Counseling involves discussing an employee's emotional problems to help them cope better. It is a long-term process aimed at improving mental health, not just discussing problems. Employees face many work-related issues in fast-paced societies. Counseling can help address internal problems like lack of confidence or motivation, or external issues like unclear goals or excessive workload. The counselor identifies the problem, analyzes influencing factors, and helps the employee modify problematic forces and behaviors through directive, participative, or non-directive counseling approaches. The goal is for employees to be mentally fit in addition to physically.
