2. Front Cover
We chose to make the front cover
more of a simplistic effect using
the white rose on fire. We
continued the blue theme
throughout editing the fire to be a
blue colour. We have added a
parental advisory image to show
the audience that the song is
explicit as well as the video.
Adding to this the main “Blue Pill”
text is throughout and is at the top
and large to show the audience the
song name. included on this cover
is the artist name on the petals of
the rose.
3. Inside Front Cover
We chose to use this image for our
inside front cover of the pills as well as
the text, as we wanted to carry out the
“Blue Pill” theme throughout the
digipak and we felt we could do that by
using the blue colour throughout as
well as the graffiti text also. In the
inside cover you can also see the main
character and one of the females which
is 50% transparent so you can only just
see them to represent that they are
significant as they are in multiple
covers. The text we used is also the
same text we used in our magazine
advert as well as other covers on our
digipak to carry the theme throughout
4. CD Cover
On the CD itself we added the
image of blue pills to fit with
the title of the song “Blue Pill”
this image was suited well for
the Cd as it’s a minimal size
for an image and this is where
musicians usually get more
creative and have an abstract
image on it that fits with their
song, hence why we have
used the pills.
5. Back inside cover
On the back inside cover we
have used an image of the main
character twice in the blue
colour way as well as a red
flame colour way to contrast.
This adds a bit of contrast to
our digipak as we didn't want to
make it all blue as it could look
like all one image and we
wanted each cover to look
different. In the image the main
character is wearing the
balaclava as it is significant as it
represents the unknown
identity of the character.
6. Back Cover
On the back cover we
have added the track list
of other songs, with this
we have used a dragon
image in blue fire to keep
with the fire theme. We
have used a dragon as
during a trip on drugs or
pills some people have
said to have seen dragons
and strange creatures, so
this fits with the theme of
the song “Blue Pill”
7. Back Inside cover
For the back inside cover
we feel this is the most
explicit image, we have
used this image as it is
voyeurism and adds to
the theme of our video as
there is girls, drugs and
money in it. We have
used this image as it is
one to attract the male
audience to the music
video due to the
voyeurism.
