydration of cement leads to formation of a
network of hydrated solid product with the left empty spaces between
the hydrated products that are occupied by water left after hydration.
These residual spaces are known as capillary pores. The capillary porosity
of the cement paste depends on the original water cement ratio and on
the amount of cement that has become hydrated. Capillary pores volume
reduces with time by precipitation of hydrates, into originally water filled
space. Capillary pores have high irregular shapes. Capillary pores are
assumed to have a major effect on transportation process but only minor
effect on hydration rates. These pores represents about 18.5% of the
original volume of dry cement. Further classification of capillary pores are
a) Large capillary pores: These are pores with large space and they
b) Medium capillary pores: These are medium pores

Different Types Of Biobanks Depending On Their Research Goals
Humans have been studying diseased remains for centuries and collecting and maintaining donated
samples for more than a hundred years (Westfall et al 36). Today these places are called biobanks.
Biobanks are institutes that collects and maintains donated samples of human blood, tissues, and any
other collectable genetic material for the purpose of research (Westfall et al 37). At first biobanks were
small and collected samples for specific study purposes. Records were kept in a notebook and
specimens were stored in a few small freezers. Today s biobanks have thousands of specimens, which
are recorded electronically and linked together through the Internet. This web interface connection
allows researchers to search hundreds of biobanks and request specific samples for their research (De
Souza and Greenspan 2). There are many different types of biobanks depending on their research
goals. For example the United States, Iceland, United Kingdom, Sweeden, and Japan have population
based biobanks which collects, records, and studies samples from participants in their population to
study what possible diseases are occurring among their citizens. Other biobanks include genetic,
disease, and virtual biobanks (Westfall et al 36). One of the first cases to present ethical concerns of
biobanks involved a woman named Henrietta Lacks. She was at Johns Hopkins Hospital for cancer
treatments. During this time her cancerous cells were surgically removed and examined. This

Creative Nonfiction Essay On Alcoholism
Creative Nonfiction Essay
A bottle is suddenly broken, a fist is suddenly clenched, his speech is slurred. He gets up to get into his
car out of his sons apartment. Barely making it to the door of the apartment, he falls down once in the
hallway. He is carried down in the elevator to an ambulance. He found out he is going to alcoholic
rehabilitation. This isn t the first time an event like this has happened, but the third time.
While alcoholism is a complex disease, it starts generally as a person being a social drinker. These
people first start as a person who drink during a social occasion, drinking is usually a second activity
for them. The early stage of alcoholism is regularly a person who feels guilty about their drinking, or

The Importance Of Media Writing
Introduction Authors of the book, Reaching Audiences, 6th Ed. (K. McAdams, J. Yopp, 2013),
describe four essential qualities necessary for effective and appropriate media writing. Consequently, a
four pronged approach must include accuracy, clarity, completeness, and fairness, within the writing
process. Additionally, professional writers, Katherine McAdams and Jan Yopp, further explain:
Writing that is accurate, clear, complete, and fair has a better chance of holding audiences, particularly
those who might be clicking through websites or leafing through magazines (2013). Moreover, writers
must create engaging articles as readers are bombarded with competing news stories from a variety of
sources, on a daily basis. Therefore, capturing readers attention is only the beginning of the intended
goal for writers. The next important step is keeping readers engaged by ensuring there are no
grammatical errors; writing in a simple language; satisfying the reader by answering questions; and,
by striving to be objective. In the end, a writers task is to incorporate the four essential elements of
effective and appropriate media writing within the writing process.
Analyzing News Articles Obviously, business owners and individuals tune in to the news when the
issue of tax cuts is raised by the government. Yet, individuals and many news reports are skeptical of a
tax plan proposed by Congress. While the administration promises a middle class tax cut, an article
published on businessinsider.com disagrees, as the title exclaims: Here s how the Trump tax plan
would raise taxes on many middle income families (J. Barro, 2017). Effectively, contents of the
proposal as well as its probable effect on businesses and individuals are reported in debt in the written
piece by Josh Barro. As a result, his analysis confirms that businesses will benefit from the proposed
tax cuts. However, upon further assessment, the final breakdown for individuals is not so positive. In
other words, individual tax payers will see their tax bill increase under the new proposal. Accordingly,
research performed by other online news outlets confirms this reporting, including; salon.com,
washingtonpost.com, cnn.com, and forbes.com. In

It is our argument that the forces of change that led originally to new and bigger opportunities remain the same, despite surface differences. This paper explores some of the key issues related to entering this market. It provides an examination of effective marketing strategies and how the marketing knowledge can be used to enter and succeed in Japan. It outlines six specific marketing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Over a decade ago, A 1995 Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) survey of foreign affiliated firms in Japan (at least one third foreign ownership), found that 65.4 percent reviewed their business as successful while just 1 percent assessed their business as unsuccessful. More than 70 percent were planning to expand their business activities over the next five years within those successful businesses in spite of the economic crisis. The main area of expansion was sales and marketing activities. Eighty five percent of those companies that intended to expand their Japanese operations said sales and marketing was the primary area targeted for expansion (Banerji Sambharya, 1996). This probably reflects an understanding that in the middle of the economic difficulties, Japan s market revolution is still creating significant opportunities. Foreign firms are coming into Japan in record numbers. For example, huge Western superstores are coming into Japan on the tail winds of the deregulation of large retail stores. Toys R Us had a hard time to enter Japan in 1991, but by late 1997 was posting annual sales of 100 billion yen, with 10 percent of the market. It became the leading toy retailer in Japan. Resistance from a group of 500 small stores, which formed the Association of Toy Specialty Stores had not been able to stop this invasion, and its membership declined to just over fifty stores six years after Toys R Us arrived (Delios, et al. 2007). ... Culture is something that defines what our beliefs are and how we handle certain situations. People all around the world have their own culture that they considered to be normal. In one article Barthelme writes, When mothers and infants are observed playing with toys in their own home [...] it is found that American mothers label toys and point out their attributes more often than do Japanese mothers. By contrast, Japanese mothers tend to engage their infants in social routines more than do American mothers. American mothers emphasis on labelling objects might lead infants to focus on the objects and their appropriate categorizations whereas Japanese mothers emphasis on social practices might direct infants attention to the relationship or to the context in which the object is located (Barthelme). The family dynamic in the different cultures show that if one day a person from each culture saws how the other acted they would judge. Richard M. The indecent and improper behavior being displayed by these characters are not to be emulated because it has a negative effect on the society, especially on children because the promote the use of drugs, alcohol and foul languages. Reality shows such as Jersey Shore and Real World on MTV promote nothing but alcoholism. People get hired just to have fun, involving alcohol. People get the wrong impression of how to act and behave, making them think that the only way to have fun is by drinking alcohol and getting drunk. Most people in the society today believe that alcohols consumed on shows make it seem cool or fun to drink and get drunk. In this case, action takes four distinct activities: advocacy, policy, learning as a lifelong process and involvement in philanthropy. This action can be applied through community based participatory research which is a research partnership seeking the involvement of all members of the community. Under this approach, all participants contribute their knowledge to the process in an effort to better the quality of life in that community members (Israel et al., 2008). It is because there are so many under served populations and in under serving these populations nursing fails to live up to its professional and this is a policy change that must be made. This issue of public policy, that is, the issue of the prevalence of under served populations which clearly requires changing, and the role that nursing can play in this public policy process is discussed at length in Burkhardt and Nathaniel (2013). I think the whole end of the Cold War greatly affected this dance. I think by using contact improvisation it sort of represented people s feelings better by being able to interact with each other. So by using contact improvisation I think the dancers were able to get their point across to the audience better. Therefore, the end of the Cold War was probably very important for contact improvisation and expressing yourself. Here, Holden gives the hat to Phoebe in hopes that it will protect her from whatever societal harshness or hardships she undergoes while he is at Mr. Antolini s house. This hunting hat jointly symbolizes protection and isolation. It is a way of isolating oneself from all of the phony people because as Holden himself admits on multiple occasions, it is ugly and displeasing to the eye. This could potentially be a way by which he tries to deter himself from all of the phoniness in the world. Neo Classicism in France and the United States The classical style of the ancient Athens, derived from Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome in the 15th century, has had a universal impact on many cultures during previous time periods. The classical period reflected traditional forms focused on symmetry and elegance; it flourished during the time of the Renaissance through artist such as Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo De Vinci. The artists main goal was to attain the absolute beauty in their art by showing emotion through detail, almost through perfection. Some examples of well known classical arts during the Renaissance were Belvedere Torso and the Medici Venus . In the 17th century the classical style was revived, now called the neo classical style. The neo classical principles were based around the same characteristics as the classical arts such as: balance, proportion, order, simplicity, clarity, and reason. It was strongest in architect, sculpture, and decorative arts. The neo classical style continued to spread throughout the world and became sought after in the 17th and 18th century in countries such as France and The United States, and it influenced some of the greatest government buildings in America. Likewise everything in this world is illusion and is temporary. According to Buddhism, reflection of yourself is enlightment. Reflection means finding answers for Who am I? Why am I here? Where do I go after death? What will I be? But Plato s view is that knowing reality is enlightment. Reality means form of good. • 29. Objective Racism Objective Racism: An essay on how segregation affected the USA, and its lingering effect on the nation The United States of America is one of the best countries in the world. The country considers its start as a nation to be 1776, and since then, America has stood for freedom all around the world. The USA has had military supremacy for years; considered one of the only superpowers in the world currently. Most importantly, however, is that it is a melting pot of different ethnic groups and cultures. Sadly, most places in America do not contain this important standard of no prejudice. After the Plessy v. Ferguson case, subtle racism became more abundant throughout the south, and although the government resolved main problem in the 60 s, racism still abides on both ends today. In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued the emancipation proclamation. This act freed thousands of slaves, and enacted the abolition of slavery after the north won the Civil War. In turn, legislation passed many amendments prohibiting any discrimination of blacks. In 1883, the Supreme Court ruled against this amendment, they ruled that, The 14th Amendment did not give Congress authority to prevent discrimination by private individuals. So when the states got the power to decide, most states decided to pass laws known as Jim Crow laws. These laws segregated blacks and whites in almost all ways of life, from schools to railroad carts. In 1892, Homer Plessy, a mixed man, sat in a white ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. August 2026 There Will Come Soft Rain And A Sound Of... Both short stories, August 2026: There Will Come Soft Rain, and A Sound of Thunder are written by Ray Bradbury. In these stories Bradbury describes futuristic details relating back to a historical event that happen during the time he wrote the stories. These pieces of literature were influenced by the political, social, and cultural climate of that time period. This helps the readers view both stories through a lens of new historicism by revealing the relation of past wars and the upcoming of new presidents in Bradbury s short stories. In A Sound of Thunder, Ray Bradbury starts his story in the 2055 and time travels backward. The story tells about a group traveling back in time to hunt dinosaurs, but one of the travelers, Eckels, steps on a butterfly and then sets off a ripple in time. Before they began their travels, Eckles and the man behind the desk talk about the recent election. They converse about how happy they were that keith won the election and not Deutscher because Deutscher would have been the worst kind of dictatorship. The man behind the desk was thrilled about the win for keith, just as Eckles was. This creates a comparison to when Bradbury wrote the short story, which was in 1952. In 1952, there was an election between Dwight D. Eisenhower and Adlai E. Stevenson which concluded with Eisenhower s victory by a landslide. Stevenson didn t get many votes due to his views and beliefs, just like Deutscher. Which is a key point and why bradbury included ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Peter visited a laboratory to see a famous doctor and was bit by a spider that gave him superpowers. Peter was given powers such as super strength, fast reflexes and the ability to shoot webs from his hands. There are four different movies of Spider Man fighting villains. My favorite villain that Spider Man faced was Doctor Octopus. Doctor Octopus was an intelligent mad scientist (Otto Octavius), who built four, powerful mechanical appendages and attached the appendages to himself. In Spider Man 2, Doctor Octopus would rob banks so that he can buy expensive equipment for his lab. The equipment Doctor Octopus bought resembles how much of a genius he desired to be. ... Doctor Octopus believed that his four mechanical appendages was enough to stop Spider Man, but he was unsuccessful in doing so. Spider Man 2 is my favorite movie because even though Spider Man was new at being a superhero he prevailed over evil. After seeing all the materialism there is in the world, Francis wants to get rid of all his possessions and live as the beggars do so that he would be able to find true happiness in living a simple life. Divided into 31 states and 1 federal district, the vast area of land is home to more Spanish speakers than any other nation in the world. This country, The Estados Unidos Mexicanos (Mexico), has acquired a rich history, retained government that has remained optimistic about the future, despite facing frequent hardships, and the influence of past culture remains obvious. The first major civilization in Mexico, the Olmec, dates back to 1200 BC. They resided in the southern regions of present day Mexico, and spent the majority of their time nurturing crops, such as corn, beans, chili peppers, and cotton. They recorded their culture s history using graphic symbols, and took part in creating fine art and pottery. In 400 BC, the Olmec civilization died out, which gave way to multiple other civilizations; the 3 most notable are the Mayans, Toltecs, and Aztecs. The Mayans, often remembered for their intellect, also produced admirable pottery and art. Their arithmetic, writing, astronomy, and architecture skills surpassed that of their predecessors. The Mayans developed an extremely accurate calendar, which divided a year into 365 days (Tondering). In addition, they built large pyramids to reference as calendars. • 34. Symbolism In The Invisible Man 1. The chief difference between Wyeth s painting and Wall s photography is that the former acts as a complement to aid the readers understanding of the general story, while the latter acts as that of the protagonists life, in the point of view of the protagonist (in this case,) himself. As the text says, the former, though more popular than the text itself, becomes less meaningful without the original documents, because the synthesis of the Literature and the illustration is what provides the readers with the full experience of the book to imagine and be entertained by a story that does not usually happen (393). To go further, the reader cannot live in it; the reader can only use it as to help one s imagination/experience of the said fiction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I generally agree with the comments of the MoMA s critique that Wall opened an entirely new way of illustration, in that Wall s approach was so inviting to the audience. The focal point of the picture is to the protagonist of the novel, the Invisible Man , and such emphasis does draw some eyes to the protagonist. However, at the same time, the whole picture is overwhelmed by the number of the lightbulbs above the man. Though everything is in real life sizes, the amount of the lightbulbs acts as a hyperbole, as the text suggests (394). Such override of the focus provides the audiences with more depth of cognition of the situation, and many times, it is not frequently possible in two dimensional settings, such as (comparatively) plain illustrations like those of Wyeth. In that sense, I think Wall s photography has opened a new way of the illustration. However, at the same time, I think his brilliancy is solely due to his use of the medium of photography. In other words, I think his only contribution to the illustration industry is the use of the film, which conveys different sets of images and cognition. Films could always do that, and perhaps thousands of the photographers have used such techniques in their work; there is nothing new about the technique itself. So the only difference Wall made was his synthesis of the film and the Literature to illustrate that specific ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It puts labels about how a person should act or live according to their sex, race, personality, and other factors. This could influence individuals who like different things or do different activities, but feel ashamed of doing so because of stereotypes. We should learn not to judge and perceive people because of what we think they should be like, and should change our point of view about the stereotypes that are in our society. In the end, self perception is the only thing that can make or break us. Presently, people choose to stereotype because I believe we like the idea of labeling ourselves and others. We stereotype people when we are reluctant to gather the information we need to make a fair judgement about people or situations. Richard Rodriguez was one of the many people to be stereotyped. His writing Blaxicans talks about dealing with immigrants who vary of different races that are entering our borders today. How The Concrete Formed After Hydration Essay INTRODUCTION When cement is mixed with water in order to prepare concrete, the hardened concrete formed after hydration is not a solid mass but a porous material. There is formation of pores due to water which is initially added. Water occupies some fraction of the total initial volume and after the hydration of cement water is held physically, chemically or is adsorbed on product after hydration. This leads to formation of different types of pore structure inside the hydrated cement. CLASSIFICATION OF PORES STRUCTURES IN HYDRATED CEMENT 1. Capillary pores: The hydration of cement leads to formation of a network of hydrated solid product with the left empty spaces between the hydrated products that are occupied by water left after hydration. These residual spaces are known as capillary pores. The capillary porosity of the cement paste depends on the original water cement ratio and on the amount of cement that has become hydrated. Capillary pores volume reduces with time by precipitation of hydrates, into originally water filled space. Capillary pores have high irregular shapes. Capillary pores are assumed to have a major effect on transportation process but only minor effect on hydration rates. These pores represents about 18.5% of the

Biobanks are institutes that collects and maintains donated samples of human blood, tissues, and any other collectable genetic material for the purpose of research (Westfall et al 37). At first biobanks were small and collected samples for specific study purposes. Records were kept in a notebook and specimens were stored in a few small freezers. Yopp, 2013), describe four essential qualities necessary for effective and appropriate media writing. Consequently, a four pronged approach must include accuracy, clarity, completeness, and fairness, within the writing process. Additionally, professional writers, Katherine McAdams and Jan Yopp, further explain: Writing that is accurate, clear, complete, and fair has a better chance of holding audiences, particularly those who might be clicking through websites or leafing through magazines (2013). Moreover, writers must create engaging articles as readers are bombarded with competing news stories from a variety of sources, on a daily basis. Therefore, capturing readers attention is only the beginning of the intended goal for writers. The next important step is keeping readers engaged by ensuring there are no grammatical errors; writing in a simple language; satisfying the reader by answering questions; and, by striving to be objective. In the end, a writers task is to incorporate the four essential elements of effective and appropriate media writing within the writing process. Analyzing News Articles Obviously, business owners and individuals tune in to the news when the issue of tax cuts is raised by the government. Yet, individuals and many news reports are skeptical of a tax plan proposed by Congress. While the administration promises a middle class tax cut, an article published on businessinsider.com disagrees, as the title exclaims: Here s how the Trump tax plan would raise taxes on many middle income families (J. As a result, his analysis confirms that businesses will benefit from the proposed tax cuts. However, upon further assessment, the final breakdown for individuals is not so positive. In other words, individual tax payers will see their tax bill increase under the new proposal.
