This document discusses three software programs the author used to create media projects: InDesign, Photoshop, and BlogSpot. For InDesign, the author used columns and guidelines to layout an article and found it useful for structuring written work. With Photoshop, the author edited photographs for a magazine cover, contents page, and interior pages using tools like brightness and saturation. Finally, BlogSpot allowed the author to easily create and edit an online blog to evaluate and showcase their coursework over time.
2. This piece of software allows you to create a well structured piece of work;
mainly used for writing articles and creating columns for writing and
editing. This is an advanced piece of software and uses difficult tools and
editing processes, however the final outcome is very professional and
customised. I used InDesign to create my double page feature; I used the
columns to place in the text for my article as it allows it to be justified and
appear more professional. I used the guidelines for my chosen layout in
order to position my images and create a well structured article. This
software allows you to customise your text and images and make a plan of
your final product through using guidelines. I like this software and will be
using it again for further media projects; it is a very specified piece of
software therefore can only be used for projects like this.

4. Adobe Photoshop allows the editing of photographs and allows the
creation of almost anything. This is a advanced piece of software and uses
difficult tools and editing skills in order to create a professional outcome.
The tools used to edit photographs are very specified and allow you to
manipulate your image and almost every way. When creating a product,
text and other images can be imported onto the document to allow a
customised outcome. I used this software to create my front cover and
contents page; also to edit all photographs used on all three of my
magazine pages. I used different tools for each page in order to give a
different outcome and affect. I used tools such as brightness, saturation,
black and white and airbrush to edit the images used to create the content
of my magazine. I really like this software as it allows professional
products to be produced and you can create anything; although it is
advanced and can be difficult to use.

6. By using BlogSpot, I have learnt how to create and edit my own online blog.
This software is simple to use and is very customised, the tools involved
are complex but easy to use and understand. I used BlogSpot to create my
own media blog, this is used to show and evaluate my AS work and present
what I am doing throughout the course. Embedded codes and links can be
added to take you to different online websites that you have used to
present your work. Different designs and layouts can be used to customise
your blog and you can post new posts each day; there is no limit on the
amount you can or can not post. BlogSpot is layered out in chronological
order and makes your work easy to see and read; it can be accessed by
anybody if your blogger address is public. I really like this piece of software
and I will continue using it throughout my media projects and possibly for
personal use.
