Hamlet’s Astounding Success Essay
Hamlet s Astounding Success
What secret formula did the playwright William Shakespeare use in the recipe for the tragedy Hamlet?
Why, this play has been the rage for 400 years! Let s analyze the reasons for its success.
A.C. Bradley tells in his book of criticism, Shakespearean Tragedy, the extreme importance of the
character of Hamlet to the rating of the play:
Naturally then, the tragedy of Hamlet with Hamlet left out has become the symbol of extreme
absurdity; while the character itself has probably exerted a great fascination, and certainly has been
the subject of more discussion, than any other in the whole literature of the world. (94)
In total agreement with Bradley are other critics, one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

There is no more exalted ranking than the above. Richard A. Lanham in the essay Superposed Plays
maintains that no other English tragedy has generated the literary comment which this play has
produced: Hamlet is one of the great tragedies. It has generated more comment than any other written
document in English literature, one would guess, reverent, serious comment on it as a serious play
(91). Robert B. Heilman in The Role We Give Shakespeare relates the high ranking of Shakespeare to
the innumerableness of the parts :
But the Shakespeare completeness appears graspable and possessable to many men at odds with each
other, because of the innumerableness of the parts: these parts we may consider incompletenesses,
partial perspectives, and as such they correspond to the imperfect (but not necessarily invalid) modes
of seeing and understanding [. . .] . (10)
Indeed, the reader finds a wide variety of parts from beginning to end of Hamlet. This is seen in the
fact of over 20 characters with speaking roles; and in their variety of occupations from king to grave
digger; and in the 20 different scene changes; and in the differentiation

Deviant behavior of college freshmen: A literature review
Introduction
Peer influence and the freedom enjoyed by college students have created a social dilemma due to the
emergence of behaviors that contravenes the social norm. Such behaviors, otherwise known as deviant
behaviors, are defined as a set of practices or approaches to life that go against the set standard or
norms. The growth of deviant behavior in college students has been associated with a number of
biological, environmental and social factors inherent within the institutions. Though behavioral
deviance is affected by time and place, college freshmen have adopted a fairly uniform sociological
character.
Deviant behavior is directly responsible for poor academic performance, substance abuse and
increased student involvement in criminal activities. In most instances, students have engaged in
activities such as binge drinking, body piercing, hard substance abuse among other criminal activities
as a result of deviance in their behaviors. This literature review will analyze a number of scholarly
publications and books on deviant behaviors in college freshmen.
The sources reviewed will be grouped based on the nature of deviant behaviors tackled, the method of
investigation and the similarity in their findings. An examination of the articles that will be reviewed
shows that the deviant behavior

Analysis Of The Book Kazuo Ishiguro
Kazuo Ishiguro, although still alive, has already changed the face of the field of literature. He has
done this through the variant style with which he writes and the way that his Japanese background
influences his writing (Sim). He has a unique writing style that is seldom mirrored in the works of
other writers in the same genre (Brownstein). Many critics note that he is always producing different
books that have such diverse plots which proves that the most exciting thing about his work is just this
refusal to stand still as a writer, this desire to push the envelope (Sim). Kazuo Ishiguro is a writer who,
like many, enjoys exploring a certain topic or emotion, and he especially liked writing about how
regrets and memories affect people throughout life (Taylor). His utilization of memories and regrets
helps him make deep meaningful characters who allow people to sympathize with their causes
(Taylor). Kazuo Ishiguro s most important contribution to literature is the variety he adds to his field
by incorporating his Japanese heritage, his twist endings that surprise readers, the emotions of
memories and regret to allow for realistic characters, and his diverse range of writing.
Kazuo Ishiguro is a British writer who specializes in contemporary fiction. Kazuo Ishiguro has a
vastly different background from other British writers in his field as he was born November 8, 1954 in
Nagasaki, Japan and then moved to England at the age of five in 1960. He then went to

Abstract
This paper talks about the great educational giant Earl Warren, his life, and most importantly his
accomplishments. It explores Warren s impact on the American Public school system and his impact
on America as a whole. It goes into great detail about Warren s life and explains why he is such a
political icon within the United States. The most important information within this paper which has
given Warren the title as an educational giant is the impact which he had in the case of Brown vs

Process Of A Bill Becoming A Law In The State Of Texas
The process of a bill becoming a law in the state of Texas can be harsh and brutal. With the number of
complicated steps accompanied by the forces of many different delay tactics, the process can prove to
be exhausting.
There are seven basic steps: Introduction, referral or assignment to house or senate committees,
considered in house or senate committees, placement of bill on a legislative calendar, considered on
the house or senate floor, signed or vetoed by governor, and lastly the bill does or does not become a
law.
Introduction of a bill requires both house and senate members to file a written bill with each of their
corresponding clerk members. The clerk then submits the bill to alphanumeric designation where it is
available to the eyes of lawmakers and citizens so that they make track its progress. There is a specific
time bills can be submitted. They can be submitted the Monday after the November general election.
This step can be influenced by many figures outside of Legislative. Interests groups influence
legislation as well as the Governor can influence legislation. At this point there are no delay tactics
that could prevent the bill from moving on to step two.
After introduction of the bill, the referral or assignment to house or senate then takes place. In other
words, the bill is assigned to standing committee. The Speaker and Lieutenant Governor appoint
committee members and chairs. This gives the presiding officers great power and these vital decisions

Jingle Ball Concert
Sunday, December 10 was a night to remember. Kiss 108 s Jingle Ball took place, at TD Garden,
Boston. The opening acts began at 6 pm. The one downside to this was I had a basketball game right
before the concert. As a result, I missed most of the opening performers. However, this concert was
still the best I have ever attended. The acts I missed were the boy band, Why Don t We and Girl Meets
World star Sabrina Carpenter singing two of her songs.
On the way into the concert, there was a vendor selling t shirts, after bargaining, we bought the shirts
for only $10. We quickly paid for them and ran into the stadium. Luckily, I made it just in time for the
last opening act, Max Schneider. Additional performers of the night included: Camila Cabello, Charlie
Puth, Kelly Clarkson, Halsey, Fifth Harmony, and lastly Fall Out Boy. Each sang two to four songs.
This concert was a nine act, 3 1/2 hour show.
The arena was packed with fans all different ages, all with pulsing energy. People wore festive outfits
and most were in the holiday spirit. I attended the concert with four of my closest friends, we had been
planning the night out for months. Our seats were located in section 6, just left of the stage. We had a

Consequences Of Unisciplined Children In The Veldt By Ray...
Consequences of undisciplined children Many people have witnessed a toddler having a meltdown in
public only to have a parent sooth them by giving in to the child s demand. Although sometimes this
can be a beneficial parenting technique, if a parent over indulges a child too often, then that child can
become spoiled. However in The Veldt , Ray Bradbury challenges the idea of satisfying children; he
suggests through his tragic tale of the spoiled and undisciplined children Wendy and Peter, that over
indulged kids will be taught to not value their family. Through the use of spoiling kids, harms of
technology, and conflict, Ray Bradbury shows children need to be disciplined in order to be well
rounded individuals. Bradbury uses spoiling Wendy and Peter to show they weren t well rounded, by
emphasizing that they were over indulged in materialistic wants. When parents Lydia and George
were talking, Lydia explained, They re insufferable let s admit it. They come and go when they like;
they treat us as if we were offspring. They re spoiled and we re spoiled. The description of how the
parents feel provides the reader with a better understanding that even the parents can no longer control
Wendy and Peter s disrespectful ways caused by their mistakes of spoiling the children. Bradbury
establishes the kids as so over indulged that even Lydia and George could not discipline the children if
they put their minds to it. Towards the end of the story we see that not being able to

Controlling Images of Black Womanhood
In Patricia Hill Collins Mammies, Matriarchs, and Other Controlling Images, she illustrates four main
stereotypes that Black women face. The first controlling image applied to African American women is
The Mammy. The mammy is the faithful, obedient servant to the white family and the stereotype
attempts to hide the fact that black women who work for white families are being exploited. By loving
and caring for her white children more than her own, the mammy symbolizes the dominant group s
perceptions of the ideal black female relationship to elite white male power. The smiling mammy
signals her agreement with the situation, seemingly accepting her subordination (Collins, 71). Next is
the image of the Black matriarch (Collins, 73). According to the stereotype, they spend too much time
away from home, are overly aggressive and unfeminine, and allegedly emasculate their lovers and
husbands. This stereotype attempts to control conduct by punishing black women for assertiveness
and hides the oppression by making it seem that black women are naturally this way (Collins, 74 75).
The third controlling image of Black womanhood is that of the welfare mother, which is linked to
Black women s increasing dependence on the welfare state (Collins, 76). This time, the punishment is
for failing to work. Rather than being a bad mother for deserting the children, now the concern is
being with the children too much and not working. Again, by pinpointing the Welfare Mother as the
cause,

Family Planning And Poverty
The mainstreaming of the family planning agenda in many countries over the decades has been
accompanied by increased researcher interest in the subject, with a lot of research attention being
focused on the link between family planning and poverty. Empirical research studies using standard
economic models have demonstrated that increased access to family planning services is associated
with lower rates of poverty. This effect has been posited as occurring through a number of channels.
The first channel is the family size channel. As per this channel, increased access to family planning
reduces the number of children per family, which results into parents devoting more time and
resources per child, and occasioning higher per child investment that should lead to material decline in
household poverty (Bailey, Malkova and McLaren, 2013). The second channel is the household
income channel. Here, increased access to family planning services helps to free up more resources,
which can then be invested in the improvement of the human capital of the parents. For instance,
delaying parenthood can enable the soon to be parents to pursue further education, gain more work
experience, or enroll for further job training, and thus raise their lifetime earnings levels (Bailey,
Malkova and Norling, 2014). For instance, Bailey, Hershbein, and Miller (2012) demonstrated that
women who had access to the pill were able to delay motherhood and to invest in their careers,
resulting in higher wage

Sugar: the Sweet Poison
Contemporary Issues in Adolescent Health Wellbeing
WOOLSTON, Kristina
8/26/2014
Sugar is delicious it is a fast source of energy and sometimes cheaper than buying healthy foods. But
Australian teenagers need to wake up to the fact that they are consuming too much of it, the
consequences it is having on their lives.
Introduction
Sugar tastes good, can be used for baking and is a quick source of energy; however what is the reality
of eating sugar? In what way does it affect our bodies and minds to give a short boost of energy?
According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, in Australia, 24.9% of adolescents
between the ages of five and seventeen are overweight or obese
(AustralianInstituteofHealthandWelfare, 2013). As the number of overweight teenagers in Australia
continued to rise, researchers looked for a reason for these overwhelming numbers and discovered that
Australian teenagers were consuming over 53kg of sugar each year, which is around 29 teaspoons of
both natural and added sugar each day (Cowan, 2014).
How is sugar digested?
Sugar is a Carbohydrate and provides a source of energy in the body. It is the only source of energy
for red blood cells and the brain. It is digested quickly and broken down to form glucose and fructose,
which is used for energy (My Food Diary, 2014). Fructose,

The South Texas Ecosystems Essay
In south Texas there are several types of ecosystems one of those ecosystems are the dunes. South
Texas dunes are found along the Texas coastline and the general abiotic conditions are sandy soil, high
salt content, some fresh water, flooding in the occasion of severe storms and moisture from rain and
waves. Sea Oats and Bitter Pancum are two types of plants that dominate the South Texas dunes.
Bitter Pancum adaptation for living in this type of ecosystem is that they are tolerant to high salinity.

energy, high temperatures, and muddy soils. Black Mangrove and Buttonwood are the dominant plant
species in South Texas Mangrove Forest ecosystem. Buttonwood is adapted to this ecosystem because
it resides inland where there is less salty conditions. Black Mangrove is adapted to sandy salty clay
soil and requires protection from wave action and they are sensitive to cold weather. Some common
animal species that live in Mangrove Forests are many species of fish, crabs, mollusks, and birds.
Mangrove forests provide a habitat, shelter, and nursery to these species that reside in this ecosystem.
Mangrove forest serve as a coastal protection from severe storms and hurricanes also help remove

The Human Landscape Of Canada

Population growth in British Columbia is among the fastest in all of Canada (British Colombia
Environmental Reporting BC, 2016). The current population for B.C. is around 4.4 million people,
which is 13% of Canadas total population (Mandres, 2016). B.C. is a growing population with an
average of 4.8 people per square Km. 60% of the population is located in the South Western part of
the province. This is known as the Georgia Straight Region. This highly populated area can be seen in

and high levels of transportation networks. With the high volume of people living around the heart of

Abc Legal Case
We all have occasion to disagree with others either at work, in friendships or other social and
community interactions, but most of the time, we are able to resolve these disagreements, if not
completely amicably, at least to the extent that we can still associate with the person or persons
involved. Sadly, this is often not what happens in family disputes, which can quickly escalate into
open warfare with neither side wanting to give ground. If you or someone you know is in an untenable
position in a family dispute, the best option is to seek legal advice as quickly as possible. Many people
lose out in these situations because the emotional entanglements are more difficult to deal with than
the legal ones. They become angry, hurt and frustrated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Comparing the Quest in M. Butterfly and American Beauty
The Quest in M. Butterfly and American Beauty
Happiness is defined as enjoying, showing, or characterized by pleasure; joyous; contented. Based on
this definition we all search for happiness our entire lives. Two very different stories address this idea
of the quest for happiness. M. Butterfly by David Henry Hwang is the story of a man named
Gallimard who is longing for his love Butterfly to return to him. John Deeney describes it as him,
clinging to his idea of a Perfect Woman to the end by costuming himself into the victimized Butterfly
though his final suicide. Although Gallimard s infatuation with Song sometimes makes him cut a
rather ridiculous figure, his dead seriousness at the end evokes a certain amount of pathos and ... Show

Not only is he using Gallimard for the government, but also for the control he has over him. Song
knows that Gallimard thinks he is the perfect woman. He allows him to believe this for more than
twenty years during their affair. It was not until the end that Song told Gallimard the truth. Song lived
most of her life as a lie, only because she thought it was making her happy.
On the other side of Song s insecure image was his lover Gallimard. Gallimard first lived a happy life
with his lover Song. He changed his whole life and even got a promotion because of his new attitude.
Not praising himself he said, It is because of you that I was promoted tonight. You have changed my
life forever. My little Butterfly, there should be no more secrets: I love you (Meyer 1233). Gallimard
truly loved Song and after finding out that Song was really a man, he was crushed. He was ridiculed
everywhere because people could not understand how he did not know he was dating another man. He
replied, This is the ultimate cruelty, isn t it? That I can talk and talk and to anyone listening, it only air
too rich a diet to be swallowed by a mundane world. Why can t anyone understand? That in China, I
once loved, and was loved by, very simply, the Perfect Woman (Meyer 1250). After all of his

Alarms were developed and added to the mixers that will alert operations when a mixer did not get all

prevented small production upsets from getting worse due to over hydrolyzed dope.

Civic Mirror Analysis
Authorization is an imperative component for any society. Civic Mirror taught our class the necessity
for bureaucracy in today s life. Government enforces correct behavior in organizing every individual
for further equality. In civic mirror, Congress composed laws to reinforce civility. If citizens acted
against this reinforcement, a trial would be held. In addition to emphasized legislation, administration
of necessary goods also justifies the importance for government. The provided prices for essentials
were very inexpensive compared to the private marketers. The primary action the authority takes is
implementing God given rights. In the taught simulation, every individual was granted the right to a
fair trial, for every case required an impartial jury. The importance of government is integral in the
provision of necessary guidance to its citizens as shown through Civic Mirror.

The entablature and pediment rest on top of the columns, forming post and lintel construction. The
entablature often contains friezes in the Ionic order, and metopes and triglyphs in the Doric. The
metopes were often painted and the triglyphs may have symbolized wood cross beams that would
have been used before the knowledge of stone construction was developed. The Ionic friezes often
contained sculpted figures that relate in some way to the functionality of the temple or building. The
pediment, which rests on the entablature, usually has the shape of an isosceles triangle with sculpture
that varies from low relief to sculpture in the round.
The organization of the columns around the main body of the temple varies in about five major styles.
The first three have a small rectangular shaped building called a cella with two to four columns in
front, as with the in antis style and the prostyle, or with an additional four columns in back as with the
amphiprostyle temples. The last two styles consist of a larger rectangular building divided into two
rooms, one functioning as a cella. These two styles are mainly differentiated by one row of columns
surrounding the structure, called peripteral, or with two rows of columns, called dipteral. If one looks

differences occur.

Lord Of The Flies Evil Character Analysis
In William Golding s novel Lord of The Flies he shows how evil exists inside of everyone, it is the
situation a person finds themselves in allows evil to grow or be controlled. The three boys are an
example of this. Jack who only thinks about himself he wants everything immediately which makes
his evil grow. Ralph, however, thinks about others but at times can be selfish which can make his evil
grow, but Ralph tries to keep his evil at bay. Simon on the other hand only thinks about others, he does
not think about himself which stops his evil from arising. Therefore, control of the situation is control
of evil self.
To begin with Jack, Jack wants power and leadership. The situation Jack is in makes his evil grow.
Jack is letting the situation control him which is increasing the evil inside of him. The evil inside him
is making him more selfish and violent. For example, at the starting of the novel when Jack had failed
to kill the pig he cries to Ralph, [Jack] tried to convey the compulsion to track down and kill that was
swallowing him up. I went on. I thought, by myself The madness came into his eyes again. I thought I
might kill. (Golding 51). The quote shows how at the starting of the novel Jack had good inside of him
as he had feared killing an animal which makes sense as he is a kid. This shows that Jack was not evil
from the beginning. But the situation and atmosphere increase the evil inside of him when he says, I
thought I might kill this shows how the

Leif Enger Symbolism
Birds represent God s presence unless they are interfered with people. Leif Enger strategically created
hidden places for the references of birds into his story that become a scavenger hunt for the reader.
The Lands encounter a lot of positive and negative occasions with birds. Though God guides them
along this journey to find Jeremiah s son, Davy, God finds ways to show his presence through others.
In this book, God appears through many symbols of birds. His presence appears through people or in
new places. But, when birds are interfered with people, their positive presence of God has a negative
turn. It determines how the next portion of the Land s journey will go and their luck to come. Towards

This seemed as though it were a sign from God. So far, Leif Enger has used Birds in his story as
representations of God s presence. This part in the novel, however, is somewhat opposite. After the
Lands had stopped by August and Birdie s place, they stared to drive across the boarder into North
Dakota. As they were driving on an open road with no other approaching cars, Swede noticed
something black, flapping in the middle of the road up ahead. They later realize it is a dead crow. This
however was not common what so ever to see a crow in North Dakota. They thought nothing of it and
proceeded on their journey. As they kept driving, there was yet another crow found dead in the middle
of the road. Jeremiah later goes on to say, I was just thinking, all the years I spent in North Dakota,
that s the first crow I ever saw hit on the road. (page 134) Enger purposefully made Jeremiah s line
prominent to tell the reader that this was very suspicious and out of the ordinary to see not one, but
two dead crows on their way. God still seemed to appear at this moment but in a different perception.
God seemed to be warning them that something bad was yet to come. Perhaps if the crows weren t
found dead, they could have meaning that the Land s were headed in the right direction. Although
because the crows were dead, the Land s were followed with bad news the next day. This shows that
God s presence has been represented through birds. Although, when birds are interfered with people,
such as possibly crows being hit by a vehicle, they lose the presence of God and bad news is yet to

Gas Prices and their effect on the Economy at the Jersey Shore 1 Gas Prices and their effect on the
Economy at the Jersey Shore Introduction: Gas prices have been showing an increasing trend for the
last few years. This increase has largely affected all the sectors of the economy. The segments of the
society which have taken the biggest negative impact of increasing gas prices are the households and
businesses (Davidson). This paper focuses on discussing the most significant impacts of gas prices on
the economy at the Jersey Shore in the light of recent trends and research studies. The Jersey Shore
constitutes the Atlantic Coast of the New Jersey State and its adjacent residential societies. It is one of
the most favorite locations for the citizens of New York and Pennsylvania to spend their vacations
outside their home states. The costs of living and doing business, the level of unemployment, and the
rate of inflation in Jersey Shore are comparatively lower than the U.S average which make the
business growth opportunities more attractive than those in various other states of the country (Baum).

Mischaracterization Of Cinderella
Cinderella was created from an old folk tale by Charles Perrault in 1867 which was later modified by
the Grimm Brothers. The elements of the story like the fairy godmother, the pumpkin coach, and the
glass slipper made it famous. The story pointed out that Cinderella, a kindhearted and patient young
girl, was abused by her stepfamily after the death of her parents. Up till the end of the story, she stayed
humble and forgiving even though her life was turned upside down when she married the prince in her
kingdom. Cinderella is considered the most retold fairytale of all as it has been adapted through the

These girls will create a prince charming concept in which prince charming is tall, dark, and
handsome (Steinzeig, 2012). When this situation is not treated, this may lead to a psychological
dependency syndrome called the Cinderella Complex (Wang and Liao, n.d.).
According to Wang and Liao (n.d.), Cinderella complex is a psychological dependency syndrome in
which women unconsciously depend on others (i.e., men) for their source of happiness and a sense of
self worth. These women grew up believing that they need to be rescued by someone (i.e., prince
charming) or an external force (i.e., magical powers) in order for a change in their lives.
If little girls are going to grow up like this, then the fight for antifeminism would be useless.
According to Valterra (2015), women having Cinderella Complex allow themselves to become
passive, since there will be someone/something to take care of them. In addition, once prince
charming leaves their lives, they become pieces of a confused, angry, and lonely person. Thus, the
future generation will be at risk because the children developed a dependency system, instead of an
independent success on his/her own

heavily inspired by youth culture. When he was called to serve in the French Army during the
Algerian War of Independence in 1960, the House of Dior was relieved of his departure; they ushered
Bohan back to Paris and instated him as chief designer and artistic director. Because Bohan s career
had mirrored Dior s, they both trained under Piguet and Molyneux, the

Sebastian Character Monologue
So, if you saw, I changed my mind about the Sebastian x Reader thing. It s going to be all boy
characters (excluding Ciel and Alois, they are gonna be for Luna which I am also going to share her
POV as I said in the last chapter. :D By the way, if you like vocaloid songs, you ll like this song! It s
been my favorite for a while now :D Today was the day after Sebastian informed me about the Ball
and the day before it begins. I promised myself that I wanted to improve my relationships with the
servants of the manor excluding Sebastian. So, what do I do? Help them, of course. Currently, I was
helping Finny trim the rose bushes. It was a really tedious task, because Finny said that Ciel likes only
white roses in the garden. It was awkward because we were too shy to think of anything to say. Hi
Finny, I finally spoke up, not taking my eyes off the rose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Really, all he needed was to chop up vegetables, get a pot to boiling level, drop the vegetables in, and
get some sort of ingredient to make the soup. I forgot which however.. but don t worry. Sebastian has
already made the soup part, we have to just chop up the vegetables and put it in the pot. Oy, Lily, what
vegetables do we need for this again? Baldroy asked, scratching the back of his head. I sighed. Boys
know nothing about cooking, except for Sebastian. We need carrots, cabbage, celery, onions, and
green beans. It s really healthy and delicious once we get it done.. Baldroy just looked at me with a
dumbfounded face. Wha, we need all that?! Can t we just use a flamethrower? It probably works the
same way without vegetables. I mentally sighed. Bard was being an idiot. Can you get them from the
cellar please? I asked, ignoring his previous statement. Alright. Baldroy headed in an unknown
direction and I watched him disappear. I leaned on the counter, waiting for him to come back. Soon
enough he did come back, carrying a sack with vegetables inside

I Am A Middle School Special Education Teacher
Topic Choice I am a middle school special education teacher in a 1:8 resource classroom. I give
specialized math instruction to two sixth grade classes, two seventh grade classes, and two eighth
grade classes. The majority of my students perform between a kindergarten and second grade level.
The exhibited math achievement gap across my classes is disturbing. Even though my students are
identified as special needs, they should have made gains to their ability levels by middle school. Math
skills are necessary skills. Math is everywhere. Students need to learn basic math skills, at minimum,
to be successful in life. After learning basic math skills, they should be exposed to and encouraged to
learn more complex math skills. This will only increase their chances of success. Mathematics are all
around us. It is present in different forms whenever we pick up the phone, play games, manage our
money, travel to some place, play sports, meet new friends; unintentionally in all these things
mathematics are involved (Sumisha, 2012) . To learn math properly, skills should be taught in a
scaffolded manner. Basic math skills should be taught and then built upon, with complex math skills
being the teaching goal. With the incorporation of technology, which is engaging to students, students
will likely learn and be able to independently use more math concepts. The purpose of scaffolding
math instruction is to provide students who have learning problems a teacher supported transition

The Dangers Of Money And Greed In The Pardoners Tale
The danger of money and greed was important in chaucer s time because it describes the character and
what that character was like. For example The immoral Pardoner, who, in a sense, sells away his soul
for the sake of his own avarice, puzzles many modern readers with his strange logic. Already having
laid his considerable guilt upon the table, this corrupted agent of the Church attempts to pawn off his
counterfeit relics for a generous price. Also in the Pardoner s tale the rioters show the dangers on
money and greed because they live loose lives and spend time gambling and drinking in pubs, they are
also disgusting and hateful. A brief summary of the Pardoner tale is The pardoner is a beautiful blonde
haired man who is being loved by everyone. However he is very corrupted and smart and sells fake
religious stuff to people saying very good compliment. On the other hand, the reeve is very serious
and honest business man. He is very smart enough to know what criminals think and do. The pardoner
story tells a great example of the seven deadly sins and reeve s story is mocking of the miller. The
rioters make his own plan to buy poison and kill his friends, and at the end the youngest got stabbed
and killed by the other two,to celebrate the two drank wine which was poisoned by the young
rioter, thus they all died. The moral of this story is that greed can lead to death. Another tale that is an
example is the miller s tale, Symkyn, is very well known for stealing other

Multi-Tiered System Of Support (MTSS)
School districts are facing increasing pressure to adopt universal screening, progress monitoring, and
data based assessments (Civic Impulse, 2016; Every Student Succeeds Acts, 2015; Individuals with
Disabilities Education Improvement Act, 2004;). States are complying with these mandates by use of a
Multi Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework. MTSS uses data based decision making to
inform instruction and interventions that target academic, social, emotional, and behavioral skills from
early childhood to secondary education (Jimerson, Burn s Van Der Heyden, 2016). An important
component of MTSS is delivering interventions and instructions based on student s needs. After
school programs are increasingly being researched as targeted academic, ... Show more content on

  • 2. Hamlet’s Astounding Success Essay Hamlet s Astounding Success What secret formula did the playwright William Shakespeare use in the recipe for the tragedy Hamlet? Why, this play has been the rage for 400 years! Let s analyze the reasons for its success. A.C. Bradley tells in his book of criticism, Shakespearean Tragedy, the extreme importance of the character of Hamlet to the rating of the play: Naturally then, the tragedy of Hamlet with Hamlet left out has become the symbol of extreme absurdity; while the character itself has probably exerted a great fascination, and certainly has been the subject of more discussion, than any other in the whole literature of the world. (94) In total agreement with Bradley are other critics, one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (99) There is no more exalted ranking than the above. Richard A. Lanham in the essay Superposed Plays maintains that no other English tragedy has generated the literary comment which this play has produced: Hamlet is one of the great tragedies. It has generated more comment than any other written document in English literature, one would guess, reverent, serious comment on it as a serious play (91). Robert B. Heilman in The Role We Give Shakespeare relates the high ranking of Shakespeare to the innumerableness of the parts : But the Shakespeare completeness appears graspable and possessable to many men at odds with each other, because of the innumerableness of the parts: these parts we may consider incompletenesses, partial perspectives, and as such they correspond to the imperfect (but not necessarily invalid) modes of seeing and understanding [. . .] . (10) Indeed, the reader finds a wide variety of parts from beginning to end of Hamlet. This is seen in the fact of over 20 characters with speaking roles; and in their variety of occupations from king to grave digger; and in the 20 different scene changes; and in the differentiation ... • 3. Deviant Behavior Of College Freshmen Essay Deviant behavior of college freshmen: A literature review Student s Name Name of Institution Date Deviant behavior of college freshmen: A literature review Introduction Peer influence and the freedom enjoyed by college students have created a social dilemma due to the emergence of behaviors that contravenes the social norm. Such behaviors, otherwise known as deviant behaviors, are defined as a set of practices or approaches to life that go against the set standard or norms. The growth of deviant behavior in college students has been associated with a number of biological, environmental and social factors inherent within the institutions. Though behavioral deviance is affected by time and place, college freshmen have adopted a fairly uniform sociological character. Deviant behavior is directly responsible for poor academic performance, substance abuse and increased student involvement in criminal activities. In most instances, students have engaged in activities such as binge drinking, body piercing, hard substance abuse among other criminal activities as a result of deviance in their behaviors. This literature review will analyze a number of scholarly publications and books on deviant behaviors in college freshmen. The sources reviewed will be grouped based on the nature of deviant behaviors tackled, the method of investigation and the similarity in their findings. • 6. Analysis Of The Book Kazuo Ishiguro Kazuo Ishiguro, although still alive, has already changed the face of the field of literature. He has done this through the variant style with which he writes and the way that his Japanese background influences his writing (Sim). He has a unique writing style that is seldom mirrored in the works of other writers in the same genre (Brownstein). Many critics note that he is always producing different books that have such diverse plots which proves that the most exciting thing about his work is just this refusal to stand still as a writer, this desire to push the envelope (Sim). Kazuo Ishiguro is a writer who, like many, enjoys exploring a certain topic or emotion, and he especially liked writing about how regrets and memories affect people throughout life (Taylor). His utilization of memories and regrets helps him make deep meaningful characters who allow people to sympathize with their causes (Taylor). Kazuo Ishiguro s most important contribution to literature is the variety he adds to his field by incorporating his Japanese heritage, his twist endings that surprise readers, the emotions of memories and regret to allow for realistic characters, and his diverse range of writing. • 8. Process Of A Bill Becoming A Law In The State Of Texas The process of a bill becoming a law in the state of Texas can be harsh and brutal. With the number of complicated steps accompanied by the forces of many different delay tactics, the process can prove to be exhausting. There are seven basic steps: Introduction, referral or assignment to house or senate committees, considered in house or senate committees, placement of bill on a legislative calendar, considered on the house or senate floor, signed or vetoed by governor, and lastly the bill does or does not become a law. Introduction of a bill requires both house and senate members to file a written bill with each of their corresponding clerk members. The clerk then submits the bill to alphanumeric designation where it is available to the eyes of lawmakers and citizens so that they make track its progress. There is a specific time bills can be submitted. They can be submitted the Monday after the November general election. This step can be influenced by many figures outside of Legislative. Interests groups influence legislation as well as the Governor can influence legislation. At this point there are no delay tactics that could prevent the bill from moving on to step two. After introduction of the bill, the referral or assignment to house or senate then takes place. In other words, the bill is assigned to standing committee. The Speaker and Lieutenant Governor appoint committee members and chairs. This gives the presiding officers great power and these vital decisions can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Consequences Of Unisciplined Children In The Veldt By Ray... Consequences of undisciplined children Many people have witnessed a toddler having a meltdown in public only to have a parent sooth them by giving in to the child s demand. Although sometimes this can be a beneficial parenting technique, if a parent over indulges a child too often, then that child can become spoiled. However in The Veldt , Ray Bradbury challenges the idea of satisfying children; he suggests through his tragic tale of the spoiled and undisciplined children Wendy and Peter, that over indulged kids will be taught to not value their family. Through the use of spoiling kids, harms of technology, and conflict, Ray Bradbury shows children need to be disciplined in order to be well rounded individuals. Bradbury uses spoiling Wendy and Peter to show they weren t well rounded, by emphasizing that they were over indulged in materialistic wants. When parents Lydia and George were talking, Lydia explained, They re insufferable let s admit it. They come and go when they like; they treat us as if we were offspring. They re spoiled and we re spoiled. The description of how the parents feel provides the reader with a better understanding that even the parents can no longer control Wendy and Peter s disrespectful ways caused by their mistakes of spoiling the children. Bradbury establishes the kids as so over indulged that even Lydia and George could not discipline the children if they put their minds to it. • 11. Controlling Images of Black Womanhood In Patricia Hill Collins Mammies, Matriarchs, and Other Controlling Images, she illustrates four main stereotypes that Black women face. The first controlling image applied to African American women is The Mammy. The mammy is the faithful, obedient servant to the white family and the stereotype attempts to hide the fact that black women who work for white families are being exploited. By loving and caring for her white children more than her own, the mammy symbolizes the dominant group s perceptions of the ideal black female relationship to elite white male power. The smiling mammy signals her agreement with the situation, seemingly accepting her subordination (Collins, 71). Next is the image of the Black matriarch (Collins, 73). According to the stereotype, they spend too much time away from home, are overly aggressive and unfeminine, and allegedly emasculate their lovers and husbands. This stereotype attempts to control conduct by punishing black women for assertiveness and hides the oppression by making it seem that black women are naturally this way (Collins, 74 75). The third controlling image of Black womanhood is that of the welfare mother, which is linked to Black women s increasing dependence on the welfare state (Collins, 76). This time, the punishment is for failing to work. Rather than being a bad mother for deserting the children, now the concern is being with the children too much and not working. • 14. Family Planning And Poverty The mainstreaming of the family planning agenda in many countries over the decades has been accompanied by increased researcher interest in the subject, with a lot of research attention being focused on the link between family planning and poverty. Empirical research studies using standard economic models have demonstrated that increased access to family planning services is associated with lower rates of poverty. This effect has been posited as occurring through a number of channels. The first channel is the family size channel. As per this channel, increased access to family planning reduces the number of children per family, which results into parents devoting more time and resources per child, and occasioning higher per child investment that should lead to material decline in household poverty (Bailey, Malkova and McLaren, 2013). The second channel is the household income channel. Here, increased access to family planning services helps to free up more resources, which can then be invested in the improvement of the human capital of the parents. For instance, delaying parenthood can enable the soon to be parents to pursue further education, gain more work experience, or enroll for further job training, and thus raise their lifetime earnings levels (Bailey, Malkova and Norling, 2014). For instance, Bailey, Hershbein, and Miller (2012) demonstrated that women who had access to the pill were able to delay motherhood and to invest in their careers, resulting in higher wage ... The Ionic friezes often contained sculpted figures that relate in some way to the functionality of the temple or building. The pediment, which rests on the entablature, usually has the shape of an isosceles triangle with sculpture that varies from low relief to sculpture in the round. Ralph, however, thinks about others but at times can be selfish which can make his evil grow, but Ralph tries to keep his evil at bay. Simon on the other hand only thinks about others, he does not think about himself which stops his evil from arising. Therefore, control of the situation is control of evil self. To begin with Jack, Jack wants power and leadership. The situation Jack is in makes his evil grow. Jack is letting the situation control him which is increasing the evil inside of him. The evil inside him is making him more selfish and violent. For example, at the starting of the novel when Jack had failed to kill the pig he cries to Ralph, [Jack] tried to convey the compulsion to track down and kill that was swallowing him up. I went on. So far, Leif Enger has used Birds in his story as representations of God s presence. This part in the novel, however, is somewhat opposite. After the Lands had stopped by August and Birdie s place, they stared to drive across the boarder into North Dakota. As they were driving on an open road with no other approaching cars, Swede noticed something black, flapping in the middle of the road up ahead. They later realize it is a dead crow. This however was not common what so ever to see a crow in North Dakota. They thought nothing of it and proceeded on their journey. As they kept driving, there was yet another crow found dead in the middle of the road. Jeremiah later goes on to say, I was just thinking, all the years I spent in North Dakota, that s the first crow I ever saw hit on the road. (page 134) Enger purposefully made Jeremiah s line prominent to tell the reader that this was very suspicious and out of the ordinary to see not one, but two dead crows on their way. God still seemed to appear at this moment but in a different perception. God seemed to be warning them that something bad was yet to come. Perhaps if the crows weren t found dead, they could have meaning that the Land s were headed in the right direction.
