The document describes the process of constructing a magazine. It discusses using layers to bring letters closer together and maintain consistency with fonts used on the cover. It also describes scribbling an outline to give a graffiti effect, erasing around the outside to leave just the needed scribbles, giving an innovative look. Blue was added as an overlay to increase readability and stick to the color scheme. Photographs were edited, such as cutting one on a diagonal, to create interesting angles and shapes not conventionally seen. Multiple layers were used to create a smudged effect on a word. The end result was a magazine with a range of pages containing articles, posters, and images.
2. Here I used
different layers so
that the letters
where closer
together, as I felt it
was more effective
and more
appealing to the
eye. I used to same
font as I did for the
Amplify and Johnny
Davis on the font
cover and double
page spread.
3. I scribbles across and outline of the
word to give a graffiti effect as it is
youthful.
I then proceeded to erase around the
outside of the outline to get ride of the
scribble that wasn’t needed. As I felt
the look needed to be edgy and
interesting.
Then delete the outline and am left
with the original scribbles. Meaning it
has the an innovative look that has not
been seen in magazines before.
4. I added this blue as a
colour overlay to
increase the readability
as the colour was used
on the front cover and
the double page
spread. This colour is
also part of my colour
scheme so sticking to
the original theme.
5. The title looks brilliant
above the photo it looks
like it is floating also the
added informations at
the bottom of the
photograph doesn’t
clash with the title. It all
fits together attractively.
6. This picture was edited to fit
a new idea I had where it
was cut on a diagonal to fit
an interesting new idea to
use different angles and
shapes that aren’t
conventionally seen in or on
a music magazine.
7. Here I used three layers
to create a smudged
effect on the word. One
layer for the words, one
layer for the back
ground and one layer
for the smudge I used
new a fine paint brush
to achieve the effect.
8. I edited two photos to
be on a angle so it
looked different and
new compared to other
people work and other
magazine in the music
industry today.
9. The editors note added to
the contents gave the
magazine a professional
feel, as it has everything
need of a edits note. The
colour also matched and
stuck with the colour
scheme.
10. This was an when I added
detailed work on different
pages I had a range of
pages from 5 to 99. There
was a range of different lists
of articles and posters and
images.
11. I added an stoke to bodies
of people to add a better
outline on the people. I also
used a image in the top
corner to fill a gap. I edited
the photo and made the
photography black and
white to make a contrast on
the page.
