1. For my digipak is effective due to the use of the consistent colours that I have
used. I decided that my main colours would be white and pink which have worked
fairly well. The use of these colours was effective because the matched the colour
of the wall background that I used. The colours really stood out well together. The
camera shots that is used in this product was medium long shots. I believe that
these were effective as you were able to focus on the face of the artist and the
clothes that he wore which strongly reflected the song. I also editing some of the
photos which allowed the main image to stand out much more.
2. For my magazine advert, I did a similar thing. I ensured I used a consistent
colour scheme throughout and for this product I decided on white and yellow.
The photo that I used was a full body image which was effective as you were
able to see support to the music video. I used the same costume for both the
products which showed the consistency throughout the products. The mise en
scene was also kept the same. This is effective because the final product had a
part using the same wall. It shows a link between the products. However, I did
challenge the conventions of existing products as the usually include an image
of the digipak as well.
3. In terms of my main product the music video, the was the use of
consistency in the costume and the mise en scene. We were able to film
in locations where the artist could show off his money. These areas
where repeated through the video which enabled a story to be
generated. The costume also was similar, one of which was kept the
same but was filmed on two different days. One of my favourite parts of
the production is the ending. This is due to the slow motion effect that
was used which I believe worked very well with the cut off of the song.
