2. 1
I increased the brightness of the image and changed
the colours via the channel mixer, I increased the
intensity of the red and blue colours. This added the
purple effect onto the sky and made the grass appear
brighter.
The brightness was increased by 4% and the red
colour by 6%.
3. 2
I added the artist name and album title at the top of the page, I
used two different fonts and slanted the album title to the left.
This emphasises it against the white background and creates a
contrast between the artist name and title.
I added a website link at the bottom right, this promotes the
website and artist within the age of web 2.0. I used a white font to
stand out against the background of the grass and I used a
different font.
4. 3
I added the shapes below the title, I used two rectangles and I separated
these with a line (thickness at 2mm). I used black for all shapes. I changed
the opacity from 100% to 67% for both shapes, this allows the original
image to appear through the shapes.
5. 4
I added the text within these shapes, I used a white colour in the same font
as the artist name. White stands out against the black background and
emphasises the text, I did this to create synergy and allow my poster
elements to tie together. The use of text helps to promote the poster and
informs the audience.
6. 5
I added the final elements to my poster, including the music production
company, the iTunes logo and a screenshot of the digipak. This promotes
the CD and again creates synergy. I added the iTunes logo as this informs
the audience that they can download the song via Apple Music (using
web 2.0 promotion). The music production company is used to show the
production of the artist and the song.
I made these small so that they did not cover the main image, but were
still visible.
